Wow! What a hidden gem. Located in a small old strip mall next to OReilly Auto Parts store. According to the server, Jennifer (who was very nice and attentive), this place is one of two locations. This Anaheim location has only been here for 4 months. The strip mall doesn't look appealing, but Kokodeck is bright, like a new shiny penny! The restaurant is very clean & bright. They have booths and free standing tables. Also there is sushi bar, you can sit at. They have a few tv's to watch sporting matches. I also judge restaurants by their bathrooms, its nice and clean, appears to be well maintained. Now let's talk about their food. This is my second visit. They are a chicken food joint, plus more. Hence their name. The chicken sandwiches are yummy and inexpensive. I choose spicy level one, two was too spicy for me, but my husband likes more spice than me. He had spicy level 3 last time and its was super spicy, he was hiccuping! But he likes his food hot!! The chicken was crispy & moist, a decent sized portion. We also tried their spicy tuna roll. It was pretty good too. My first visit, a few weeks ago with my kids, I had the chicken katsu plate, it was okay. I like their chicken sandwich better. They have a pretty decent beer list for the type of restaurant. I'm looking forward in trying more of their food, like their ramen and wings. Service, they were quick to seat us and food came out promptly. The overall service is terrific. Jennifer, our server was super sweet. Both Jennifer and the chef said goodbye as we left and thanked us for our patronage. I'm sure when the word gets out, this place will be hopping!! I highly recommend this place. Decide to eat out but wanted to be somewhere close to home. Bf found this spot, we decide to take a chance. We ordered takeout. Ordered Koko Gang Jung, and crispy chicken sandwich, level 2. The crispy chicken was bomb.com but level 2 is a kicker ‍ spicy but delicious. A cold beer would've help. The Koko Gang Jung flavor Korean hot was astounding. 10/10 would get again. With all of the different choices of places to spend my money on dinner, I choose Kokodeck based on an almost perfect 5-star rating. This may have been where my expectations became unrealistic. Although the venue has a pick up order vibe, there was an inservice area. The service was great and the waitress was very friendly. When searching for a place to have friend chicken, I had not realized that this place was more of a Ramen/Sushi/Chicken blend and so on after thought, the high reviews may have very well came from the other half of the menu no relating to chicken. I say that because the chicken had all the excitement of a week-old piece of cardboard. It was as if their signature blend of blandness and unseasoned mediocrity was purposeful. I thought it was just my dish, but when my wife asked for Soy Sauce, Hot Sauce and Pepper, I knew she was experiencing the same lack of flavor that I was. You think I'm over exaggerating? It.literally tastes like they had tried to intentionally remove all possible hint of flavor from my dish and obviously my wife's dish as well. She had the Spicy Chicken Ramen. They could have given me a crispy, golden sponge that had never met a spice rack, and inwouldnt know the difference. I did have the habenara mango wings, and sans the sauce which came.on the side, the wings also.had no flavor. They were only.edible when dipped. This is in a small plaza next to O'Reilly and a nail salon. I only stopped by here because I went to the nail salon and wanted to try this place out. May it's today or me, I walked in, no customers just employees and was greeted right away and was brought to the order and pick up area to order food. I ordered Koko Gang Jung, 12 piece wings, and side of fries. Koko gang jung is pieces of the chicken thigh, It sounded good and i picked the soy garlic sauce and the sauce was mixed in but once I brought it home, it was hard to chew, like it was fried until it is dried out. A bit disappointed and ate what I can but I tossed out about 75% of it. No longer edible. 12 piece chicken wings - it was fried and almost dried and the sauces when you order ONLY comes on the side, because most Korean fried chicken places mixes their sauces in with the chicken. So if you need extra sauce, they charge extra. I ended up dipping the sauce, I wish it was mixed in the sauce to be a thicker consistency but the sauce itself is watery. The side of fries - obviously, I drove 10 mins home and it was sad fries but it was fine, I don't mind fries being a bit soggy, my fault for not eating it there. We decided on this restaurant thinking it was a hot chicken/tenders place, so the kids can order also, but it ended up being more of a fusion, which we did not expect. one of my new favorite chicken spots! i came in around 5:30 today for takeout and it took less than 20 mins to get the food. they also have an online ordering option and ordering kiosk in the store! the man, i'm assuming the owner, was super nice and brought our food out when it was ready. crispy chicken burger (regular spice) - 5/5!! the chicken was juicy and even with coleslaw and their house sauce on top, it still had a really good crunch. regular was an enjoyable heat level for me, and the slaw and pickles really helped to balance everything out. it was also a really good size for only $7. 2 tenders with fries (regular spice) - 5/5 also really good! good size tenders and the fries were really crunchy. also comes with some pickles, toast, and one side of their house sauce for only $10! overall everything was super yummy, the workers were kind, and the service was quick. will be coming back to try some other things on the menu! read more

Taste: 5/5 similar to Holdaak but this has its own real spice kick that no other places has. Real Korean spicy for sure! Unless you really can handle the spicy, just order mild or regular.
