Today I am at my neighborhood Kneaders for their Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich and Raspberry tart flash special. It always smells so good in here and I want to buy everything because it looks so good. This location was very busy for lunch with both fine in snd take away orders. After a little bit of a wait due to the volume my sandwich and tart arrived. It looked great with smoke turkey, a great pesto sauce and soft fresh bread, yum. I wound up eating the whole time hung plus that wonderful little raspberry tart. Not sure why this location has such a poor rating, I thought it was great food, service was good. This is my first time at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe. I ordered at the counter and it was delivered to my table in just a few minutes. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and surprisingly quiet with only a few customers enjoying their meal. My Turkey Cranberry Croissant had a generous amount of turkey and the light and flakey croissant was a nice change compared to a wheat bread sandwich. I will definitely be back to try their Chicken Salad Croissant. read more

Went in for breakfast and ordered the Chunky Cinnamon French Toast and to my surprise it comes with unlimited refills. I didn't see this advertised anywhere, unless I missed it but learned of that when I asked what the difference was between this and the kids French toast option. The meal starts with two pieces of French toast and the most delicious syrup m and whipped cream with strawberries. The only thing that could have made it better was extra strawberries. My kids are super picky and ate this without hesitation. There were also several samples when you walk in and the lemon poppyseed bread and brownie were phenomenal. The food always looks great and fresh. The restaurant is always clean and had plenty of seating. read more

We went through the drive-thru and ordered 2 iced caramel coffees with creamer, 2 slices of pie, 2 "crack chicken" sandwiches, and a breakfast croissant. We were sitting at the window for 20 minutes at least. First, we got the cold coffee in a hot coffee cup? Not a big deal but kind of weird. We tasted it, it was absolutely bitter and gross. There was no caramel syrup in it. Just iced coffee and half & half. I had to bring it back in and a gal did remake them for us. Then, we get home and look at our food, the croissant had a runny egg and was put in a BAG. The egg went all over and made a mess. Disgusting. Next, we open the sandwich boxes and the bread on mine was torn apart. My husband opened his sandwich to see the amount of chicken and it was pathetic. Usually this location is pretty good and this was our first time going through the drive-thru and we were massively disappointed. Probably wont be coming back, unfortunately. I'm sure I can find a better place to spend $60. read more

Walking into this place makes you hungry for everything! There are so many wonderful holiday aromas once you walk in! Near the cash register there are samples you can try. They also have a nice eating areas indoors and outdoors. You won't go wrong in anything you order to eat here. They have breakfast sandwiches that are great... ham, egg and cheese croissants are a must try. Plus big kudos to the staff. True confession- I was not going to review my experience here but our whole group was so impressed with the gal working, Alecia. Wow she was so fast, friendly and efficient. The place was busy and she managed it well. My sandwich was delicious! I had sausage egg and cheese on honey wheat bread. Sandwich was usually served on croissant but they do allow you to switch bread. My chai tea was also quite tasty. read more

I believe my husband and I have given Kneaders multiple tries over many years now before deciding to downgrade our rating to 2 stars. The food overall is ok but the price for what we are getting it is not justified in our opinion. We stopped by the drive-thru a few weeks ago to order chocolate and almond croissants. They were completely out of them. We asked if they normally have cheese croissants and the lady taking our order said no but they will make us a cheese melt in a croissant. We appreciated that and thought, sure why not! And then we asked if they had any other croissants and she said, only raspberry so we decided to try one. We waited quite a bit in the car, while the car in front of us got their order and then we had to wait for our food as well. For 3 croissants, we paid $26! I am not sure why they are so expensive! When we got home, the cheese croissants looked sad. Basically pressed croissants with cold melted cheese inside. Did they taste good? Yes but I wouldn't pay this much for what we got for sure! This place is really a hit or miss, all the time. You may or may not find what you're looking to order, you may or may not get your order right, and you may or may not get good quality food at the end. Only because this store was on my way home, I stopped in to buy 6 cookies because I had people coming over that evening and I wanted a few cookies. I chose 2 cookies from 3 different flavors. Lovely! I'm so excited! They packed them up and I went to the register to be rung-up. They just about had to pick me up off the floor when I was told my total was $18 plus change. I know I looked shocked. Disgusting food, toddlers meal for 8 dollars was literally dried up old bread a piece of ham and American cheese thrown in a bag all sloppy. My sandwich was 2 huge thick dried pieces of focaccia with a couple pieces of turkey and 1 piece of bacon and it was one of the worst tasting sandwhiches I've ever eaten. Cookie that came in kids meal was also terrible! I do not recommend and won't be back. read more

To preface, I did come on Pi day which offered $2 off pie slices with entree purchase, but was saddened that their supplies weren't being replenished as it was only noon and options were a bit scarce so I went with the tart. However, the tart was delicious and the pie did not disappoint. Another thing I noticed was my salad included cashews and cilantro, but I wasn't served any and our meals were served with only plasticware. Desserts were also served on paper plates. Overall, the meal was yummy but I wouldn't make a special return any time soon. Some positive notes I did notice they served my salad in a to go box and they were happy to let me try two dressings. This location also has a neat local merchants area/crafting counter (I'm not sure if it was just for deco) and a fireplace which was cozy. I have been going to Kneaders on occasion over the years. Their sandwiches and soups are relatively good. The "scrumptious" looking baked goods that are on full display for hungry customers are not. They are very bland and usually dry. I wonder if they put hardly any salt, sugar, butter, or flavoring extracts in them. Probably very little. I have NEVER had one that tasted great. And I've tried them all - cookies, sweet rolls, brownies, pies, ect. So sad. read more

I will never EVER come back to the place. The service was terrible. The management is so incompetent. They never staff this place properly. I ordered one sandwich to go, which didn't even need to be cooked. It took well over 30 minutes to get my order. There is absolutely nothing on this menu that cannot be ordered at some other sandwich shop. At 5:30pm on a Friday, there were 3 loaves of bread on the shelf and hardly any other baked desserts. This was such a disappointing experience, it's not worth tying to come back. If this was a one time thing, it would be different. This seems to happen each time I try this place. Came yesterday for cookies, and some other desserts and they were out. Randomly we are back today for dinner, and they are out of 2/3 of their breads. Focaccia French and baguettes just to name a few. A number in our group decided not to eat here and go somewhere else. I feel like this place is really going downhill. I ordered a tuna croissant because they are notorious for making your sandwich with one thin slice of cold cut in a huge piece of bread, but today, I found a brown curly strand of hair in my tuna melt. I just took it off and ate it, because it's not unacceptable in my book. It happens, we all shed. I never raise a fit when I find hair in my food in other restaurants. But then to make my experience worse, I found a smudge of mayonnaise in my supposedly fresh salad. It's obvious it came out of somebody's sandwich, or whatever it may have come from, I just completely lost my appetite. Ordered breakfast and bread through the drive thru. Made the mistake of not checking the bag before I left. Got home and we were missing a cinnamon roll. Ordered the kids French toast. It was burnt and there was no syrup with it. Also got the chunky cinnamon bread and it doesn't look close to what they used to sell. This location has gone downhill fast. They weren't busy so I'm not sure why everything was so bad. I gave them 1 star because the Italian omelette was okay. Hate to see this location fail. read more

I came to do some hw and grab a snack and when I asked for the wifi they said no public access. But the wifi said Kneaders guest. I suggest you change the name. It wouldn't normally be an issue but it's 117 outside looking for a place thats comfortable to do hw and the wifi name can be miss leading. And if it requires me to purchase something they did not mention that. Just a hassle to go and find somewhere else. read more

Busy all day Monday didn't get a chance to eat. So around 4:30pm on a Monday we stopped into Kneaders on McDowell Road in Mesa. The wait time was short and our order quickly taken. I got the beef au jus sandwich and my wife got a club sandwich. We also ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup (it was raining outside). If I could give this place '0' stars, I would. When we got here at 8:20 am on a Saturday morning we were slightly surprised to see an empty parking lot but happy to know we wouldn't have to wait long for breakfast. Wrong. When we walked into the restaurant, there was only one couple sitting on the patio who had just been served coffee. The dining room was empty and we placed our order. A couple omelettes, the pancakes, french toast, a BLT, ice coffee, drip coffee and two smoothies. After waiting at the table for 30 minutes I walked up and asked what was taking so long. That's when I realized only three people were working in the restaurant. She said it would be out shortly. 5 min later they brought out the omelettes, French toast and pancakes. No coffee. missing the BLT and the smoothies. 10 min later after I had to walk up again, they brought out the BLT, one smoothie, and the coffee. No straws or silverware. 5 min later after another trip up front we got the last smoothie and straws. All the food was at a luke warm temp and lacked flavor. We will never be back. Ever. read more
