Cute, little cafe in East Boca. There is a parking lot right out front of the restaurant, which had plenty of available parking on Sunday morning. The coffee drinks are delicious, particularly the Cookie Butter Latte. The drink was strong and not too sweet. The Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast was good and very filling. Next time I will be ordering the Signature Soufflé Pancakes -- they looked fluffy and incredible, but take awhile to make. I will definitely be back. read more

Kixi opened in the summer of 2021 in the Royal Palm Plaza outside of Mizner Blvd in Boca Raton. I have been searching for croffles, a Korean street food invention where a croissant is turned into a waffle. My friend found this place for me which has them on them on the menu and we made plans to have lunch here after a visit to the Boca Raton Museum of Art. First off parking here is a cluster f@#ck. I drove around and around and ended up leaving the lot and parking two blocks away at a pay spot. We had to wait for a table but the place looked cute and the food was what I was craving so we stayed. There is a lot of cute touches like the ornate ceiling, rose wall, and charming china but when I looked really closely it was masking a kind of seediness. What I mean by that was there was dirty paper towels on the floor and some kind of green leaves that didn't make it into the open trash in my line of sight and the couch I sat on was dirty. Now I wish I had taken pictures but I didn't want to embarrass them. Worst of all, the couch had a huge wet spot. I was so hungry that I just tried to scoot over and ignore the liquid seeping into my rear. Maybe living room furniture that can't be cleaned might not be the best choice for a restaurant. We were given some wet shriveled paper menus to order from. They should have been thrown in the trash. I can't understand reusing dirty paper menus. They have a lot of cute sounding drinks on the menu using pea flower which turns them a pretty shade of blue. I love pea flower drinks but we spotted a strawberry lychee froze cocktail on the board and we both ordered that. For our meal we also both ordered the chicken and croffles. For some reason we were never served our froze. Eventually our meals came and still we were never given our cocktails. The chicken and croffles were $20 and included one small chicken breast and one croffle. Kind of overpriced IMHO but I was really looking forward to it. I took one bite of the croffle and it was delicious. My next bite was of the chicken and I could barely swallow it. It was complete rubber. I could have used it to drive home on. Our server admitted that the chicken may have been overcooked which was a complete understatement. My friend wanted a fresh chicken breast and I changed my order to the croffles and strawberries with nutella. Out server dumped our plates into the aforementioned garbage in front of us. A few minutes later a woman emerged from the kitchen announcing no more croffles! That was it. My quest to get a croffle was crushed. I said to our server you never even brought us our drinks to which he replied I know with a smile. I asked for a manger and our server disappeared to hide in the back never to be seen again so we left. At that point I was more than done with this place. If you do come here know it is pricey, very small, and they do not accept reservations. On the weekend expect to wait half an hour for a table. I won't be back though. If anyone local knows where I can get good croffles please message me. read more

It's a small restaurant yet they can accommodate bigger tables (6-8 ppl). Let's talk about the food-- the south meets Japan, it was a complete tour. The fried chicken and shrimp Cajun flavors were authentic to a southern recipe. Delicious. The soufflé pancakes were true to the Japanese fluffy pancakes cookbook. They are very dense and sweet, so if you're used to thin pancakes, these version can be a lot to swallow, literally. Main entrees range from $16-22 and they serve good portions. Matcha rose latte was my least favorite thing, too water-y for my taste but otherwise, this is a place I'd love to come with my girlfriends for cocktails and brunchin'. read more

The menu says to give them 30-40 minutes to make -- it is absolutely worth it. Fluffy cake-like pancakes with maple syrup, fruit compote and fruits. I would recommend sharing this dish with at least one or two other people. - Prosciutto and burrata avocado toast - Absolutely delicious, fresh avocado (not mixed as guac), yummy ripped up prosciutto, and juicy fresh burrata. The plating was beautiful with the balsamic glaze around the rim. - Eggslut Sandy with fried chicken added - WOW. This was insane. A lot of food so two people can share it, especially if you get another sweet dish. The bread was perfectly toasted yet soft enough to eat as a sandwich. Generous serving of egg as a layer in the sandwich and it was not dry at all. The chicken was SO good. If I had to critique it, I would recommend to tenderize and thin the chicken a bit more. Regardless, it was juicy and seasoned very well. Lately, the breakfast potatoes were AMAZING. Fried Chicken Benny 10/10- described as "a party in my mouth". Egg cooked to perfection with a flavorful hollandaise. Comes with a side of crisp, light, and airy breakfast potatoes. Churros French toast 8/10- presentation was absolutely on point. Crispy, moist French toast with whipped cream, assortment of fruit, and a carmelized banana. Do yourself a favor and have dessert for breakfast. Classic Brekky 6.5/10- comes with an egg cooked any style, your choice of protein and their top notch breakfast potatoes. There really isn't anything too spectacular about this, I would most likely skip and get something more specialized. What a great find! We stopped in for brunch on a last minute decision and we will definitely be returning. They have outdoor seating with mellow music and sit-down service. The Tiramisu Latte is a must try, and so is the cleverly named Eggslut Sando The name makes sense when you try that sandwich. And I have never had a more creamy and delicious latte than their tiramisu latte. It runs a bit on the sweet side, so if you're not a fan of your lattes being sweet, then I recommend asking for less chocolate. It does get busy on the weekends, so get there early or after lunch! I was disappointed when I got there and realized how small this place is on the inside. We got there Saturday at 11 AM and the few tables they had were already taken so we had to sit outside. The outside is not nearly as nice as the inside and it was definitely way too hot. Our server wasn't very enthusiastic but she did bring everything out pretty quickly. I started with the amethyst Mimosa and even though it was pretty and Instagrammable it was way too sweet and room temperature. Today, three friends and I went to have high tea at Kixi Cafe. They only had one kind of Iced Tea and two kinds of hot tea. When they brought out the tiers of food, we were very disappointed. There was burnt chicken and waffles, horrible sandwiches on stale white bread, Costcos hors d'oeuvres, And sick looking strawberries. My friend went to ladies room and said it was filthy. Overpriced and underwhelming. We came for brunch today being seated immediately only to be forgotten about for the better part of half an hour, menus but no waters. We ordered the classic Benny and the burrata avocado toast, along with the matcha cha-cha and matcha lemonade to drink. Both food items were lacking in flavor and barely toasted. The drinks were also lacking in flavor tasting like nothing except watered down milk and lemonade, no matcha to be found.
