I hired them for upholstery cleaning. The tech showed up and instead of vacuuming the couch, which had loose dirt and dog hair on it, he just sprayed a bunch of liquid on the dirt and dog hair. He then proceeded to ground the dirt into the couch. It looked way worse when he was finished than when he started. When I called to complain, they scheduled a Sr tech to come redo the couch. I left work early to meet him. After waiting 3 hours they called and cancelled. This happened on two separate occasions. They finally said they would refund me. That was on April 10th. I have never received a refund. When I call to follow up, I have been told over and over that Rebecca, the sales rep, is the only person who can help me. However in two months, she has never been available, and has never returned my call. If I could give minus stars I would. read more

I have used Kiwi warranty services for several years. I have a fairly old carpet and the warranty service is a great value through out the year. I recently used my warranty for cleaning heavy traffic areas after the holidays. When the technician arrived he did review extra options regarding the spots which would be hard to remove with a general clean. I stuck with my general cleaning and was please as the dirt from heavy traffic area was gone. Once the cleaning was completed I found the carpet mildly damp and was dry in two hours or less. I will continue to use their warranty plan as the value provides what I need. read more

I accepted an estimate from Kiwi for vent cleaning. First I did not receive a 30 minute notice. The guy showed up and I asked him if he had covers to put on his feet. He replied that no one told him I had white carpet. He brought a 4 or 5 foot ladder. I told him he would not be able reach the vents in our twelve foot ceiling. He said no one told him we had ceilings that high. I then told him that no one asked any questions about any specific about our house. I feel that he was being contracted to do this job as he showed up in his personal car and was totally unprepared for anything he might have encountered. I booked my appointment more than a week in advance. I purposefully booked the 12:00pm-2:00pm timeslot because I'm an Airbnb host, and I only have the hours between check-out and check-in time (between 11:00am and 3:00pm) to work with. I figured that even if the technician was running a little late, that gave me an hour of "wiggle room". I got to my rental by 11am so that I could vacuum and move furniture out of the way (something Kiwi requires), and then I just waited. Finally 2:00pm arrived. Not only had nobody showed up within the agreed upon window, nobody had even called. I called Kiwi customer support and was shocked at how unapologetic they were about it. They told me that the technician was currently in Garland doing an air duct cleaning. I'm in Irving, which is a good 30-minute drive from Garland without traffic. When I asked if they could send another technician, they told me they didn't have any other technicians. The representative unapologetically told me that he couldn't get to me until at least 4:00pm, IF THAT!!! She offered no apologies and literally told me that was just the "reality" that I had to accept. Keep in mind that was only the "reality" because Kiwi Services made the decision to double-book the technician during my appointed timeslot with an appointment more than 30 minutes away. As best I can tell, Kiwi Services gave priority to other appointment because air duct-cleaning brings in more money than honoring a carpet cleaning warranty appointment. That's right! Kiwi Services offers a 1-year carpet cleaning warranty, which they like to heavily advertise because that offer a low price for follow-up cleanings up to a year, and for that reason, they sell a lot of them. The problem is that they are so short-staffed that they can't honor those warranty appointments without a long wait for availability, and even when you are fortunate enough to get an appointment, they will give priority to other more profitable appointments and keep you waiting. Kiwi's 1-year warranty sounds attractive upfront, but what good is it if they prioritize other appointments over yours and are never available when they say they will be? A young kid finally showed up at 4:15pm. Unfortunately, I lost an Airbnb guest that booked and then cancelled because the room wasn't ready. I also had to reschedule my 5:00pm Chiropractor appointment. They kid barely said a word and took more than 2 hours to finish the carpet in 2 rooms, the hall and a set of stairs. Admittedly, he did a good job, but it was a very long and frustrating day of waiting. Don't be fooled by any of the "5-star" reviews that you see out here for Kiwi Services. Those are paid for. Kiwi Services offers their return customers a 15% discount if they will post a positive review PRIOR to their appointment. I should know. It's been offered to me twice. Back then, I was honored to do it. I was a return customer for a reason, but I have since removed those reviews. That was then, and this is now, and Kiwi Services is no longer the same company they used to be. Very disappointing! read more

Scheduled an appointment a long time ago about carpet cleaning. Confirmed my appointment time for 8-10am today. At 10am they call and tell me the technician is running late, going to be 10-11. A little before 11 I call them, now going to be between 11-12. I live in a high rise and confirmed they did apartment work before this appointment. They finally show but leave a message they can't park or where to park....we have a large circular drive with full service concierge. They never check in with concierge to see where to park. Kiwi picked up my oriental 8X10 rug 2 months ago; told me it would take one month for the cleaning and could possibly restore the color. After a month passed I began calling about my rug ; why is it taking longer? I was told on several calls they were busy. After almost 2 months I called and asked if they lost my rug, and I would be relocating to another state in the next couple of months snd I needed my rug but to please clean it properly . Almost 2 weeks after that phone call I finally received my rug! I had the delivery guy unroll it and I smelled it, it was still dirty with specks of dirt and even bits of glitter from my previous Christmas wrapping! The rug had never been cleaned and obviously set in their warehouse for the 2 month period! Kiwi Services has done an exceptional job every time they come to my house. From the carpets to the sofas and rugs they treat them with care and uses high quality products. They also repare carpets. My German Shepard when he was a puppy made a hole in the middle of the media room. Lucky me, we had a piece of the carpet in the attic and they replace the half dollar size hole and matches the pattern correctly. You can't even tell there is a patch. They did this in less than 30 mins. Their folks always have a smile and very curious. Recommend them anytime. ok I booked an appointment.The technician arrived 8 am . I'm expecting a guy in a company van in uniform .We get a 21 year old in a beat up old Chevy truck.He comes to the door in jeans and a T-shirt no mask to protect us against corona virus.He comes in and starts talking about how he wishes he could have slept in a bit longer.So I let him do his thing and 20 minutes he says he is done.I look down and there are still visible pathway marks in the carpet.I said don't you treat the light stains .and he relied it's cleaned . This is an updated review.... Originally I gave Kiwi a bad score due to a fee they charged me; however they are a rare company to find these days in the fact that they went above and beyond to correct any complaint I had. On top of their customer service being extraordinary (which is was from my original service request as well) I was impressed that they took the time to reach out to me to make me happy. There are a lot of companies that would not do this. So this effort really went a long way with me. They offered to clean some of the carpeted rooms and my ottoman in my house and I accepted. I was very pleased with their service. My carpets were in need of this cleaning and they did an excellent job! They made my upholstery ottoman look brand new as well! A special thanks to Elizabeth for being so sweet and helpful over the phone with me. And thank you to friendly Art who came out with a smile to do the service! They quoted one price over the phone and then when they finished cleaning my carpet, tried to charge me a higher price than what they had quoted. I called and was quoted one price and I agreed to have the work done. Once they cleaned the carpets, they tried to add an extra $20 to the price quoted. I sent them a check for the original amount quoted and refused to pay the $20 extra they tried to charge me. They cashed the check and ever since then they have been calling about every month, saying I owe them the full $238! I kept calling back and they gave me the runaround and keep transferring my call to one person then another.....I think is a game they play. Then they said that I had to show them proof that I had paid them as they claimed they have no record of it. I had to get a front and back copy of the cancelled check and send to them before they finally admitted that I had in fact paid them, they just had no record of it! I have literally wasted hours of my time & plenty of frustration in dealing with this unprofessional company. Then I was given a time frame of 7-10 business days to clean and return. When I called after 2 weeks they told me it would take a month minimum. Chose Kiwi for air duct cleaning & I guess you get what you pay for. They quoted a very reasonable price so I went ahead & scheduled. They sent one person to do the air vent & duct cleaning for a 2800 sf house. And the technician they sent didn't seem to know what he was doing. In addition, the technician was really really, shall we say, vertically challenged. Because of that I was concerned he wouldn't be able to reach everywhere he needed to. As I recall, he also showed up with no ladders or anything. Within 2 months it seemed like the ducts had NEVER been cleaned, spewing out tons of dust. I have fur babies, and white carpet on my stairs and all upstairs. Good combination? Probably not, but I manage pretty well with the assistance of Kiwi Carpet Cleaning. You pay a fee for the year, or as I did for 2 years, and then they will come back for $4 per room as often as you like while under warranty. No questions and no limits. The only difference between the initial visit and return warranty visits is that you need to pre-vac and pick up what can be moved YOURSELF prior to the return visits. For that price, call me Joe the Mover. I've got Kiwi on speed dial. I also have an heirloom Oriental Rug that got into a duel with my incontinent cat. Kiwi whisked my rug away and it was smelling like new upon return. There were some issues with the fringe that they repaired as well. It was a fortune due to the size and extent of the repair, but VERY worth it. I was impressed with their work. The cleaner used on the carpets is citrus based, so it is non-toxic for you animals. It smells terrific and you can walk on your carpet shortly after they are finished. I become attached to my carpet cleaner techs since they are at the house so frequently. Kiwi does allow you to make requests if you find a tech you really like. read more

I had a leak in my living room from the sprinklers and tried to clean it up myself, but realized it was too big of a job. A friend of mine had just had her carpet cleaned by Kiwi and spoke very highly of them, so I decided to give them a try. They were at my house within just a couple hours of my initial call. The technician was very knowledgeable and assessed the situation to determine if there was any permanent damage. Because I had removed much of the water and was willing to do some of the work myself, he worked with me to come up with a solution that fit within my budget. He allowed me to use my own fans, dry the carpet pad out in the sun, and gave me instructions to spray it down with Lysol before putting it back. He cleaned the carpets and then I relayed the carpet pad once it had dried. The technician also was flexible to work around the AC serviceman I had come out at the same time. My experience with Kiwi was one of the best I've had with home service technicians and I'd recommend them hands down to anyone needing their service. read more

We have used Kiwi for the last 2 years. They charge an initial cleaning fee and then will come back at a much reduced rate anytime during the year for warranty cleaning. I have probably had them clean 5 times. One thing to note is they only clean around the furniture. I use them for a quick cleaning or to remove pet stains. Very disappointed with our Kiwi services. I hired them to clean our microfiber furniture and chose them because of their pricing. They were here this morning and while overall, the furniture does look better, there were several water stains and pen stains that weren't removed. This wouldn't be an issue because I understand that some stains aren't removable. But I was able to remove the stains with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber towel. Also, my floors were left a mess. I didn't think it was an issue when the technician left because I thought it could be swept up. I had to scrub my floors to get it up. It initially looked like paper but it turns out it was dried soap spots. There were also several areas on the floor where an oily residue was left. I'm just glad that we have wood floors and not carpet. I took pictures. The last issue is that 5 hours later, the smell from the cleaner is still permeating the house. My throat is irritated from the smell and I've been trying to air it out since he left. I'm so disappointed because I'd seen several positive reviews on the internet. I mentioned on my neighborhood message board that I'd report back after our service. I'll be warning them to go with another company even if it's more expensive. You get what you pay for. read more

One of my dogs has bladder issues and was never housetrained in her 8 years of existence prior to us adopting her so needless to say we have quite a few accidents in the house. I called Kiwi to get a carpet cleaning in the two rooms that are the worst and pet stain cleaning. The tech that came to our house was really nice and knowledgeable and also was a dog lover. I hate it when repairmen or technicians don't like our dogs :P He was completely honest about what each treatment option would or wouldn't do and straight up told me that certain stains will *never* come out instead of promising something impossible. He also gave me tips and tricks on getting out stains between visits. Some of the odor and stains remained, but they told us that would be the case and we're already prepared to have the replace the carpet when we move out. At 10:30 the doorbell rang, and a representative showed up - not with cleaning equipment, but with a not pad... a salesman. As he looked around, he informed me that the carpets needed "extra deep cleaning" in places (note that the service is supposed to include "spot cleaning" where necessary) and the price... would more than double. I didn't take the bait; I told him I would call someone else. I had relied on previous good reviews that seemed to set this company apart from the other but alas, it seems to be a problem in the industry. Kiwi Cleaning Services is nothing but a RIPOFF! DO NOT USE THEM! This is why: I wish I could give them a No Star review. They are that utterly horrible. All of these good reviews are biased and I am 100% certain that they are paid for too. They came out to my house to clean my air ducts once, the guy said he was quitting in a couple weeks... needless to say that he did a crap job, he didn't do anything the whole time he was here, he just talked to me the entire time instead of doing his job. And when I left him alone for just a handfulof minutes, he comes out with a balled up piece of paper, saying it was lodged in the airway, as proof that he did something. But when I inspected his job, it was a totally different story. I gave them a second chance, I had them send another guy to clean the air ducts again. Immediately after he left, I took the vents off and wiped them with a paper towel and the paper towel went from clean white to dirt black in ONE WIPE after TWO VISITS! Again, the guy wanted to talk to me instead of do his job. I mentioned our crawl space and the guy passed the opportunity to go up there and get the job done, so I cleaned the entire air duct system myself by hand. I used my own home cleaning products and I have had clean air coming through ever since. So I go to get a refund after this dismay of a lack of doing the job that is described on the site, and that is also promised by sales representatives, but they tell me that it's going to take over a month to mail me a refund check. I paid with a debit/credit card, why does a refund come in the form of a check and take weeks for processing and delivery? My question for them today was, "When I paid you, did it take 6 months for the payment to go through?" So I finally get a refund check and it's only half the full amount I demanded. After about 4 months of this, I was no longer asking politely. I get on the chat with them with a Mexican rep named Shirley, who then e-hangs up on me via live chat when I disagree and tell them to give me the money instead of playing around with me again and again and again and again like they have been doing to me for half a year now. Phone call after phone call after phone call has still not resolved this issue. I do NOT recommend them unless you want to deal with being highway robbed and then promised a refund and then nothing happens after you hang up the phone with them. They sit back and laugh about how stupid you are and how they are never going to pay you. Did I mention that I am still waiting for the remainder of my refund? It's been a really long time. They hope you forget about the refund, so they can keep the money and not have to pay you back. This is horrible business and I am very tempted to send the BBB through their establishment. Might as well... This has been a nightmare dealing with these crooks. They gladly took my money but hastily want to give it back. Their manager is never available to talk on the phone when I call, when I demand to talk to her, she's still not available, and then when she calls you back, she pretends she can't hear you and hangs up the phone before you get to even talk to her, apparently she's the only person authorized to give refunds, she's based in Dallas Texas, I live in Phoenix, and they have like 8 locations across the United States. How is it that this place has several US locations but I can only deal with one person when asking for a refund, but then never get to talk to that person? When you mention the word refund, they get allergic reactions and butter you up the best they can so you feel good about being screwed, and you hopefully forget so they can keep your money. This is Bull! As if that wasn't enough to piss me off, the audacity of their crew to promise me that they are keeping their word and that I will get a resolution to this, the resolution never comes, the conversation with Summer never happens and all you get is an ear full of being talked over, empty promises, and lies about the progress of your refund, lies about the job they performed, hung up on, requests refused, requests ignored, sunshine blown up your backside the whole time to take the attention away from how they're ripping you off. I have been using Kiwi since 2005 and with 3 dogs this service is a lifesaver! Their warranty service allows for unlimited visits per year for only a trip fee and a minimum charge per room per visit. It is perfect for when we are expecting guests (or when guests have just left in some cases). My husband suffers from allergies and always notices improvement after a cleaning. We've also used Kiwi for air duct cleaning as well as to keep our wool rug looking like new. I would most certainly recommend this type of warranty service for folks with pets or kids! read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I cannot express how disappointed and pissed off I am with services received by KIWI! I sent my rugs in to be cleaned before moving into my home to save money on buying new rugs. Well, silly me *smh* everything seemed to be smooth over the phone. CS Reps were respectful and professional and initial rug pickup went off without a hitch. Now about the 4 week mark (after being quoted 3 week turnaround) I called to check status. Again CS was very professional, apologetic and respectful. I was advised that there are high volume delays (yada-yada) and someone would follow up next week. I expressed how I needed to know when the rugs would be back and was advised that 4 weeks was the new standard but perhaps 6 weeks. The following week I got a follow up as promised to advise that rugs were still out but almost done and coming soon. I waited another week before calling back and was advised that rugs were ready and would be delivered the next week. I asked why no one called to let me know rugs were ready and again more polite apologies. As you can imagine my patience was paper thin by now and I just wanted my rugs back. Well delivery happed as scheduled (via many delays) and the rugs were NOT CLEAN! They smelled heavily of urine and fragrance. I was floored and doubly annoyed after paying $400 for the cleaning. They didn't even smell like that BEFORE THEY GOT THEM. I called and shared that the rugs weren't clean and again more apologies. They advised that they'd come to pick up and re-clean them. Get this...WITHIN A WEEK! I was skeptical but they did come to pick them up and they did return them within a week and guess what? The rugs still weren't clean. By then I was tired when asked if it were satisfactory I simply replied "I guess that's as good as it'll get" rugs still stank of urine and fragrance and were both dingy and faded until I cleaned them myself. He listened to me ramble on and on about this and that with a huge smile. Upon delivery, foolishly, I asked him to place a second rug in the back of my truck bed since I was going to transport it much later in the day, and he advised me to do otherwise, since it could possibly get stolen. THAT'S how much he cared. I don't have many photographs of the damage, but the first two are from before and the last is after the repairs. There were several spots where the pile had been chewed from the backing and you can't even tell!! The rug looks brand new! Additionally, Elizabeth, who works in the sales office went above and beyond, accommodating my schedule as well as my budget. Once I explained the predicament I was in, she offered to "spruce up" the rug at no charge. It looks like it was professionally cleaned, something I did not order.
