My friend has been recommending this place for awhile and now I will too. This is my new go to place in the South Bay. They know the names of their regulars, are clean, and are very attentive. We called ahead for two pedicures and were helped right away. I appreciate that when the color # I picked was not quite the color we saw in the book, I was immediately asked if that was ok or if I wanted to change before they proceeded. I get my nails done at least once a month because otherwise I will bite them :( I have been doing builder gel for the past 3 months, and Elegant Nails is BY FAR the BEST, especially with Trang!! Her attention to detail was amazing, and she took her time with making everything look beautiful. The cat eye effect was so cute and pretty, which I decided to add when I saw her own nails. Came back here for the second time and updating my review with more recent photos. The first time around, I did the cat eye nails. I loved them. They lasted a good month and only had to come back because my nails were growing out. In light of the upcoming season, updated my color schemes to reds this time around. Similar to my first experience, John did a wonderful job on my hands (gel builder). He's thorough and really cares about customer satisfaction. I have been to a LOT of nail salons in Torrance of the years, but this is by far my favorite. Trang was so careful and patient with all my requests and did a lovely job on both polish and nail cleanup. Additionally, I never felt rushed or anxious. It was a very relaxing experience. I usually don't leave reviews but I checked this place out after reading good reviews so I feel the need to leave my honest feedback. My pedicure left me with a sore and infected toe. I don't know if it's from aggressive cuticle trimming or unsterilized tool, but after my pedicure yesterday my toe began to feel sore and this morning it's red. When the person was doing the cuticle trimming, it was painful so I kept inching back but they kept at it. Second, I was surprised that the basic pedicure doesn't come with some callous removal so I picked the pricier pedicure to get my callous removed, and yet they didn't do any of it so I had to point it out and towards the end, another person came to remove my callous. Lastly, on yelp it says they accept apple pay and credit card with no mention of an extra charge if if you don't pay with cash. I was so excited to have found a nail place so close to home but I'll have to look elsewhere. read more

Best nail techs from my experience: Trang, John, Mia, Cindy, and Chi I personally get hard gel because I want polish that lasts me 3-4 weeks and they do a phenomenal job. My pedicures (gel) last 2 months and the shine holds. I work in healthcare so it's important that the builder gel is sealed tight otherwise water will live under my nails and allow bacteria to grow. This place makes sure the health of my nails stays good! I can't speak on design because I love a simple nail. They have DND, OPI, Apres and more! I was a "walk in" on a Saturday around 10:00am. I was greeted and seated immediately. This place is a nice size and very clean. They have a check in service where you put your information in to give you points for your visits. This is a plus!!!! They also give you a stamp card. I had a manicure and pedicure and everything was great. The workers were kind and did a great job. I met the owner Chi and she is absolutely wonderful! I'm not happy with this nail salon. First of all, they work way too fast, and it feels like they don't pay enough attention to the details. I asked for a French gel manicure, but by the second day, the French tips had already chipped. I've never had a gel manicure chip after only two days, so that was really disappointing. On top of that, they're very overpriced for the quality of the service. That said, I can't complain about the staff because they were all very kind and friendly. This morning me and my daughter came in for gel manicure and pedicure. We made an appointment online in the middle of the night and it was accepted about 6am so that was great. We got there about 5 minutes early and they were ready for us, they already had our assigned seat waiting for us to start our pedicure. We both sat down by 9:30 and were out at 10:26. We love our manicure and pedicure and I love how much attention to detail they paid to mine and my daughters nails. They always make us feel comfortable and We will always come back here to get our nails and toes done. We asked if they did gel-x and they did so we said let's try it. I am so so pleased by the service, the friendliness, professionalism, quality of this place. I've been coming to this salon for the past few months and I'm obsessed with the quality and the service. I always get a manicure with John and he does not miss ! This is an update to my review: 3 more of my nails had broken off the day of my graduation. I went back once I got back in town and asked for a refund. The new owner Chi convinced me to allow her to do a brand new set with their best products. Reluctantly I agreed, but I'm happy I did. She was able to do a full set in an hour and my nails still are holding on strong a few weeks later.
