We understand that natural wines can have unconventional or funky flavors, but these appeared spoiled and should not have been served. Our server never returned to ask how the wines were or why we had barely touched them. Instead, we were simply directed to pay through the QR code. The setting has real appeal, but serving clearly spoiled wine and then failing to check on customers made this a frustrating experience, especially given the high ratings & personal recommendation.

Our party was there on a Saturday night, and according to the manager, Evan, we were the last guests on the patio before closing. Mitsi is closed Sunday through Wednesday, so my first point of contact was through Instagram DMs with a staff member I believe was named Ally. I immediately provided detailed information, including approximately where I last had my camera, timestamps, what I was wearing, and that I had been using the camera throughout the night. Instead of conducting what felt like a genuine investigation, she continued to claim she didn't see anything when she went in office. I had to beg and ask for surveillance for insurance purposes. I was sent two short video clips. One showed me walking onto the patio without the camera visible in my hand, and the other showed a completely different Asian woman entering the lounge talking to the hostess. They even zoomed in on her hand while telling me this somehow proved I never brought my camera. It made absolutely no sense. For anyone familiar with a Canon G7X Mark III, it's an extremely popular camera among content creators and influencers in Los Angeles. I had been actively using it all evening, taking flash photos until the battery died. The fact that it wasn't visible in one brief clip that they sent me doesn't mean it was never there. Management also acknowledged there was a cleanup crew after our party and that no other customers were on the patio afterward. If that's true, then the camera didn't simply vanish into thin air. I was hoping management would genuinely help determine what happened instead of dismissing my concerns. I eventually had to go to the restaurant in person when it opened back up Thursday 5/21/25 because I wasn't getting meaningful assistance. The two hostesses avoided eye contact the moment I mentioned the missing camera and immediately brought out the manager, Evan. He told me that security footage could only be accessed by a technician who supposedly comes once a month. However, the footage that had already been sent to me through Instagram was clearly being played back on a phone. At the end of the recording, you can literally see someone swipe out of the video, suggesting the footage was readily accessible enough to record with a cellphone. That explanation simply didn't add up. I also have screenshots showing that I asked them to preserve the security footage the night my camera went missing. I was later told I needed a police report before they could release or review footage. I did exactly that. A theft report was filed, and Detective III S. Lee (#32186) was assigned to the case. According to the detective, multiple attempts were made to contact Mitsi to obtain the surveillance footage. Unfortunately, Mitsi never responded or cooperated. At this point, my frustration isn't only about the stolen camera it's about the lack of transparency, accountability, and cooperation. Businesses don't have to control every incident that happens on their property, but they absolutely control how they respond afterward. In my experience, Mitsi chose to be dismissive rather than helpful. I cannot recommend supporting a business that, in my experience, handled a theft investigation with this level of poor communication and unwillingness to cooperate with law enforcement. I hope management reevaluates how situations like this are handled in the future so other customers don't have the same experience.

This was very tasty. The hashbrown added texture and starchiness to offset the oxtail. And the horseradish kicked in some heat with each bite. My other favorite of the evening was the crunchy duck quesoritto ($23) which is very bar ama-esque. It tastes like a very classy quesadilla with the duck guisada as the filling. I love that it's doused in queso to keep it balanced. They recently launched a brunch menu that I'll definitely back to visit.

The Hamachi Crudo with potato hashbrown, adjika-yuzu and avocado was a standout -- delicate, bright and completely unexpected on a brunch menu.
