Dining at Kneaders seems to be hit or miss these days. What hit? The pumpkin bread samples at the register. You can't go wrong there. It's some of the best money can buy. What missed? Our orders lacked flavor and the quality just seemed off. But it was a salad and a sandwich so the bar is pretty low. Will I go back to Kneaders? Absolutely. It's an Utah favorite for a reason.

Our first visit to this restaurant. I ordered turkey/cranberry sandwich. my guest had a chicken sandwich. There wasn't any real cranberry, but a small bit of cranberry sauce over the turkey. The sandwich was tasty and the bread was fresh. This place has baked goods and gift baskets for purchase.

I ordered a ham and swiss, no onion, and asked to "please make sure there is honey mustard", since that ingredient had been forgotten several times before. Unfortunately, the sandwich I got - had onions - had no honey mustard - had an entire half a tomato (!) sliced and squashed in one one half of the sandwich (the other half had no tomatos) - had barely any meat - looked like it was thrown together in 30 seconds or less The only reason I'm rating two stars instead of one was because my wife was satisfied with her sandwich. I, however, have had several very poorly made ham and swiss sandwiches the past few times I've been the last few months. They didn't always make food this way, I don't know why it's been so much worse lately. You can order much higher quality sandwiches from Jersey Mike's or even Jimmy John's and get more sandwich for less money compared to Kneaders. Tonight was the last straw, I'm not ordering here again.

    Are we joking?

I am rarely so disappointed in a restaurant I want to drive back and demand a refund but tonight I wanted to do just that and would have if it weren't 9 pm and I needed to get home to get kids to bed. I ordered the provolone and munster cheese melt. The bread was limp and barely toasted. And they put 1 small slice of provolone and one small slice of Munster on 3 giant slices of bread. The bread tasted like cinnamon like they had cut the sandwich in half with a knife that had been used on their chunky cinnamon loaf. I'm guessing cinnamon isn't supposed to be in the grilled cheese flavor profile. I paid $11.49 for the worst grilled cheese I've ever had. I was so disappointed and appalled that they would serve that to anyone! Do better kneaders. This was pitiful.

    Small salad big price.

I spent 25 minutes in the drive thru.. I ordered a large avocado salad and a medium drink. The price was $15.27 the salad was tiny. They use sell their salads in big plastic bowls.. they are now sold in small containers. I was one of two cars in the drive thru. It's been a year since I stopped at a Kneaders. I won't be back. Definitely don't get what you pay for and they try to save money at every corner.. hire a staff pay them well! You can do that for what you charge for food. I wish the owners cared like they use too. Gone way down hill.

The dreaded omelette accompanied by a single sad strawberry. (The sausage patty was an add on, and the best thing of the plate)

Bread great, Omelettes inexcusable.... This Kneaders is a place I frequent quite often. I have always enjoyed their fresh breads sliced upon purchase and the beautiful cookies. The atmosphere is always pleasant and this is the one good breakfast spot in Highland/Alpine, here comes the "but", the omelette I was served this last visit was so poorly executed, I have to review it. An aspiring child chef could have done better. The "American omelette" I was served was not only paper thin, it was dry, had no cheese inside, a very minuscule amount of ham and large raw whole florets of broccoli lumped into it making it appear more like a few kittens thrown in a sack... the only thing more pathetic was the "fresh fruit", which consisted of a less than perfect single strawberry rolling around on the side. Why I did not take it back? Because the point of being there was a visit with my girlfriends, and the engrossing conversation. I was certain the cooks could not do better, so I didn't take the time. Please do better next time Kneaders, or I will have to deem you worthy of nothing more than a bread and pastry shop.

Disappointed to open my take out French toast at home to find it very burned. Took a while to get my take out order as well even tho I arrived well past the "ready" window. I feel like this is common when I order takeout. Overall prices have increased but food quality has gone down.

Fresh, fresh, fresh. We came in for lunch and got salads. They were a small size however a very large portion for one serving. Lots of meat and fruit, and it looked better than any pictures I had seen. The taste was amazing. On the way out. We also grabbed some pastries and the carrot cake was simply out of this world! Great lunch spot.

They all were so good that we couldn't agree on a favorite. Breakfast burrito and ube pancakes for mains. The burrito was STUFFED with delicious chorizo, cheese, egg, and veggies. Wrapped in a super large tortilla then grilled for crispy exterior. Served with a fantastic salsa with hints chipotle heat. Great flavor but not so much that it buries the flavor. The ube pancakes were also incredible. Four large, lightly crisped cakes topped with ube whipped cream, blueberries, blueberry syrup drizzle, and a mint sprig. First bite was so good that I didn't talk for at least five minutes, so I could shovel in more and more. They came with a side of syrup, but it was definitely not needed. I'll certainly be back to try more menu items, but it'll be hard to resist temptation of the burrito. I tried the meat on both the birria hash and carnitas hash and I'd have to say I prefer the carnitas over the birria! Because it was Father's Day they also sent the dads away with a bottle of root beer, which I thought was fun. I would definitely recommend and will also go again and try something new. We did end up getting there around 9:30, which was great timing. When we were leaving there were a lot of people waiting around for their table.

Every dish that came to our table looked like it belonged in a magazine, but the best part was that the food tasted just as incredible as it looked. We started with the Eggs Benedict, which featured perfectly poached eggs, flavorful rosemary ham, rich hollandaise, and crispy potatoes. The Funky Monkey French Toast was over-the-top in the best possible way, loaded with Nutella, bananas, berries, roasted peanuts, and real maple syrup. The double cheeseburger was juicy, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with crispy fries. We also loved the Beet & Strawberry Panzanella, which balanced sweet strawberries, earthy beets, creamy whipped goat cheese, crunchy pecans, and fresh mint for a refreshing combination. The biggest surprise of the meal was the beignets. Warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar, they were easily one of the best we've ever had. They practically melted in our mouths and were worth the visit all on their own. If you're looking for an outstanding brunch spot in Utah with creative dishes, generous portions, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Sunday's Best is an easy recommendation. We came on a weekday morning, no waiting list needed, and were seated immediately. Promising start. Then we waited ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, in a restaurant that was not crowded and appeared to be well staffed. This is not a one time observation. The gap between being seated and actually being served has been a recurring theme across multiple visits, and at some point a pattern stops being a coincidence and starts being a logistics problem that needs fixing. When the food finally arrived it reminded me exactly why I keep giving this place another chance. The crepes with berries and mascarpone were delicate and well executed, though the kitchen could afford to be more generous with both the berry sauce and the mascarpone. The portion is on the modest side, which worked fine for me personally but may leave hungrier diners wanting more. The traditional omelet was the star of the visit, specifically the jalapeño wrapped in bacon that comes with it. It was exceptional and the kind of detail that shows real kitchen creativity. My only complaint is that there is only one. There should be at least two. The cinnamon roll is enormous, which is its own form of commitment, but the dough ran a little dry this visit compared to previous experiences. An off day perhaps, but worth noting. Three stars, and every one of them belongs to the kitchen. Sort out the service flow and this place jumps immediately.
