I hate doing this, but I'm going to have to because of the way I was treated and just how rude the people are at this nail salon. I went here about a month ago to get my nails done and after a week, my nails chipped so I went two weeks ( last Thursday ) later to get them redone. I really like that the places is close and convenient and I don't have to drive far and I got along first with the nail techs . I went there and told them that my nail chipped and that I didn't want the same person doing my nails. The same person ended up doing my nails. I thought he was just taking off the nail polish, but he ended up doing it and I told him to do a good job because I paid a lot of money for the dip and the chrome and I really want my nails done right anyways to make a long story short. They were really rude and treated me as if I did something wrong and I even told them, don't be mad just because, I want you to do a better job on my nails. I'm coming back so I'm obviously giving you the benefit of the doubt well anyways I'm upset because two of my nails chipped this time after four days and the only reason why I am so upset and writing this is because the way they made me feel as if I'm the bad guy because I told him to do a better job please and again I went there twice after my nail chipped the first time. I was hoping that the second time around it wouldn't happen again now I'm never going there again. They definitely lost a good client and I don't think they should treat people that way. I understand chip and nails happen but it shouldn't happen with dip and instead of getting upset they should try to do a better job. We're just not have that technician do he obviously doesn't do a good job. read more

We came to this place on a Sunday morning and the place was not crowded at all, worth 1 or 2 other customers getting their nails done already. But while we were there it got pretty busy. Facilities: 5 stars. It's clean, and the chairs are pretty cool. They look to be there new and they have all kinds of massage settings which is good. They also have a TV so you can keep yourself busy with that while you're getting your work done. So I liked that as well. Service: 5-stars. The staff were quick to attend to us and very friendly. They all speak good English and the atmosphere is very happy. They offer the services they think you'd need and they are not pushy to get you to buy more stuff. So that's another thing I really liked. Nails: 1 star. I should really take more points off for this because really when you go to a nail salon the most important part of the experience is for your nails to look ok. I came here with my girlfriend and given he fact that I'm a dude, my nails were clipped and filed great. My girlfriend had gel before and wanted to give her nails some rest so she opted for regular nail polish this time. And I have to say I could've done a much better job putting nail polish on her nails than the manicurist. Just take a look at the photos for more info. I really wanted to like this place as my technician Kim was really nice and accommodating but the manicure itself didn't turn out the best. She had to put three coats on due to the sheer color to ensure even coverage but you could tell towards a few of my cuticles that it didn't properly set. And, while I was the first one there on a Saturday morning to get a mani/pedi, there were a handful of people who came in with appointments and had to wait quite some time because the rest of the staff wasn't there. When they did come in late, they seemed nonchalant about it. Not sure who's running the show there and the scheduling of appointments and staff, but they are in desperate need of better operations. They also had to turn away walk-ins because they were short staffed in the beginning. read more

I made a very last-minute appointment, and the manicurist was more than happy to accommodate, even though they were closing for the day in an hour. The place looks really clean and was quiet when I was there (Wednesday night-- there was just one other customer getting her nails done), so it was definitely quite relaxing and comfortable. I was in for a gel french manicure. My manicurist was very sweet and made sure to check in with me to ensure that I was satisfied as she went through the manicure process. She took her time, and did a fine job on my nails. I was quite pleased-- especially since I was worried she would be rushed, as it was nearing the end of the day, but she seemed to work as diligently as she would have had I been the first customer of the day. I have never been so upset to leave a nail salon!! I have been growing out my nails using SNS for the last 6 months. The before picture is my natural nails. One cracked and broke, so I needed to do something about it as we were going camping the next morning. The girl I saw insisted I let her fix my broken nail (for free) because my natural nails were so beautiful and long. Ok, fine. She started taking off the duo powder and every was fine. Then she started telling me which color I should get, which wasn't a color I wanted. I wanted a shear pink with a little sparkle. She didn't bother to get the other color completely off my nails and you could see the splotchy pink through the glitter. I asked to switch before she did the other hand. Again, she tried telling me what color I should get. At this point I was already over it. She started slapping it on my nails and it started looking very chunky. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, until I saw how caked my cuticles were with product. As I expected, she tore up my cuticles trying to remove it. I only lasted through one hand before I had to tell the girl to stop and take all the product off! They were horrible, chunky, and a completely different shape. I left on the verge of tears with glitter powder still on my nails. She didn't even try to fix my nails to look semi decent. Then she had the audacity I still charge me $10, so I basically threw the cash at her and stormed owill never come back to this shop ever again!! Not only did I leave with butchered nails, but some girls were sleeping in pedicure chairs and other girls were dressed like they just got off their night shift on the corner... ** it has been one month since I left this dump. As of today my nails haven't been able to grow. She drilled my natural nails so painfully thin that whenever I get even the tiniest bit of growth, they snag and shred away from my nail bed. If I could sue this place, I would!! Absolutely abhorrent service. These people should NOT be working on other people. Patrons enter with caution!! read more

I felt extremely dissatisfied with the price I paid and the service. My manicurist did not pay careful attention and did a subpar job with my cuticles. She cut too much on one finger bc she was not even looking and didn't trim my cuticle evenly on my other fingers. You can see little bits of skin around my nail because the technician trimmed my skin and not just the cuticle. The file job was similar - uneven and after asking twice, I just did it myself. She wasn't happy with my request. She also didn't properly remove my gel bc instead of leaving it soaked in the foil for a little while, she wrapped it and attempted to remove right away so a thin layer of the gel was still on most of my nails. This salon does not live up to its name at all! For starters my pedicurist was rushing since they were short staffed and she ended up cutting my toe! All she could say was sorry but what am I supposed to do with that? My toe hurt so bad and was bleeding a lot. When it came down to paying all the workers were talking about how she cut me and they didn't even offer me a discount. I paid full price for the service but did not tip. Very unprofessional. I wanted to pay with ny card and the lady says oh if you have venmo use that instead. Okay? My venmo was not reading their scanner and after many failed times she finally decided to accept ny card. This all seems very sketchy. Are you purposely telling your customers to pay in venmo so that you can avoid legal taxes or fees? Like I said very unprofessional do not bother spending money here you'll get cut and have to wait for it to. read more

I have been to this salon almost 4 times. Worst experience ever!! The owner is so distracted by everything it took her 3 hours to do a pink and white fill which should take 1 hour!!! I gave them a second chance. I had an appointment made by the owner at 9:00 this morning 3 weeks ago. I showed up and there and there and there was no one there.. I went back at 9:30 still dark. I just moved to the area and decided to try out Klassy Nails as it's just down the street from my house. It's a cute place-clean and the ladies that work there are nice. I've been here twice now and while I'm there I enjoy the experience. My pedicures were on point and very well done. Those deserve 5 stars. However, my 3 star rating is based off of a regular mani. I have had two different nail techs give me a regular mani in the past 2 weeks. I hate to say it but both manis were subpar and looked nothing like the other yelp reviews posted on here. I've known Lien since I went to high school at El Toro about a decade ago now. I loved visiting her at Gold Star Nails during high school and then off and on when I moved to Irvine for undergrad and graduate school. When I moved back to Lake Forest, I was really bummed to discover she wasn't at Gold Star Nails! The service just wasn't the same there and not as personable without her. I was especially sad because my wedding was fast approaching and I wanted to make sure my nails were done with care, and by someone who cared about me! Luckily I wrote a review of Gold Star Nails and Lien saw it and was nice enough to write me a message. I set up an appointment with her and she ended up being flexible enough to take me a day early. Her salon is absolutely gorgeous and clean (I even took a snapchat of the water filling the bowl for my spa pedicure...the colors were so pretty!). I showed a picture to her colleague who worked on my toes of what I wanted and she worked really hard to make it look beautiful and make me happy. Lien then did the most beautiful job on my nails! I showed her a picture of the acrylics I wanted, with blush glitter to match my bridesmaids dresses and the bouquets. She was so thorough...I just couldn't have asked for a better experience! Lien is a sweetheart and takes the time to get to know her clients. She made me smile and surprised me at how much she remembered about our previous visits together (and even remembered details about my mom and sister). Lynn is the new owner of this nail spa with over 20 years of experience. She is sweet, professional, personable and best of all... She is amazing at what she does. I would consider myself a pedicure obsessed individual for over 10 years and will drive at the end of the world to get a good pedicure (because we all know how we feel about bad pedicures). She does the best French Tip pedicure that will last over 3 weeks, perfect shape and best massage. The environment is very modern, pleasant and with all new equipment. She even offers drinks (soda and water) as an added bonus. I couldn't have recommended any other person for my pedicure, I will follow her wherever she goes! P.S. She also does facials and waxing... She is super rough and will make your cuticles bleed. I told her to be careful cutting my big toe bc I have weird skin under my toe nail, she still ended up cutting it. When I pulled my foot back as a reaction, she sighed annoyingly & grabbed my foot. No apology even after I told her to be less rough. I received a gift certificate from a friend and tried this place out for the first time today. First of all, the prices are AWESOME! $20 for a Gel Manicure and $17 for a spa pedicure! Holy crap that is cheap for South County! Ashley did both my nails and toes and she was great! Very thorough, offered me water or soda, and was just the sweetest. I really like how they did not rush to get through my appointment to try and get to the next person. She had to dig out some in-grown toe nails (I know...gross...) and kept asking if I was OK to make sure she wasn't hurting me. Normally they dig in there without a care, and you just have to grip on to the chair and grimmace. Overall the price was low and the quality was very high. I really wish I could've given at least 4-stars seeing how this place is down the street from my house. But my experience really was just mediocre at best. I probably would've only given them a 2 if it weren't for the nice owner who seems very personable and offered me something to drink. I walked in without an appointed and waited around for about 20 minutes before I got a chair for a regular pedi and gel mani. The lady who did my gel mani tried to small talk with me but I could tell she wasn't really interested in the conversation. She ended up cutting too much skin on one of my fingers, and she didn't say anything about it. It feels that she rushed through the whole process. She also made me pay before I was my pedi lady was finished with my toes. I hate being put on the spot about tipping when I'm not completely down with my service. The lady who worked on my toes did a pretty bad paint job. She also tried to upsell me four times. I really hate being pressured and having to say no over and over again. The only time she ever did talk to me was greeting me hello and asked me to get add-ons. No thank you. I don't think I'll totally rule out this place just yet because it is conveniently located down my street. But I will try out a couple other places in the surrounding area before I make another visit. I'm disappointed that I didn't have the 5-star experience like most did on here. read more
