Boisenberry Sorbetto, lemon Basil and Fioritura (Topaz farm Hood Strawberry and Elderflower)

A good amount of flavors to choose from and some of my favorites were the lemon basil although the basil is strong it was quite refreshing. The tiramisu was also quite delicious and the berry boo was another milk free option that I was impressively flavored.

Service is always great when I've come in the past, I always forget to write a review! Lines can get lengthy esp during the warmer months, but lines move pretty fast. They always let you sample things and tell you all about what's in eat flavor which is so appreciated as someone who can't decide! Their fruitier flavors are always my favorite and safe to get when I can decide. I will say this time around there were less flavors than we usually see which was a bummer, but overall the flavor selection is still great. It's a small shop so be prepared to take your gelato to go and walk around and eat if there's no seats! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of cute shops around to do that and enjoy your gelato.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ;)

This has been my wife's favorite gelato spot for years, at least a decade. Even while we were dating. Food: Sesamo Nero (4/5) Rich and nutty with a strong sesame and caramel flavor. It was not for me, but my wife really liked it. Bacio Blanco (2/5) This one looked very promising, and I really wanted to like it. It has a thick dark chocolate layer, white chocolate ganache, and hazelnut. I love white chocolate and I love hazelnut, but the dark chocolate was too strong and overpowered everything. Neither my wife nor I ended up choosing this flavor. Tangelo (2/5) It was okay, but the flavor was very light. After tasting Bacio Blanco, my wife could not even taste it. I could, but it was only a faint orange flavor. Hazelnut and Vanilla (5/5) My favorite go-to combination. Hazelnut gives that light Nutella taste, and vanilla balances it perfectly with any other flavor. Service: Taste testing is encouraged and very helpful when deciding what to order. Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Usually it is packed and feels almost like standing room only. We went late at night this time with no line and only about six people sitting at the few small tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The new flavors are what pull my wife in. The classics are what I always go for. If you've never tried it, go and taste for yourself!

I'd come back for the pistachio gelato and get only one scoop, it was creamy with rich flavor

Favorite dessert spot in Portland to this day! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kind staff, cute interior, and incredible authentic gelato that tastes just as good as the stuff in Italy (if not better).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have permanent flavors (favorites are the pistachio and hazelnut) and special flavors that rotate every few weeks. The specials are always so unique and delicious, this time I go the Cassata and Pistachio with tangelo/kumquat jam and they paired beautifully together! They also have rotating sorbets for dairy free people or for when you want something a little lighter. Can't recommend this place enough! Run don't walk to get yourself some authentic Italian gelato!

We've been here a few times this summer. One of the rare spots in PDX where you can still get legit gelato after 9pm, open 7 days a week, 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Hours are accurate on Yelp and posted on their door, but the voicemail is outdated (probably too busy scooping to update it). It's one of the better gelato places in Portland, made fresh daily with local ingredients, including dairy-free options that still hit the sweet spot. You really can't go wrong with their seasonal or classic flavors. Affogato is my go-to here, especially with hazelnut or pistachio: $6.95 for a single, $9.25 for a double. Prices are on the higher end but still reasonable: -Small (2 flavors) - $5.95 -Medium (3 flavors) - $6.95 -Large (3 flavors) - $8.50 -Pints - $13.00 Service is mostly solid. They're generous with samples, which is appreciated, no attitude if you want to try a few. During busy rushes, though, things can get chaotic and you may get skipped if your group is unclear or staff gets flustered. Be patient! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating: Plenty inside. Outside, there are four small round tables on the sidewalk, two chairs each.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking: Free street parking in the area, but good luck finding it during peak hours or weekends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restroom: One stall, no toilet seat covers, and a posted sign that speaks for itself: PLEASE RESPECT THE USE OF THIS RESTROOM. IT IS BEING PROVIDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. DO NOT URINATE ALL OVER THE TOILET AND THE FLOOR. THANK YOU[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. (Yes, that's really posted.)

Absolutely love this place! Flavors are packed that tastes like you're eating the actual item straight up. My favorites are the amaretto (limited time), pistachio, and hazelnut. Go try it! They sell half pints and pints as well, and they give samples!

The gelato was good, a bit pricey but nice people working there. It's a fun little shop and seems like always a line.

This was stop two on our ice cream bike tour. They had a long line and were celery popular, offering Italian style gelatos and sorbets. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A quaint and classic ice cream shop, some seating outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the Champagne mango and just some small scoops since we had others to try. Good service, quick!

Cioccolato, Fioritura (Topaz farm Hood Strawberry and Elderflower), Pistacchio della Sicilia
    Marie K.

They don't have a larger variety. I tried five flavors and only two had real flavor. The prices are reasonable but the portions are on the small side. All in all not bad but not great either.

    Mango and pistachio
    Katherine G.

This gelato was highly rated and I made it a mission to make a stop on my way out of Portland! There wasn't much of a line and they do give samples which is always nice. I got the mango and pistachio flavors, both of which were delicious. The mango was so incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the pistachio was a classic well done. Such a great treat!

Reasonably priced and delicious gelato. You can try a few samples too. Courteous and friendly staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered my hazelnut (nicciolo) and the small size was plenty for me.

If I was a billionaire, I'd invest in this shop to open a second location by me in Maine. Small batch and homemade, these ice creams are luscious and delicious. This trip already I have visited once IRL and later I ordered a shake from them for delivery to my hotel, which was great! No drop in quality there and they drew a cute little note. There are no samples allowed and many signs notifying you of it. Grab a small, medium, or large cup and choose your flavors. Without samples, my partner got a flavor with a coconut base which is not his preference. A table of toppings and a cooler of toppings are available. There are a lot of choices, and some do make you wonder when they were set out / if they should be covered. Of course you pay by weight so you may want to be selective. Our two small cups ended up being $20 (! - I guess we weren't selective enough). We sat to eat, and noticed a number of gnats flying around. The decor is quirky - upbeat, bright lime green, but a little chaotic and worn down. Overall I think soft serve yogurt is a fun activity, and makes for a unique custom dessert every time, but the biz could benefit from some changes and a decor refresh.
