I was searching for some cookies nearby and came across Kokikoki. They had several delicious flavors available! The Nutella lava and the smores cookie butter were super dense, so I'd definitely recommend heating them up for a bit to soften them up, otherwise they can come across a bit dry. However the winning cookie for me was the mango sticky rice! It wasn't on the regular printed menu so it might be a seasonal item. But if you're lucky enough to catch it, definitely gotta grab that one! It's not often that you see mango in a cookie, let alone one that actually tastes good. The coconut cream on top softens up the cookie and the cookie itself had a nice texture/thickness to it. read more

I've been excited with new bakeries opening up with Asian flavors but many of them have failed to wow me. Unfortunately Kokokoki was not able to prove me wrong. The cookies themselves were quite expensive at $9 a cookie. They are decent size but all of them were pretty dry. the flavors didn't stand out as well. I came as a group so we were able to try all their flavors. they were all muted in flavor and we couldn't finish even one cookie. the matcha itself was good and came unsweetened which was fine as they had syrup you could add to your preference. however I probably wouldn't get it again as it was pricey at also $9 read more

We were trying to do a Top PDX cookie crawl... we made it to three bakeries. This was at the top. This was our first time here not being JinJu. We were prepared to spend some $$$ for cookies... they are pricey but delicious. We got three options: Nutella Black sesame Smores Our fav was Nutella, coming in next was black sesame.... The chocolate cookie was too subtle for us. These were really good, very tall, soft and very different from the typical cookie. I'm not really sure they would be categorized as a cookie, other than being round. They seem to be something else in there own lone category. It's not cakey, it's not buttery, not crispy, my wife said dense and light at the same time... tender, very fresh tasting, not undercooked cookie texture. You will just have to go try it for yourself and see how you would describe it. Side note: we got a thai coffee, it was a special. I'm not sure if they always have this or not, I sure hope they do. A modern spot with very minimalist interior design. Space is pretty small so takeout is common. We tried their Yuzu Pine Nut cookie and really enjoyed the texture and flavors! The yuzu curd was nice and refreshing. The center is soft while the outside had a nice delicate crunch. For drinks, the Clear Kagoshima Matcha was nice but could be stronger in my opinion. The Espresso Affogato was delicious though. Tasty softserve. Pricey for sure so good for a once-in-a-while treat. read more

We were pretty sad when Jinju closed and happy to see another baked goods/drinks place open in its place. We got one of each cookie except for the savory one and also the yuzu. The workers are both very friendly. Everything is packaged very neat and organized in the box even comes with a heating instructions, which can be heated in the box if wanted. Definitely recommend heating it up because it makes the experience a lot better. We tried a couple bites before heating and felt like it was pretty cookie dense. Heating it up makes the bite softer and evens out the cookie with the toppings; also makes the toppings more gooey and decadent. The Hojicha cookie had a white bean Center and white chocolate's all around, which was absolutely delicious with the taste of the roasted Matcha. The lava cookie was also really good but honestly warm Nutella makes anything really good. We also like the black sesame a lot. It had a good black sesame flavor. As much as I enjoy a specialty bakery/cafe, especially one highlighting Asian flavors, I felt that the food did not match the price tag. The cookies are small/medium sized and $9 each. I got the hojicha cookie and sampled the other flavors which my friends got. Some flavors (hojicha, matcha) were very mild and I felt that only the Yuzu flavor was my favorite and well-balanced in the cookie. My cookie was also on the crumblier, drier side. I'm not sure if that is just because of the flavor I chose. Their matcha is good, but not $9 worthy (and I've regularly spent $10 for outstanding matcha before). I like how they did not add sweetener but provide a simple syrup bottle for you to adjust as you prefer. Service is friendly, kind and so welcoming. They have a selection of 6-8 different cookies, and a beverage menu also. Ambiance is crisp, calming and simple. We tried 3 cookies, and all were amazing. I will definitely be back to try the ceremonial matcha. read more

These are dense and bigger than my palm! The flavors are excellent and not too sweet. It's kind of like a cookie and a scone. The matchas are excellent too! Again, not too sweet. If you want your drinks to be more sweet, they have a syrup for you to add to your liking. I ordered both the Shizuoka and Kagoshima - organic (ceremonial grade). The tea is quality. Both were iced. The Shizuoka came with oat milk as a dairy substitute. No coconut milk or soy milk here. They have almond milk and oat milk as a dairy substitute. The Kagoshima came with whole milk for my husband. Ok you might wonder, "How good can a $9 cookie be? And is it worth it?" Let's begin. For starters, the flavors are unique. Finding a spot with Hojicha/Miso Black Sesame/Earl Grey/Matcha, etc flavors all in one place is uncommon. Koki Koki is that spot. The cookies are thicker, dense cookies that will certainly fill you up. The flavors we tried were Miso Sesame, Hojicha and Matcha Ruby Strawberry. We also got a Matcha Affogato and a Vanilla Latte (Thai blend?) with oatmilk. The Hojicha was my favorite. It was a flavor I wasn't used to with the cookie being on the sweeter side but highly recommend. The Matcha cookie with the strawberry was my least favorite of the three. It was good but you have to find a spot on the cookie with the strawberry to get the two flavors together. I'd rather bite into the cookie and know I'll get both flavors. The Black Sesame cookie was also good. The Matcha Affogato had a yummy matcha over a soft serve vanilla ice cream. If getting one is on your agenda, make sure to come after 11am, this isn't offered earlier (according to their door signage!). The vanilla latte was a slightly sweeter than a standard latte but not very sweet to begin with. It was perfect to offset the sweetness of drinking it while eating their cookies. So to answer the questions, are they worth $9 and how good can they be? It depends. If you appreciate the unique flavors and are craving a cookie with it, these delicious cookies are worth it! If you aren't a fan of these flavors, you won't appreciate the craft of these cookies. read more

Elevated and balanced - these cookies are inventive and bring some surprising intensity of flavor. Sesame- wow- the sesame really comes through and better yet it's tender and chewy on the inside. It's rare to find something this intensely sesame that isn't at a dim sum restaurant- but they did it marvelously and put it in a perfect cookie. Simple matcha menu that was absolutely delicious. I got the iced premium matcha and the flavor was amazing. They have good sized cookies with many flavor options. We got the seasonal mango sticky rice cookie which was phenomenal. It had the texture of a rice krispje treat meats mochi and the mango flavor was wonderful.
