The space itself is really nice--spacious, high ceilings, lots of natural light, and (important to me) plenty of bar seating. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, though yes... Location-wise, it's just around the corner from E Atlantic Ave, which makes it easy to get to without being overrun by the tourist crowds that stick strictly to the Ave. This most recent visit was just for drinks and, surprisingly, dessert (rare sweet tooth moment). I asked what they had and immediately went with the mochi ice cream--no regrets. Four flavors that tasted like green tea, vanilla, strawberry, and mango, all drizzled with rich chocolate and topped with whipped cream. Definitely hit the spot. So yeah--recommend.

I barely tasted truffle and I would think it would have came with more pieces, at least 6-8. Overall, tasted good 3) Beef short rib skewer ($9)- comes with 2 skewers of bite size pieces was underwhelming, a bit pricey. The Korean style beef was okay, but I needed to add eel sauce for some extra flavor. The 1/2 California Roll, gyoza and side salad with ginger dressing were fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the sushi roll the most. My two coworkers both ordered different types of sushi rolls. One had fish and the other was a sweet potato roll. The restaurant packed both of the rolls in the same box, which resulted in a mess, as the sauce on one roll got mixed in with the other roll. Again, this was take-out, so I am sure we would have had a different experience if we ate in the restaurant. I would like to try this restaurant again. Next time will be a dine-in meal instead of take-out.

The sushi was decent. There was too much rice used and too much going on top of the sushi pieces for my liking, but I still managed to finish them. The servers were welcoming and the manager was very hospitable checking up on me to make sure I had everything that I needed. Will definitely recommend this place to others. Even the espressos arrived lukewarm. Both the mushrooms and espressos were comp'd--a $15 adjustment--which felt insignificant given the overall experience. The only real highlights were the drinks: a Caymus Sauvignon Blanc that was excellent, along with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and Frangelico. After spending $850 (including tip) for three people, this experience was a major disappointment. Sadly, we won't be returning.

He was very gracious. We loved the ambience as this particular location has turned over several times in the last few years. It was very inviting and cozy. Our server, James was very kind and attentive and paid attention to detail. We will definitely be coming back!
