I had a really really good time here tonight. A really good time. The entertainment was wonderful and on point. The Queen showed up and showed out tonight chile - and all while being beat to the Gods, might I add. The food: The food was pretty good. I had the Mae West which is fried chicken, greens and mashed potatoes with a waffle. The chicken was moist and the waffle was perfect. I could've passed on the braised greens and mash though; the greens were bland and the mashed potatoes were cold and dry (really dry). The drinks were pretty decent -- try their Bloody Mary Martini as it was spiced just right, if you're into that kind of thing. I also had a Long Island and a Kool-it, and they were also pretty good. The space: This place isn't big at all. Accordingly, the tables are all very scrunched together and the seating is pretty tight, whether you're at the bar, a booth or a table. But, it's a club/lounge so I consider that par for course. Their bathroom was too cute and had very modern decor. The service: Omg the service was amazing. The guy waiters are TOO CUTE, all of them are freggin adorable!!! They were prompt, super sweet, knowledgable, accommodating and handsome. No complaints there. The price: We did a party pack, which is $60 per person and includes (per person) 2 drinks, dinner, 3 appetizers for the table, and desert for the table. As an aside, BRING CASH TO TIP THE PERFORMERS. Parking: Brutal. It's Lakeview. The parking situation is eerily reminiscent of parking in Santa Monica. Anyway, you really have got to get there early our you're gonna be walking mad blocks. If you can, alternately, take the redline and get off on Addison. I've been there before with my older daughter, and now it's the middle one's turn for the "Diva" experience! There were four of us...made reservations in advance... we arrived, we were seated. A lot more bachelorette parties there now than I remembered. The bartenders/servers have the patience of saints! Frau, frau, sugary cocktails, with cutesy names, all around! I come here with friends for their Sunday Brunch often and I always have a great time. The food is delicious and the booze package is on point! With the Sunday Brunch you had two options 1) $29.95 for bottomless mimosas/Bloody Marys/bellinis or sangrias with a biscuit and the choice of 3 entrees (Divalicious Bruch prix fixe) 2) You pick what you want off the Divalicious Brunch menu and can add the bottomless mimosas/Blood Marys/bellinis or sangrias for $14.95 Along with the great food here they also have a performer (Drag Queen) who is there for your entertainment. I came here during happy hour, which serves $4 martinis and has half off their small plates. The deal was fantastic. I got 3 drinks and an appetizer and my bill was under $20! so fun! I came here for a rum tasting at 3 in the afternoon. I must say the bartender was awesome and the entertainment was great too. Really friendly and super fun, also, they interact with the customers well and never let you feel left out at all. I had the bacon mac and cheese with truffles- literally to die for. I felt like it needed a little more salt but once I had added said salt it was amazing. We managed to try the Spiced Pina colada, the tiki warrior queen, the sailor jerry lemonhead, and the sailor jerry mai tai. The best one was the Pina colada, and I have to mention that I am not a fan of coconut at ALL and this one wasn't coconutty. It was smooth and creamy, a hint of sweet and an aftertaste of spice that was incredible. The Lemonhead is for people who like their alcohol strong- this one seems to be more for the men. Has an edge of lime to it that adds a kick to the rum. The mai tai was sweet and works perfectly on a warm summer afternoon. The warrior queen was well mixed, but lacked a certain impression- seemed to be the 'beer', and the most neutral of all the drinks. It is definitely sweet though, it comes with pineapple and orange juice and the grenadine does not stand out at all. I will be back for the shows and the pina colada with the mac and cheese. Terrible service, falsely advertised prix fixe and a "bottomless" brunch with terms and conditions that you'd need to go to law school to comprehend. One extra star for the show stopping performance by Madam X! We came here as a group of 8 for a friend's farewell brunch. A few of us picked the prix fixe which was advertised as a first course of beignets, a main course, and bottomless bloody marys, rose vodka spritzer, bellinis, and mimosas. We were told and reminded that there is a 2 hour seating limit, and that would be the extent of our bottomless brunch. We picked the 1PM - 3PM slot, but no one came to take our drinks order till about half an hour after we were seated. Also, the bottomless brunch isn't self service, unlike a few other brunch spots, so you're essentially at the mercy of the servers if you want to procure a drink. Our table was ignored while drinks kept flowing to all of the other tables in the main section (bachelorette and birthday parties). The servers here are some of the worst, most apathetic I've seen, and on top of that, they slap a gratuity fee for tables larger than 6, so it's like we were paying to be ignored. We were sitting around with empty glasses for large swaths of time, and we had to flag down the servers actively to get refills. Food didn't even arrive for the first one hour and fifty minutes, which was around ten minutes before their "two hour" seating time. My chicken and waffles was cold and tasted like garbage. Seriously, there was no syrup even, but I was beyond the point of complaining. After asking them several times for our beignets, we were told that the kitchen is "out" of beignets, and we were given shitty Whole Food looking cupcakes instead. Also, they are two bathrooms, located right next to the kitchen, and there was a mob of servers and people needing to pee bumping into each other. One of the bathrooms was clogged up so we stood in line for 15 minutes to use the one disgusting but in service bathroom. Loved Madam X but zero stars otherwise to this hellhole. read more

The performances were nice and fun, but the unprofessional, crude behavior by the ownership left me never wanting to return to this establishment. I had never experienced such blatantly rude inappropriate behavior in my life. I will not spend my hard earned money in a place that is not welcoming of everyone. Very sad, I was hoping for more but left largely underwhelmed because of a lack of customer care. Perhaps you should not book performances so closely together if you have to physically push dining patrons out the back door and tell a lie that someone was seriously ill and you had to rush people out for medical professionals to come in, how distasteful. I mean an employee and the owner were screaming to the top of their voices, "Get Out!" It was demeaning. I hope they do better, but I suspect nothing will change. read more

We had a perfectly amazing time at Kit Kat. I feel like I have no expectations of a drag queen place to serve good drinks or good food, because I expect the entertainment to be the focus. BUT, Kit Kat pretty much has it all. Loved the performer. She was fun, talented, and had lots and lots of costumes. I loved that they do about 15 minute breaks in between performances - gives you time to talk and drink. The food was excellent. I had the chicken and waffles, and it rivaled the other best chicken and waffles I've had (in Houston). Their portions are generous. We did the bottomless mimosas and bottomless Bloody Mary martinis. As a first timer here, I will try not to be too critical but I'll start off by saying I'm disappointed we didn't get a show. I called to make a reservation and the sweet voice on the phone said Wednesday at 7pm was a perfect time to arrive before the 730pm show and took my name and phone number to hold our spot. Since Kit Kat is in Boystown and street parking is the only option, we decided to arrive early. We arrived at 6pm and they easily accommodated us as we were literally the only ones there. Our super cute server brought us menus right away and didn't change his demeanor when we said we were here on a Groupon. (HUGE plus for this as I've experienced other venues getting upset that I'm using a Groupon.) Although all the severs are not looking to take a lady home at the end of the evening, they sure are very easy on the eyes and sweet as honey to all the patrons. The atmosphere appears to be high fashion with their silver benches, zebra print chairs, white table cloths and pink/purple lighting. However, you can dress up or down to your liking for Kit Kat Lounge as there is no dress code. The walls are covered in projector screens showing cartoons such as The Pink Panther and old timey Christmas cartoons (Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman!) The food came out quickly and the waiter continued to visit our table with regular frequency to ensure our comfort and refill our water glasses (major plus!) We ordered the Cesar salad, the salmon over mashed potatoes and broccoli, the burger with fries and two delicious martinis. Unfortunately, the food along with never seeing a show (which, as we were told, was cancelled last minute) is where Kit Kat loses stars....the lettuce in our salad was old. Like a few days old, wilted and not crunchy at all. The burger seemed to be cooked to my date's liking but not very flavorful and although my salmon was good, the broccoli was way overcooked and wilted as well as the cabbage underneath. I'm still not sure if I was supposed to eat the cabbage or not... We came here for good food and entertainment, none of which we were given. I cannot speak badly of the atmosphere or the staff, those were great! But I wish someone had told us before we made plans and reservations that there would be no show. read more

OH Kit Kat Lounge. How do I describe your wonderfulness?!?! I took a red eye from L.A. to Chicago and was worried I would be tired the first day I was there. BOY was I wrong. We took a quick nap and walked to Kit Kat and had an incredible time with Madame X. Madame X did Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Whitney (may she RIP) and Minaj. My omelette was only made better by her fabulousness. Bfast was good and so were the drinks. They even had a cocktail with rubber duckys in them. LOVE. Tip: There is usually a 5-8 minute show of an artist followed by 10 min of regular DJ. So you get a nice drag show followed by a break with good music in between. For the ladies, Wednesday evenings are the best with half priced martini's and entrees are buy one get one free. I usually get a group of girls together and have a nice session (after making reservations!) Although the combination of drag queens, martinis and phallic shrimp skewers was not my expected result for the evening I really enjoyed myself. The martini menu is beautiful and the waitstaff knows exactly what to get in that realm. I wanted A fruity martini without a strong vodka taste and smooth on the palliate. I should remember what he gave me, but I also had three of them. The food was good, but had the air of trying to be fancy but not quite making itfood was on the colder side and the oil used for my fried shrimp was a little off. Their martini menu would satisfy any dessert craving; especially the key lime martini with a graham cracker rim! Went for a bachelorette party this weekend and had the best time! They did an amazing job. Food and drinks were delicious.

We had such a fun night. We were there with a large birthday group. The food was good. I heard the martinis were wonderful, but I am a designated driver, so I had a strawberry lemonade! It was the best strawberry lemonade I have ever had. Our diva was great! Came out sang one or two songs then went back for a costume change and came out a few minutes later. Whether it's happy hour or brunch, you'll find a martini for you! This time around, my friend and I came here for happy hour. Between 5:30 and 7p, martini and small plates have special prices. My favorite is the classic dirty martini. You have your choice of blue cheese olive or regular olive. Then I saw the book of martinis, and the seasonal flavors. The salted caramel and pumpkin pie martini is divine!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, if you have a friend.. make them buy a different flavor so you can try theirs. The porn star martini comes with a fun surprise. I know, Pride is CRAZY! But they just aren't ready. The drinks were f'd up, they gave me a blood Mary with no booze and my friend got both drinks' vodka in her cup. It wasn't corrected when pointed out. I just drank half her drink. The menu was too much for them to deliver on, the food was messy and not great. They should have had a five drink/five item menu and called it good. It took over an hour, closer to 1.5, to get our meals. Maybe it's good on regular days but it's a big no for me for any sort of busy event. read more

The so called "owner" came to us and told us we could not sit this close to each other due to the chicagos covid 19 new rule. We completely understood exactly what he was saying but, if the host sat us down like this that means you never once discussed the new rules to your employees. The way the "owner" was speaking to us made it seem like we as customers did something wrong. The entire time of us enjoying ourselves the "owner" was starring at us with the weirdest face. He had an attitude. He was rude. My group order drinks and food. Our bill was about $600. For the amount we had paid it was not worth the price at all. The food was disgusting and bland. When I looked around, OMG! The decor is BEAUTIFUL. Shiny, silver, comfortable big booths/tables, with Zebra accent chairs and disco balls galore. I knew instantly I was in store for a good time! I looked at the menu, unlimited mimosas/bloodys, two course meal for $40! ummm, yes please!! I ordered the biscuit n honey butter and the steak/eggs dish. The food was phenomenal. I usually DESPISE bloody mary's but friend convinced me to try hers. I ordered about six (no joke) after trying hers. In.freaking.LOVE! The service was great. The server was nice, attentive, and oh so very patient with my drunk ass that broke a glass (lol, fail!) But what is most important, you ask? The drag queen. She was phenomenal. I've never been to a brunch that has a live performer giving us such amazing entertainment. She had us all singing along and dancing and taking lots of pics! She was uber sweet and quite lovely on the eyes, if you ask me. Meow! Came here with a friend to celebrate their fabulous 33rd birthday! My friend had made very last minute reservations to celebrate their birthday- usually you have to call two weeks in advance to reserve a table. We were very fortunate that we were able to get squeezed in- even though we were seated in a not so comfortable spot but hey, beggars cannot be choosers. I don't drink but the rest of my party did so they ordered two pornos and Lady Gaga martini for starters. Why do they call it a porno drink? Because you get a facing down porno card with it. Viewer discretion advised: may or may not make you giddy! I ordered a virgin pina coolada and the Coco Chanel burger. In addition, we ordered the shrimp tacos, crab cakes and calamari for appetizers. The service was great- the waiter was extremely attentive, always coming back to check on us and inquire on our stay. Our food came quickly- the crab cakes were delicious. Not overly cooked but the crab cake also wasn't falling apart because it was under cooked. I didn't get a chance to try the tacos or the calamari but I will say, portions are big enough for two people to literally just have a taste. Keep in mind, it's a small plate not a platter people! As for the burger- ugh, what a disappointment. I ordered well done but that burger was SO dry- it's like the ketchup said asta luego amigo and ran from the plate. If it wasn't for the extra ketchup I was given to go along with my sweet potato fries- I would have choked eating the burger. The Pina Coolada was good but keep in mind that this place is a lounge, you come here for the entertainment and the drinks- not so much for the food. The rest of my party got so litty- they were having the time of their lives! I didn't try their drinks but judging from their energy- I'd say they were super good. To be honest, this was a rather surprise visit for me so I didn't prepare myself for the performance and since I don't carry cash with me (safety reasons), I wasn't ready to tip the performer! So don't show face without a couple of dollars stacked in your wallet. The performer is absolutely fabulous- by far the best body I've seen in a long time! Homegirl (he) killed it! Queens with the fiercest looks, get ups, and def not shy about shaking what their momma gave 'em... this place is thumbs up if u want to be entertained. If ur looking for a peaceful and civilized dining experience, just keep on walking. I went with a couple of my gf's for their $5 wed martini's and there wasn't much of a wait. We weren't very hungry so ordered the calamari and ordered multiple rounds of drinks. The martini's are great as other friends have mentioned..I believe I got the French martini, Pomegranate, and something else.. guess the vodka got to me by then :P I finally got to see Beyonce and Lady GaGa perform~ drag queen styles. Beyonce performer looked more like a Beyonce-Lil Kim mix with the silver pasties on the niblets, but she gave a wild and exciting performance. Fun, but not didn't meet our expectations. We thought we would get to see multiple drag queens performing, not just one at a time. There's so much art and skill put into a drag queen's ensemble, I think it would have been more fun to have multiple queens walking around interacting with guests. Then they could create a persona with the audience even before they come out to perform. Anyways, that's not how it is here and that would be fine if the performances were really great. But the two performances we saw were pretty different, which led to an inconsistent experience. The first queen came out and worked the room, tweaking and interacting with the crowd, which was much more fun. But the next one came out and basically walked around lip-syncing and expecting money. There was no performance or skill to her show. We also got a party package and, while the martinis were decent, the desserts were clearly store-bought little cupcakes haphazardly put on a plate. We ended up leaving early and going to a karaoke bar instead. read more

The food is delicious (i highly recommend the Brigitte Bardot), light yet very filling. The service is also great, the weekends are always packed, so it may take a little longer to get everything when there are giant parties in the restaurant, but it's all worth the wait. There for a birthday brunch with a party of eight. The drag performances were fine, our server was good . But the Bloody Marys were warmed and served in martini glasses. I sent mine back and ordered another drink, it was decent. The steak salad was disappointing - it tasted all right, but cooked too done, the greens looked a little wilted, and no steak knife to cut it. The blue cheese was the best part of the selection .
