    Pretty slim

Wow total rip off here. Ordered 1/2 soup 1/2 ham sandwich. I paid $14.50 and got 1/2 slice of meat rolled up on each side that didn't even cover half the bread. First and last time. Buyer beware.

I went here when the Farmers Market was here. Very busy parking lot. We had already parked, so we didn't have to fight for parking. We did however, end up parking on the other street by the dead end, which was on the other side, so if you can't walk a bit, maybe skip this place on a Farmers Market morning. Kiddo had the broccoli cheddar soup and bread. She liked it a lot. She's normally always hungry but got full off the bowl with some bread. It was cheesy and rich. Pretty good and I don't even like broccoli cheddar soup. I had the beef dip. It's like $9.99 off the sandwich and side of au jus. You can add a drink and chips and pastry for a combo if you want. I had a tea, they have Coke products. I thought years ago they had more flavors of tea but maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. It was decent. It wasn't "amazing" but it was pretty good. It would be mid if it was more expensive. You could tell they cooked a lot of things close together as my sandwich had a bit of scrambled egg in the middle but whatever. I'm not allergic. Au just wasn't anything spectacular but also, it was a $10 sandwich. So I was good with it. The pastry I had there was a mint brownie. It wasn't too sweet. It was pretty good. It was more sweet than it was chocolatey and it wasn't overpowered by mint. So it was decent. It was like $3.50 They have items for sale inside aside from just baked goods and it's kinda cute. Ample seating. Restrooms were fairly clean. Would come back if I'm in the area.

Very much has a chain establishment feel. Cute atmosphere but the service lacked and the food was mid. I got the French toast. It wasn't bad but the bread is too dense for my liking. The chai latte was ok.

My family and I came here for a special event, they were doing samples of their pumpkin menu, plus some in-store discounts. You have to pay a small admission to get in, but it was totally worth it! Emma, the manager, went out of her way to make everything personable and super amazing. All of the treats were delicious, my favorite was the pumpkin loaf, and the pumpkin sourdough. I actually have never been to a kneaders before, so this was a great first experience for me. They also have a section of merchandise for sale. It is all super cute! I can't wait to attend more little events at this restaurant. And I will definitely come back to try more food.

Man this place has really gone down hill! What a bummer! 2 sandwiches and a half grilled cheese for $32, no sides or drinks. $32 for probably the worst food I've had in years. The included side salad was expired black and rotten greens, the chicken salad was really watery and the crack chicken was a soggy mess. We asked for no bacon on cracked chicken and of course it came with bacon. I use to love this place, hopefully you turn it around.

Very efficient and their little store had items I couldn't resist. See bread..My husband had the Tuna melt and was very happy as well.

First time here. The woman who greeted us was VERY friendly and knew answers to our questions. Turkey avocado sandwich with cheddar broccoli soup - awesome! My son and I got the French toast with fresh berries. Everything was so scrumptious and had warm and welcoming atmosphere

Saw a review about cleanliness - This is recent -- I can only imagine the filth we don't see.

Cleanliness - this was taken recently - disgusting as air is blowing down on tables, us and our food. The personality of the cashier could at least be friendly and welcoming which she was not! Not a place I would hurry back to --

Everyone here is always so friendly! They have the freshest bakery around and their prices are very reasonable. They always have the cutest decorations and unique gifts displayed nicely. Their bread is the best around and it's really easy to order for pickup. I'm there once a week getting a loaf of sourdough as well as hazelnut. Their pastry desserts are pretty irresistible and their pumpkin pie is very flavorful!

My first and last time ever ordering food here , the quality and taste were horrible and the lettuce was very brown and rotten and had visible eggs on the lettuce .

Great food, decent coffee and the people are nice. Service is a little slow so don't go if you want to get in & out quickly.

I recently had to be in the downtown Glendale area - the Yelp machine recommended I hit up Blue Corn Cafe. There's some development / construction in the downtown area so parking is a little limited. However - I was able to snag a spot right along 58th Ave and get a good view of all the cute shops to check out at a later date. Blue Corn was surprisingly busy that morning due to hosting a Coffee with Cops event. I got the low down from a few of the GPD staff that they are consistently rated as one of the best cafes in the city, maybe even the West Valley. They have recently-ish opened up a second location in DT Mesa, which definitely fits their vibe. I was told the owner gets up early every day to bake - I love the dedication to his craft. Like many mom and pops, there are times when quantities are limited. So ofc I had to buy some baked goods to go for my work team! Their muffins are HUGE - like 2 -3 servings per *singular* muffin. I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought 6... hello carb heaven for us. I noticed a lot of sweet and savory options - croissant sandwiches, cookies, you name it. Definitely the muffins were well-enjoyed by all (PSL, lemon-blueberry, red velvet), and the general consensus was lemon blueberry as the winner. It's a small space with not a lot of seating options however there appears to be a back patio that might be shared with other restaurants. I couldn't get a view on my way out. Cannot wait for the next time that I'm in the area to grab more sweets!

I had about a two-hour break during a track…read moremeet and noticed a small line forming outside this bakery in downtown Glendale--so I decided to go on a little adventure. This was my first stop, and I'm so glad it was. The café itself is absolutely charming--spacious, clean, and with plenty of seating. But what stood out immediately was the customer service. From the moment I walked in, everyone was smiling. You can tell this is a team that genuinely enjoys what they do. Despite the line, they were patient, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Their coffee selection is wide but not overwhelming. . I went with the matcha latte with pistachio, which was well-balanced. When it came to food, I couldn't decide between my usual go-to (broccoli and cheese quiche) or the bacon, spinach, and cheddar--or even the tomato basil, which sounded amazing. I asked the barista/ server to choose for me, and she recommended the bacon, spinach, and cheddar. It did not disappoint. The crust was thick and perfectly done, and the filling was layered and flavorful--just incredible. I also ordered an ube muffin and was given a complimentary lemon tart (no complaints here!). The ube muffin was exactly what you'd hope for--lightly sweet with a delicate blend of vanilla, nutty notes, and a hint of coconut. The lemon tart was perfectly balanced--bright, slightly tart, and complemented beautifully by the whipped topping. Before leaving, I grabbed a loaf of sourdough to go. They even offered to slice it for me--small detail, big win. And I have to say, coming from San Francisco, I do not say this lightly: this is hands-down some of the best sourdough I've had outside of San Francisco. Honestly worth the 45-minute drive just for that alone. I come from a background in the restaurant industry, and great service doesn't go unnoticed. Everyone here was attentive, kind, and truly invested in the experience they provide. The customer service alone is worth the visit. They so offer Panini's and daily soups.. Their menu changes daily. They also offer Louisiana hot sauce so someone knows what they're doing. I can't wait to bring my kids here next time. We will absolutely be back.

Waited maybe a couple min, because they had 4-5 workers helping customers. It kinda reminded me of Porto's in LA (iykyk, so efficient). The lady who helped me was very patient - she helped clarify what items had fillings, and what flavors they were. I made my selection (strawaberry concha, dulce du leche-filled churro, guava empanada, DDL-filled cono rellano aka flaky and caramel-filled pastry, DDL-filled churro, corbata danes aka puff pastry w optionally flavored twist, conos de crema aka cream horn). Ate the cream horn immediately in the parking lot - delish. Loved the churro, which was maybe a foot long! Enjoyed the guava empanada as well. Concha was nice and soft, all the flaky pastries were amazing. Total was just under $17 (7 items) with cream horn being around ~$4. Didn't get any tortillas, but I saw them being made, hot off the press! Will definitely be back, esp for the filled items. They also had sooo many cookies, as well as a white cake topped w fruit. *Extra (small) charge if using a credit card, so cash to avoid this charge.* There was also a pop-up coffee shop in the parking lot (saw they packed up at 1pm though), which would be the perfect pairing for any La Purisima goodies.

It happened to be a little under twenty minutes away from us so we decided let's do it & they were open late. Hell yeah. There's not a crazy amount of pastries but the selection was great. We got two tiramisus, one vanilla custard lobster tail, some mini cannolis, & the wedding cookies. Everything came out to about $50 so beware, prices aren't exactly cheap. But for one, if you're going to do "bad" then do it right & we also shared with our family of 5 so plenty to go around. & Holy cow, everything was incredible. So indulgent, decadent & rich in flavor. My nephews liked the cannolis, personally they're not my favorite, but if you're into it the mini's are a great option to quench the craving. The lobster tail with the vanilla custard took me by surprise. I didn't think I was going to care for it, but the cold custard was refreshing & the flakiness of the bread was crazy, my taster buds were confused by the textures, but in the best way. They complemented each other well. My ultimate favorite was the tiramisu & the wedding cookies. I honestly wish I had gotten more of the wedding cookies, those things took me back. I grew up eating the Mexican ones & the Italians did it right *applause* But damn, the tiramisu was to die for. I would order that again & again. Perfectly chilled, the dusting of the cocoa powder didn't taste like nesquik--incredible. At first the price had me thinking if we were doing too much, like damn, should we have just gone to Sprouts bakery? But after being able to indulge in a great quality dessert, it was worth every dollar. My only feedback, careful when you're paying at the register. If you're not paying attention, the tip automatically defaults to 18% on the tablet. Only thing I didn't care for. I could see if I was eating at the restaurant, but I just popped in to take pastries to go. So, that was kind of annoying. The service was fine, the girl that helped me was nice, but again I just pointed at desserts I wanted & went home. The location is part of the main restaurant, but it has its own entrance & little room making it feel separate to the Sicilian Butcher. They also carry gelato which I haven't tried yet. I believe they have little tables to sit at also. Highly recommend checking this out so save room for dessert!

In our day's Sunnyslope business, our niece took us to Kris Frybread. Arriving we saw Dawn's. She said Dawn's gets high ratings too. After our excellent Kris meal I made my way to Dawn's. Sweet D got a cherry and an apple turnover delivered into the box. It is five days later. My sugar intake has dropped a lot. In our home baking we cut sugar ingredients by half. Older Hopi bakers put in enough sugar for a hint of sweet in their cookies. Modern bakers glaze them. I'll take those traditional ones. When I say the shortbread cup with custard was too sweet for me, that's my 21st century palate speaking. The almond cup was a buy-again item for me, still sweet, very almond. The cherry turnover was flaky, the filling tart, oozing fillng and cherries. The gold medal, blue ribbon "I'd buy this again, for sure is the apple turnover.
