Interesting how these reviews are all over the place. As there aren't a ton of restaurants nearby that have sushi, thought I would try this spot out. It is located in the cutesy, western style shopping center. The BF ordered the assorted sashimi ($23.50) and my go to as a sushi barometer is the rainbow roll ($15.50). He enjoyed his, and mine was good. I would have liked the fish to be a tad thicker but the rice was on point and it was fresh. We got there shortly before they were going to close so we couldn't linger as long as I would have liked. Lots of seating inside and I would go back to try some of their other menu items! read more

I can't really speak to the ambiance of Kobe sushi, but the food is great! It's always fresh, arrives on time, and shows up presented well. As for service, be called before and they were very pretty gracious and helpful. We order from Kobe Sushi on a regular when there's a taste for sushi and it pretty much receive exactly what we want. I like Sushi and my bride loves tempura. We came here with a friend and the food was okay. I had Korean beef and rice with miso soup and a salad. My wife got the Bento Box with teriyaki chicken. The food was okay the theing that I did not like was the layout of the restaurant which seems disordered and when you sit I never felt like we had privacy to speak. The service was fine and our server did a great job getting our food but I felt like we were rushed and she was busy. I gave this place three stars but I think with a few intentional things like getting the dining room ordered it could be a great place. Here is what I am going to say ... It felt like a fastfood Japanese restaurant in a place that was presenting itself as a regular eatins establishment. Will not be my go to place for Sushi. read more

Absolutely recommend this spot! If you sit at the sushi counter tell Fred he's awesome! We were out having a girls day and business meeting while enjoying the quiet ambiance and yummy food! Happy dancing and jumping for joy that I now have a dining place that offers Korean Bi Bim Bap and other scrumptious delicious Korean dishes within a few miles from home! One of my sisters told us about Kobe Sushi and Fusion a few months ago and I finally went to visit for a pickup to go order! One of my other sisters was visiting for the weekend and mentioned how our sister brought her leftovers home last time she was visiting and how she was craving the spicy octopus.... OH YES!!! I had completely forgotten that our sister told us about this place when she came for her wedding anniversary months earlier! How did That happen! The Bi bim bap was perfection with plenty of veggies and added tofu. The portion large enough with a generous amount that I was able to enjoy for a second meal the next day! I did make a sunny side up egg to add for my second meal. The octopus was not as spicy as my sister would have liked so next time she is going to ask for extra spicy. The texture and flavor was perfect and we enjoyed together! Everything we ordered was perfect and the energy of the place is warm, friendly and beautiful. Ok, so I realize during the whole Covid situation that restaurants had to charge more and or decrease their portions, but that's over. This place is still over charging for the smallest roll ever. And, there 'famous' Rainbow Roll which I was craving was just meh. If it was a discounted lunch special I might have given this place a little grace. But, no. This was overly full charge and I was given just a small, slightly good version of what I know this place is capable of. I'm very disappointed in their changes. We got to the restaurant early, and our waitress was very attentive. We shared a plate of tempura and another of fish & chips. The fish was outstanding! It seems to be coated in the tempura batter and was flaky on the inside and crispy on the outside. There was enough food we didn't even eat the French fries ( took them home and air fried them for a different meal). We usually come here for sushi and the spicy honey chicken, but I'll be keeping their delicious fish and chips in rotation! read more

OK, so this review is not about the food because the food here is very good. This review is about what happened to me and I just discovered it through my bank account. This person who served us will definitely remember me I received my drink in an old giant cup. I asked if I could get a different cup because I'm a maze fan true sports fan will appreciate this she said no I'll have to put it in a different cup and I will have to charge you for refills. I then stated it's OK. I do not need any more Coke Well at the end of the night my bill was $70. The food was great like always I like to tip in cash and I think I gave her a very good tip. I gave her three5 dollar bills which is a $15 tip because my wife felt that I was a bit rude about the A's giant cup Thing. Well I just looked at my bank statement and she added another $15 to her tip. I'm very disappointed in the service that this server felt that she needed to get a $30 tip on a $70 bill. We will not visit this establishment again and I will definitely be going in and saying something to them about what has happened. I do not appreciate that. Enter at your own risk Mind you the food is very good here. I just choose not to do this because it's my personal preference. read more

The Kobe roll is fantastic sweet spicy, shrimp is a little spooky on the plate haha. The vibe of the building is just nice, though it was pretty slow. And the best part of the experience Kevin our server, kind, joking, and just one of the best servers I've had in a decent time. read more

The food SUCKED and is over priced. I had the udon soup, it literally had 3 very small pieces of chicken to thin slices of carrot and one piece of broccoli, my wife had a bento box and the salmon was about as thin as a piece of paper.! We will most DEFINITELY NOT BE BACK.... read more

First time I've been here. It was really enjoyable. Friendly service, good food and prices are a little high but reasonable. I love traditional sushi but it was a cold rainy night so I wanted something warm. I ordered the baked scallop roll and it was delicious! The scallop portions were impressive and actual scallop not "scallop salad mix " like many other sushi restaurants use. I also had a hamachi hand roll and it was wonderful, again with a good portion of fish. My only recommendations would be that they offer some "Daily Specials" and a Happy Hour. Also, while they offered several soft shell crab options I did not see any rolls of anything that included real crab. I definitely like to go here again but would be more likely to go for a Happy Hour option! read more

In a past we went there few times but always the same problem: even though is not busy you do wait by a door/podium to be seated, you are in luck if they bring a menu the same time , loooong time for a server to finally come by, you get a drinks and again looong time for a server to come to take an order, food takes time but it's all good if is good yes? First time here and did not disappoint!! Total mom and pop hole in the wall, no fancy decor, and the one and only waitress was working her butt off, but the food was worth it!!!! Everything we had was delicious! We had the baked green mussels, Camino roll, rainbow roll, edamame, unagi nigiri, miso soup, avocado cucumber maki for my daughter, and the hamachi carpaccio was so good that we ordered a second plate of it! Great place and FAMILY-OWNED! I strongly support a good restaurant that is LOCAL and FAMILY-ORIENTATED! They are full of love! I personally LOVE THEIR CALAMARI AND THEIR LAKE TAHOE AND THE VALENTINE! Great sushi for the area! As fresh as I've had in coastal towns. Only real setback is that the nigiri fish portion could be bigger. We'll certainly be back to try more of the rolls. read more
