If you're a coconut lover this is for you! I've never herd or tried anything like this but I thought it was really refreshing and unique. This place does not have a shop of its own, it's in a industrial building/area. As you know, most industrial buildings all have tinted windows with mostly no business signs just building number, so I literally could not find this place and it didn't help that there wasn't any large signs or anything, which is why I deducted a point as it was hard for me to locate this place. Once you do find this place, you have to ring the doorbell and they will let you in. I tried the Peach gum w/ Coconut pudding. It was very interesting , it wasn't too sweet but a light sweetened treat ($12). It's not like I didn't like it or anything, I just felt like it's not the dessert I prefer. For $12, It has to be really really worth it, but it was great trying this dessert! I also thought the price was high, which is why I deducted another point, especially where it was located too. To me, the price didn't match the location/environment. With that, I wouldn't come again. I feel like this place would do better or the price is worth it if it had a better ambiance. For instance this place with this price would do great by the beach like at the Huntington Beach Pacific City. So this in an industrial area but you can clearly see the sign for the Open Hood Kitchen Space. Parking is easy. You walk to the front and "ring the bell" on the sign. Someone comes out to take your order then goes back in and quickly returns with your cute to go package - a bag of coconut pudding, coconut flakes, and spoon. I got The mango coconut pudding and it was perfect! The mango was naturally really sweet and the coconut pudding is very light and refreshing. It's actually not the texture of normal pudding where it's completely soft. It's got a slight firm exterior but it's soft when you scoop it up. The balance was perfect! The container is cute but it's plastic and not glass. I don't have a preference, all containers seem wasteful to me lol but just pointing it out. read more

So, I heard about this place and thought I d give them a try. First, it was so hard to find it that I missed it the first drive over. Since I was staying at a hotel Nearby, I tho if by using give them another chance. I called to find out exactly where they were located. The receptionist tells me they have a shared kitchen with another outfit nearby. Ok, I understand these crazy covid times. So, I walk over and find the industrial kitchen location. I thought there was one door for both outfit but there are actually 2 doors. The outside signage is a bit timid visually so understand my situation. Anyhow, after ringing the bell, I didn't get any response. I glanced at the menu while waiting, I decided $10 for a pudding was too pricey. So, I never tried their desserts. The location is extremely difficult to find. It's inside the kitchen facility/business. There's a ring bell...you ring it, and someone comes to open the door for you. Once you're in, there's a few tables to sit, however, this is not the usually hang out, sit down, chill place to catch up or whatnot. There's a bunch of other kitchens/shop in the unit. The dessert is alright. Not sweet at all. I got the taro/red bean and the milk peach gum. Seriously, it is overpriced...not worth it at all. For two small dessert (size of a small (Mason jar), it was over $28. Worst off, when I used my card to pay for the items, the girl didn't know how to use it. I tried to help and I couldn't figure it out. She ended up calling her boss, but, ended up charging me twice. I told her so but she insisted it only went through once. This place was super good! I loved the coconut pudding base and all the unique flavors. The packaging and jars were very cute too. Taro: Tasted really good, a good level of sweetness for me personally! The texture of the taro and pudding are similar, so it does get a little boring, however, I'd still recommend it because the flavors complement each other! Mixed fruit: The strawberry, blueberry, and watermelon each brought its own unique taste and texture to the coconut base, which made it enjoyable to eat. This is not your typical dessert joint, but the quality of their pudding is spot on! It has a good coconut flavor considering that they use all natural ingredients and no additives. I got the watermelon coconut pudding and the golden kiwi pudding. I think the price point is not bad for the portion and the fruit to pudding ratio! In the kiwi pudding, there is almost 2 full golden kiwis in there! I think most vendors who rent the kitchen space in the building are mostly caterers, private chefs, or start up kitchens. I came here on a weekday evening and had a difficult time finding the location as they do not have a store front sign. Only until slowing down did I see the small chalkboard sign and realized that I was at the right place. There was no cashier table so I was still confused walking in. I was approached by a friendly person working at Kokonut Dessert Bar who then greeted me and gave me a menu. I ordered the Coconut Jelly with Strawberry. It was simple, healthy, and nice. Not amazing but nice. I would describe this as a very light flavored coconut jelly with fruit toppings, perfect for a healthy dessert or snack. It was a bit pricy to my liking, two dollar sign range. After trying, and very much enjoying, another coconut pudding place (Melo Melo) in San Gabriel, this location popped up nearby where I live. I came here recently and was not expecting for it to be located in a business industrial complex. The location and parking lot are dimly lit with no surrounding open businesses which makes it a bit hard to find if you don't know where it is. (the tinted windows also didn't help since after spotting the location, my first thought was that it was already closed) Again, I came in after 7-8pm but there was only one worker and she was already preparing an order for another waiting party, leaving us to wait for an order that had been made online previously. Ordered a number of flavors here (Mixed Fruit, Black Sesame, and Koffee) and all of them left me quite disappointed. The consistency of the pudding is a lot softer with very little bite and they were all also VERY light in flavor. Also, the container is also plastic. (If that matters to you.) Melo Melo, which in my opinion is a significant upgrade to this place, is opening a location close by in Irvine soon. But either way, my experience here was so meh that I don't think I'll ever come back or recommend it. read more

I have R & T pudding with taro and red bean which is served with dried coconut flakes. The pudding is pretty ok with natural sweet of coconut flake, but the taro and red bean are a little too much for the balance of flavor. Also, all desserts are very pricey from $10 to $18. Wow! Tun was so helpful during our first visit here. He let us sample some of the flavors because we weren't sure what to expect. He was so friendly - A+ customer service!!' The coconut pudding was vanilla-y sweet, but not TOO sweet- just perfectly sweet! The fresh fruit on the top was refreshing! We got the mango, taro & black sesame. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was drawn to the cute little container cups in the reviews, so I decided to give it a try. There isn't an obvious sign anywhere but on my last stitch effort to not leave empty handed, I finally noticed a little sign that told me to click on a Ring Camera Bell. Note that this is in a random industrial looking building. A few seconds later, a women greeted us at the door, directed us to a small table in the hallway and handed us menus. This is when I realized that this must be a shared kitchen space building. Anyway, the prices are super high! I would have normally walked away after noticing the prices on the menu, but I felt bad and felt like I should support small businesses. $6 for the taro milk, and mind you the containers are small! I agree that is was good and I enjoyed that it wasn't too sweet for me. $12 for the peach gum pudding. Kokonut Dessert Bar is located in The Hood Kitchen Space along with several other food services. I came around 11:45am & they told me they didn't have the Mango Flavor. Bummer!
