Prices are what you expect for a sushi place around here. If you are looking for a restaurant with fantastic service this would not be the place to choose. My husband ordered the Kisoro roll and Mango tuna roll and they were super delicious. I ask for a roll with the salmon cooked (because Im pregnant) and she told me that they can't do it; that they do not cook the salmon. I think is very lame and stupid that they cannot make a roll with the salmon cooked, because there are other plates of salmon in the menu (not rolls or sushi) that will obviously be cooked and served with a complement. So I think the waitress just told me they cant do it because she have no idea or because the chef is just too lazy to do it for me. After two days of traveling and eating mostly fast food Kisoro was like heaven on earth for me and my boyfriend. Even if we hadn't been dying for fresh food, their food would still be exceptional. My avacodo salad was exactly what I needed and my maki roll was delicious. My boyfriends beef terriaki was cooked perfectly and the sauce on it was great. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Good sushi menu, depending on what you order can be served with an elaborate plating design, very cool. Service is kind of a hit or miss, but have never had any big problems. They have a good plum sake, but watch out, it's very sweet but quite potent. Don't go overboard. read more

Came here around 8pm on a Sat. Intended to get sushi. We were seated immediately, and our server was brisk but pleasant and attentive; always offering to fill our drinks (a water and a hot tea) as soon as they became low. There were a good amount of people there, I thought, for it being after regular dinner hours, but I guess that's because it was Saturday. We ordered an appetizer (gyoza) and my friend and I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the Kisoro roll, respectively. The app came out within 5 minutes, and was hot and tasty. Our sushi came much slower, but when it arrived it was delicious, and beautifully prepared. The tempura on my roll had a wonderful crunch while remaining very light, and my friend's roll was LOADED with the spicy tuna! We both enjoyed it very much, and intend to eat here again! To recap: we ordered water and hot tea, an appetizer, and a sushi roll each. Serve time on the main dish was a little slow, but the food tasted fresh and flavorful. We also felt it was good value ($) for the meal. I imagine this would be a great lunch spot, too. Recommend! read more

Terrible service-We were waived over to a table by the waitress, she never greeted us. She left two menus on the table and walked away, she still didn't greet us or even smile at us! Waitress finally came back and asked if we wanted something to drink, still haven't greeted us at this point! We ordered, got the food, which was bland and void of flavor. We were extremely disappointed and will not return to this restaurant. As my husband paid the bill, the same waitress never said, thank you, come back or even acknowledged we were ever there. My buddies and I usually go out for sushi every Monday, where we find new restaurants and try their dishes out. This last Monday, we were all to busy. So we decided to go out for sushi Tuesday night. I heard about Kisoro place on the radio and have driven passed it several times. I have always been curious to try this place out. I gathered my friends and we head out for Kisoro. As we drove up, we were the only car in the brightly lit lot. I wasn't too concerned just yet. We walked in and I was shocked to see the restaurant empty. Granted it was 8 o'clock in the evening on week night, but I'm from a big city, so eating this late was a norm. I guess that isn't the case in Clarksville. Anyways, the decor and ambiance of the place was nice and mellow. Even with it being empty, I didn't have that "cold" and plain feeling. A nice server showed us to our table and regaled us with tonight's specials. She uttered, "Buy one get one free on beers and Sake." My buddies and I were in disbelief! With that said, my friend and I both ordered Sapporo, while my other friend opted for a Coke (he was being a responsible driver). As I looked over the menu, I was not overwhelmed, rather I was comforted that it was not cluttered. Usually you go to Sushi restaurants and you find yourself immersed in a messy menu with everything they have to offer. Kisoro's menu had plenty to offer but was clean and easy to read. We all ordered the same thing that we usually order when we go to Sushi restaurants. I ordered the Spicy Tuna, Eel and Avocado roll, and Chicken Teryaki. My buddy Paul ordered his usually Sashimi plate with and extra order of Tuna Sashimi and lastly my other friend, Mitchell ordered his usual Dragon Roll. He wanted to try something super spicy though, the server recommended the Siracha Roll. As we waited for our entrees, the server brought us the our starters of Miso Soup and salad with their house dressing. The Miso Soup was good, but nothing remarkable. The salad on the other hand, was amazing. We all agreed that the dressing was spectacular. We continued to munch away and the server would constantly check how we were and refilled out drinks promptly. She was very diligent and quite nice. I really appreciated her service. Soon after, she brought us our meals. We were all delighted. The rolls looked big, the fish looked fresh and the color was amazing. Needless to say, I was already amazed with everything before hand but this just put me over the edge! My friend mentioned that he noticed that they put more fish than rice in the rolls than all the other places we've visited. Paul also noted that his sashimi had fresh fish! The color was deep and glistening and he added the flavor was exquisite. I was also amazed that they added fresh Uni (Sea Urchin) to his plate. That was quite interesting, considering that we are in a land lock state. My meal was outstanding! The Spicy Tuna was delicious, spicy and delectable. The Eel and Avocado was just as good, the sauce didn't drown the roll out. I also ordered the Yellow Tail Sashimi, and that was fresh and outstanding as well. Unfortunately, the only downfall to this glorious dinner was the Chicken Teryaki. Although, the portions were generous, the chicken lacked flavor and so did the fried rice. I was not thoroughly impressed, however the overall meal made up for it. In conclusion, you can see my enthusiasm with this establishment. They have definitely earned my business and my number one sushi restaurant in Clarksville. The prices are decent and competitive, the fish are fresh and the service impeccable. Awesome specials such as buy one get one free beer on Mondays and Tuesdays. I definitely recommend this restaurant to any Sushi lover out there, especially if you're from a big city! Being new to Clarksville I am on a mission to find the best restaurants for every genre of food. You always have to have a good sushi place and the first one that I tried was Kisoro which is right by my place. It is a nice quiet restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I read some previous reviews of poor service. I have to say that are service was excellent. Our server (Tori I believe was her name) was very nice and patient with us (we took a long time to decide on rolls). She even offered her opinion on what her favorite rolls and best sellers were. We eventually ended up with the Tennessee roll and the lobster roll. Both of them were fairly good. I preferred the lobster roll and my counterpart preferred the Tennessee roll so that worked out well. We also ordered a side of veggie fried rice which was excellent and a nice compliment to the rolls. I haven't been to any other sushi places yet but I will definitely be back here to try some other rolls and the hibachi. If you're looking for good sushi at a reasonable price then Kisoro is a great option. read more
