My friend put me onto this spot and it was so good. I really enjoyed their seasonal blueberry flavor. It tasted exactly like blueberries! The worker was super patient and nice with letting us try samples, which I really appreciate. Also liked how they offer a small size and it's actually small.

Pinolo serves up some of the tastiest gelato I've had in a while. Yes, there will be a line but it moves fast and the reward is worth the wait. I opted for the stracciatella and hazelnut and you better believe I finished every last bite. The flavors are so rich and milky. I look forward to trying their pistachio flavor next time!

A good amount of flavors to choose from and some of my favorites were the lemon basil although the basil is strong it was quite refreshing. The tiramisu was also quite delicious and the berry boo was another milk free option that I was impressively flavored.

A great dessert destination. If you're in the area for dinner, this is a nice way to add a dessert to your evening. And even if you're not in the area, you can get there by bus or car. Fantastic little gelato spot, unique flavors, friendly service. Bright indoor seating: And also some cute little tables outside. Even with a line one a weekend the service was quick & friendly. Favorite flavors tonight were these three: The Fragole e Panna (with Portland Strawberries in a Port Wine Reduction), the Crema Al Marsala (housemaid custard infused with rum and Marsala wine and bitter, orange and dark chocolate... a really great combination), and the Delizia Agli Agrumi (a citrus & vanilla infused gelato combined with a white chocolate ganache & sprinkled with pistachio) They cater events with their gelato bike too. And you can get pints to go.

A very tasty fine establishment ran by in Italian, as it should be, with delicious and refreshing options. Today being in the 90s, or it felt like it, the fruitier flavors like the Marion Berry with basil and the melon with the yogurt, which taste like vanilla went well together, and I really love Italian flavor flavors so that basil and the Marion Berry was just a great taste burst in your mouth. I'm not a fan of the small yellow Italian so they had it was very bitter and it tasted like I was drinking orange peel.. so unless you're like really bitter stuff, you're definitely gonna like this. I'm kind of curious about the red one that's available and then there's an orange cola type one which I'm really curious about which I knew I should've gotten. You really can't go wrong with the options. They have here. Small little cute place very very kind service and just refreshing overall for a summer day.

This has been my wife's favorite gelato spot for years, at least a decade. Even while we were dating. Food: Sesamo Nero (4/5) Rich and nutty with a strong sesame and caramel flavor. It was not for me, but my wife really liked it. Bacio Blanco (2/5) This one looked very promising, and I really wanted to like it. It has a thick dark chocolate layer, white chocolate ganache, and hazelnut. I love white chocolate and I love hazelnut, but the dark chocolate was too strong and overpowered everything. Neither my wife nor I ended up choosing this flavor. Tangelo (2/5) It was okay, but the flavor was very light. After tasting Bacio Blanco, my wife could not even taste it. I could, but it was only a faint orange flavor. Hazelnut and Vanilla (5/5) My favorite go-to combination. Hazelnut gives that light Nutella taste, and vanilla balances it perfectly with any other flavor. Service: Taste testing is encouraged and very helpful when deciding what to order. Ambiance: Usually it is packed and feels almost like standing room only. We went late at night this time with no line and only about six people sitting at the few small tables. The new flavors are what pull my wife in. The classics are what I always go for. If you've never tried it, go and taste for yourself!

Service is always great when I've come in the past, I always forget to write a review! Lines can get lengthy esp during the warmer months, but lines move pretty fast. They always let you sample things and tell you all about what's in eat flavor which is so appreciated as someone who can't decide! Their fruitier flavors are always my favorite and safe to get when I can decide. I will say this time around there were less flavors than we usually see which was a bummer, but overall the flavor selection is still great. It's a small shop so be prepared to take your gelato to go and walk around and eat if there's no seats! There's plenty of cute shops around to do that and enjoy your gelato. ;)

I'd come back for the pistachio gelato and get only one scoop, it was creamy with rich flavor

Favorite dessert spot in Portland to this day! Kind staff, cute interior, and incredible authentic gelato that tastes just as good as the stuff in Italy (if not better). They have permanent flavors (favorites are the pistachio and hazelnut) and special flavors that rotate every few weeks. The specials are always so unique and delicious, this time I go the Cassata and Pistachio with tangelo/kumquat jam and they paired beautifully together! They also have rotating sorbets for dairy free people or for when you want something a little lighter. Can't recommend this place enough! Run don't walk to get yourself some authentic Italian gelato!

Yesss new flavors this season! Perfect night cap for the fam after a stroll through Peacock lane. Thanks for the memories! My all time fave dessert spot in town!

    Gelato Affogato on the sidewalk

The gelato here is fantastic. They only have a few well curated flavors, with some rotating flavors and some regular. Rotating flavors often include local flavors or fruit. They are friendly and fast. Best of all they're gluten-free. They can answer questions about gluten and so far have been safe for celiac. I'm so excited that this place has gluten free gelato. In a town with a lot of gluten free dessert, this is a must. They have nice seating inside, drinking water, and a restroom. They also have great seating outside on the street. I love the affogato with straciatella.

Absolutely love this place! Flavors are packed that tastes like you're eating the actual item straight up. My favorites are the amaretto (limited time), pistachio, and hazelnut. Go try it! They sell half pints and pints as well, and they give samples!

The gelato was good, a bit pricey but nice people working there. It's a fun little shop and seems like always a line.

If I was a billionaire, I'd invest in this shop to open a second location by me in Maine. Small batch and homemade, these ice creams are luscious and delicious. They are not sickly sweet, and they don't need to be. They really let the flavors shine on their own. The thai iced tea is my favorite flavor, though the fresh banana is up there too. This trip already I have visited once IRL and later I ordered a shake from them for delivery to my hotel, which was great! No drop in quality there and they drew a cute little note. The service has always been amazing throughout the years. Got to meet THE Miss Oz herself one visit too! Scoops or in shake form, it's a must visit when we find ourselves back in PDX!

The vibe appears to be one of modern appearances, with old-school "ice cream parlor" ambiance (50s and 60s music is what is played, and I appreciate this). Variety of flavors is wide, and there are fresh cookies available. Prices are on the high side (location, though), the interior is very clean, and staff is very friendly and helpful. The cookies were disappointing, but not bad. Ice cream was on the better side of average, but is nothing groundbreaking. I definitely recommend stopping in for a fun experience if you're in the neighborhood.

Ok.... disappointments in order of appearance with the disclosure, up front that we were visiting them in their last 30 minutes open.... having no intention whatsoever to eat our treats there but also figuring we'd have time to try stuff, get stuff and be ok. First disappointment - we both really were looking forward to trying, and assuming we would be eating the flavor they've been promoting - peanut butter butterscotch. Sounds so good right? Well we wouldn't know, because both the gals behind the counter almost mocked us for even thinking that they would have it available. It was a weird flex... truly they didn't even have a marker for it or language saying they were out of it - they just said it was not available in a weird way. I asked permission to try a few flavors... and gal number 1 give me an enthusiastic yes , which I appreciated. I'm sorry but I always want to try so many things, realizing that with each try, most flavors are too much - or would be too much if I got an order of it. I try to only taste 2-3 but almost always end up ordering the one I don't try which is vanilla (yep, that is how I roll). I tried the boysenberry which was incredible but, too much. I then tried the mint chocolate and confirmed I still don't like theirs (I had forgot it very punchy mint, more like mouthwash than fro yo) but I always try it because I keep hoping they will change the recipe. Soooo... gal 1 went away leaving gal 2. It genuinely felt like we just got handed to the bouncer... I honestly felt afraid to try anything else because she immediately was very aggressive... like "What else" isn't a question but an order to GTFO. This intensified as my friend had questions because she's vegan, so making sure things are vegan and she was curious about getting a shake - more going for a blizzard situation. Gal 2 started lecturing her about flavors saying she was interested in too many (because M&Ms & vegan butterfingers apparently ate a ridiculous ask?). She was also saying it would be chunky - isn't that the point? My friend asked if she had had a shake there and was given a very stern NO. It was just a bit insane... like, I appreciate you are maybe wanting to close early but WOW. I said , I just want vanilla thank you... and I figured I would just order Oreos on top - again, simple. She then lectured me that they don't have that and was trying to add cookie dough... ummm... have you had an Oreo? That is a completely different flavor, texture and thing .... and no... I started asking if there was any fresh fruit or something and she seemed confused at the question... I walked almost to the register and saw marion berry compote. Yes, that's all please angry person... my friend took her time ordering while I practically ran out. I was just super uncomfortable. She had perfect eyebrows I really wanted to compliment her on but it has been a bit since I felt such strong GTFO vibes. I assume maybe she had a spicy customer before us earlier but eek. It's so true about every encounter. I'll definitely remember this one as being pretty unpleasant. My friend joked that gee, her shake was delicious even though it was apparently made with pure hate.
