The counter is a bit tight. It's more of the place where you just do take out. It was a little hard to find and since it is dark with no open signs, I thought it was closed. WHAT I GOT: Coconut Pudding With Watermelon - the pudding's consistency is thick and creamy, it had the right amount of sweetness and the watermelon was super refreshing. Love that they used fresh and real fruit for it. Coconut Pudding With Peach Gum - coconut pudding is the same but the peach gum wasn't my cup of tea. It was good but it's just not my thing. I've never had coconut pudding before, so this was a unique experience. I tried their sesame and matcha flavors, and both were very tasty (especially with the coconut flakes on top). These lasted a few days in the fridge and were great to snack on, and they are a lot healthier than your typical desserts which is a plus. It did have a weird aftertaste in my opinion, but I'm going off of no past experience eating pudding like this so there is really nothing that I can compare it with. This place is so bomb!! We came during covid times, they kept safe measures and took our orders from outside the store and we waited outside and got our orders fairly quick. We came on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. Parking is very easy in this plaza and service was very good. We ordered two mango coconut puddings and a mixed fruit. My cousins and I decided to try out a new dessert place in the area, and we decided to try out Kokonut Dessert Bar. We came at night, so the alleyway was dark, and industrial buildings surrounded the area. This is the start of the terrible experience at Kokonut. Once we found the spot, we had to press a Ring doorbell to have them open the door for us. We seriously thought we were at the wrong place, and the vibes were eerie and off-putting. The girl who helped us had bright pink hair and our group told her how we wanted to order, and she said she could take our order inside. Once we finished ordering, I realized I forgot to use the Yelp Check-in offer. "1 Free Mango with 1 Mango Purchase" My group ordered one mango pudding and two strawberry puddings so that the reward would be redeemable. I tell the girl I forgot to redeem it and is it okay if I can use it now. She says, "Oh, that expired yesterday, sorry." I replied, "It's still on here, though, so how could I know it expired?" And the girl shrugs and goes, "sorry." First, she doesn't welcome us whatsoever; she just opens the door and says, "You guys can come in," She gives the worst customer service I've ever had!! The whole time she was rude and treated everyone like they were stupid. Another group came in after we ordered, and they asked, "So can we order here?" Yes, an instagram post drew me to this place. Although Kokonut doesn't have a regular business front, getting to destination isn't too difficult. Once you get in, a staff member provides you with menus. My family ordered the coconut puddings with peach gum, strawberries, and by itself (the original). It was only a 10-15min wait for everything to be made, and because they have some tables in the hallway, we were able to eat on the spot. I can say this is a very refreshing and healthy dessert. The coconut pudding alone isn't sweet but still tasty in flavor. I recommend the peach gum as a flavorful combination with the pudding - also not too sweet. It's pretty a simple dessert, and I could imagine you could make it at home too. I wouldn't necessarily come back here because of the steep prices.
