Great place for brunch! Everything on the menu sounded great, but settled for a traditional eggs breakfast. The yelpers were pretty accurate about the fluffy eggs - so yummy! I'd also recommend the millionaire bacon, thick grilled bacon drizzled with maple and a bit of spice. My boyfriend loved the eggs benny, he said the Canadian bacon was flavorful and paired well with the hollandaise. We'll definitely be back! read more

I really want to like this place more than I do. The food is very good, love Jimmy a hold over from old Sunnyside. However, I've had bad service so many times it makes it hard. Food comes out erratically. Today for example, we went in for a quick breakfast before leaving for LA. Sat and watched folks who came in after us get their food. We arrived and were forced to wait ten minutes when there were multiple tables open in the restaurant. Once seated (party of 6), our waiter Victor greeted us. He came back once to take our drink order and once to take our food order - and that was it. We never got a water refill, we never got a coffee refill, and we were never asked how the food was when there were two mistakes on our orders. We finally had to ask a separate employee for more water and eventually our checks. Victor refused to split the check/accommodate us paying separately. It was truly an awful restaurant experience. They all offered a good accommodation. One of my Faves was Millionair Bacon..Something that you must try!!!!! It is simply amazing. I got a chance to try hot cakes with a real maple syrup. I hadn't been here in a while. It seems to have gone downhill a bit since my last visit. I ordered ham and eggs over easy - pretty basic. The eggs were fine, however the ham was so salty it was almost inedible. The hash browns were oddly delayed and came later, were undercooked, and tasted more like mush browns. I couldn't get the attention of the waitress even though there were only three tables with patrons. Toast used to be our favorite weekend breakfast spot, but the quality (and the crowds) declined in its last few years. With Kitchen Sunnyside in this location the love is back (and yes, so are the crowds). The decor has been freshened up nicely, there is a large and varied menu, and the service is friendly and generally attentive. We sat at the counter and watched the cooking, and it was really interesting to see how the omelets get made. That guy is amazing to watch! And the food was awesome. Light and fluffy, piping hot. I'm a little disappointed in the service but maybe it's because we were at the counter and we were so convenient that we were easily missed. I don't know, I'm going with that. I ordered a Blackstone Benny with "Millionaire's Bacon", which was basically a dish of two-eggs benedicts. Wife ordered a South of the Border egg scrambles. They were both extremely good. Actually, we both were blown away! Another surprise was the self-serving strawberry jam on our table. The jam tasted fresh, not sugary at all, similar to regular home-made jam but also so much better. Also, Millionaire's Bacon is an item you should not miss if you happen to be here. The bread were nice and fresh too. My only complaint is the price. Not a big deal, but when ordering, be wary of the "plus" signs all over the menu. They can add up quickly. Service okay. This was a fantastic little restaurant in downtown Mill Valley. We got right in even though they were busy. I had the best turkey burger I have ever had in my life. They made it just like I asked and it was perfect. The waiter was very accommodating and we sat at the counter so we could watch them make our food. I was so pleasantly surprised. It was soooooo good. I normally get egg white omelettes with less oil so already it's gonna be a little harder to make them delicious. But they did it. Super Fluffy tasty omelette with the ingredients perfectly diced and mixed throughout. It was cooked perfectly and awesome. I rarely get excited about omelettes and I did with this one. I got the potato medley on the side with all diff types perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband got the Francis Benedict which was super delicious and made him happy. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Despite for the long wait for the food to come out even though there were only 4-5 tables with customers; it's not stopping me from raving about their food! Before their food arrived, I was determined to never come back due to the wait. Once I had a bite of the scrambled eggs, I changed my mind, I want to come back for more and try the other food from their menu. I loved how fluffy their eggs were and their potato medley consisted of brown potato, red potato, sweet potato and yam ~ very creative! Their chicken mango and chicken curry sausages are housemade too. Delicious!
