Klein's Cobb Salad - doesn't look like much, but they pack a ton of greens into this box. The E gate Kleins is one of my preferred places to eat at SFO. The line moves faster than most places and I was able to pick up a hot sandwich with only 20 minutes for the connection. Hot sandwiches do take an extra couple of minutes, and if there is a line for the oven, that number can add up so make sure there are a line of sandwiches by the oven if you are in a hurry. Services is efficient although the workers do seemed to get a bit annoyed when someone holds up the line. The hot sandwiches typically get two slices of cheese so they are quite cheesy. While nothing exceptional, the sandwiches have no obvious weaknesses as the bread, meat, and topping are all strong. Prices are very high for sandwiches, but not high compared to other options in the terminal. I don't think they have dedicated seating, but e terminal has plenty of tables and seating right next to the exit. read more

I went inside Klein's by gate F14 between 10:30 to 10:40 AM. My flight is somewhere gate 17. I need to order something to bring on board. There's really no line that time. Probably 3 people in front of me. There's one shorter young lady with black long hair with a ponytail helping by the sandwich line. She's busy helping I think two of them, I just don't get it why is she alone making the order while there's 3 asian ladies by the coffee area serving one customer and busy talking the whole time.Wondering ,is it just their job to do? Are they not trained to make sandwiches for the people who wanted to have a made to order sandwich quickly .I was told by a friend they're so fast to make your order even though they have long line. Food was great. Service was prompt but I would had to ask the person to change gloves for cross contamination and she didn't seem happy. I thought it would be a common practice to prevent cross contamination but apparently not. I'm allergic and I don't eat pork so I don't want cross contamination. I am not sure if it's rude to ask or should it be assumed they know to change gloves when serving each customer? Not a complaint but a concern and Qs. I get it that changing gloves for every customer may delay the process since they r at an airport. They surely were moving fast. So I thought it may be appropriate to ask if I have a special request. Solid coffee for an airport. They have Equator coffee in the usual drip coffee and espresso drink varieties, executed pretty well with similar flavor profiles to the Equator stores.
