Great food with reasonable prices and loved by locals from what we can tell! Service was both fast and friendly.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 12:30pm. There were 4 employees at the front counter , one was mopping the floors, others were chatting. We asked if they were serving at this time, they replied yes, but we cannot sit at the tables since they were cleaning up so we had to wait at the one table by the entrance. While waiting for our other party of 2 to show up (they were parking their car) we asked if we could see the menu. They replied that they did not have menus since the prices changed and have to view the display menu board behind the counter. However the menu was not easily accessible since the tile floor was soaked with water so we had to view it from the entrance door. It was disheartening to experience this type of customer service since we frequently dine here and enjoy the food! This is the first time we experienced such a negative attitude. You have to go to the one in wahiawa, their food is more ono and their staff is super nice. They also get your order ready in minutes...I got the florentine Benedict, pancakes, side bacon and omelette and I waited no more then 5 minutes. They staff also greeted me with a smile and gave me a menu when I walked in and asked if I was ready to order. I'm def going back there again :) read more

Placed a online order came in to pickup then was told I still had to wait 20mins mins to get my order. (Order was placed at 10:18am came in at 11am) I said okay and returned at 11:25am waited in line for them to just say "still working on it" and they just turned around and ignored. Dined in on 6/22/23 for breakfast. We ordered loco moco, corned beef hash breakfast, strawberry pancakes, banana nut pancakes and spam fried rice with bacon on the side. Everything tasted. Loco moco was ok, the burger patty was a bit dry and not sure if they are homemade kind but was edible. Everything else was ono. We enjoyed everything we ordered. You order at the counter before seating. The place gets packed so make sure to grab a table right away. If you are with someone perhaps they can secure a table while you're ordering. The service was friendly and they bring out the food fairly quickly. The food is fresh and hot when they come out. The ambiance is busy, restaurant has tables inside and some outside. Food. We ordered two omelettes. It was just ok. Husband ordered a waffle and it was really dense and chewy. He did not care for it Both our forks broke. The sodas were all flat and yet there's a sign saying don't pour any liquids out at the soda fountain. We ate our Just OK meal with flat sodas. Went here for breakfast today and we decided to order take-out because it looked crowded for dine-in. The cashier was very friendly. I didn't feel like pancakes so I ordered the Traditional Benedict and my friend ordered the Vinha d'alhos. We went outside to wait for our food and a worker brought it out to us in about 15 minutes. The Benedict was very good but I could've used a little more hollandaise sauce for the potatoes, they were kind of hard. Overall the flavor was really good and the egg was perfect. Delicious food at a reasonable price! Located in a strip mall, this somewhat small and basic restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining and plenty of parking in the mall lot. The restaurant was simply decorated with a few pieces of wall art. The vibe was very casual, relaxed and social. Most of the diners appeared to be locals. When we arrived for breakfast at around 9:15 ish, it was busy but we were fortunately seated in the last available open table inside. We ordered at the counter and were assigned a table. The menu had a wonderful selection of breakfast foods (omelette. pancakes, sides, Benedicts, breakfast plates, pancakes, waffles, crepes, French toast, Mocos and sides). We ordered a veggie omelette, a side of potatoes and a Vienna Sausage plate. Our food was brought piece meal in a period of about 20 minutes. Everything was delicious and in huge portion. Plating was simple and on disposable plates paired with plastic utensils. Service was friendly and helpful. Although the line was long on Saturday morning they were able to expedite our order in a reasonable time. It said wait time may be up to 20 minutes but we received our food in a little over 10 minutes. Now I thought everything was good except for the price of a side order of spam. At $6.25 I thought it was highway robbery considering a can of spam is about $3 and you can make 10 slices from a can. Well I don't suggest you order the side order of meats as they are overpriced. I actually really like this place for what it is! Great diner vibes, with great service, great prices and good comfort food! I got the breakfast plate with corned beef hash and substituted for veggie fried rice, my boyfriend got the build a Moco with corned beef hash, we shared a small stack of the pancakes with strawberry and whip cream (on the side) Very rarely do you get good corned beef hash and it was super yummy, I asked for it extra crispy and that's exactly what I got so good! The regular fried rice has pork which I don't eat but they have a veggie fried rice which was amazing! Lots of stir fried veggies inside. My boyfriend LOVED the build a moco, he asked for extra gravy because it was so good. We had to get to go plates because they serve such a generous portion. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I had to try the pancakes because they are a pancake house and they were super fluffy and yummy! Keep in mind the seating is first come first serve! I just hope they had a bad day. This is a review based on two visits: pancakes lack of a better words sucked. Overcooked and fell apart. Both times. Omelette was thinned out egg. Seafood inside was in shambles. Look I used to love this place but they HAD to have changed recipes or something. What happened to the fluffy pancakes fluffy eggs and good taste. Service was excellent they are nice in there. Ambiance meh. Nothing special. Breakfast food done fast and cheap. If you've been on the mainland and been to the Waffle House I'd say very similar vibes- cheap comfort foods done fast. You order first and then find a seat if dining in. Food was just ok but it's fairly cheap so if you're on a budget and still want some island breakfast favorites then look no further. read more

I always love eating there food BUT this establishment is very small and very busy so I always get my food to go . I never have complaints about there food cause it's always good no matter what I order . The only complaint is the lay out while standing in line how small the place is but that's a small price to pay for good food which doesn't bother me . Great take out service, LARGE portions & yummy food. Stopped by to order take out for breakfast, the staff was friendly & food was speedy. Price is extremely reasonable for the amount of food you're getting and pancakes are huge. I chose the banana Mac nut pancakes to go along with my Portuguese sausage plate (with fried rice) and Had to eat it in 2 meals! My mom got the veggie omelet & again huge portion but delicious! I couldn't help but get the hot chocolate as well that come with whipped cream and sprinkles, y'all about bringing you back to your childhood! Made an online order on their website and our food was ready within 10 minutes! Super fast service. Everything was packed nicely, with lots of extra condiments and disposable silverware. The prices are affordable and portions are big. It's a perfect place to eat with a family because they have so much selection for breakfast, ie. breakfast plates with rice, omelettes, waffles, french toast, crepes, and smaller plates for kids. We had a little bit of everything and it all tasted great. Everything was hot and fresh. The Little Bite plates for the kids were perfect portions. Pancakes were delicious and not overly sweet. The breakfast plates came with 2 large scoops of rice that we couldn't even finish. And our eggs and meat were cooked perfectly. I only wish the bacon was a little crispier. We also ordered extra whipped cream that we did not receive. Disappointing, because we had to pay extra for those. FOOD: We ordered the trio breakfast plate, kalbi breakfast plate and a side order of macadamia nut pancakes. All of this was shared between three people and we couldn't finish it between us. The macadamia nut pancakes were underwhelming and the kalbi beef was a bit too fatty for my taste. LOCATION: It's a reasonably-sized diner with plenty of seating. Probably not group-friendly though -- you can't put tables together. SERVICE: You walk up to a register to order and the food is brought out to you. The service was reasonably fast and friendly. My biggest beef with this place is that they serve your food with disposable plates, cups, and cutlery. This makes me very very sad because it looks like a popular place and they must throw away so much every day :( read more

I am a huge fan of Koa! I had an appointment with my doctor and stopped here after. I loved the system that they have in place for seating. I put in my order and she told me which table to sit at to wait for my meal. The food came out without delay and was piping hot. I have a spinach and cheese omelette with red velvet pancakes. This was the best breakfast we had hands down. We wanted something quick and inexpensive. This is it. There is limited indoor dining due to COVID still but you can sit inside. I decided to get the club sandwich with house salad with ranch and a Diet Pepsi. They only had canned drinks since their soda fountain is out of order. Don't know what happened in the past week. My wife and I come here maybe two or three times a month. Today was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Never have I sent food back 3 times. Ordered 2 Kalbi with hash browns and pancakes. You could tell there was a problem with the Kalbi because the entire kitchen and restaurant was filling up with smoke. They had to open the front door to let the smoke out which I thought was odd because you have a hood over the grill. 10 minutes later, only a single order came out. Kalbi looked like it was left over from another plate AND "burned to hell" Should have taken photos). Eggs (ordered over medium) came hard with NO yoke like flat hard boiled eggs. Returned order and asked for a new one. 5 minutes later, the other order I made earlier came out and the Kalbi order looked completely different (thicker and larger pieces) however eggs were completely raw (over easy). Sent the eggs back for a new order. Finally my original order came out, this time eggs were correct but Kalbi was RAW!! Come on guys, this isn't a new restaurant! Maybe it's new cooks or management but today was a absolutely "S$@&" Show! People are paying good money, stop taking advantage. It's getting worse all over with the food and service industry and this place is no exception. I stick to places that I know but this was just a really sad day/event. For $44.00 I want my order, we'll, the way I ordered it! Not close, not semi, but the "WAY" I ordered it. Long story short, returned my Kalbi plate, raw eggs and PANCAKES THAT NEVER CAME! Funny thing is the money comes out of the card immediately, but I was told it could take "2 to 3 days" before I would see it back in my account.
