Bathroom renovation - tile was put up so badly had to be removed only to find the drywall put up was a complete mess and had to be taken down and redone. All new tile had to be bought. Concrete in shower floor had to be removed as it was not sloped correctly and had to be redone. Paint and trim on walls was not completed although a final invoice was sent. Handle on new faucet fell off broken. No response from company about faucet or peeling paint.

They charged me $550 to install a new collar and seal it. Soon thereafter the leak continued to occur when it rained. I texted Darrin( the person from XL who did the estimate and the work) and told him the leak was not fixed. He indicated that he was out of town but he would get back to me upon return. When he did not, I called and texted numerous more times but got no return call. I finally had another company, American Professional Chimney & Masonry come out. They indicated that the problem was the chase cover which they replaced and that solved the problem. No more leak. XL does not respond or stand by their work even after incorrectly identifying the problem.

However after reading multiple Yelp reviews and sending a private message to a customer and receiving her feedback, I decided to call the company to get an estimate on some projects. Alex immediately emailed me to confirm a day to conduct the estimation and also provided his cellphone number, by texting me. Alex and his staff were very professional and I am super happy with the outcome. I wanted to surprise my parents with renovating their home and I told Alex the timeline. He worked with me to ensure that everything would be completed on time. He is also very knowledgeable, so if you are unsure as to how something would look etc, he will give you an honest opinion. I also felt comfortable working with him because he was easy to get in contact with and very trustworthy. Several projects his team worked on (i've attached pictures) included building a small roof with shingles for the patio area, organizing/ boxing/ moving items into a storage area, landscaping, installing blinds, power washing etc. I would definitely recommend this company since it is quite difficult to find people who you can trust and will work closely with you within budget to accomplish your goals.

After such great service, I hired 495 Home Services a second time to hang a giant banner on the side of my company's building. There were a few structural challenges with mounting the banner, and Alex and Julio troubleshooted every issue that came up and within a couple hours had this banner mounted securely, perfectly centered and level. (And on the hottest and most miserably humid day of the summer, they did it with smiles on their faces.) After the banner I had one more job for 495 Home Services. Mounting a super sized pull down projector screen. Once again, I am wildly thrilled with the fast work and a perfectionists attention to detail that 495 Home Services provides.

I will never ever call this joke of a so called handyman service again as long as I live. They think they can screw you and get away with it. They can do it only once to me.

They quoted me a flat fee for a simple project about replacing hinges and handles on a gate. However, Mike said it would be $350 for one gate (hinges & handle) plus an additional $50 for handle on a second gate. Ok, fair enough. But when the worker finished a few days later, he said the handle on the first gate didn't actually need to be replaced, since now that the hinges held the door up, the handle was actually aligned. I asked him what the price would be now and he didn't have an answer - he wasn't the "invoice guy." So he W-D40'd and we called it a day. He gave me the materials for the handle in case we changed our minds and wanted it fixed later. Unfortunately I did not get his name. Then I got the bill. The second handle was not taken off. I told Mike (the "invoice guy") so and then he called me back, saying the $350 was for the first gate, regardless of whether or not the handle was replaced, and still $50 for the second gate. But hinges + 1 handle = $350, plus 1 additional handle = $400 total - therefore shouldn't the second handle NOT be counted. Of course the bill was not itemized. I am not using this company again.

I just wanted it replaced because it was old as a preventative measure. A lot of roofing companies were trying to tell me either because nothing was wrong with my roof, I should leave it or they were trying to take something that wasn't an issue and blow it up and they were being predatory. I worked with Artem during this process and he was incredibly thoughtful, informative, and patient with me. Due to some changes in my job, I had to travel more than usual and I wasn't able to make a decision on my roof as quickly as I would have hoped. Artem walked me through different options and looked across quotes I had gotten to help me arrive at the right option for my home. He was really honest and didn't try to upsell me anything, which was a huge relief. When it came time for roof day, Artem stopped by a few times to make sure everything was going ok. The team showed up when they were suppose to. they did the final check like they said and sent me pictures. I was a little worried after the roof was replaced that I would get random leaks but honestly it's been a few months and everything is A-ok. Kept us informed quickly of a few unexpected findings…read moreduring prep work that needed additional carpentry, and offered options and performed the fixes. Prep work of Brick house, with wood trim/soffits, was outstanding. (Manual scraping + power washing). Also caulking of any gaps that had occurred since last painting Cleanness was also outstanding, especially given the amount of paint removed during the prep work. Also removed downspouts, etc to paint behind them fully and reinstalled. The sharpness/precision of trim colors was excellent. Clean up was exceptional. I would highly recommend Alberto Contractor services!!!
