    Cake and coffee

This place I randomly stumbled upon when I was taking a walk with my friend! We ended up getting a coffee and desert! I'm a huge fan of iced mochas, so I decided to try it and it was alright. Something tasted a little off! 6/10 For desert I decided to have a piece of chocolate cake which is my FAVORITE!!!! It was a tad bit dry, but I still ate the whole thing! 6.5/10 Overall setting is pretty, it's spacious they have a big menu. Staff was super nice!

This is a must stop in Northern Door County. The bakery selection and quality is outstanding. I had the "Wisco Dipped Beef". and it is definitely a must.

Our first time there and we'll definitely be back. Beautiful decor and even though we didn't order any, the bakery/desserts in their display case looked amazing! Even though it was barely 11am, they let us order a pizza. Oh man! A new favorite! Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Give it a try!

Klaud's is a favorite of mine, enough that we chose to have lunch here on my birthday! Their chicken salad is my absolute favorite, but they have tons of options. They have less tables in the winter than in the summer, but I'm guessing that has to do with staffing and flow of customers. The staff is friendly and it will continue to be one of our Door County staples!

We are her on a girls weekend and stoped for lunch. We had a grilled cheese, caprese grilled cheese, chicken salad, blt and soup. Everything was wonderful and the owner was a true delight! We loved the decor was well. A must if your in Ephraim.

Beautiful new building - had not been to the original Klaud's Kitchen. Figured to give it a try with a drop in casual breakfast. Just a brief line to order (counter service) but plenty of space to sit down on a Saturday morning. Bus your table and you have an a la carte breakfast option for under $10 (a little more with a drink). Water station is available and they are using reusable utensils along with plateware. Day old pastries were at the end of the case and the staffperson taking orders was kind enough to walk through what was bundled on the tray. Each was $2.50 and I got a raspberry croissant and a bear (almond) claw. Bear claw had more almond to it than the raspberry in the croissant. Rest of our party added potato pancakes and an avocado toast which were great .

Great coffee and desserts! We stopped in looking for a sweet treat, and boy did we find it! They have many options to choose from too!

The food was wonderful. My husband had shrimp tempura appetizer and the small fillet. He loves getting the Door County cherry martini. He looks forward to it every time I had the Vol au vent Seafood dish it was heavenly, but rich, had to take half home. That was nice though because I got to enjoy it the next evening for dinner. My salad had the fresh made cucumber dill dressing very good no dessert for me. Grasshopper for my husband he always looks forward to that too. Cannot wait to come back. Everyone is so nice. Split a shrimp cocktail to start, shrimp were modest in size but sauce was excellent. Side salads came and were surprisingly well done. Lettuce plus mushrooms, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber and croutons. Wifey went with the Wednesday special, perch. Generous portion served with mashed potatoes and green bean medley. Very good choice. I went with the seafood pasta dish. Had a fancy name but basically shrimp (over cooked), scallops (cooked perfectly), lobster tail (medium size but very tender), artichokes, and tomatoes over linguine in a very salty sauce. Proteins were very good, sauce was far too salty and ruined the meal. Service was excellent. Recommend with caution. Everything we saw served around us looked great. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong menu item. Will return to try other entrees.

Packed into this little restaurant is an artisan storefront, a gelato window, a bakery, and a sandwich place. Wanting to try a little bit of everything, we got their cheese charcuterie and an Italian grinder sandwich to share for 2. Stellar, all of it. There was a great variety of cheeses on the board, including a truffle cheese and some kind of herbed goat cheese (which were my favorites), plus a mini brie and a blue cheese (boy's favorites). The board came with a bag of fresh baked focaccia slices on the side to spread the cheese/jams on and it was soooo good. The sandwich had toasty, melted cheese on the roll plus a seasoned tomato/lettuce situation that tied together all the meats so well. Definitely a napkin-heavy meal. They have a water station inside to grab cups, and carry-out bags/containers by request. Theres seating outside only that wraps around the building. Half of it was shaded. We actually left to walk around and came back for the gelato. They were actively putting out new flavors as we watched, so if you are waiting for one in particular just ask! You can split any size between two flavors, so i did chocolate and strawberry sorbet, boy did chocolate and cherry. I loved his cherry, it was so fresh and tart. The chocolate was rich and fit super well with the fruit flavors. They let you taste beforehand too, and the cranberry was also a hit for me! I both wish this was open closer to me and grateful that it's far away. Id be spending a lot more money here if it was nearby. DEFINITELY give them a try!!!

All that to say, the sandwiches are yummy. Both David and I liked the Hot Honey sandwich most. It was incredibly flavorful with some nice heat to it. The goat cheese was delicious and added a nice creaminess to the sandwich. The Turkey Brie was fine but would skip next time. I wasn't a big fan of the flavor of the turkey and David didn't like the jam on it. The sandwiches were very filling and loaded perfectly with ingredients.

This place gets super busy on Memorial Day weekend but they do a great job ensuring that they are fully staffed and can churn out food and drinks quickly. We ordered the 8 ounce New York strip plus CHOP steak salad (but make it Caesar). We both got cups of soup (lobster and crab bisque or garlic potato) which were incredible. Paired with a delicious cherry sour and an old fashioned. Exactly what we wanted after a good day of exploring. Make sure to go between 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM to get their $34.95 three course dinner special (soup or salad, main, and dessert).

Service staff is always top notch. Last year we ate a later dinner inside and the ambiance was wonderful. Old school steakhouse feel with big leather seats and candle lights. It's was great. They serve a great Kentucky Old Fashioned. Nice way to kick off a great meal. The entrees and apps are all very tasty, especially the fresh salads, soups, scallops, and crabcakes. The wine list is on the pricey side, we opted for a carafe of house Italian red blend and it paired very nicely with the filets and my wallet. Don't skip the dessert. Carrot cake and key lime pie were both amazing. Only disappointing notes this year were the mashed potatoes. They had a box mashed potatoes aftertaste, not the usual Yukon gold I remember. Not sure what was going on there but it stood out. Also, we were on the upper deck again, but it felt like there was one too many tables out there. Tough to maneuver around, needed just a bit more breathing room. Otherwise, still a wonderful meal.
