5 stars one of the best in the suburbs for Korean fried chicken in my opinion. Korean fast casual restaurant that serves up: bibimbop, kimchi fries, corn dogs, and Korean fried chicken. The service is very friendly and nice. The place is small, clean. and well maintained. I love the crunchy texture and flavorful chicken wings!

It was my first time eating a Korean corn dog. It's hard to go wrong with cheese and hot dog but it is not something I'd ever crave or order myself again. It was super crunchy but it would've been better if the entire dog was half cheese and half hot dog. Instead, the first several bites were all cheese and the last half was the hot dog. And the hot dog wasn't good. I also had the kimbap but it was lacking on flavor and in the bulgogi beef and seaweed wrap.

This is the type of place that will put you in a food coma. We got the Korean corn dog, kimchi fries, bibimbap, strawberry lychee green tea, and mango lychee lemonade, and everything was delicious! Corn dog with spicy mayo: 10/10 huge corn dog, crispy, served hot, melty cheese, spicy mayo compliments the corn dog well Kimchi fries: 10/10 my favorite thing we had - spicy pork, crunchy fries, fresh kimchi, well seasoned Bibimbap 8/10: definitely recommend getting it in the stone bowl to crisp up the rice at the bottom, very standard bibimbap with refreshing vegetables The space is quite small with only a few tables to dine in. You order at a user friendly kiosk and are able to customize your food. Service was really fast and friendly. Huge portions. Highly recommend this place overall!

The menu offered so many tempting options that we couldn't resist trying a variety of dishes on our first visit. The Korean hotdog was definitely the highlight--so tasty that I'm still thinking about it weeks later. The bibimbap was good, but I wished it had a bit more flavor, and the tuna kimbap, while enjoyable, also felt like it was missing something. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. Next time, I'm excited to try the kimchi fries and a few other items. Overall, Kogii Kogii Express is a solid spot, and I'll be back and recommending it to others.

Street food always hits the spot! It's my version of comfort food! Kogii Kogii did not disappoint! Located in a strip mall there is ample parking available!m. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside..they have multiple patio tables available. Thanks to a Yelp Community Event I was able to try their Korean Corn Dog and Korean fried chicken wings with my kiddos. In addition we ordered japchae, kogii fries, Bibimbap bowl, and boneless wings. Ok we might have gotten too excited and over ordered but we really wanted to try all the things...and besides we're A-OK with leftovers! The japchae had a nice healthy amount of bulgogi in it which we appreciated...other places tend to skimp on the meat. The Korean corn dog was delish and also recommend getting it topped with ketchup, spicy Mayo, and sugar...such a nice combination of sweet, sour, very slight spice. Wings we had both bone in and boneless were fried perfectly. We had the garlic soy flavor and it was very good. For the bibimbap bowl you get to select your toppings from the fresh topping area...up to 12 toppings so you can load it as much or as little as you would like!!! Pro tip...since everything is made to order...I recommend ordering ahead either by calling in or online. Pro tip #2 they do have a Monday-Friday happy hour special for the bibimbap bowl...get it and go ahead and add on the fried egg (it's extra) but definitely makes the bowl amazing!

This was my first time trying Korean fried chicken and I was NOT disappointed! Kogii is a quick spot for some delicious Korean food in the Naperville area. The service at Kogii was spectacular, with incredibly helpful staff giving you recommendations and helping you through the menu if it's your first time trying Korean food. There's some indoor seating as well as outdoor seating so it's perfect for summer time hang outs! Their sweet and spicy Korean chicken wings are SOOOOO GOOD, you guys!! They're soooo crispy and the perfect mix of flavors!! I was obsessed, I'll definitely get 2 orders next time! The Korean corn dog that I got had half cheese and half sausage. The crispiness on the outside was amazing but it was a little too cheesy for me. If you're a cheese lover, definitely try it out! Overall, it was an amazing experience! I would definitely go back for the wings and try other flavors next time! Can't wait to try their bowls too!

Located in a busy area of Napervilles corporate section that specializes in grilled Korean meats such as Spicey Pork,Teriyaki Chicken,Fried Tofu and Marinated Rib-Eye (Bulkogii) accompanied by Create your Own Bibimbap Bowls combining meat,rice and fresh ingredients. We tried their Korean Dog which was basically a corn dog with either mozzarella cheese or beef hotdog dipped in a delicious batter and then topped with either sugar,ketchup or Spicey mayo. I elected to skip the topping and had the mozzarella dog that was so tasty,not greasy and full of flavor. Their batter is delicious. I also had their 10 piece jumbo Korean Fried Wings. These were some of the best wings I ever had! Topped with either a Soy Garlic sauce ( Which I wish they bottled) or a Sweet Chili. The wings were juicy,not greasy and so flavorful. I have to go back for more! Kogii Kogii Express is a winner!

This place is DELICIOUS! It's a small family owned business and they were crazy packed when we got there. I LOVE seeing small businesses thrive like this =) This was the first time I've had Korean fried chicken and a Korean corn dog and I was blown away. Why didn't I know about these things years ago?! This place does a great job with both those items - the corn dog's batter is out of this world. The dough was fluffy, moist and fried/baked to perfection. I tried the corn dog with half cheese and half sausage and I wish I would have gotten all cheese. I HATED the sausage part of it however the cheese?! All day, everyday. Game on haha. I don't like corn dogs to begin with so I had very low expectations... I'm VERY happy I gave this a try because I am hooked. The jumbo chicken wings were equally as delicious. Juicy, lots of flavor and cooked with so much love. I really enjoyed the food from here and plan on coming back again soon. When my future hubs and I got there we were told there would be an hour wait (no problem). I personally think it's great to see that a small business is thriving to the point where their kitchen is backed up. Now... I understand as a customer that can be frustrating and I totally agree but again, I understand. They did run out of items on their menu so that can be a bummer as well. Apparently we ordered just in time, phew! We did go on the weekend and the person at the cashier had mentioned that weekends are always busy for them. Seating is limited, maybe fits 20 at max. There also is outdoor seating as well. Oh! They do have a bathroom which was helpful since we got there after attending a brew fest... oops

Great Korean food that's fresh and well portioned. The service is prompt, they bring the food out to the table you're seated at and order can be placed by using the kiosk. It has both indoor and outdoor seating that is covered. The music is more K-pop and keeps the vibe of the place going.

It's been a while since I've been to Kogii Kogii. A few things have changed and for the better! They have a lunch special Tues-Fri 11 am - 2 pm for 5 PCs jumbo chicken wings with rice, fried egg, 2 dumplings, and a soda for $14 is a good deal. I saw there's a happy hour (3-5 pm) special on bibimbap for $6.99 too, so I'm gonna have to check that out. They have Korean corn dogs now and they're good! Pricing on the rest of the menu is very competitive. This is my go to place for cupbap/bibimbap now.

I haven't been back since recently and everything is still good as it was before! I think there menu changed just a tad bit but you can't go wrong with the menu options. We got the boneless garlic soy 10/10 -- the chicken was so juicy! The breading was a great ratio and wasn't thick. It has a great crunch to it and the flavor was really good. Classic bowl 10/10 -- so good! We added a lot of veggies and it was super refreshing and light. Spicy Rice Cakes 9/10 -- I added all the additives that came with it, cheese, ramen, and bulgogi. It wasn't as spicy but it was flavorful! Adding all three definitely made it hard to finish haha the rice cakes were cooked to perfection as well. Overall, the food was good! Right when you walk in, the seating is first come first serve. There isn't much seating but it's great for a small party of 4. They do have high chairs as well for kids but it's a little tight. Service was great overall! Food came out in a mannerly time and they communicated through it too!

We were so happy to find this quick eats comfort food Korean restaurant in this area. The restaurant has tables in the front with of course Korean music videos playing in the background and the kitchen in the back. They do have bathrooms in the back for their customers. It's in a busy area of other restaurants and stores but we were able to find parking close by. You go up to the cashier and pay first and we waited at one of the tables for the food. They offer free cucumber infused water and barley tea. The food came out quickly and were large portions for a good price! We had 3 entrees to share plus a can of soda and the total was about $40. Between two people we had enough food to take home. We got the cupbap with Bulgogi which had white rice, noodles, fried egg and the Bulgogi beef, and the stand out for me was actually the noodles! We also got the spicy rice cakes with ramen and the boneless fried chicken in garlic soy sauce with 10 pieces which were large sized which came with fries and a can of soda included. The garlic soy sauce was addictive! If we're in the area we will definitely come back to try more of their food.

Ok we were there on a Friday at 5.45pm. When we got in, we were told the wait was going to be an hour and that they had run out of most of their menu items and only wings were left. Let me repeat, this was at 5.45pm on a Friday. I did my order and went back to collect it at 6.55pm. I was here a year ago and absolutely enjoyed it, however the chicken is no longer as good, did I still enjoy it ? Yes however I would go back to bonchon the next time I want some fried chicken. Japchae was absolutely not worth the order. The place was clean, plenty of parking in the area, free cucumber water is served , servers are trying their best and that was appreciated.

My family had a great meal here on a Saturday night. We were the only ones dining in, but several take out orders came in while we were there. We shared the wings with spicy Seoul sauce. They were amazing! So crispy and lots of meat. I had the spicy rice cake, something I'd never had before. It was so unique and filling. My son had the kimchi fries and loved them, he didn't want to share. The other two ordered bibimbap bowls, they were surprised on how much food was in there. Friendly employees and a basic dining area. It was hard to decide what to order because it all sounded good. We all left with full bellies. We wish we lived closer! read more

I'm soooooo glad I came back here after doing the Yelp event for it about a month ago! The food was just as amazing and fresh as it was the first time! Now, you order your food using a kiosk which made for a faster experience and of course the service is still wonderful because the woman at the register still came to ask if I needed any help with ordering. There are several seating options both indoors and outdoors and the ambiance is very simple and comfortable. I will forever come back to this place to try even more things on the menu! read more

Came here a few times over the last few years! I came with a friend to order a light meal, and was actually very surprised that the kimchi fries came out so loaded. It was delicious and definitely super filling & wasn't the light meal we were looking for but that's fine. The corn dogs didn't have as many options for customization as other places which was a little disappointing but it still tasted really good. The cheese strangely had a faint smell of yogurt though, but didn't feel bad afterwards so I think it's safe. I'm giving 4 stars because the place was a little messy, and made the place feel smaller with all the boxes lining the back hallway. My parents were talking about this restaurant before I came to town and they told me that they wanted to bring me to try it out. Therefore, we came by for an early dinner around 5 PM on a Monday night. We specifically came at that time to partake in their Happy Hour bimbimbap special for $5.99. I ordered the bimbimbap with bulgogi and we also had an order of the fried chicken and kimchi fries. The ordering of the bimbimbap was very simple (you choose your protein and five veggies from the counter) as was the taste. It was good but there was nothing too amazing about it. However, it does hit the spot if you're craving some fast Korean food. The fried chicken was also surprisingly good - the chicken inside was moist and there was a good amount of sauce on top of the crispy skin. I think because I'm so used to the fried chicken in NYC coming with a small side of pickled daikon so I was kind of sad these didn't come with that because they would have been a great addition to the dish. Finally, the kimchi fries were also yummy. Everything mixed well together. I would have liked for the fries to be a little bit more crispy and fresh but apart from that it was good! Service was also great. You go up to the counter to order and clean up after yourself when you're done so you don't really interact with the staff members that much but with the amount I did - there were no complaints. All in all, a solid spot for quick and affordable Korean food. read more

I LOVE Kogii Kogii. It's one of my favorite places! I hadn't been in a while and saw they made some changes on the menu so I decided to check it out. Their bibimbap was as delicious as always, and so were their bulgogi fries! I tried one of the new(?) Korean corn dogs, a half and half, which was AMAZING! The cheese in the inside was not liquidy or oily at all. It was sooo tasty and flavorful. I will be back more often. read more

When entering Kogii Kogii, you place your order on a self-order kiosk where you decide if it's take out or eating in. There's about 6 tables that each seats 4, so space is a bit on the small side but there's additional seating outside. It's been pretty busy with customers coming in and out to order or pick up food. The employees are friendly. The Korean corn dogs were a hit with my two boys. I enjoyed the crispy Korean Fried Chicken. The portion size on that was huge! It comes with 12 pieces and I was expecting smaller pieces of chicken, so definitely it's enough to share around. My husband and teenaged daughter both ordered their own cupbap customized to their liking. Only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars was because of the amount of time we waited for our food. But don't let that stop you from coming in, my boys were just impatiently hungry! read more

Food was delicious. Arrived after a hour of it being open and they were already out of batter for corn dogs. Wait for the rest of our food was a hour. I would say the wings are worth the wait. Had both the boneless And the traditional. Beef bulgolgi was great too! Very small restaurant with limited seating but there are tables outside as well. Was given a small mozzarella corn dog and a small sausage corn dog after we got our food, it was good, but basically a large mozzarella stick. The sausage corn dog was better. read more

There was a lot of hype around the Korean wings at Kogi Kogi, so I decided to check it out. The wings were pretty good, if they were cooked a bit crispier, they would have been right up there with other restaurants in Chicago. I also ordered some of the tacos and they were also decent, there are better restaurants in Chicago, but this will suffice as a venue for the suburbs. Best, Charlie read more

First time today I only wanted an order of the Korean wings to-go. There were only 2 people waiting ahead of me. I couldn't believe when she told me it would be a 30 minute wait, but I don't live close so I waited...ugh! I got the soy - garlic with a side of sassy. 10 average sized wing halfs for $12. I can't get over the price of wings anymore. Before I left I took a bite to taste them fresh. They are very good! Very crispy outside...good flavor. I don't think any wings are worth over a dollar a piece. That aside I would rank them in my top 5. BWW is at the very bottom...yuk. I purchased these Korean Corn Dogs for take out and they were so good! I got them both filled with mozzarella. They were super fresh and delicious! The one on the left is topped with a spicy mayo and the one on the right is coated in sugar! These were a lot larger than I was expecting and I'm so happy to find a place that offers these on the menu! I will definitely be back and plan to invite some of my friends to come with me! This was my first visit to this establishment, which means this is an evaluation in process. I ordered the bimbimbap with fried rice and bulgolgi. Now the bimbimbap was nicely prepared and tasted just ok imo largely because the bulgolgi was not dry, but not juicy either. The boneless Korean Fried Chicken with the spicy sauce was really good, fresh and hot. I ordered when I arrived and the nice young lady told me 10 min and said she would bring it to my car. After seeing Koji Koji Express in Naperville on Instagram, we came to check it out. Honestly we were convinced it must be good because it was so packed, but we almost left. So glad we didn't...we would have missed out on the most amazing dinner...wings, bulkogii bowl, Kimchi fries, and the Korean corn dog. The wings were huge, crispy and had great flavor -- we had the sweet and spicy sauce. The corn dog is craveable. We can't wait to go back...worth the hour + drive from NW Indiana. I hadn't been here in a few years so decided to call in an order for pickup. The lady on the phone wanted my credit card number, which is a little unusual but not unheard of, so I went through that. She then told me that my card was declined and i needed to give her another one. Uh, no! I said the card is not expired, it worked fine the other day and I would pay when I came in (half expecting that to be the end of the transaction, but she said ok and the food would be ready in 15 minutes.) Sure enough, when I went in I ran the card and it was just fine. :/ Their menu is much broader than in the past and now includes ramen, udon, Korean style corn dogs and other stuff in addition to the fried chicken, bibimbap and dumplings. I got the garlic soy wings again which were tasty but decidedly unhealthy (super fried and dripping with sauce). My friend mentioned that he has tried the steamed dumpljngs and liked them for something different. I would like to try the tempura udon (harder to find around here than ramen without trucking out to Arlington Heights to Mitsuwa) but next time would definitely go in and order rather than call ahead, given this experience. read more

I don't care if it's fast food. Finally there's Korean in my vicinity. Korean that's actually Korean and not some kind of version sold at Chinese restaurants. No more trekking far to get my fix. I always order the Bibimbap in stone pot with bulgogi. Marinated beef with a pile of pickled vegetables served on rice made crispy from the hot stone bowl. There's just never a bad day for that. While I've had more flavorful bulgogi and a larger selection of vegetables than they offer here, it still has me coming back regularly. Kimchi Fries. Oh, yes. Yes, yes, yes. Order those. Pretty slow service. It's a 1-2 wo(man) show and when there's a crowd, it really does move slowly. Plus parking in that lot is freaking redic. Our family had our first dining out experience in months today here! There are some tables outside and the staff made us feel safe and accomodated. The cashier has a plexiglass screen; she wore a mask; they had cleaning products at the ready to clean tables, and hand sanitizer available. Okay, now the food. Simply - we ordered a lot - Kojii fries, garlic soy wings, dumplings, and a bulkojii burrito. Everything we ate was INSANELY GOOD. Cooked to perfection, great portions, absolutley delicious. Our kids are 4 & 8 and us parents are well seasoned in global dining and we were all so happy. We had literally no complaints. My husband is now saying those wings are his favorite ever - also they were huge! Crunchy, sweet, a hint of spicy .... We are so going back and trying more. Why did we wait so long to go here??? We came here for lunch. First, the good... Lots of parking! There is a good selection for a "fast food" Korean restaurant. The service is fairly quick. Now for the not so good... We ordered the Galbi rice plate and the Bulgogi rice plate. The Galbi was very good. However, it wasn't worth $14.99. We thought $9.99 would have been more fair. The Bulgogi was quite bland compared to Bulgogi I've tasted elsewhere. This lunch dish cost $9.99. I'm thinking $7.99 would have been more fair for a lunch plate. Food was excellent! Ordered the bulgogi fries, Korean corn dogs, Korean fried chicken, and bibimbap. I would definitely come back here for the food and the order screen made it very easy and clear on what you are ordering. The restaurant is on the small side but they moved people through quite well when we went on an early Sunday evening. Listening to K-pop on the tv was fun as well! read more

From the initial planning session with Tara to selecting the menu and then finalizing the details prior to the event, everything was absolutely perfect. The menu that we chose included many crowd favorites and was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed lunch and mingling on the enclosed patio. Our servers, Morgann and Brianna were so attentive and kept an eye on everything including the timing, any refills and all of our guests needs. We all had a wonderful time and our mother can't stop smiling from such a wonderful event. Thank you Vai's!

I cannot say more than all of their food is delicious. The meat is great and fresh, the buffet veggies are tasty, and the extras they offer (sesame balls, spring rolls, etc.) are a nice touch! This one's building looks like a beautiful lodge. While there is an online Yelp waitlist (that goes up to 6 people), we had a party of 8 so I called the restaurant and they were happy to put my name down for a reservation. We came to celebrate my dad's birthday. We brought a cake to share, and when we arrived, our server was gracious enough to store it in the fridge until we were ready. We had 6 adults and 2 kids. Kids under a certain height (I forget the details exactly) are free. So we didn't have to pay for the little ones, and not like toddlers appreciate hot pot anyway. It was more, "how do we make sure they don't touch the pot?!" which went totally fine. It's to position the high chairs the furthest away from the knobs/hot surfaces. On our end of the table, we got the half-half broth of classic marrow and the gold cabbage marrow. The golden marrow was SO GOOD. I would get this again and again, because it's hot/sour; the flavor of pickled cabbage and the spice of Szechuan peppercorns. Our server said the spice builds over time, and it did. It was so flavorful that I barely used my dipping sauce. If you like hot/spicy and sour, choose this broth, it is DELICIOUS. The sauce station and the prepared food buffet was located in the middle-back of the dining area. It's a little packed and cozy in there, especially during the dinner rush, you may need to wait a little longer or keep an eye on the area to determine when to get out of your seat. This same area has self-service personal ice cream cups, soda, additional toppings/veggies/proteins, buffet (fried rice, fried chicken, egg rolls, fried buns) AND the sauce station. What I did love is there was a gentleman who was making balloon animals/hats/characters for sale near the front of the restaurant. He says he does this occasionally when he doesn't have other gigs like parties or weddings, etc, so my kiddo and my niece each got a cat and a bunny, respectively. This made their day! And it was nice for them not to be strapped into a high chair the whole time, and have something to entertain them. Overall, 4 shining stars! It would have been great if they had private and semi-private rooms like the Bridgeport location, but I think this wasn't possible due to their building. It looked like they took over a from a Mangia Bubala Roadhouse (Italian and Jewish fare) which took over from a Connie's Pizza. This place has gone through some changes, but it looks like Happy Lamb will be there for the long-run.

I had a chance to grab a quick lunch bite at Kogi Kogi, and I have to say it was a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious. One unique aspect of Kogi Kogi is their self-service system. While some might find it a bit different, I found it quite efficient. You order at the self check out counter, and find a table. The food is delivered to you with silver ware. It's a great way to customize your meal and ensures you get exactly what you want. Plus, it's a fast way to get your food and start enjoying it. The staff was friendly and always ready to assist if needed. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the self-service style might not be for everyone. Some may prefer a more traditional dining experience. But if you're open to a unique and interactive approach to dining while enjoying fantastic Korean cuisine, Kogi Kogi is definitely worth a visit! read more

The food is good and varied however, my complaint is with the false advertising on their menu. I ordered a green tea boba which is listed under the iced bubble tea. What I was given was just a smoothie, no boba. When I inquired, the server asked if I meant tapioca. Which generally speaking, if you're a boba enthusiast, boba and tapioca are synonymous. When I explained that to her, she apologized and said that they don't offer tapioca, it's just a powdered green tea smoothie. I responded that they're falsely advertising one of their products and that's very deceiving for anyone who orders. She apologized again and said she'll let her manager know.... The smoothie wasn't even that great and was a waste of $6. So, my advice? Go for the food and forget about the "iced NON bubble tea." read more

We went there on a Saturday, it was not that busy. However, we waited for 20 minutes to get our Bibimbap. They were not served in stone bowls, even we had to pay extra for that. It was not sizzling hot as it should be. The taste was not that great. Not coming back, at least not for Bibimbap. read more
