While I still love Kneaders...the rewards/loyalty program is the worse. We spend, we then need to log receipt, and God forbid if you get a reward to use. By the time you log in (if successful) to show reward lunch is over, or the line behind you is our the door so you say "forgetaboutit" and just pay the full freight. Who sold them this STUPID, not customer friendly program? I use second thoughts when choosing Kneaders all around this inefficient system. They will never know how many customers hate and don't follow through with their system. Key fobs work (with bar codes) for the majority of establishments. Kneaders need not have tried to reinvent the wheel. Ugh! read more

We were on a business trip to the area and it was our second visit to this location. The food ordered was for my husband. One coffee. One egg and cheese sandwich. Coffee was standard. Sandwich was greasy and nothing special. It took over 20 minutes to get the one sandwich. Why? There was one woman cooking all of the orders and one woman handling taking and distributing both in store and takeout window orders even though there were five people (three employees, one manager, and one white shirted gentleman who walked in and promptly went to the back office) on property. Both of them looked exhausted. There were two other parties waiting in store for their orders wondering what was going on. Facility was in disarray. Pastry display cases disorganized. Bread scattered along with crumbs everywhere in slicing area. Floors not clean. Displays not presentable. Gift wrapping area strewn with chopped ribbons, pens, etc. Management not managing. Sadly, it's gone down hill. (Even pre-Covid) Last 3 times we've visited not a single table in the restaurant was wiped down and the floors, windows and window ledges were dirty. Currently at 5:20pm we are the only guests & still no clean tables. Not enough chicken salad on the sand which & don't get me started on the "side salad" that comes with your meal. Do not, I repeat do not expect good service when ordering with the app. I placed the order 50 minutes ago, I've been standing in the store for 35 minutes, still not ready. I asked why I've seen 6 cars go through the drive through while I've been waiting for an order placed 50 minutes ago, and they said I could go through the drive through but would have to place a new order. For some reason they won't prepare my app order before the drive through orders. Portion sizes have been getting smaller while prices go up. Finally got it an hour and 5 minutes later. *AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS* This place is seriously mismanaged...even pre-COVID it was a hot mess, and it's only gotten worse. Major issues: 1. Super unsanitary. A few days ago, I watched the cashier (Ashley) handle bread loaves to slice using the same pair of gloves she was using at the register, iPad, fixing her hair, etc. When I asked her to use new gloves she ROLLED. HER. EYES. at me. I mean, that's gross anytime but especially during a global pandemic? Yuck. 2. Moldy food (see picture). I know, so gross. 3. Super long wait times, even when you order ahead. The drive thru usually takes at LEAST 30 minutes to get through...even with only a few cars in line! Not worth it. 4. Food running out at all times of day...how do you run out of rolls at 9:00AM? The real treat is when you've waited 30 minutes in the line and AT THE WINDOW they tell you they've run out of many things you ordered. This has happened to us way too many times, so it's safe to assume it's just the norm here. This location is just a disaster and has been for at least the past two years. The employees are rude and not friendly, probably because they hate working there. I've reached out to Kneaders' corporate office to loop them in to what is going on at this location, but it's very evident that they just don't care. I have gone here happily for as long as this location has been open. But in the last few weeks I've been disappointed twice. First time was soon after they made changes to their menu. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Avocado SALAD. There was literally HALF AS MUCH TURKEY AND BACON AND THE PRICE HAD GONE UP CONSIDERABLY from what it was before. Today I ordered a Turkey Bacon Avocado SANDWICH. This time there was LITERALLY NO BACON OR TURKEY...NONE! I didn't discover it until I drove home, so I called them. A voice came on immediately telling me my call was important and they'd be with me in just a minute. THAT MESSAGE REPEATED EVERY 2 minutes followed by continual ringing FOR A TOTAL OF 25 MINUTES THROUGH 4 attempts! NADA!! So next time I go by, I'll take them a picture of my sandwich and show them my call log. Basing a review for any establishment should be made on 1. their food 2. Their service 3. Cleanliness And NOT your current cause-du-jour or your attitude when there. I don't care about the rewards program -- I care about their food. Kneaders is always good, always fresh -- yes, it takes a minute for them to make your order because they prepare per order. Where else can you get a real turkey (not deli sliced) sandwich on bread made that morning? Their soups are great and I love their bakery selections. Love the pumpkin bread! I have always loved the food at Kneaders but the service has gone way down. I went inside to order because the line of cars was very long. I ordered a bowl of soup with wheat bread to go. My friend had surgery, so I thought he would like that. I waited 20 minutes when I finally asked another employee for my order. He did it really quick and I was on my way. When I got out of the car, I looked in the bag and there was the bowl of soup but no bread. What? Are you kidding me? The girl who took my order had family in the restaurant and when they got to the counter, she took about 15 minutes with their order while a woman stood behind them for probably 5-7 minutes. Employees were running around not looking to see what was needed in another area. For instance, the lady doing the drive-thru orders just walked around and talked to her teen-age daughter who came in for free drinks. I am so frustrated and disappointed. I've had a $15 gift card someone stuck me with for about two years. Since this new store opened nearby, I decided to use it a few days ago. Today, knowing the card SHOULD have a few dollars left on it, I stopped by to get some lunch. I took it out of my purse with the receipt still wrapped around it, and saw that on my previous visit the cashier had pulled all of the value from the card! It wasn't very much, but there is a principle involved. My order total was $11.03, but on the receipt shows a $3.97 tip! Seriously??? We are visiting from out of town. We decided to grab some lunch from Kneaders. The cashier was pleasant and helped us navigate the menu. My husband requested a specific smoothie. They were out however the manager, Eric happen to overhear and offered another smoothie suggestion. While waiting for our food. The manager came out and chatted with us. Such a pleasant guy. Our sandwiches were delicious, as was the smoothie and cookies. I don't know exactly the force behind your decline, but you've gotten worse than the last time I visited... and that was bad. My hope was that you had fixed your issues since the pandemic, that is long over, but no! Today, you were out of pumpkin bread, fry bread, croissants, chocolate domes, rye bread, and cannoli's. No one informed us that the "raspberry tart" that we ordered wasn't the regular tart size, but a mini one bite thing. Our server was obviously not listening, as we had to repeat our order 3+ times and she STILL got it wrong. And then the sandwiches we did get? Lousy! When I order an avocado sandwich, I expect more than 4 tiny slimy slices on the entire sandwich. My MIL's only had three tiny chunks. One side was missing avocado altogether. My sandwich was mostly wet lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. I was also missing the generous portion of Dave's sauce that used to be a feature of my sandwich. See photo. Service was terrible. we arrived at around 6:00pm. Only us and the workers were there. They were just standing around. Every table in the place needed to be wiped off. When I asked for a clean table the waitress set down our food and said this one was alright. I said there are crumbs on it. She begrudgingly went back and got a towel and did the worst wipe job I have ever seen I asked her to do it again. She was not happy and again did a sloppy job. Worst service I have ever had. Wow - haven't eaten here in a long time but not long enough. I didn't think it could get any worse but what do you know. First time in drive through- I was the 3rd car and it took about 12 minutes. Not too bad but a bummer for the 6 cars lined up behind me. Tuna sandwich was fine - I asked for no onions but apparently they are mixed in. Would be nice to mention but whatever. I asked for iced tea and was clear about "just black not flavored". I'm not even sure what I got - it was purple and rancid; there was no ice and a very long discussion trying to get some sweetener. So I parked and went inside where there appeared to be no one working out front. Dumped it and got my own refill. Seriously- sell it, get a manager or close your doors. WORST EXPERIENCE!! I've always had a long wait whether it was ordered for delivery or in person at a store location. I recently placed a order tonight on the website and mistakenly entered the incorrect number for contact and missed the apartment number. I've realized once i've opened the confirmation email I received that the information was incorrect and immediately tried contacting the first location in my area then the second as well as the given number in the email. No one answered either of the multiple calls I made. I decided to place another order less than an hour to mins before closing. Luckily the delivery driver for my new order I placed was able to tell the cashier my issue and get me a refund. Very grateful for my Doordasher driver tonight. I wish I didn't have to wait an additional time wait due to being very sick and in need of comfort food. This is very frustrating on my end and probably for the third party involved in delivering my first order. Kneaders truly has great food but the quality of customer service and care is extremely poor! They must really look into the service being provided at the store location for the customers. This issue must be resolved in order to refrain from bad reviews and upset customers. read more

We tried to eat here a couple of weeks ago. We ordered our food in a normal polite exchange, and then I tried to pay in cash, but the cashier informed us that they do not accept $50 bills. I had nothing smaller to pay with. Our meal came out to around $30, so all in all I don't think it was an issue of making change, because all I would have gotten back in change was $20. I asked for clarification, and all the employee could tell me was that they don't accept $50 bills It's the first time in my life that my most basic and solid means of legal tender were refused. Absolutely mind boggling. I guess I won't eat there again because won't take my money? I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, and I'm not trying to be dramatic, but since when was paying in cold hard cash a bad thing? It was one of the most bizarre experiences I've had to date. I've never been made to feel like my hard earned cash wasn't good enough to buy a product, but here I am. Writing this review. And I probably won't be back. I don't wish to be embarrassed and shamed out of buying lunch because I only had cash to pay for it. I would love a response and clarification from the owners or "higher-ups" about this, because I still don't understand why my means of legal tender were refused without a decent explanation. There is something wrong with this Kneaders. We live one mile away on the bike path.... So it's conveniently located. We take just keep trying it. When I order, I say, will you make sure the French toast is hit and syrup warm. They always reply, of coarse. I have yet to have warm French toast on the first try. I take it back and they warm it. Downhill with new Owners IMO. Always been my go to for breakfast croissants, but the last few times it's been Meh. Ordered around 8:30 this morning through the drive thru, was NOT busy at all, no one in front of me either. Waited over 15 mins for a non dairy berry smoothie (they had no ice cream for any other smoothies) a chai tea latte w/ an shot of espresso & whipped cream & breakfast egg, cheese, sausage croissant. They were out of French toast so thank goodness my toddler didn't want that this morning. After waiting 10 mins gave the attendant my card & she wasn't very friendly, waited more then finally got our food. Chai tea was not even close. Literally got luke warm frothed milk with a shot of espresso, croissant was warm-ish but what I received it shouldn't of taken 15 mins to make that's for sure. At least the smoothie was decent. Overall, super sad this place has declined in service & quality. Love me some Kneaders & their food but disappointed one too many times as of late so that's why I did a review finally. Got the hot chicken pesto sandwich, came out cold with exactly one tablespoon of chicken, im not exaggerating, ONE TABLESPOON. Asked for them to remake it and the guy who made it originally, Samuel, gave me the most dirty look, rolled his eyes ,huffed under his breath and then threw down the broom he was holding and said, "fine"! In the most irritated tone I have ever heard. Do NOT want anyone making my sandwich who threw such a fit over poorly making the first one in such an awful way. I got my money back and left. They could definitely do something to speed up their drive thru though but I understand freshness takes time ( but someone coming out with an ipad taking orders wouldn't be a bad idea . Disappointed with the cook during the time I went. Asked for a Frappe, was given an iced latte. They proceeded to tell me that was what I ordered when it wasn't. I let them know I've ordered it several times before and it was nothing like it. After throughly explaining what the Frappe was I wanted (it's on the menu) they were still confused on how to make it or what it even was. So, when I was given a new drink it was still completely different, the ice was also very chunky and watered down.
