Sure enough, a tiny sign greeted me at the TOP of the escalators, not below at the bottom of the escalators where it would have made more sense. I find my way to the counter, and yup, no one there. I find an associate who politely and apologetically informed me that AT 7PM the Amazon Returns counter moves DOWNSTAIRS to the main cash registers - where I was ten minute ago, with NO SIGNAGE WHATSOEVER. This isn't about the redondo store, this is about kohls gift card corporate that has been giving me the run around since June. This is ridiculous! I have been waiting since June for a gift card dispute. Every single time somebody tells me something different and then says oh after my 8th call we have to open another case with this so you'll have to wait another 30 days to possibly receive your gift card. I spent thousands of dollars every year at your store somebody should be held accountable to this. I'm just about ready to cancel my card as well as the rest of my family with their Kohl's cards as well unacceptable customer service. read more

Extremely Poor Customer Service - Lost $780 and Hours of My Time. I called the Kohl's Redondo Beach location in advance to confirm I could return approximately 200 units of Nike products. The staff assured me it would be fine and to come anytime. I came prepared with all items organized and a printed sheet with order numbers to make the process as smooth as possible. However, once I arrived, a manager who identified herself as Blanca came down and told me about a corporate email limiting returns to 10 items - a policy that has never been mentioned in Kohl's terms of service and certainly wasn't communicated when I called ahead. When I asked if we could at least attempt to process as many returns as possible, she refused. I settled for returning just 10 items, which she processed by issuing Kohl's Cash instead of a refund. When I got home and tried to use the Kohl's Cash, I discovered my $780 account balance had disappeared. I spent 3 hours on the phone the next day only to learn that the in-store agent had "voided" my Kohl's Cash. I don't know if this was done by accident or maliciously, but either way, it created an enormous hassle for me. I'm now out $780 and have lost over 4 hours of my time dealing with this mess. The lack of communication, inconsistent policies, and poor handling of the situation by this location is unacceptable. I hope to eventually recover my money, but this has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend calling corporate directly rather than trusting the information provided by this specific location. read more

Just took my return to Kohl's today right when they opened at 9:00 AM. I went upstairs to the Amazon return area, and there was no one there to help. I waited for a few minutes, then tried calling the store--of course, no one answered the phone. While I was standing there, seven other people lined up behind me, and still no employee showed up. After waiting nearly 10 minutes, a kid--maybe 18 years old--finally strolled over. He was wearing a black Nike sweatshirt and had CZ earrings in both ears. Not only was he late, but he didn't greet anyone, didn't apologize, and just started processing returns like nothing was wrong. No acknowledgment, no courtesy, and definitely no sense of urgency. This was honestly some of the worst customer service I've experienced at a Kohl's. If you're going to offer Amazon returns as a service, it should be staffed properly--especially when the store first opens. read more

Came here for an Amazon return. I usually go to UPS and hate when it's not a free option. Oh well. I had a pickup at Ulta Beauty which was super close by. I basically walked right in with my box. Someone asked me if I was looking for Amazon returns since I was looking for a sign, and I said, "Yup. Where do I go?" Hung around the left side, and Amazon pickup was right there. Nobody in line. They scanned my barcode, and I dropped off my box. Easy peasy. You also get a $5 in store promotional gift (coupon) with your receipt of return. Not as easy as UPS since it's 5 mins from me, but it's still easy. read more

Using the Kohl's Cash from Las Vegas, Nevada...in Redondo Beach, California! When we bought our Vegas Golden Knights jerseys in Las Vegas, we were awarded Kohl's Cash to spend at a later date. Luckily, I was still on the mainland to use the Kohl's Cash! Yes...we do not have Kohl's in Hawaii. The amount of Kohl's cash was relatively large ($75) and I had limited time to spend it. I thought that I should make a big purchase and use the Kohl's Cash quickly. What to get??? I've listened to Dan O. and Angel H. talk about their Instant Pots with such enthusiasm! They said that there's a Facebook group that shares local recipes such as Boiled Peanuts, laulau, and kalua pig! They motivated me to try it! I found this Redondo Beach location of Kohl's easily. I parked for free right in front of the door! However, I couldn't find the household items after running around the entire store. I wondered if there was a second floor when I saw and heard an escalator! Ah hah! I went upstairs, found the Home Department, and discovered a mini Instant Pot! I just had to pay $16 after using the Kohl's Cash! Whoa! What a deal! I highly recommend shopping at any Kohl's. They have a great return policy, lots of Clearance Items, clean restrooms, and great selections on clothes, shoes, luggage, linens, accessories, etc. My mom, sister, aunt, and friends enjoy visiting Kohl's every year when we go to Las Vegas! We look forward to our annual trips to Kohl's! If I'm in Redondo Beach again, I'll return to this fantastic location! It's TWO floors of bargains! read more

This store is EVIL!!!! I came through for one reason and one reason only: to use their Amazon return section. I normally box and ship everything back myself, but this one time was going to be more convenient. So, off I went. Parking is never an issue at any mall now (even if it is the South Bay Galleria.) I walk in and was directed accordingly. But on my way, I see this really nice purse. "$79." Eh, I'll think about it. Did my amazon return, was given my receipt and was told, "You get 25% off any purchase at the store in the next 7 days." 25% off $79 was a no brainer. I also found some cool shirts I didn't know I was looking for, and for the bargain price of 2 for $22 (plus 25% off) I couldn't let them go. Got to the cashier and was told the purse was 40% to begin with. And with the extra 25%... I couldn't believe it. I walked outta there with 4 shirts and a new purse for less than $80.00. And to make matters worse, they gave me $10 Kohl's PLUS additional discounts (15% or 20%, depending on how much is spent.) Evil, evil, EVIL!!!! And how are they surviving with all these multiple discounts?!!? Sadly, I'll be taking advantage of that Kohl's cash and additional discount soon. (Insert smirk and a bit of chuckling here.) Amazon return could not have been easier or more efficient. A nice gentleman greeter (when did Kohl's start this nice service?) directed me to the Amazon return area, but there are large signs that direct you if there isn't a greeter. I was 4th in line and waited maybe only 3 minutes because everyone in front of me had either a printed return slip or their QR code ready to scan. I had the latter so I was served in less than 60 seconds once I was at the desk. I thought it was nifty to not only receive a receipt of my return, I also got $10 Kohl's cash. Can't say I'm a regular at Kohl's but I reckon that $10 would be a nifty discount should I need to make a purchase. Everyone was properly masked and gloved, and after every interaction the desk was wiped down/sanitized. Touchless with the exception of receiving the receipt. No crowds, plenty of parking - the entire experience was pleasant and I would absolutely make all my Amazon returns here at Kohl's. read more

This is a very well organized and clean location. Honestly what I appreciate the most is the various signs to help you navigate through the store. To me, with all the communication with the signs, it gives the associates a break. I was honestly there for Amazon drop off and it was easy to locate. Located at the South Bay Galleria In Redondo Beach. I've been here a few times not too bad of place to shop the best part is to have coupons here when shopping then you get the most for your money. Well today I just came for the Amazon drop off return which is very convenient I had to return an item I got off Amazon and they suggested returns here that way I don't have to rebox and ship it back myself and it's free of charge real simple you have a printout from Amazon you bring that and the item to the counter and they take care of the rest. I have shopped at Kohl's for the last 8 years. When I opened the account I was only given a $300 credit limit which is ridiculous to begin. But after 8 long years of good credit with them and more than a few requests for a credit increase none was granted without mandating an additional credit check which of course I refused. Each time I would simply reply, You have over 8 years of good credit history with me already, why would you need to run my credit? Then low and behold I am shopping at this particular Kohl's location and one of their jewelry counter reps openly racially profiles me. I was infuriated and livid. I caught her staring at me for an extreme amount of time as if she was waiting for me to steal something. When I caught her she stopped like a dead in headlights and said Uhm can I help you? I immediately responded, what are you starting at me for while I'm shopping. I picked up and walked away because it was more than resoundingly clear by her reaction when she was caught. I headed upstairs to customer service to make my purchase and return and file a complaint with a manager. When my transactions were done I reported the associate to the manager. After my initial complaint, I brought it to the managers attention that I did not understand why I would be required to run an additional credit check to get a credit increase because I have had their card in good standing for over 8 years. She replied that I should call customer service because she never ever had to run an additional credit check and she basically had to call to request them to stop increasing her credit. Then a Caucasian customer added her personal experience stating that she gets an increase every year and also has never had to have her credit run again. So I'm writing this review to call Kohl's out for their racists credit practices as well as their store profiling of people of color. Everyone knows that in order to improve your credit one must only utilize a third of their credit. So if I'm only given a measly $300 limit, then $100 is all I can spend to not have a derogative credit standing even if I am paying 100% on time. Systemic racism at its finest. They should be ashamed of themselves but I'm sure they are not. The Sad part is if a race truly believes that they are a superior race to all others then why must they continue to oppress and hold back people of color. If they were truly superior they wouldn't need to take so many advantages to be better. People of color spend just as much money in this Country and in Kohl's as any other race and deserve to be treated with the same respect they give others. Kohl's behavior and many other businesses like them are a disgusting discredit to our Country and we should not patrons stores where our dollars are not appreciated. read more

My brutality continues. For as large as this location is (a couple of stories even), the selection is seriously lacking. Product is also stocked in a very disorganized manner: you have coffee makers here and over there. Hand mixers in at least three spots. Most appliances didn't have prices. I would pick stuff up and my girl friend would look up the prices on their website. The line for in-store pickup was ridiculously long, the store itself was a mess. I'm not surprised there's a class action lawsuit against Kohl's for their fake sales. Kohl's had a $10 off $25 coupon in the newspaper and online which they would not honor for their keurig kcups. I also did a survey on a prior purchase and was emailed a $5 off coupon which also could not be used. The explanation given was that kcups were food and that the vendors didn't allow Kohl's to honor Kohl's coupons on their products. Really? That didn't make any sense to me and I left without purchasing them. Even though they were "on sale", they were still expensive. I also overheard some boys in the toy department complaining to their mother how expensive the Star Wars items were, even though they were "on sale". I won't name the store a 10-minute walk away which they said had the same toy for much cheaper. When is a sale not a sale? Got my answer today. read more

The best thing about Kohl's in general is that I often get coupons for $10 off with a minimum of a $10 purchase in the mail. That draws me into the store! I like Kohl's as a chain. This Kohl's is a 2 story store which used to be Mervyn's. I enjoy looking around, "window shopping", per se. I rarely find things I want to buy. I know what I want, but it is either out of stock or is no longer in style. They are good for big bath towels. Just DO NOT BUY the Vera Wang ones, I bought 2 different colored ones, and they both look like they have been splashed with bleach after several washings in Tide detergent. Weird!! I find that Kohl's is a little more expensive than other stores I shop at. Maybe that is why I tend not to find things I am willing to spend the money on! I did have a very helpful employee try very hard to help me find an item. She works there with her mom and called her over to help us. read more

KOHL's is a great store, they support the neighborhood with rather frequent $10 off coupons as incentives to come and shop. Inevitably of course people spend more than $10 and the bait on the hook does lure in shoppers, so it's effective marketing. KOHL's is a great one-stop shopping store for families, with a nice selection of clothes for babies to children, kids, teens, young adults, adults, and both male and female. They also have a very robust housewares department too, as well as jewelry and fragrances. It rivals Sears, JC Penny's (and is a worthy heir to the throne left vacant by Mervyn's and Montgomery Wards) as an affordable department store. The only thing Kohl's doesn't have are appliances or hardware, but for outfitting an active family it's got a lot to choose from. This is located in the South Bay Galleria shopping center mall, so is convenient and has ample parking, both outside and indoor covered. read more

I am disappointed in this Kohl location's customer service. This past weekend, I had a return and an exchange of boys Nike sweatpants. The Kohls associate working at the customer service on the second floor was very unpleasant. She had a don't care attitude and came across she didn't want to be there. Her tone, demeanor and facial expression is NOT one would anticipate to experience shopping. It is the worst customer service experience at this Kohls I have ever experienced. Amazon returns are very streamlined now using Kohl's as a staging location to prepare your item for shipment. They also give you a phenom coupon to use anywhere in the store and that includes sale items. It is extremely rare for a significant reduction coupon be eligible for sale items. The savings are massive even compared to Amazon. I fear that this is a business model that will not support continuous use and Kohl's will fold like many other brick and mortars. In addition you also get more coupons and cash towards future purchase and that will definitely bring me back. However, I do not want to contribute to a red bottom line and see a potential empty parking lot in the near term. I walked in here for two reasons: to buy some cargo shorts, and to take advantage of my credit card rewards points. I made my way to the men's section, and started looking through the various cargo shirts they had in stock. After two rounds in the dressing room, I found what I was looking for. One thing stood out: this store was undermanned. The only time I spoke with a CSR was at the register. There was almost no one on the floor, save for other customers. The register took a bit. An out of towner wanted to apply a coupon that he forgot back home. After 5 minutes, another CSR opened a second register. It went a lot smoother from there. But still, they need to hire more staff, and they need to be more attentive. read more

I needed to do a return at the Amazon desk located in the store. It was a big box and it was awkward trying to juggle it, my purse and get my mask properly adjusted. I had just set the box on a ledge of a display when a young man came over very quickly to see if I needed help. He adjusted the box and asked if I needed a cart ? I didn't even know they had carts !!!! He took off and brought back a cart for me, placing my box in the cart for me and directing me where to go. Like most Kohl's as far as type of stock and employees. They don't have lots of employees, to help keep cost down, so they can sell you cloths for half off. Okay, I've been here a lot and only ever bought anything ONCE. And that was a tiny piece of jewelry. This is the worst Kohl's i've been to, hands down. It's not that it's not clean or organized or materially any different from any other Kohl's... but somehow their inventory just SUCKS. It's smaller than most other locations i've been to, but they just never seem to have anything worth buying... you'd think... how can that be when all stores stock the same stuff? I don't know! I just know i stop in here all the time expecting to find at least SOMETHING good like at any other Kohl's and... walk out empty handed. I wouldn't bother coming back at all, except that we're at this mall all the time and it's right there and i hold out hope that some day, somehow, the experience will be more rewarding. Meh. Despite having two floors of merchandise, I often find this Kohl's to be very disappointing. I usually come here when I don't have time to drive to the Kohl's on the other side of town (in the Rolling Hills plaza). Majority of the time I come here, they don't have what I'm looking for and I leave her empty-handed. The employees are not very helpful. The only employees I tend to see are the ones at the register - I don't normally see anyone on the sales floor when I need help locating an item. This Kohl's is good purely based on convenience of location. However, I would much rather drive the extra 15 minutes to the other store. read more

The worse bait and switch. Very deceptive advertising. This is for the Kohl's company. I shopped online and found a sketcher shoe for $54.99 on sale from $59.99. But it also said that if I entered the "family and friends" coupon the shoe would be $41.24. I jumped on it because I had $40 in kohl's cash to spend so the shoe would cost me $1.24. Once I completed my payment information, the total for my purchase ended up totaling to $12.21. I was astonished. I called Kohl's and was told that if I use my kohl's cash, I would not receive the advertised price of $41.24. What good is it to earn the Kohl's cash if they do not honor the advertised price? I will not shop Kohl's again and will pass on my experience with everyone. Don't waste your time or money on their "good" deals or Kohl's cash. Nothing is as it seems. read more

Offended and shamed to shop in the Women's Plus Size Section I visited a Kohl's store for the first time. I went in to get Fathers day Gifts, once I was done doing so I decided to look for greeting cards to go with the gifts. On my search for them lost and confused and with no help offered to me by any store associate, I some how came across the Women's Plus Size Section Hidden off behind binds, and racks and other smaller sizes in the corner of the store; I thought I would give it a look knowing I could use some new summer pieces. For the fist time ever I was made to feel offended and shamed to be in a Plus Size Section. Everything in the Women's Plus Size area was in disarray, nothing was in any sort of order, it was the smallest area in the store, clothes were on the floor, nothing was in any specific place, it had the feel that a clearance rack exploded and it looked as if no one had organized it in a week. Well the rest of the store was in decent order for a Saturday afternoon; apparel was obviously matched and organized, even displayed on mannequins, I felt humiliated and embarrassed that I have no alternative but to shop in the Women's Plus Size Section. I have never felt like that in any other Women's Plus Size Section. Be it Sears, K-Mart, Macy's, Target, Burlington, Nordstrom, or J.C. Penny's I always felt welcomed and valued as a customer. That being my first trip to your brand of stores I would really like to give Kohl's a second chance, from what I saw I did think the rest of your appearance was pleasant (though there could have been more associates on the floor to offer help). But after encountering the Women's Plus Size Section I was so distressed I just wanted to leave your store. So I went to the nearest register got my father's day gifts and left the store. I did get a Survey request on my receipt and thought it would be a perfect way to share my discontent with my experience but when asked what size did I have trouble finding, it only went up to a 16 or a XL or I hade the option to choose Other. The Women's Plus Size Section wasn't even a choice on any part of the Survey.... Is that how little Kohl's cares about their Plus Size Customers? I did write a letter to Kohl's Customer Service to see if they give any explanation or offers of apologies, will update my review if anything new happens. Option as of now... "Kohl's Hates their Plus Size Customers, and does not even want them in their store." The only friendly and Helpful person I came in contact with was my cashier. read more
