Today I received a statement from kohl's with a late fee charge. I had just moved 4 months ago to my new address. I called all of my credits card companies personally to notify them of my change in address. When I was talking to their payment department I explained that I had not received a statement from them in a couple of months as I do not usually make alot of purchases at their company. I was forced to make my payment in full even though I had explained the situtation to them of what was happening. Im an honest person and I don't think that all people should be treated badly even though their are people that do lie about things. I will never shop their store again. I came here w/my mom, who is sick, & she was confused on how she paid her bill & the girl at the register yelled at my mom telling her that's not how it's done & my mother is wrong & she's clearly confused, talking over her.. The need a lot of help. Terrible experience today...with Christmas returns. About 20 people in the return line for at least 30 minutes or more. There were many employees in the store, wandering around, 'hiding out', sauntering, taking breaks and there were only 2 people at the customer service desk, on December 26th! I had 3 items with gift receipts and was told none of them were valid and that the items had to be returned as if I didn't have receipts...total scam. There was no manager available to help either. And, a merchandise credit was the only option...unreal. Spend your money and shop elsewhere. read more

I'm a city girl- I live in SF and my only transportation is my MUNI pass. But my sweet old Ma mailed me a $10 off Kohl's coupon with a note that it was time I bought some new bras. But MUNI doesn't go out to Colma and there was no way I was going to pay $5.80 round trip on BART just to save $10. So I took the scenic route, walking the 4 miles down Mission, past the acres of dead bodies, and ended up at Kohl's. By then I was determined to make good use of this coupon, so I spent a solid 3 hours scouring the racks. The other reviewers are right- you have your choice of dressing like a 13-year-old sex worker or like you're ready for bingo night at the nursing home. I managed to find a bra and some other basic items, and only noticed after walking back home that I'd been overcharged $8. Which is lame since it means I only saved $2. And there's no way I'm hiking back out there to have them fix it. But even if I had a car, I wouldn't go back to this store. Every five minutes, for the entire 3 hours I was there, some stern-sounding man was barking orders at employees over the loudspeaker. It was just constant, and gave the whole store this vibe of evil slave-driving. Especially considering how harshly his voice contrasted with the cheery recorded, "The more you know, the more you Kohl's!" lady voice that he kept interrupting. Well, I had a really bad experience today at this store, I will not be returning. I was buying a few things I needed for the holidays, spending $60.00 to be exact, I presented the cashier with a coupon only to find it had expired the day before, I asked the women if she could honor the coupon anyway? She refused. To me that is not good customer service. She was also rude, the store was a mess, and you couldn't find a salesperson anywhere on the floor. I have worked retail before and I know it can be difficult sometimes but I always wanted to make the customer happy within reason, I don't think I was being unreasonable. read more

I have to say, Anna Marie was probably the rudest cashier I have ever encountered. Because I said over 5 timed I did not want to sign up for rewards or the credit card she rolled her eyes at me and says OK well I was just trying to save you $. Look, if I say no, do not hassle me, don't roll your eyes at me either. Also, she tells us, "uh usually people don't just come up to the counter they wait until called to the counter " there was not one sign or ropes, or did any of the workers who were standing near the registers say otherwise,so we assumed we were to wait in line behind the customer at the register. We weren't hovering the customer or anything we were on the edge. I will for now on stick with jcpenney or target. If you are ordering online for a gift you are counting on receiving, I strongly discourage you order from Kohls. I placed an order on December 2,2019 for a Christmas item for my child. I then received a confirmation on December 9,2019 that my order was completed and shipped, in addition to other emails confirming it was on its way . I called today December 18, 2019 and was told that my order is out of stock! Yes, the order that has been on its way for over 2 weeks, that they do not even have! Needless to say, after trusting Kohls to be a legit scam free corporation..I learned the hard way. This item was my child's most wanted gift and now it is too late to order and receive it in time for Christmas. It was Cleveland Indians bedding set. Unless I find one somewhere else in time for Christmas he will not be getting this. All because Kohls did not have enough respect for a good customer to simply say it is out of stock. Instead, continued to tell me it is on its way and has been shipped, when they never had the item to begin with. It happened to be on sale when I ordered it. I have heard of Kohls being horrible about "bait and switch" on the news. This, I feel was a scam to get me to order more products (which I did) . They made absolutely NO effort to try to make it right, and to get a refund back on a item they never had to charge me for to begin with, I have to wait 7 days. I agree with most of the reviews, it is definitely a decent place to shop. The brands that Kohl's offer are good, but don't expect high end product. It's a Mervyn's on steroids. The store was clean and nicely organized with easy to comprehend signs. The layout when you walk in the door is the Men's section to the left, Women's to your immediate right, Boys right of the Women's section, Electronics, Home furnishing, and Kitchen Appliances in the back. They have a good selection of Levi's jeans (My main reason for shopping here). In the Electronics section, they have high quality brands such as Dyson and Bissell. Kitchen appliances this is the section that I'm impressed with. They have Henkel knives, KitchenAid, and a bunch of Food Network endorsed brands (e.g. Rachel Ray, Food Network, Emeril, etc). The customer service was efficient. There was a line, but the wait time was reasonable. Nothing wrong here. The only reason I didn't give this place a 4 was because I had a bad experience at the counter. I miscalculated the total cost of the item and brought just enough money. Turned out, I was 1 dollar and 12 cents off. So I told the cashier if he could hold it for 2 minutes while I get more money. His body language made me feel ashamed of myself for not having enough money. Hahah. Yeah, it's not a big deal...But I must be critical for the sake of this review. Overall, A good store for Levi's products since they often have good discounts. I repeat this is a Mervyn's on steroids, so don't expect tier 1 brand names. Con: Nothing really. This will be short and to the point as I was very disappointed. This review is not just a one time ordeal. I came to Kohl's multiple times trying to be fair, that maybe it was a one bad trip. NOPE....I was wrong, my first impression was my last. Obviously the store has a couple different departments but how can you not have any associates on floor to help customers if they have any questions? Another thing is after having to go look for someone to help, they said they have to call someone that works in that department. Ok fine. I had to wait 10 minutes...literally 10 MIN. for someone and to find out that person didn't know the answer. Seriously? I am a fair person and I will not hate unless it happens to me multiple times. I believe customer service is number one to keeping your customer satisfied. To top it all off, I saw their new advertisement and there were some items for a great deal. Went into the store and to my surprise, They don't sell the item. It wasn't in-store any where or ONLINE. Wtf???? What's the point of advertising???? The manager told me they should be coming in a week give or take and she will sell the item to me as what the advertisement stated. Came back a week later for it and still no item. She than said maybe we haven't received it and told me to give them a month. I thought, ok at least she is trying to give the deal. I came back a month later since i was nearby, Come to find out they never got it and they don't sell it. I spoke to a supervisor and she said they never carried it and doesn't know why it was being advertise. WHAT???? I gave the manager the benefit of doubt and you totally disappointed me. This store's cashiers are incredibly dishonest and lied to my face multiple times. My mom left her phone at the cashiers and she knew that was where she put it down. We were about to leave multiple times until we remembered the find my phone app. It showed that the phone was in front of the store so we asked one more time if they had the phone and they said no once again. We switched it on and the phone immediately started alarming and the cashier pulled it out of her drawer. I really wish I could put 0 stars but that is not possible. We all know Khols has great deals consistently. I usually shop and sum up and when I'm at the register my total ends up being way lower. HOWEVER. I've been to maybe 15 different Khols Stores and this one was by far my least pleasant experience. (actually, it's usually pretty pleasant). I went in on my lunch break and within 5 minutes of my arrival witnessed a screaming fight between a customer and a customer service rep. I've worked Cust. Srv. for years, so I understand the frustration.. but you don't yell BACK at an irate customer. This is all I heard: "WHAT IS YOUR NAME? YOU HEARD ME?!" "MY NAME? MY NAME IS... CONFUCIUS!!" (this was hilarious) "SHE'S CONFUSED, THAT WHAT SHE IS.. SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE CUSTOMER SERVICE!" (followed by security guards leading the women away into the distance, never to be heard from again).. ANYWAY... After the shouting faded away.. 2 reps behind me (in the JR Miss Dept) started discussing the fight, mind you there were about 5 people nearby, easily able to hear their conversation. "not like that.I mean I've gotten into it with a customer,but not like screaming" (younger girl) "The customer is always right.. right?" (older, clearly wiser woman) "...pfft! not always.. *laughter*" VERY inappropriate conversation to have among other shoppers. BUT HERE IS THE KICKER! I'm a frequent shopper at Khols so I use their app for rewards points, which is great.. usually.. Never had an issue in any other stores, especially Stockton, which is my favorite. That morning I received $15 Khols Cash, which is like regular cash. I also received an email AND an app alert with 2 offers. 1 for 15% off total purchase and 1 for $10 off $40 all women's apparel and accessories, both stating they WERE able to be combined with other offers. I added my shit up.. around $45.. went to register, total was lower ($31) so I ran back and grabbed another pair of leggings, total was $44. I turned the coupon code on my phone to the cashier SIDE NOTE: let me tell you about this lady.. at first glance, sweet, kind, friendly older lady with the gift of gab. But visually annoyed when anyone made a simple request like.. can you reprint this, or wait I have a coupon.. or sorry I can't find my card..I actually heard her SIGHHHHHHHHHH so hard like 4 times to ppl before she got to me. Whatever, she was nice to me so who cares.. until.. so I show her my $10 off coupon and it wont scan. She tries like 5 times, won't scan. She tries the paper version by her scanner and it won't go through either. "It won't scan, but I can give you a couple of these" she said, pointing to the paper coupons that didn't work literally 5 seconds ago. "those don't work" "I know.. idk what's wrong with them.. " She just keeps scanning the same fucking paper like 12 times and keeps going.. "yeah.. it's not going through.. idk.. i just dont know... idk what's wrong with them" *awkward silence* "ok, so what.. they're just not gonna work?", I ask, annoyed.. of course MIND YOU, I'm very diligent with coupons, I look at it carefully and I was 100% certain that they applied to my entire purchase and they were not expired. So I'm late for work by now.. and she's not offering to call a manager or trying to get any help from anyone. She just looks at me, and goes.. "nope.. not working sorry.. it just wont go through" I ask her to remove the last pair of leggings I grabbed, and just use my khols cash and the other coupon. She goes "oh you don't have a credit card with us? why don't you apply?!" seriously?... I said "this experience isn't really putting me in the mood for one" So she rings me up.. I pay.. and hurry out of there cus I'm super late to work.. later on I looked at my receipt and realized she forgot to scan the second coupon. UGH!!! Great products, especially appliance selection with lower prices than other stores. Quality brands. Comparing to Macy's and Nordstrom's. There is always parking available. Customer service is lacking. This location is very unorganized, and prices aren't marked well at all. If you must shop at Kohl's I would drive further down El Camino and hit up the one in Millbrae. Its much better there. read more

I'd never been to one of these before, but my initial impression is that they don't have anything in my size. I went for shorts and maybe it was the end of the sale, but it just seemed very bare. They had a ton of old man golf shorts in some sickening nylon material or something, but not much in the way of plain shorts without 20 pockets or pleats or going down to my ankles. Shoes were the same story. I did find a nice belt, though. Store seemed pretty clean. I'd try another one again because they had good prices had they had the sizes I was looking for. This store was sort of depressing, but it might have been due to having to pass a bunch of cemeteries to get here. read more

However, just be sure that you pay your card off right away, or else that 20-30% discount you just got will come right back to you in interest. and man-o-man are their interest rates HIGH. Really enjoy shopping here. They have good prices, and when you are a charge customer, you get discount coupons in the mail for either 15,20 or 30% off, which really makes the items affordable. A nice selection, laid out in an easy to find manner. His comment, "we are not carrying this".. my reply is why put in a flyer and could you check. You would think I asked him to loan me a million dollars, the look on his face said it all, but he went to the back room to check for the shoe in my size. he came out a few minutes later to say they did not have my size and he turned away... I am seeing the end of a beautiful run for Kohl's! They changed their Kohl's cash redemption policy just in time for the holidays! Now the cash comes off the item before the percent off. I will never shop online or in store again! I was lured into opening a Kohl's charge account to get what apparently was a one time 20% off. Of course, the "Kohl's Cash" I earned had too small of a redemption window......missed it by 2 days! After losing my job and counting on using my Kohl's charge (and so far un-useable discounts) to get my son's school clothes, when we finally decided on what to get I was told my charge card would offer no discount in store but I would be eligible for up to 30% online! So I took pictures of each of the clothing tags, went home, logged into my online account to only find 3 of 7 the items available for "in-store pickup". The site stated that you can "stack promo codes" so I entered 3 codes that were supposed to expire at midnight. Its now 11:57PM and my cart has $122 worth of items in it. The supposedly valid promo code has apparently expired! When I enter the code for 20% $100 and over it states "you do not have enough items in your cart to qualify"? Same for the 15% $75 and over! I end up going back to the store to pick up the clothes we left on hold and apparently this is the ONE day a month there are no discounts? I tried to redeem my 142 points for $5 off using the "Yes2You"program and apparently, I can not use that until the first week of next month? So I spent $102 on half the number of items I initially intended to buy with NO discount. Goodbye Kohl's! Your programs are impossible and I can never recover the 48 hours of my life wasted! After recieving multiple coupons, I decided to go to Kohls for shopping.: 1. HORIBBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 2. LESSER CLOTHES THEN USUAL 3. CARELESS WORKERS I had about 700 dolars worth of clothing, i had a 20% coupon I had recieved by mail, email, and someone gave me one at the store. I new I could only use on so I did. The I was going to open an account at Kohls and thereofre recieve the one time 20% discount for that. First: The cashier looks at me like im a criminal and says :"YOU? Hwo od are you? Do you have any credit cards?". WTH is this an interrogation, isnt that what the application is for? Second: The man then told me that if I opened an account I would not be able to get the coupon discount. This is outrageous, last week my friend did the same thing with a similar coupon in Concord. He then called the manager who smirked at me and laughed and just told me that he didnt care he was going to loose a customer and that he was offering bad service. First thing, if I could give a 0 star I would. I've been a loyal Kohl's shopper for a few years, and usually have a pretty good experience there, nice people and helpful service. Last night I go and spend a good few hours there, end up spending over $200. This morning I open the bags and see about $50 worth of makeup and jewelry not there. I check the rest of the bags, nothing. I make there are no holes in the bag just in case something coudlve fallen out, nope. I go back to the car, twice, check in front to back, nothing. I had not touched opened the bags or taken anything out till this morning, so nothing could've happened to them. I decide to call them and try to figure something out. They check the Jewelry Department, where I had payed, there are no bags with jewelry and makeup. I call this theivery. When I pay for something and the people I'm trusting to put my payed for items in the bags take them for themselves, because there is no other explanation I can think of, I have a big problem.
