Such a charming little breakfast spot to enjoy with your gal pals! Came here on a Saturday morning with my mom and sister & we were so delighted with everything. Mia greeted and sat us right away so there was no wait time. We decided to sit outside since the inside was full and it wasn't too hot. What brought us here was the soufflé pancakes (duh!) and they're totally worth the hype. The texture is delightful and the taste is sweet and buttery. I wasn't sure if you're supposed to eat them with syrup since they didn't provide any, but I wish I would have asked just to try. They were served with like some sweet whipped cream and berries and like a fruit jam so they didn't even need syrup. We also got the Eggslut Sando & Nutella Croffles. I had no idea what a "croffle" was but wow, soooo good. The star of the dish was the banana with the caramelized sugar - I could've just had an entire plate of these and would've been happy. I absolutely loved the eggslut sando; the eggs were cooked perfectly and the seasoned potatoes that came with them were absolutely delicious. The bacon (which I added for extra $) was kind of lost within how much egg there was, but I'm not complaining, I still enjoyed every single bite! We each tried a different drink: Dalgona, Matcha Dalgona and Cookie Butter Latte. Each drink was crafted beautifully and absolutely stunning with the added gold touch. The interior is absolutely stunning! They have a covered outdoor seating area as well due to the interior being a little small. As you enter they have the host stand and a little shopping section of shelves with jewelry and beautiful Knick Knacks for you to buy. I will say the shopping was a bit on the pricier side. The seating is cozy and beautiful and our service was pretty good as well. The coffee was out of this world! I would go back just for the coffee alone. The presentation of their coffee and food is stunning and you can just tell they take pride in their craft. The only thing I had that I di not enjoy was the prosciutto avocado toast. Because of the nature of prosciutto, it is very slippery and does not tear easily, making it a logistic challenge to even eat the item let alone gracefully. Their specialty is the Soufflé Pancakes they are jiggly, light, fluffy and delicious. They are a must order every time. Really cute place that is hidden behind where most of the restaurants are. The decor is really "instagram friendly" and their soufflé pancake is really impressive. There's tons of places to take pictures and I even saw an "influencer" make a video walking in and pictures of the place. I came really early morning and there wasn't a lot of people. So even though the pancake said 30-40 mins for prep it was closer to twenty minutes My friends got the avocado toasts which I was pretty envious of. The bread and avocado tasted fresh and went well together. They have great coffee mixed drinks too which I didn't take a picture of, but they claim to use ceremonial grade matcha. It tasted good enough for me and it paired well with the coffee. Coffee was well made and not watery. Service was quick and nice. I think they are used to people hanging out and chatting even though it's a "sit down" place it has coffee shop like vibes where people hang out and chat. The hostess had a very big attitude and kept trying to find reasons to not sit us. Then when we actually get sat we don't get menus for at least 10 minutes and then no one comes to take our drink order for an additional 10 minutes. It took 30 minutes for them to make a matcha.... It is very slow service and the workers are very rude. We were going to eat here but didn't want to wait 2 hours for our food since only drinks took 30 minutes. I really like this place. It's beautiful and has a lot of delicious menu options. The service is pretty good although last time I came the server seemed overwhelmed and was a bit dry because of this, which I guess is understandable if they were short staffed. I've tried - Fried chicken Benny - Crispy organic chicken breast, spicy aioli, poached egg, spinach and hollandaise. Comes with a side of home fries. Mmmmmm, very good. Generous portion. Everything on this dish was very fresh and delicious, chicken was juicy. Can't go wrong with this. 5/5 ($18) Shrimp and Grits - Cajun shrimp, cheesy grits, crumbled bacon, cheddar, spicy oil. This has potential. A bit skimpy on the shrimp for the price. Grits in general are hard to get right as they tend to always lean towards bland. These were decent but could be better and seemed overpriced. 3/5 ($22) Soufflé pancakes - These are not what I expected, but I do like them. I imagined them being fluffy and airy but these were just thick all around. They reminded me of regular cakes. Pricey, but they were pretty good. Worth a try although I am not sure I would order them again. 3.8/5 ($19) I've also had their rose cappuccino which was excellent. The cookie butter latte was good as well but very sweet, as you would expect. My mom tried their ham and cheese omelet and the classic avocado toast. She REALLY enjoyed the omelet but didn't like the avocado toast at all because she felt it was bland and the avocado was oxidized. Overall, this is probably one of the best breakfast spots I've tried in a while and they were so close to getting a perfect 5 from me. Their drinks are phenomenal as well as the omelets and the fried chicken and benny. The other dishes I tried were okay but didn't seem worth the hefty price tag. Regardless, they are definitely worth a visit, you just have to know what to order. I know for sure I will be coming back to explore more of their menu. read more

I wanted to really love Kixi cafe after finding on yelp and meetings girlfriend for Sunday brunch at this adorable cafe but the experience was just mediocre. The cafe itself is adorable, I didn't realize how small the inside of the cafe was- maybe had 4 tables inside max and had more outdoor seating. The decor inside is fun and eye catching. We went around 10am on Sunday and we had no problem getting a table (they only take reservations on weekdays). They have a large drink menu and a decent size breakfast menu. If you are a sweets person, they have plenty of sweet breakfast items for you (I am not a sweets for breakfast person). I started with the hot tiramisu latte which was good, but it was not all that hot when in came to table side. The presentation was cute with the Kixi logo on the foam. I ended up getting the chicken eggs Benedict which I enjoyed more than I had thought I was going to. The chicken was perfectly crisp and the poached eggs were runny just how I like them. It was served over a bread with breakfast potatoes. Portion was a good size and was definitely filling. Our server was sweet but not that great of a server in general and the service was overall slow during our whole time there. Great Brunch. I had the brunch here a year ago and decided to come back with my boyfriend. The Cafe is super cute, they sell jewelry and clothes which I didn't know. The outside area is great, doesn't get hot and 100% shaded. The Salmon Avocado toast is SO GOOD aswell as the steak and eggs. There are some seats inside (tables, chairs) and bar seating but also lots available outside (covered, don't worry I know it gets hot in FL). Seems like you can make reservations to be seated at the table against the flower wall because we were told that there was a reservation coming in an hour after we ordered and we would need to leave. Food/drinks: they have a variety of coffee drinks, alcoholic and even CBD-infused + food options. - Signature soufflé pancakes ($19): there is a special comment on there to allow 30-40 mins to prepare so place the order first if you plan on getting it. Comes as 3 fluffy pancakes with Biscoff cookie crumbs, mixed berries, micro mint, berry compote, and house cookie butter cream. Personally, I thought the pancakes were going to be fluffier and more airy (almost like the Japanese jiggly pancakes). It's definitely more bready than I thought. Tastes better with the syrup and cookie butter cream added to give it more moisture. They do smell pretty amazing though. - Dalgona ($6): whipped coffee foam with milk. I subbed for oat milk which was an extra $0.90. It came with some gold foil on top for decoration. The drink was good, can't go wrong with it. I was really excited to try this place for brunch, as it's been on my list for a while. My friend and I decided to come here on a Sunday afternoon. I was happy to see that they did offer mimosas, because we all know those pair perfectly with brunch! Whenever I see eggs, Benedict on a menu that is my go to. I was disappointed to say the least. When my dish came out, I could see that the hollandaise sauce was curdled and separated.... that's a big no-no in the hollandaise world! Along with the hollandaise being separated, the eggs were overcooked. The home fries were delicious, so that was a thumbs up, but that was pretty much it. We ordered the following dishes: -Burrata and prosciutto avocado toast: Because we didn't know when we would be back and we planned on having the soufflé pancakes, we ordered this as an appetizer. It was hearty with its avocado, prosciutto, and burrata. Extremely fresh and well seasoned. We inhaled this. -Truffle fries: We also inhaled this. Ordered this side to hold us over, and in the blink of an eye, these too were history. Probably some of the better fries I've had in awhile and I'm a fry lover. -Nutella croffles: Despite ordering this, I'm still not too sure what a croffle exactly is. They have this option or the chicken and croffles option. We chose this one based on Yelp photos, and also, because we had had two savory dishes already. Was a hit but huge. We had to stop eating these to make room for the soufflé pancakes. -Soufflé pancakes: Tasty, don't get me wrong, but surprisingly underwhelming after everything else. Extremely fluffy with options of chocolate chips and matcha cream, both of which can be placed on the side. Have to say all the food was spectacular. Every single person who has been raving about this café is onto something. Mind you, the drinks don't fall far behind. We had a beautifully-presented butterfly lemonade and a caffe mocha whose foam had KIXI written in it. The caffe mocha was so detailed that I actually felt a little bit bad drinking it. Go figure! In from out of town and looking for a place to brunch, I came across Kixi Cafe. What really caught my attention was their selection of teas and coffees. I'm a big tea drinker so this was a no brainer for me. When you first walk inside, you'll notice an abundance of color and decorations but in a good way. We were seated in the small outdoor patio and after reviewing the menu decided to go with an Iced Matcha Rosemary Latte and the Classic Brekky platter. After a short wait, my latte was brought out and it was visually attractive with a two-tone of color with a dash of, what I assume are, rose petals on top. After a quick stir, I took a sip, and it tasted as good as it looked. A nice blend of the matcha and rose milk without being overly sweat. My Brekky came out and looked very appetizing. The scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy but no runny. The bacon was nice and crispy as were the breakfast potatoes. The toast was sourdough (I believe) and was toasty and tasty after adding some butter. Overall, Kixi really satisfied, and I have bookmarked this location so next time I'm in town I'll be coming back. read more
