I had a wonderful visit at Baskin Robbins in Gilbert. The space was very clean, welcoming, and beautifully put together, and the entire staff was genuinely friendly from the moment I walked in. Rebecca was especially wonderful. She was warm, helpful, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed with all our orders. And to say we had a large crowd which some would not appreciate. You can really tell she cares about the people who come in and about the quality of the service. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I will absolutely be coming back to this location. Customer service not great. Wanted a clown cone for my son's birthday and wanted to be sure I could get one, so I stopped in about a week before to ask if I should order it or what the best approach was. The worker said they usually make a bunch and stock the freezer first thing in the morning, so as long as I didn't come too late in the day there would be plenty. To be sure, I then asked if I should place an order and he said it wasn't needed. The day before the party, I got a weird feeling and decided I'd go get it a day early just to be sure I had it. Sure enough, at noon on a Friday, the shop was empty and there were no clown cones. I asked the worker if they had any and she just said "No." Lol. So I asked when they would...?!! And she told me whenever they got around to making them. ?!! Like what?! I told her the whole story about what the other guy told me. She finally begrudgingly asked what flavor I wanted and she would write up an order for it to be made the next day. So I had to come back a third day for the clown cone. Great Baskin Robbins location! I went to get an ice cream cake for my birthday and got an Oreo cookie ice cream cake that was delicious. Fun old pandemic bday at home with just mom and dad! We also got ice cream scoops because why not. I was really happy to see that the girl working there washed her hands in between serving the person before us and serving us our ice cream. She put on new gloves afterward too and wore her mask. There was a partition between her and us when we paid. I was so so glad to see Baskin Robbins taking the pandemic seriously and doing what they can to keep their employees and customers safe. I usually get the chocolate chip cookie dough, but my favorite flavor is the love potion 31. It's seasonal though - I wish they had it year round! read more

My daughter recently celebrated her birthday. We are a part of their member program. She received a FREE scoop offer (that expires in just a few days) so decided to go in and use it. Location was clean & fairly busy when we arrived about 2:45 PM. One young man on staff, but only a short wait which was ok because we were deciding on what flavors to get. My daughter got a child's small as her free scoop & went with the Cookie Dough & a Mocha Cappuccino Blast. She really enjoyed the drink. I had a scoop of the Moms Making Cookies which was light and creamy texture with hints of crumbly cookies throughout it. Yum! My husband had 2 scoops of the Peanut Butter Chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone.Wow! Service was good by the ice cream server. He just seemed very quiet and somewhat shy. Fun times at BR. Heard they had been vegan options and had a coupon for a free ice cream, so dropped by the local BR. Waited in line for 30+ minutes. Had time to check out the non-dairy offerings, considered leaving and trying my luck at another location when I only saw daiquiri ice, but chose to wait since I like daiquiris. I get my order and at checkout am told that they don't think they can take the coupon since it's family Tuesday and there's already a discount. I asked, "Sooo do you want it back?" She said, "It's up to you," so I handed the cone back and walked away. I'll try my luck at another location and hopefully get to try a more interesting flavor. Gave it a 3 star because I'm generous and don't want my experience to deter others, especially since there are a wide range of dairy options for those who like it. Went into the store - looked at all the flavors and said to the girl that it appears they don't have mint chip anymore - she said they do and pointed to a gray colored ice cream with some dark spots. When I was a kid I loved Baskin Robbins. Who didn't? They had 31 different ice cream choices, and the ice cream was good. Well, it doesn't seem to me the ice cream is that good anymore. Or maybe my standards have changed. But compared to all natural ice creams you can get in the grocery, and gelato you can get in a gelato shop, this just doesn't measure up. I can't say it's "bad". It's not. But it's just not competitive with those other options. The employees I encountered were fine. Friendly and providing good service. But the product just didn't impress. Just had a pretty awful/embarrassing experience here, so I felt compelled to download this app and let someone know. My co-workers told me to come here for a treat on my birthday. The employee behind the counter rudely told me that I had to download the app to get anything, so after spending 10 minutes there in the store doing so on my phone, I then showed it to her and asked her about the promotion. She proceeded to say "umm I'm not sure I've never seen the app before, hold on" and then asked her boss--who must have just told her to tell me to F off or something. I went in to this location to redeem my gift card that was given to me as a gift. I am frequently dieting so I decided to purchase smaller & multiple gift cards, that I could give away to my students. The cashier was not able to Complete my transaction so he called the owner. He came back and said you can't purchase gift cards with gift cards. I requested to speak with the owner and she told me the same thing, you can't purchase gift cards with a gift cards. I've worked and have shopped at many businesses and I've never ran into this kind of predicament. The owner could have given me an explanation of why I couldn't purchase gift cards with an equal amount of gift card and shown a sign of being apologetic. These kids working here have not been trained properly from how to run the cash register, knowing how to make shakes, scoop ice-cream, heat hot fudge, to walking in the back leaving one person to serve more than 10 people standing in line. Since the store has been renovated and re-opened recently in 2017, this location on Gilbert & williamsfield has had the worst customer service not only with employees but the owners as well (Jim Wise). They don't care about their customers just their pocket book. We go there a few times a week with our family and have for years. One evening the employee shorted us on our change, the next time they said they couldn't give us a military discount because they didn't know how, the next day the employee said they gave us our 10% military discount but only gave us a (.10cent) discount lol. Everytime we've gone since the new re opening the serving size has been quite a bit smaller than it usually is yet the cost has increased. Why?? That is frustrating because we pay more for quality yet get less. When my husband called to talk to the owner Jim Wise, and we let him know about the teenage girl that gave us the ten cent discount he told us, that was his wife, and that we we're the only ones with a problem and nothing was wrong with his customer service. We then called corporate, they apologized and said Jim wise would be calling us to apologize, we never recieved a call from Jim. That basically told us he doesn't care or have time for his customers. He also said he didn't have to give a military discount which tells me he does not appreciate his freedom or those that fight and sacrifice their lives for his freedom. When we took our 5 kids to canes they had zero problem giving us a military discount, infact the manager told the employee he had no problem discouting $3.00 for someone that is willing to put their life on the line for his freedom, then he thanked my husband for his service. Now that's patriotism. We take our family of 7 out regularly but will never go to Baskin Robbins again. Only businesses that honor our military and give the good service we are paying for will get our money. read more

I had coupons from the Entertainment Book, so thought, what the heck I'm always down for a deal. However, I don't think I'll be returning to this location. The high school age girls working here had serious attitude both times I went. My fiance asked if the peanut butter sauce was good and she just stared at him and said, "I guess". Perhaps my only criticism was that there isn't an option to add a tip for the counter employee on the receipt, and I never carry cash anymore, so I couldn't tip the friendly counter employee! I've never had good service here. The younger employees seem better than the older ones which is unfortunate. The flavors are amazing, like any Baskin Robbins, but the service of the older employees is mediocre at most. The older gentleman seems mundane and confused whenever I am in this store. There was a man with a beard a few times ago and he didn't speak and really wasn't personable at all. Whenever the younger boys and girls are there they provide excellent service and a smile. My family has been coming here for years ! About a year ago I think they got new owners ... seems like this place is operated much better now. Tonight it was busy but the girl behind the counter kaelyn was so nice and kept talking to us and our kids while we were waiting in line . You can tell that The kiddos they have working here really love their job because they are always really happy & it's nice to be served by the same person.
