TLDR: food is good, but not worth the price in my opinion. I was pretty excited to try this place! I know there is almost always a wait, so come prepped and ready to be waiting for awhile. The restaraunt in and of itself is cute, and overall the food is very fresh. That being said, I personally don't love to spend $6 on a lemonade that isn't even refillable but hey, maybe that's just me! Overall the food is good, we probably won't be back just because she's a pricey! But hey, if you're someone who enjoys a $6 limeade- I've got the place for you!
This place was BUSY, we came around 1pm, was quoted a 20 minute wait, waiting probably 15 minutes and was texted that our table was ready. The food wasn't really my cup of tea, but overall tasted good. I ordered the Biscuit Benedict, the biscuit meal overall was yummy, but I kinda expected the hash to be more crispy it was more mashy. Didn't like that. My friend ordered the Hoss, that wasn't too bad as well. Breakfast wise it probably would not be my first choice to go eat. While my friend and I were catching up clearly still eating, we felt a little rushed out, the waitress came with the check. Felt kind of pressured to pay and get out. So we paid and left.
It may seem weird to have limeade with biscuits but it was delicious! Their drinks are 5/5 good. The hot coco made my day! The hash browns were not my favorite but would recommend everything else.
I really wanted this place to knock my socks off-but my socks were only slightly moved. I've had it on my list for awhile after seeing some cool videos on social media and finally made it in this weekend. The ambience is much more low-key than I expected. Think super casual strip mall restaurant. The first couple of tables past the entrance looked to be used for overflow storage. There is a brightly painted wall that added some cheer to the space. The service was outstanding. I was greeted warmly and my server was attentive and kind-I wish I'd gotten his name so I could recognize him here. I ordered plain biscuits and gravy and got just what I ordered. The food was fine-although it was overly creamy for my taste. I'm sure that's just a personal preference, not anything to fault the restaurant for. I'd return, but would probably try something else.
When the word "Biscuits" is in the name of a restaurant, it's usually a safe bet to assume their biscuits are probably really good. This is absolutely true for Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade; their biscuits were outstanding! Our server was super sweet, really funny and had an awesome attitude! There were also staff members who periodically checked in to take unused dishes away which was nice. I ordered the Biscuit Benedict and I'm so happy that I did. The biscuits were thick, fluffy and buttery. Definitely worthy of having a spot in the name of the restaurant. The hollandaise sauce didn't particularly wow me, but it was tasty nonetheless! I'm a picky eater, so I found out that their hash comes pre-mixed with the spinach and red quinoa, so it isn't possible to have plain hash without the additions. At first I was bummed, because I've never been a fan of quinoa and spinach is the last thing I'd think to add to potatoes. I was expecting not to like the hash, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed it! The quinoa added a slightly crunchy texture, and the spinach added a subtle extra taste that worked really well in the hash. I was surprised at how much I ended up liking it! I also ordered a s'mores hot chocolate without whipped cream, and it was ok, but I'd probably choose a different flavor because this one had a slightly off-putting fake taste to it that I wasn't a huge fan of. All in all, the positives here outweighed the slight negatives I experienced, and I would be more than happy to come back for another delicious brunch!
I mean... the peppermint hot chocolate is its own stand alone experience. The coffee is decent and they have the funniest mugs, love that so much!! They brought one of my friends who isn't even a dad a "World's Best Mom" mug and it was just silly and tickled us so. The limeades!!!! Just get one. I know, I know, it's crazy I haven't tried their biscuits but my friends bought some to take home and said they microwave so perfectly, so I need to get on that, seeing what all the fuss is about The food is consistently good and I love all the extra steps the owners take to keep it local and sustainable. The reason this place doesn't get 5 is because the service isn't consistently good. Sometimes we receive great service and other times, it's as if it's annoying to our server that we are there. But... if you know the wait isn't going to be long and the food is going to be good... it's worth going back.
Stopped for breakfast. Quality eggs, hash browns and nice biscuit. Ordered two eggs cooked right with bright yellow yolks. Bacon was good too. Coffee wasn't diluted like many restaurants are. Wait staff was pleasant. Will return.

I dont recall what we had ordered specifically (but I did take pictures) but everything we ate was good. It is a little on the heavy side since I dont eat big meals. I have the say, the service was a little slow but I dont blame them since it was PACKED full of people. The restaurant itself seems huge inside yet they have outdoor seating as well. We ordered: hash with a biscuit and gravy dish, salad, a side order of their biscuit, and lemonade. Heres the real talk: I rarely eat or order biscuits since it's too dry IMO. But the biscuits, here, was soo good to the point I order two more to take back with me to the hotel room because I enjoyed it that much. Also, they make homemade jam which was also a plus. Great for brunch! A++++
Loaded hash browns are spicy and delicious! The bread pudding French toast looks better than it tastes, super dry, not recommended unless I had an old piece. It's also very huge. My husband had the Benedict and said it was good. Our server from Atlanta was great and super helpful with my family, great service!
Came in for lunch with the family. Ordered the Hoss, Biscuit Benedict, and kids chicken nuggies. The biscuits are great. The chicken is really good too. The sausage gravy had great flavor, it was unfortunate that the gravy was cold when the plate came out. When I notifies the server he brought out a bowl of hot gravy.
Was able to walk in and quickly get seated on a Saturday morning. Started with the Peppermint hot cocoa and pumpkin hot cocoa - both were overflowing with whipped cream and sprinkles and were delicious. Ordered the biscuit Benedict and the bread pudding French toast. The Benedict was perfect and the biscuit underneath was flaky but not overly dense. The Benedict came with quinoa hash browns - had never had that before was was pleasantly surprised by it. The French toast was served with blueberries and icing - was not expecting it to be dense but it was still good, probably could have used a little bit of whipped cream or a small bit of syrup. Was still good.
I'm back! Picked up my glasses next door and I take a big whiff of bacon in the air! Truthfully I've been thinking about this place since last night. I'm getting what I got last week... the Benedict with the loaded potatoes. Changing it up with a melon cucumber limeade. Coffee on point and they have cream in a small serving cup??? See the pic. I was so excited at that special touch that I knocked it over causing a mess that did not go unnoticed by Kelcie the amazing young lady I applauded last week for being so good at what she does. Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade never misses! I had only ever been to the downtown location so I was excited to check out the Draper location. We checked the waitlist for both locations around 10am and the downtown location was already over an hour wait! The Draper location was a 20-30 minute wait, so we hopped on the waitlist and drove over. We got there a little bit late so we waited maybe 10 minutes to be seated after we arrived. The food here is just amazing. They have a vegetarian option called the T-Rose with veggie gravy and asparagus and everything about it is drool-worthy. The biscuits are obviously amazing - if the restaurant has biscuits in the name they have to be delicious! They're so flavorful and light and fluffy. I was talked into getting the cheesy hash browns as well, which are really unique - they have quinoa in them and are packed full of flavor. You can order them with "the works" which include cheesy, bacon, and jalapeños as well. They also have their own hot sauces you can try - one is apparently very hot, and the other is mild. I also got a raspberry mimosa - apparently you can't order mimosas before 10:30, but the second it hit 10:30 the server was on it and took my order. It had fresh raspberries in it and was very good. They had quite a few other mimosa options as well but I loved the raspberry one. We got their fresh orange juice as well and that was amazing. Next time I'm back I'll try a mimosa with their fresh OJ. The Draper location is beautiful and I believe a little bit less crowded, at least at the time we went which was fairly early in the day. It was really easy to join the waitlist via Yelp and get live updates on when our table would be ready.
The limited menu is executed well and the addition of "boozy" drinks is a fun touch. However, service is always a little slow but excellent and Lisa went above and beyond to help us adapt the limeade for our daughter with type one diabetes. They have indoor and outdoor seating, it's always a little loud which you expect for a popular joint. We love the biscuits and the new bag of minis most definitely made its way home with us today. read more

I want to start off with customer service. My friend and I were here for brunch. In the middle of eating and conversation, we were brought our check. That will always make me feel rushed, and it will always ruin the meal. We were probably only there for 20-30 mins by this point. So we cleared the tab and our waitress immediately came over with to go boxes that we declined, and then asked to clear our dishes. Anyways on to the food. I order the Hoss, and it was a strange combo for me personally. Chicken and biscuits is one thing but the bacon made it heavy. The biscuits itself were good as was the gravy. The thing as a whole just didn't blend well together for me. My friend ordered the Biscuit Benedict and it came with hash. I tried the hash and it almost felt like I was eating mash potatoes. Brought my niece here for a birthday lunch. It was her first time trying Sweet Lake Biscuits. I've been multiple times to the downtown location and once before at the Draper location. While the food was delicious, I couldn't help but notice that "shrinkflation" may have been in play this visit. I'm not sure how long our plate's may have been under the heat lamp, but my hollandaise sauce seemed almost dried out on top of my eggs. There was such a small portion as well. Normally, Eggs Benedict has a fairly good amount of sauce as to cover the poached egg, protein, and biscuit. Today, it covered just the poached egg and was dried out from the heat lamp that it could barely be called a sauce. The gravy on the Hoss my niece ordered was just enough to cover the biscuit. They're usually quite generous. It was pretty disappointing. Even my blackbird cocktail seemed smaller than the last visit. I could have sworn it came in a pint glass last time. This visit it came in a small, tea type glass. While my niece truly enjoyed her meal. I was put off on this visit. Not sure if I would come back to this location. This was our post hike brunch stop and we enjoyed our meal. My husband and I shared: - Hoss with Loaded Hash - Biscuit Bread Pudding French Toast - Bananas Bayou - Mint & Raspberry Limeades The raspberry limeade was hands down my favorite thing. It was made with fresh chunks of raspberry and it was delicious. I loved the Hoss. Chicken, gravy, bacon, biscuit--how can you go wrong? The Biscuit Banana Pudding French Toast wasn't my favorite. It was dense and kind of dry. I enjoyed the Bananas Bayou, but I thought the biscuit could have been a bit smaller (with the same amount of toppings). My friends and I eat here often for breakfast, everything they make is locally sourced and taste, very fresh and homemade! They make the best breakfast sandwiches and the best avocado toast with eggs! The breads and biscuits they make are delicious, at my home I rarely eat bread but here yes I eat bread! I enjoy the fresh squeezed orange juice, their comfortable seating the casual ambience and the sunshine mural on the wall. Nice atmosphere definitely family friendly I heard that they get busy here on weekends. I go during the week with my friends so we have time to sit together and talk. The team who works here are very friendly and we received excellent service. My friends and I definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

If i could give this place 9 stars I would! We loved it! We got their burger of the month for June 2023. The "my life is a mess" burger and you have to get the bacon on it!! One of the best burgers I've ever had! The perfect combo of sweet and a touch spice. LOVED IT! Service is great. Limeades are great. Our kids got biscuits with gravy and the portions were huge! Next time they can share! Highly highly recommend!! Now they just need to build one out west in south jordan! read more

The food is always pretty decent. Definitely higher quality than an IHOP or Denny's (for the same price point...about $15 per entree). The Service was pretty lacking even though it wasn't packed. My water was empty for like 90% of our visit. The ambiance is pretty nice, but the bathrooms are horrendous and definitely need some TLC. read more

Food is decent and feels homey. I love fried chicken; it was crunchy and tasted delicious. Service was understandably slow for a Saturday brunch. Bacon was too dry, cheese melted but when it reached our table it was cooled down and not as good anymore. I think timing wise there's something off in their operation. read more

I'd heard great things about Sweet Lake Biscuits, so I decided to give it a try! My friends and I went on a Saturday around 11:45 am so I was expecting a long wait. We put our name on the list and we were told it'd be over an hour wait (the yelp waitlist wasn't showing up, so I couldn't put my name on there ahead of time). To our surprise, we actually got seated in just over 30 minutes! We quickly had our waitress come to take our order and not long after we got our food. I was very pleased with the speedy service! I ordered the Titanic, which also came with the house chips, and a raspberry limeade. The chips and salsa were like nothing I had tasted before and I really enjoyed them--the salsa tasted so fresh! The sandwich was SO good, the chicken was nice and crispy, but also not dry on the inside. I loved the mustard sauce on it, definitely pulled the whole dish together! The limeade was good, but I honestly don't know if it was good enough to justify the cost. Although our food came out quickly, we didn't see much of our waitress the rest of the time we were there. No refills on water or anything. I understand it was busy but the water cups were also TINY and those biscuits make you thirsty! I also tried to use a coupon and the waitress told me I couldn't use it because she already started ringing up the order which was kind of upsetting. Overall, great food and atmosphere! I cannot stop thinking about this place!! Stopped here for brunch recently. We ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice & it was very fresh! We loved this. I ordered the Basic B with the bacon on the side. I'm not sure I received portobello mushroom gravy on this dish because it looked like there was some meat in this sauce but very minimal which I appreciated. This sandwich was soo good!! The egg was cooked to perfection, the biscuit was fluffy. The gravy wasn't too spicy for me, but had great flavor! I'm drooling just writing this review. My friend ordered the biscuit benedict with the upgraded Cubano meat. He said the Cubano meat wasn't necessary, he actually didn't care for this upgrade to this sandwich. But liked the benedict as a whole. We also ordered a biscuit bar with gravy. This gravy also wasn't too spicy in flavor for me & also didn't have a lot of meat in it, which I appreciated! I've been a big fan of the Salt Lake City location for years and this was my first time visiting the Draper spot. Pros: Parking is much easier at this location and the interior is nice, clean, and much more spacious. Staff was super friendly. Cons: It didn't seem like the food quality was as good as the SLC location. I got the Basic B (my go to order) and it was just good -- kinda hard to mess up. My husband got the San Antone and unfortunately it was super bad. It featured chewy chicken drowned in so much honey that the whole sandwich got soggy. I'd say stick to their biscuit dishes :) read more

I came here on a Saturday at 8:30 AM for a girls breakfast. There were six of us and we only needed to wait for about 15 minutes to get seated. We all got something different and everyone enjoyed their food. I personally don't like anything spicy, and I had the Hoss before and I thought that if I didn't get the gravy it wouldn't be spicy, but their breaded chicken is also spicy, so if you don't like spicy, just don't get the Hoss. Also, their hollandaise sauce is pretty spicy as well, so stay away from that as well if you don't like spicy. read more

Prior to visiting here for lunch, I had been to the Salt Lake location for breakfast. We came here as my choice for my birthday lunch with my bosses. There was a wait, but they seated us WAY faster than what they quoted us (pro tip: always under promise and over deliver). I was surprised (and sad) that two in our group didn't order anything with biscuits. That's what this place is good at. I think one or two in our group ordered the Hoss and were happy with it. I ordered the Titanic. I had to knife and fork that thing because it really was massive (honestly, it would've taken out the iceberg). The chicken was super good, as was the biscuit. I didn't love the spicy mustard, not because it wasn't good but because I can't handle spice. And it overwhelmed the taste of the biscuit for me. Our server did a decent job but struggled to get our drink orders right and keep them straight. Maybe there are too many limeade options? Everyone really liked their food, and said they would come back. While I enjoyed my ship of a sandwich, I think I will stick to breakfast items in the future. You just can't beat good old fashioned biscuits and gravy. That being said, you really can't go wrong at Sweet Lake. Give it a go if you haven't yet. read more
I've already reviewed Sweet Lakes, but the food was so good this time that I wanted to scream it from the Yelp rooftops! The kitchen was pretty backed up (probably due to the Father's Day rush) but the food was worth the wait. A friend and I shared the breakfast burrito and the biscuit bar and we were in flavor heaven!! These are definitely two of my new favorite menu items. And the coffee and honeydew cucumber limeade were delicious as well. The kitchen must have been putting a little extra love in all the food for Fathers Day! read more

Great customer service! All employees in masks! I felt respected and cared for. The biscuits were AMAZING. The eggs Benedict was slightly spicy which isn't my fave but not burning my mouth at least. The Hollandaise was so good. I liked the green onion with it too. The hash was meh. Pretty dry and flavorless. And I loved the mint limeade! I need to go back and get a plate of just biscuits!!! read more
