The…read morepeople who work here are always excited and eager to help customers and their furry friends that walk in the door. I always bring my golden retriever, and snacks are always given and appreciated. But this review is mostly geared towards the dog wash. (I've never had an issue with any other product I've purchased from this location. Everything has been great, and gobbled up with quick enthusiasm.) I've used the dog wash at this location before, so I'm familiar with it. Pop the token in, select the shampoo button and away we go. The sales gal even made sure that it was disinfected before my dog got in. Much appreciated there. My problem came when there was barely any suds on my dog. Like, none. Same for the conditioner. The instructions say to scrub by hand then rinse off with the nozzel. I couldn't, it was like there wasn't any soap at all. I rinsed him anyway, used some of my own towels I brought to sop up the water on him, (I always do, his coat holds so much water), and then I put his leash on and walked him back up front to tell the gal what was happening. I don't want it to seem like I was "ignored", she addressed my concern, but made the excuse of "hypoallergenic soap doesn't really have a strong scent." So, we returned to the room, blow dried, and came back up to the desk to pay. Another employee was there now and asked how everything went. "Not to well, I don't think he's clean, there wasn't a lot of soap." To which he replied "well, it's a low flow." Low flow. I honestly feel like I paid $15 to get my dog wet and blow dry him. (I disinfected the tub myself before I left the room and honestly found more suds in the disinfectant than the "shampoo" option to wash my dog.) Fine. I feel like I was brushed off. Too bad, because I was actually looking to get some more dog treats while I was there today, but no thanks. I'll go to the other location in Citrus Heights and purchase what I need there. Thanks for having a clean store and a huge selection tho. The store is very well stocked and has so much for both cats and spoiled dogs.

Don't let the name fool you there is no membership feee. We recently discovered this store and we were completely blown away. We have 3 small dogs and was able to find beds, leashes and the best find was the special food at about 1/3 less than we have been paying. They have everything from fish (fresh and salt water)and fish supplies to dogs, cats, and so much more. Located right off highway 80 by the Roseville Automall and share a large parking area with Home Depot. Parking is a breeze allowing you to to get and out quickly.

I buy Nulo for my Yorkies and often try different kinds of raw food and sometimes the refrigerated type. Generally, their prices are lower than the big box stores. I made a mistake because I thought that something was two for one. And I got a attitude from the cashier when she had to have a manager come and void the sale. Sometimes she's super friendly. It's worth the savings and the good selection to have to brave her mood. the sale.

The inside is very big and spacious, but you are immediately hit in the face with a very pungent smell when you enter. I'm not really sure what the smell was exactly, but we got used to it pretty quickly. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman with vibrant green hair who was very knowledgeable and helpful. He let me know some of the items I would need and which products were the best. We walked around a bit and checked out all of the critters - from snakes, to different types of lizards, to scorpions, tarantulas and even cockroaches! My daughter settled on a very cute 3-4 month old Bearded Dragon that we took home along with some essentials like a rock cave, fake plant, water and food dishes and even some Mealworms and Silkworms! The Serpentarium offers lots of different meal options for your critters as well - which is nice to know that it is a one stop shop! They carry the best brands for all of your tank needs as well. We were helped by another employee once it was time to check out and she was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The Serpentarium staff made me feel very comfortable with my purchase and answered all of my annoying questions with ease which I really appreciated. The Serpentarium will also take any surrendered reptiles as long as it is during operating hours which is nice to know that people have an option if they have no other choice. We will definitely be back to The Serpentarium to pick up more things for our new baby very soon! Check them out!

I bring my client here since she got her cute kitten, Precious. After seeing that they have a…read morekitten program, I thought it would be nice to look into it for my kitten, Sophie. They are so wonderful with Precious. They are gentle, talk sweet to her and she can feel the good energy and intentions that they have. They suggested a kitten program that runs my client about $77 a month for 12 months where it includes the spay and the check ups (only) at no additional cost. It sounded great! So I decided I would schedule Sophie an appointment since I needed to get her spayed... except Sophie was about a month past the age limit on their kitten program and they didn't offer any other program where I could pay monthly for similar services. I ended up canceling my appointment here at Bandfield inside Petsmart. After Precious was spayed, the medication they suggest (anti-inflammatory meds) IS NOT included for the monthly price. Flea medication IS NOT included in the monthly price, either... and when she vomited 2 days after her spay appointment, they offered to do a check-up which IS included in the monthly price, but if she needed blood work, that IS NOT included in the monthly price... So.... after seeing what was NOT INCLUDED with this monthly price of a year long commitment... I'm glad my Sophie did not qualify for the Petsmart/Bandfield program. I got Sophie spayed elsewhere and I don't have a monthly cost. I have access to cheaper flea medication. If she needs a check up, the cost is cheaper than the monthly payments my client is paying, as well as other services at adorable pricing. In my opinion, this year long of a monthly price commitment is not worth paying for when the same services are offered elsewhere for a much better price.
