FIVE STARS! My husband and I came here for dinner before a movie, we chose Kisoro because of the convenience of being across the street from the theater. We ordered house salads, miso soup, shrimp tempura roll, Clarksville Roll and the New Kisoro Roll. The ginger dressing is perfect, miso soup wasn't as salty as I like but I'm not gonna knock it down. The rolls were perfect, great presentation and all tasted fresh. The service was the best part of it all, my husband really wanted some cheesecake tempura but they sold out. In Dallas, this type of restaurant would be $$$. What I got: great prices, quick and friendly service, and delicious food. The steak hibachi was phenomenal, perfectly cooked and piping hot. The low mein wasn't too oily and the fried rice was yummy. Funny thing: one seat over a 2 year old was crying. The embarrassed mother got up to leave fearing her daughter was disrupting everyone. The waitress rushed over to stop her, sweetly asked to hold the crying toddler and the mother agreed. The instant she handed her over, the little girl stopped. I ate here with a buddy last night and it was great! The service was probably the best part, we had a waiter who was joking around with us and generally having a good time. The sushi was great too, I got the green caterpillar roll and it was just spicy enough. I love sitting at the sushi bar and watching the chef and the one here is very friendly. He made us a tempura appetizer that was delicious. They also have a good selection of sakes. All in all, great restaurant, I'm happy to have all sorts of stuff popping up on Tiny Town. read more

Ok, let's start with the food. Can I say amazing? And this is coming from a California girl who had been eating so her whole life. Although they don't have told like they do in California their roll selection is Ok. My first visit I asked for a rainbow roll but instead of the inside being a California I asked if they can male the inside a spicy tuna. I guess they didn't understand and they just gave me a spicy tuna roll, I complained and they were very accommodating. The second time my husband and I ordered To go. They got all my orders correct except for 1 roll. Imagine my disappointment. But I called and they said they'll give me my roll with no extra cost and that I could keep the roll that I have. The service was poor. She served our app just before the entree showed up. The waitress forgot our fried rice with the entree. We said something to her about it and she just forgot about it again. The food was luke warm. But what upsets me the most is the couple sitting next to us came in just after us and got great service. We complained about the service and got 10% off the bill. The sushi here is on point. However, all the reviews about horrible service is true. The usual waitress barely says anything to you the entire time of your visit. She was rude, unhelpful, and acted like she didn't want to help you in the first place. Not only that, but the management thinks it's okay to use a restaurant as their personal daycare center. Their children have free reign of the restaurant and listen to their ipads as loud as can be. The atmosphere completely ruins the place for me. We went here for lunch this week. The food I ordered was good. We started with a small salad which had a delicious dressing on it, much better than the dressing at Yamoto. The miso soup, in my opinion, had no taste and I didn't care for it. I did really enjoy the salmon I ordered and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce on it was very good. The fried rice was a bit bland, but not bad. All in all, it was pretty good, and the waiter was so sweet and polite and didn't miss a beat with the service. Perfect for dates as the atmosphere is quite cozy and dimly lit. The price was decent and we'll definitely go again. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open as Tiny Town is kind of barren food wise. I was not disappointed. We went on a busy Fri night. The place is smaller but not crowded at all. My only complaint was the service. They were all very nice but clearly overwhelmed and they appeared short staffed. Our food was extremely delayed and it took an abnormal amount of time to get our order taken but the food was divine. My husband and I got 6 rolls, a miso soup, a house soup, and a calamari app and it was all delicious. The sushi was fresh and presented well. This places would of been 5 stars had it not been for slow service. Once they work out the kinks this place could go far. read more

We dined here last Friday night and the fact that we actually were even ever served at all is the most significant part of our experience. Upon arrival, most tables appeared full, although we were seated within 15 minutes (not bad for a Friday night in Clarksville). Roughly 10 minutes later, drink order was taken. From this point on, our service seemed to disappear. I got the impression no one even knew our table existed. Finally, at around 45 minutes, we were able to order our appetizers, crab Rangoon and gyoza, and decided it best to put the rest of our order in (in case our table was again forgotten). We ordered 5 rolls (peanut avocado, spiderman, volcano special, Alaska, and Philly). An hour later, my husband received his rolls, while I waited for mine. My rolls slowly eased out from behind the bar, one by one, about 20 minutes later. Our whole experience took 2.5 hours. Who allocates that much time for dinner any more? We will not be back to try again. It was a real shame, too, because the food, itself, was really good, but the hassle and the service just ruined it for us. read more

The sushi was excellent it was very artful as well as delicious. You could tell the sushi chef took great pride and skill in his work The back of the house could work on some things though. I ordered steak and scallops for my meal. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium well other than that the meat and veggies were good. The rice could use more flavor though it needed more oil and my girlfriends chicken and rice was dry as well and lacked flavor. She only took one bite of hers and didnt eat any more and I didnt eat my rice either. The atmosphere and cleanliness was an A+ and the service was fast and professional could not ask for better servers. I will come back again but the fried rice and over cooking for the chicken and beef needs to change to increase customer flow and repeat business. read more

The sushi is awesome and the people are friendly. I'm giving it 3 stars because of how long the to-go orders take to receive. Every time I order, I am told 15-20 minutes. I will get to the restaurant 20 minutes later and wait for another 15-20 minutes to receive my food. I continue to come back because I love the sushi and it is so close to my house, but I have waited an hour for my sushi to-go. If they would give me a realistic estimate or have the food prepared when they say they will, I would give this 5 stars. read more

Hateful waitress! I have throat issues and can not eat anything spicy. I specifically asked if the sauce on the sushi roll was spicy. She said no they dont have that sauce. I said great since I cant have anything spicy I will try it. I get the roll and it has a wasabi sauce on it, much to my horror I realize this as I am eating it. So no apology she just looks at me like I am stupid and doesnt understand why I am upset after telling her twice. This place is amazing! The sushi was great and so fresh! I tried the hibachi chicken and it was pretty good. Not horrible but the taste was just a little different then the one I typically go to. A quick update to my last review, we now go to this place at least a few times a month. They have fixed the wait staff issue that they had when they opened and have the best server in Clarksville working there, if you go there make sure that Wendy is your server. She is very good at her job as well as being a nice person. After having her as a waitress a few times she will remember you, it's always nice to go somewhere that the server knows you. Their sushi and chicken katsu are still the best in the area. I highly recommend getting the tuna and salmon avocado rolls!! read more

We have eaten here twice while traveling to FLD. Both times we have enjoyed an array of sushi rolls, dumplings, and soup. We were served quickly, questions were answered well. It's hard to decide what to have: many choices! This last time I had the spicy salmon roll and was disappointed with the consistency. A bit mushy for my taste. But the food tastes fresh and is presented nicely. I have not had the entrees, only rolls, appetizers and soups. For a weary traveller or a local, this place is worth a stop. read more

I am from Florida, and so I am used to sushi that is so fresh, it was swimming that morning. That being said, this is one of the best sushi places in town in terms of freshness. For Tennessee, this sushi is pretty good. The specialty rolls have plenty of creativity and variety. Depending on the time of day and the day of the week, the place can be pretty dead, but I've never had a bad meal there. read more
