The brick french toast went viral on tiktok so i stopped in to try. Not sure if its a one off, but my french toast was dry and unseasoned. The strawberry sauce was fresh though. The meat was so juicy and the hollandaise sauce was full of flavor. You get the option to choose your side - hash browns, fruit, and toast. I decided with hash browns which I do not regret. It's different than your typical hashbrowns, it was like crispy shreds of potato which I personally prefer. We also got the smoked meatloaf hash skillet which comes with a side of toast of your preference. It was good, very savory and full of flavor. Grand Opening on March 12 | Wednesday Galbi Jjim Eggs Benedict and French Toast are by far my two favorite dishes I recommend here at @kitch_cafe . It's at the perfect spot right across from the Fullerton Barnes & Noble off of Malvern. They got legit espresso machine and serving up lattes using @bebrightcoffee beans! OKAYYYYYYYY! So this place was just amazing. BEST EGGS BENEDICT I have ever had!! We got: Galbi jjim eggs Benedict with their hashbrowns 10/10 Banana French toast 9/10 (recommended to us from a server) and Matcha lattes with ube syrup 6/10 (but they have multiple syrup options! Maybe ube just wasn't it..?) We arrived on a Saturday around 10:40am and arrived right before the rush! If you come on a Saturday between 11-1 pm it is probably packed and you can expect some wait time. But it just might be worth it!! The eggs Benedict is for sure one of the best I have had, coming from a big critic. The base was not soggy or too toasted, and the egg was done just perfectly: warm and cooked through with a completely runny and silky egg yolk, jiggly whites but not overcooked! And the sauce was AMAZING! It was not broken, did not get that hardened film on top as it sat out, and the meat was so flavorful and tender. Paired with hashbrowns cooked crispy on the outside without being crunchy, flavorful onions.... Everything about this dish amazes me. The banana French toast was also so unique!! A bit less to say since I had less of it after getting full on the eggs, but the cubed toast was so unique and actually allows for you to really grab onto the thick, balanced sweet cream with each bite, SO GOOD! The bananas were fresh and sweet, and overall, presented so beautifully! We took it in a to-go box and finished later at home. Now I would have totally given five stars besides their matcha .. not sure if we got an off batch or if it's the ube syrup that did not pair well, but the matchas did not have too strong of a flavor, were a bit grainy, and not as creamy as I would have wanted. Good intentions just aren't good enough... The menu loos amazing! You get your hopes up only to be underwhelmed. The fluffy pancakes lack flavor and are just too eggy. The smoked brisket breakfast burrito was the same...small amount of brisket, mostly potatoes that were crispy on the outside and gummy on the inside...and lacking flavor. The avocado toast? Same- no flavor. The thing for me is a beautiful plate only gets you to the first bite, then it's all taste...and there just wasn't any. So we got there at 9:45am today (Sunday). Ordered 4 meals and 3 drinks...first meal came maybe 15 minutes later...second meal maybe 5 minutes after that...the other two meals maybe 8-10 minutes after that. And as we watched everyone else in the restaurant, we noticed a lot of the same...tables with one person with food waiting for everyone else at the table to get theirs. I admit I'm not a chef and I don't know what it takes to serve a complete table at a time, but it's unacceptable to get all the meals at a table over a span of 30 minutes. And drinks? After 45 minutes of waiting we canceled. I saw at least 7 people who came in after us get their drinks ahead of us...in some cases ordering the same thing. And to top it off, the guy who was trying to refund my drinks just told me to trust him that the refund worked despite him not knowing of it worked and also not being able to print a receipt for me or prove that he actually refunded my money. Which prompted a guy I thought was maybe the owner or manager to literally pull money from his own pocket and hand it to me with an apology. Insanely poor execution of good intent. The wait staff was running table to table, clearly overwhelmed but all with a smile. I felt bad for them. They were understaffed by a long shot and yet looked like they couldn't have fit another person on staff...simply too many customers ordering too many things and not nearly enough capacity to serve them all. I heard one guy complain that he ordered 50 minutes earlier and still didn't have food. I heard one of the baristas tell a waiter they were behind one hour on drinks...then he laughed. The ambiance could work with the beauty of the food if they found a way to meet capacity or stop people from ordering AND they added some flavor. Anyway, I wonder if I'd give a 4 or 5 star if I went here in a slow day, and just salted my food. I live super nearby this shopping center and was excited to see an original, non chain restaurant open up. From what it seems like, they just barely opened last week, so not sure how much of this experience may change in the future. For starters, the space is very cute and clean with tons of natural light and feels like the perfect spot for brunch. They have both indoor and outdoor self seating, and even though it was busy, it was still very easy to find a table after we placed our order. We ordered off the brunch menu when we came, but they also offer pizzas and salads for lunch/dinner and they looked pretty good! The brunch menu had many unique options that we were pretty excited to try, but if there was one note I would give, there were not a lot of protein options outside of beef and pork. For vegans or anyone looking for leaner options (turkey or chicken) there won't be much to choose from on that end. Still, their menu is very solid with a lot of options you won't find at any other brunch spot nearby. For their drinks their options are actually more varied than their menu lists (I was surprised that the lattes had many different flavors to choose from that were not listed on the menu). For food we chose the Matcha Pancakes, Biscoff Banana French Toast, and a side of Portuguese sausage. The pancakes were tasty, but for $16, the portion size did not match the price being charged. The plate was very pretty, but the size of the pancakes were on the smaller end and you'll only get two of them (most other breakfast spots will at least give you close to a full stack or larger sized pancakes for that price point). On the other hand, the French toast was perfectly portioned, but was unfortunately pretty dry despite all the sauce and cream that it came with. It's a great flavor combo, but the bread kept it from really being a home run. The sausage was great, and very fresh and one of the tastier items I had. I think most of the downfalls of the food came from the restaurant still being new, and not fully working out the kinks of their offerings. The menu is ambitious, but I think with some simplifying and tweaks, the experience would be more consistent! That being said, I was very curious to try some of their other offerings which all sounded really tasty! Service wise, there is a lot being done right and a lot that needs to be improved. First and foremost, the staff is exceptionally welcoming and kind. Carissa took our order and was so friendly, she really gave a great first impression! Despite this, the service was inconsistent. While we were told our food would take longer to come out, it actually arrived at our table only minutes after ordering! While this was great, our lattes took almost a full hour to arrive at our table. We would frequently be checked on by the staff (and at one point the owner) asking if there was anything missing, and we would still go large amounts of time after without anything arriving. At one point we were brought a drink that was not the correct order and unfortunately had to send it back before waiting almost another 15 minutes without anything. It would take another incorrect order being sent to our table before the item I had ordered had been delivered, which by that point I was more set on leaving the restaurant than getting my coffee. If there was one saving grace for this situation, it was that the staff and the owner were super apologetic and even offered to comp our meal for the long wait. To their credit, the location was PACKED, and they seemed slightly understaffed when we came in. At no point did it seem like people were standing around doing nothing. Even the owner was running food and clearing tables, so I can only imagine that it would be easy to lose track of orders while trying to keep up with the rush. Truly I wasn't upset about any of it, but I just want to mention in hopes that they can use it to smooth out their service as they get up and running! Overall, for a small business that's only been up and running barely two weeks, they're off to a great start! Truthfully, I'm probably gonna wait a while to return while they smooth out their operation, but it's really nice to see a business in the area offering something new and unique! We live down the street and saw this place opening and thought "FINALLY A GOOD BREAKFAST SPOT NEAR BY"! We were warned that the food will take up to 30 min since they were a little busy (understandable they're new!). The food honestly came out REALLY quick, 10 min max. Honestly, both of the items do need a little revision though. The pancakes are very small and don't really have a strong matcha flavor. They tasted like egg/ heavy cream. The french toast though, the flavor is very good yet the actual bread part is very dry. Id recommend soaking them in a custard or cream while baking them! They become a lot more flavorful and moist. Drinks! We got our food, ate it and waited alittle for the drinks. We gave them awhile because they're busy and new! Around the 30 min mark I walked up to the front and just checked where we were on the orders because we had to leave for a appointment in 30 min and the worker said "oh we have your ticket" so I thought we were next! Wow! Kitch Cafe is exactly what I didn't realize we needed! We went for brunch and the atmosphere was lively, and the food was incredible. Y'all may think that avocado toast is a basic meal but let me tell you something, the way they did it, it was so different and fresh and tasty. Their secret ingredient is Nori and that was a game changer. And the Matcha soufflé pancakes... Get out of here right now with those. I have had dreams about them since and can't wait to go back for more. But what really stood out for me was the incredibly kind and attentive service. Everyone seemed to genuinely glad to be working there, and it felt so refreshing. They also have a large outdoor patio and can't wait to go try their pizza. read more

came here for my sister's bday. service was just okay, felt like they forgot about us. we weren't brought waters until we asked. but tbh idc if service is bad as long as the food is good. but our food came out cold, the ube was liquid, everything was unseasoned. not to be dramatic but we really had to force ourselves to finish so we didn't waste food. i felt so bad bringing my sister here for her bday :( i don't like posting negative reviews, esp for small biz, but i really feel like this place got aesthetics right for marketing. def gets people in the door. but clearly food is inconsistent. i feel duped. hope you guys find a way to elevate the palette so the food matches the presentation! read more

The ambiance was nice and modern. The menu had promise with fusion and upscale options The place was about 70% to capacity so not full by any means. First the food took extremely long to come out. Ordered at 12:52 and the first thing that came out 30mins later was the soufflé which was underwhelming and tasted too eggy almost undercooked. We had to asked 3 times for our order as we saw plenty of people who came in after us get their food. Wait staff wandered the place aimlessly looking for numbers to drop food but eventually got fed up and yelled peoples names out. We had our food walk past us five times before we stopped the person to ask and even two wait staff were confused. One said the loco moco was for order 45 but the second said he already dropped off for 45. What a s*it show of mis management of the tickets and tables. The two ladies next to us ordered after, got their food, ate, and was waiting on their third dish to a point they even got fed up and cancelled their brick toast. All in all the food was mediocre at best, lacked flavor, the wait was way too long, wait staff was confused and thus the food that did come was COLD. Like for reals, you have a ticketing and time management system. Use it ! read more

Service was nice! They were well communicative of how long certain items would take to come out. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt the need to write about this one. We got the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict, Prosciutto Hot Honey, Soufflé Pancake, an Iced Matcha as well as a Strawberry Iced Matcha. Respectfully, the food here is way too expensive for how mediocre/bland it is. Like if you're paying for $80 worth of food, you'd probably expect for it to be full of flavor and to at the very least come out hot. The Eggs Benedict was served with soggy hash browns and was cold. The Prosciutto was honestly the best thing we had, but even for the price it wasn't worth. I could honestly barely even taste the hot honey. The matcha was okay at best, definitely tasted more like milk than anything. The worst thing we had was definitely the Soufflé Pancake. It was way too eggy and the texture was just off. I wouldn't waste my time getting this ever again, knowing theres better Soufflé Pancakes out there. On top of all of this, the plating was terrible and I wasn't even sure if the food was going to be appetizing at all. There are only four basic factors that determine how good your food will taste: salt, fat, acid, and heat. This place hit literally none of it. read more

Kitch cafe is such a gem open in Fullerton, Amerige Town Center! Their interior is so bright and airy with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Their staff are all so friendly and kind. We tried a handful of their dishes and everything was perfectly seasoned -- nothing was too salty or too sweet :) I tried their banana biscoff French toast which was not too sweet (aka perfect!!), The smoked brisket breakfast burrito, loco moco, smoked trout open faced toast, matcha soufflé pancakes, sausage hash, prosciutto toast and everything was so delicious I definitely recommend Kitch Cafe for great vibes and delicious brunch! I can't want to come back to try their dinner menu as well :) read more
