We've always shopped at Kohl's for holiday gift giving & apparel. Like most stores, their prices have gone up so the deals we once enjoyed aren't quite as good as previous years but we are grateful to have coupons & discounts. I picked up some seasonal tops for myself as well as my granddaughter so we can be matchy-matchy. They had a good selection of tops in the $9.99 - 12.99 price range. I picked up a couple of those as well as a dressier top that was over $40. It hurt to pay that but hubby said to go ahead since I liked it so much. My sweet man! Anyway... we found some pajama sets that are super soft! Other clothing items that I won't mention since they are gifts. I love that they have a dedicated section for petites right next to the fitting rooms. We shopped here from 10 pm until they closed at midnight. The employees were as nice as always despite it being so late. The store was very tidy despite the parking lot being packed 1-2 hours prior to our arrival. read more

This store is a nightmare!! Turn some AC on! I almost passed out in the checkout line. 17 people long, only 2 cashiers, everyone was sweating. Cheap store won't keep the AC on so customers can be cool when it's 80 degrees out. They have so few people checking ppl out yet they have 10 other employees wandering around the store. They're always out of the most popular sizes in each section and most of the clothes are junk made of polyester plastic garbage! Cheap and overpriced. Such a terrible experience. Plus there's a terrible fragrance perfume smell that is so strong I left tasting it in my mouth. read more

Shambles; went inside to purchase a pair of shoes, no pricing on the shoes, shoes below the display did not match. This place is just ok. It feels like Kohl's is the last of the discount department store and seems to still be thriving. I bring my family here for shoes and even clothes. The store could be better picked up. There could be a better selection as it seems they never have my size. The lady at the counter never broke out of her scowl. Driving up to it, the store seemed a lot bigger than our one from the neighborhood. Set up similarly so everything was easy to find. The new partnership with Amazon is an absolute game changer. I'd scheduled a pickup for an Amazon return that didn't end up happening (groan) so I whisked my oversized box away to Kohl's customer service desk after a nearby meeting in Manchester. The whole process took about 30 seconds (well, that's after 10 min in the customer service line - still less than the post office most days). They scanned my QR code, gave me a receipt, and sent me on my way. So streamlined and wonderful. Plus, they gave me a coupon for 25% off my next purchase which is a dirty trick, though a delightful & appreciated one. I really do like this store beyond the new Amazon-related convenience. It's clean, organized, and well stocked with some killer sales. Wish it was a little closer to me in West Hartford but I don't mind making the drive. read more

I went to walk up to a register to cash out, the lady walks away and yells behind her, "I'm closed!" I'm like ok, there was one cashier that was busy so I went up to the customer service area to cash out. They ignored me until finally acknowledging me because I didn't break eye contact lol, how are you going to avoid working? So finally she says "we usually call people up when we're ready" I was like oh I'm sorry, you looked like you needed something to do! Usually I'm not like this but when I'm at work I work. They're getting paid so just do your job! But nobody wants to work anymore so I shop online. This is why brick and mortar stores are dying. Because people suck. read more

NEVER AGAIN! I Made an online purchase to pick up at this location because they are the only one that had the item. I live over an hour away and after an hour I proceeded to the store...2 hours after making the order. I get to the store and there are 40 people in line. Everyone is socially distanced in line, but then you get to the front! 10 furious people all waiting for their online orders, not only completely understaffed but they don't have many of the items that they said that they did! I was told by the worker that fetches the items that sometimes it can take 3 hours for online orders to come in and the woman behind the counter screams 4 or more. I told him to forget it, that I was canceling the order. I took a quick Walk around the store to look for a couple other things I needed but the store is completely disheveled, merchandise all over the ground. The boxes look like a smash and dent shop, a complete mess! I don't think I've ever been in a department store that has been such a mess, even Walmart on Black Friday is neater! Won't be back, not ever! I would never do online ordering with this company no matter where the location is! They take your money regardless of having the product. WASTE OF TIME ! read more

1/13/2023 around 6pm I had scanned an item on my kohl's app/price checker as the product was not marked. The item on my app scanned for $40.00. Once I got up to the register, the cashier, told me my item was $63. I questioned this as that isnt what the scanner showed . The cashier called her manager. They both told me the scanner/price checker in my store app will count any coupons I have available and that's the reason the item on the app scanner/ price checker was being shown for $40.00. This information is incorrect and they are sharing misinformation and should be more knowledgeable as the coupon I had in my wallet would have taken 15% off $63 bringing it to $53 and change. I also visit kohls 1-2 times a week, use the scanner/ price checker in my app because things are never priced, and there has never been a discrepancy where the scanner just automatically assumes your coupon I have available to something I am scanning?? What? I think they need to better understand their coupon policies, and their place of employment overall, and also work on customer service skills because they were unpleasant. I've never had an issue at kohl's ever, and the way I was treated by these two, makes me not wish to return. I'll shop online. I actually ordered the product discussed above online for the correct price, where the $40.00 did not include my discount, which was $35 and change. I want to note that when I showed them the scanner on my app they could see the same exact item (King comforter, color etc). They told me I didn't have the right size selected...they ignored the fact that I was showing them They should stick to one story instead of switching up their excuses. read more

It is always important to keep expectations low when it comes to chain department stores like Kohl's. I do not expect great customer service, fast cashiers, or organized dressing rooms; these are certainly not Kohl's strongest store aspects. However, I do commend Kohl's, and this store in particular on a wide selection of women's bras and athletic gear. Kohl's Cares is also a wonderful program and spending $5 on a cute stuffed animal for your niece with the funds going towards sick children is a good choice any day. Bottom line: Come into Kohl's knowing what you want to find, and give yourself extra time running errands to get through the cash register lines. read more

Kohl's is tough. They have a little of everything, and a great range of styles and sizes. You can get toys, housewares, electronics and of course clothing. Reminds me of the great department stores of my youth. Where things start to fall apart is in presentation and service. The vibe is G. Fox selection and quality in a Railroad Salvage atmosphere. The Manchester Kohl's is always a mess. Racks are overfull. Stuff on the floor. Nothing is organized by size. When you can find a staff member to help you, they are great, but most of the time you are working with your fellow shoppers to locate items or sizes. I understand that modern retail is under a great deal of pressure from online sellers but even a small investment in floor maintenance would pay a big dividend in shopper experience. I want to like Kohl's more, but shopping there stresses me out. read more

I buy underwear here. I know...more information than you needed. But when I don't shop my own store, I will shop here. This Kohl's is well kept and easily navigated. It's a nice size that's not overwhelming for older guests that don't go out of town to shop. I can't really be too extensive in my review. I'm here infrequently. But I will say I've never really had a poor experience here. I just won't buy things in this store that I can purchase in my own (with my associate discount). Great for both clothes (women's and mens) and housewares (kitchen and bedroom are my favorites). I go to the Manchester Kohls every once in a while for their work out gear. I love the fact that they carry an extensive collection of nike, reebok and Adidas. After their coupons, the workout gear becomes super affordable. The same thing applies to the men's work out gear. I also like the fact that there are two separate check out areas and two different part of the stores. It makes it easier to leave the store without waiting in like forever. I agree with other reviewers that the dressing room is a disaster. They should really send more associates at regular intervals. read more

I had a miserable experience trying to purchase an item online. I ordered this item over a month ago as a Christmas gift for my grandson. When the order didn't come on the due date I called kohl's. At first they couldn't find it but then said that the item had been shipped back to the warehouse. I received no notification of this from Kohl's. I asked them to ship me another one but they said they could not until the original one came back to the warehouse. The gift would then be late for Christmas. I then asked for a refund and they said that they could not until the item comes back to the warehouse. Then I would have to wait 30 days to process. They have my money and I have no item. I spent 2 hours online trying to explain this but have gotten no results other than I would have to wait 30 days for a refund. I will never order from Kohl's again and I urge you to be careful when ordering from Kohl's. read more

I ordered something online to be picked up at the store. That process was easy, but the rest not so much. My email said that the item could be picked up on the 23rd or 24th, and that I would be notified by mail or text when my item was ready. Well the 23rd came and I received no notification, but since they said it could be on the 24th I didn't panic As of 3:00 pm on the 24th I still had no notification, so I drove to the store to inquire. After standing on a very slow line it was my turn. I explained to the clerk my situation to which she replied that since I didn't get notification the item wasn't there. After I insisted , she reluctantly asked for my order number. It turns out the item was there. I know it was late on Christmas Eve and all, but customer service should still be a priority. If I hadn't insisted the recipient of my gift would have been disappointed. There was no explanation or apology for not having been notified about my item being ready. read more

I don't know why I always forget that Kohl's exists, and when I get there, I'm always amazed at how good the products are and how big the sales are. The women's clothes are not up to par, but the Men and Junior's will find that they will have better luck. I love their home goods department and my sister always has luck in their kid's department. This Kohl's is ridiculous. I'm not sure anyone ever actually CLEANS or straightens up....ever. The racks are always a hodge podge of all sorts of things and nothing is ever in it's place. You might find a top you like that's a size too big, but good luck finding another one in the size you need! The past several times I've been there (NOT on busy weekends, mind you), the (newly remodeled!) dressing rooms have all been SO jam packed with clothing that you couldn't even put the clothes you wanted to try on on a hook (I never understand why people just leave what they don't want in the dressing room anyways - but what happened to employees cleaning them out once in awhile??) and the racks outside where you're supposed to hang what you don't want were so full that people were just throwing things on the floor. There is no reason for this - especially when there are 3 employees just standing outside the fitting rooms chatting. You can sometimes find some nice gems at Kohl's for a good price so I do pop in from time to time, but this location really needs an overhaul of it's employees and/or management. It's a huge turn off to walk into a store that's this big of a mess all the time. I even wrote a message via their website to their corporate customer service - to no response. Ignore me if you must, but I sure hope you're checking in with the store and making sure some changes are being made because this location is not representing your company in a very pleasant manner. read more

I used to visit this kohl's frequently before I moved out of state. And, I have to say, I've never had any complaints about this place. The associates do a wonderful job in keeping the store neat and the shelves well stocked, even on big sales days. And they are always very helpful and knowledgeable. Even though this is largely a self-service store, someone is always in the departments, ready and willing to make themselves available to help. And I would definitely recommend signing up for a Kohl's charge card. Not only do you get up to 30% off every month, but you can pay your bill in store at any register in cash or check. My boyfriend and I went here yesterday shopping for pots and pans, a coffee maker, things of that nature. He has a Kohl's credit card and it was 30% off if you use your card. Good deals on a new drinking glass set, a purse for me, and a new set of wine glasses. We purchased some good quality items and spent peanuts. However, we are always disappointed with the selection of clothes here and rarely buy anything. Trying things on is always a bad experience, they don't keep the dressing rooms clear of clutter. The checkout people are extremely friendly and everything always rings up correctly here. The shoe area is hard to maneuver, there's always somebody with a cart in the skinny aisles or a kid without a parent running loose. But if you stick to the household items you'll find some nice stuff and great deals here if there is a sale and you are using your Kohl's card at the same time. read more

I love this Khol's location. I shop here mostly for my son and occasionally for my husband, myself, and my home. I have a charge and I also shop online for things that are exclusive to the website such as the French Toast school uniform pants and shorts. My son loves coming here, pushing around a cart and filling it up with his picks. He loves Nike, Adidas, and Sean White clothing and shoes. I love to shop on days when I have a 30% off coupon or at least 20% and I love that I can return anything easily if my son rips the tags off and changes his mind or I can't get to the store right away and I still get a credit to my card instead of a store credit like many other stores where returns are a huge hassel. I love the fact that they have a variety of brands and price points too. I also like that this location has their returns desk right by one of the doors and not tucked away in the back like in the other Khols in our area. I am a Khols customer for life! read more

Go to any other Kohl's but this one!!! My friend and I were shopping around Christmas time and we shop here avidly. As we were leaving Security stopped her, embarrassed her in front of a mob of customers waiting in line and dragged her in the backroom ACCUSING her of stealing. They kept her back there for over an hour while I waited for her. They then reviewed the cameras and noticed she had NOT stolen anything. I reported this to upper Management and they said ' they'll look into it". Sorry but that's not good enough. She was humiliated in front of people and felt that she had been profiled. Customer support is a joke. They applied my payment to the wrong account and ended up owing me $200. It has been a month and I still have not received my money. Their support personnel have been zero help and have done nothing but aggravate me. I was a pretty good customer but they have totally lost me at this point. I think this is a good store to shop in overall. I found a couple of last minute Christmas gifts here on Christmas Eve, and they were also on sale which is always a great thing. The dressing rooms were just okay when I went in to try something on, which I did not actually end up buying. They weren't quite the 'disaster' that someone else here wrote, but they certainly were not in tip-top condition either and I agree there could have been better upkeep throughout the day by the associates. But overall I would say this store was a lot cleane r and neater then other stores I visited during the entire holiday shopping seasons. I had to go back in there today to return a couple unwanted gifts and the sales clerks were courteous and processed my returns without any issues. Kohls is a good store for the most part and I've shopped in here many times before and would definitely go bac.k The one thing I really like about Kohl's is that they always make sure to put those wet floor signs out and mop up the extra water that is tracked into the store by people when its raining or snowing!!! A lot of stores do not always do that as quick or often as they should and that is a serious safety issue!! Not to mention a liability issue also, but Koh'ls always makes sure the water is mopped off the floor and the signs are out. So if you fall, its your own fault!! lol read more

I shop there a good amount of time and the other day I was chatting with the cashier, who was very nice and personable. As I was watching her, she counted the number of items and than double checked on the register to make sure they were the same amount, this was a great idea! However, when I got home, she didn't take off "the security tag" in one of the tops I bought!!!! I said, now I have to go out of my way back there and have this done!!! This IS NOT FIRST TIME ITS HAPPENED EITHER. When I drove to the store and had to wait in the line for CUSTOMER SERVICE (which by the way was at least 25 min. wait) I explained to the nice lady and she removed it, that's it! I'm thinking to myself, not even an apology or anything for my efforts to get this done!! I think the Management at the Headquarters needs to know about this! I personally think we should be compensated for their error (maybe even a 30% off coupon for example) just my thoughts read more
