Options are simple -- bowl, taco, burger, or burritos...chicken, pork, or beef. I ordered the spicy pork bowl and wow, was it good! Not overly spicy but full of great flavor. It was served in a bowl over sticky rice and cabbage. I also sampled the chicken and beef --- both very good as well w/great flavors. I actually have a hard time choosing between the chicken and pork. The food is fresh and full of flavor! If you don't like spicy food, the pork would not be the option for you....I'd also ensure you ask for no jalapenos on the tacos. I've read that others thought the gochu sauce was either too spicy or too much was placed on their dish -- mine was perfect and the sauce is not spicy, just adds flavor. They have online order option available through Yelp, which we did and got our food delivered. The food was still hot when it arrived. They ended up forgetting the extra gochu sauce that was ordered for some of the dishes....we called and they immediately addressed it and said they'd send someone to bring the sauce. They not only delivered the sauce but they also included some extra tacos to make it right. What incredible service!! You definitely won't be disappointed with this place and definitely 5-star worthy -- not only for the food but for the service as well! This place isn't as good as I expected it to be after checking Yelp. The spicy pork is delicious but everything else I could either take or leave... First of all, their menu changed so you no longer get 2 tacos for $3 - you only get 1. That means you're spending $10 if you want 3 tacos & NOTHING ELSE. The (beef) meat is so juicy that it actually made my burrito tortilla slimy which in turn really grossed me out. Next time I'd get a bowl to avoid that. I've never had Korean bbq so I don't have anything to compare this to which may be why I'm disappointed. I'd return for a weekday lunch because it's close to work but it's not a place I'd crave or seek out. read more

I recently learned about a new Korean place on Ulmerton and decided to check it out. It is located next to a gun store but don't let that scare you away (if that sort of thing does). Here are my ratings based on different criteria: Quality of food: Good. I had the spicy pork burrito. It came with white rice, cabbage, cheese, and their spicy sauce called "Gochu sauce." The tortilla wrap could have been cooked a little bit longer and the cabbage sliced a little thinner but the pork was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I wouldn't call the burrito spicy by any measure though. Their special sauce was tasty and pulled all the flavors together. My friend ordered 3 tacos with chicken and pork. He had to get some extra jalapenos as the "spicy pork" tacos were again not spicy at all. There was also not an option of getting beef, pork, and chicken in a single bowl which I noticed some of the customers requesting. Decor: nothing to see really. The walls are all yellow and the place looks very closed off. The only window is at the front entrance. The walls are covered with pictures of food from their menu which is a little bit awkward. Some pictures of Korea would be nice. Cleanliness: okay. Although all the tables and floor were kept clean, the unisex bathroom did not smell so good. Service: Quick. The cashier welcomed us as we entered and quickly took our order. She brought the food to us with a smile. Speed of food preparation: Quick. Our food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Price: typical. Being a hole-in-the-wall type of a place, the price wasn't as cheap as I was expecting. The $7 burrito was on the smaller end. Each of the tacos were around $3. Kogi Grill is good for quick Korean fast food type of a meal. They're lacking some basic Korean dishes such as Bulgogi and Bibimbap. read more

Heard about this place from some coworkers so decided to try it out and WOW YUM! I could tell just from walking in they were a fan favorite. Counter was stacked with to go orders and there were 3 other parties ahead of me. I got the regular sized bowl with half pork half chicken sooo good! They asked how many sauces I wanted and I just took one but next time I'll get 2 cause it was delicious. Grabbed a quick lunch here. The reviews seemed decent so gave it a try. I'm not going to say I was disappointed as I didn't know what to expect. I will say that I'm not sure how the reviews were so fantastic. This wasn't an "out of this world" experience for me. Nothing was inherently bad, everything was just sorta mediocre. The service was friendly and quick. The food was fresh and mostly warm (my friend egg was cold already). The prices were....wow. Not super for what was served. I thought it was on the pricey side. It's a decent place but nothing to go out of your way for. In fact, if I were to choose between this and the place on the left end of the business complex, I'd likely go back to the other place first. Don't get me wrong, this place is pretty good. Many of my coworkers recommended Kogi so I decided to give it a try. The food is warm and fresh, with pretty generous portions. I got a large chicken bowl, which was pretty good but just lacked a bit of flavor. The chicken itself is marinated and juicy, but the rest of the bowl was just plain rice with hardly any sauce on it. Just wish maybe it came with some sauces on the side, especially given the price of the bowls. It was $35 for two large bowls after tax and tip (I know restaurants are struggling right now with inflation and supply shortages so I can't blame them for this). Mmm...delicious, indeed! We found this place thanks to Yelp while in the area, and we're very pleased with the discovery. I ordered the large Chicken Bowl, which was a generous portion and I believe around $12.50. The flavor was good, though not spicy at all. I do wish there were more vegetables included as the cabbage got lost with all the rice and meat and was barely noticeable. I ate half and saved the rest for a second meal. My boyfriend got the Taco Trio - a beef taco, chicken taco, and pork taco. He was very happy with all three and wishes we lived closer. I think it's a good thing we don't live anywhere near here...we would be here all the time and my blood pressure surely couldn't handle it! My only negative is that the dining area wasn't particularly clean. The only table available (as an employee was set up with his tablet at the other one) clearly hadn't been wiped in a while and I felt dirty eating there. I'm going to give it a five because it's a yelp review and there wasn't anything bad about the food. Had the spicy pork burrito. Pork didn't really taste like Daeji Bulgogi. Rice was like fried rice with maybe a soy base? No Kim chi bokkeum like you might expect. Marinade didn't taste particularly Korean, like it woulda been nice with some samjang or heavy garlicky/oniony elements throughout the dish. Nothing really popped or was familiar to my tastes. It didn't really have any Korean character and it didn't really have Mexican/texmex character you might expect from a carne asada. It was a mushy savory filling that was almost cheesy? Tasty but it wasn't what I expected. Not sure what the Kogi sauce is but I think it's a cream based with maybe some gochujang? Really creamy. Tortilla was crispy and nice though. I wouldn't come here again cause you have Dooriban five miles away that charges the same as they do here or you can go across the bridge to Tampa and get the several options there. But I think this place would appeal to someone with different expectations from a place labeled Korean BBQ. read more

Came here on a weekday around 11:45am and all tables were taken while the front counter was filled with take out order receipts. By the time my food came out, I was able to get a table. Throughout my meal, there was no end to the stream of take out orders coming in. This place is popular, and with good reason! Because of this though, it took our food quite a bit of time (25 min), so make sure to order ahead! I got the Bibimbap with chicken and my friend got the Kogi Beef Bowl. Both were so very good! The Bibimbap felt healthy and wasn't doused in any kind of sauce. The flavor of the chicken reminded me of the teriyaki chicken at the Japanese place in every mall food court (as in it was delicious). Both bowls had just the right amount of meat to rice and veggies ratio. There is no doubt I will be back again. They used to be awesome. My go to was always the Pork Burrito. Chunks of pork, rice, cheese, jalapeños, and veggies all in their amazing sauce. The Burrito was properly stuffed and pressed on the grill. Sadly, it's recently changed. No proper pressing, more rice than meat and not enough sauce.(they do give you extra on the side though). I now have to add the option for additional meat just to hope to get enough pork. I prefer they go back to the way it was and charge more. We all know food cost has gone up, so I expect a price increase. I don't expect to get less meat and more rice. I'll try again in a few weeks and if all good, I will update my post. read more

This restaurant was a little quick eats establishment with a korean- Mexican fusion. What an interesting duo! The meat was tender and flavorful and their signature sauce is addicting! The hotels just come with rice, your choice of meat, jalapenos, and green onions. This is a pretty simple combo and I wish it had a bit more variety. The bibimbap comes with all the fixings and so although the beef in this bowl wasn't as flavorful as the spicy pork, I think I preferred this item. You have 2 bowl sizes to choose from, regular or large. And while the large is pretty large, it's also very shallow so seems a bit overpriced at nearly $20. In the sitting area, they have a TV that plays kpop and is honestly kind of difficult to look away! I only wish they had at least one more TV so that everyone can watch. Overall, I thought this place was delicious, but would love to see more reasonable prices, more variety, and some minor enhancements to the ambiance and it could easily get to 5 stars for me! read more
