The fellow who ran the place for years has retired and sold the business to some new fellows. The old owner hear-tell retired and moved down to a farm he owns in Kentucky. The old owner wasn't that friendly, but the new guys do seem to be much more so. Still the same great hot dogs, same great fries when fried extra crispy, prices haven't changed yet, and neither has the decor and ambiance. Give this place and the new owners a try.

The drinks were perfect. The Black Kows is basically a root beer float and served with an extra root beer "sidecar." Our only complaints were about errors with the garnishes. We specifically said we wanted all the garnishes on both dawgs and they only gave us the standard grilled onions on the Whoopskidawg and forgot the sport peppers on the Superdawg.
