    Mazesoba Deluxe XL.

The portions are good for the XL. The mixture for the Mazesoba is not bad, but I wouldn't say it's these are the best noodles I've had, the consistency could be better. The service was okay, the staff were nice however I'd wish they offer tea or water more often. Overall, a good experience, I've came to this location several times if I ever crave noodles around the area.

Great mazesoba! Very tasty. I've come back a few times and get the same thing, deluxe mazesoba. Boyfriend got the spicy one and enjoyed it too! It's a bit rich but vinegar cuts it and you get to add rice at the end to soak up all the sauce!

I never tried soupless ramen before so the concept was kinda weirded me out. I ordered the food to go & it took a while for it (around 20-30 mins) since it was a busy night. Each portion of mazesoba comes with a small bowl of rice. When I ate it at home, it was just Delicious from the first bite! My family agreed with me and it has been our new favorite ramen. The noodle was chewy yet firm. The major factor was the flavor! Each type has bold hearty flavor. My dad mixed the rice in because the flavor was too strong for him and it did help toning down a bit. All the toppings worked deliciously for each dish. - niku mazesoba: the chasu was tender and delicious. The minced pork has strong umami flavor. This was my favorite as it had the most complete toppings - spicy mazesoba: it was the spicy version of niku and still delicious! My hubby liked it but it was too spicy for me. - tokyo mazesoba: if you want less protein but want full flavor, get this. The minced pork itself was flavorful and tasty. - shio mazesoba: this was similar to regular ramen but with no soup. The taste was still delicious but we prefer the other three.

Very different from your usual ramen . . It's more like pasta with different toppings. . It was really good! Very tasty! Service is very friendly and fast! Gyoza is good too!

We're glad that our family from Coquitlam took us to this place. First time eating soupless ramen and we're pleasantly surprised how tasteful it is. A few drops of their house vinegar enhance the flavor. They also have good appetizers. The ambiance is authentic and the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

$45 for 2 x Tokyo Mazesoba, 2 x ice-cream in a cup and tips. They probably deserve a 4 star but my friend and I were annoyed at our sever constantly checking up on us every few minutes, hence the 2 star. And one of us were finished eating while the other wasn't and she collected empty dishes and asked if we wanted dessert. She starred at me without almost blinking when I was paying, it made me feel so bloody uncomfortable! When we finished, she kept checking on us over and over again. After we paid, we wanted to relax for a few minutes before we left, but we didn't because she still hovered around us and it annoyed the schnitzels out of us so we left. I probably shouldn't have left her a generous tip but I did for the food because the food deserved it. Feedback for improvement: Leave diners alone to dine in peace without having them feel like they have to hurry up! They don't come here for you to baby sit them. Check once and when it's obvious they need you. I truly disliked the fact that we were so uncomfortable because of a helicopter server.

A solid 4 start for this Ramen chain from Tokyo Japan! Famous for their Mazesoba ( dry mix ramen ) brothless ramen, they also cook up awesome ramen with your choice of chicken or pork bone broth ... the chain gain popularity very fast in the lower Mainland, with locations in Vancouver downtown, UBC & Coquitlam. Highlights ... Szechuan Ramen - Seasonal Limited You can choose from a lighter Chicken Broth or a creamier Pork Bone Broth, on my two occasions I tried both and they were equally great! I really like the texture of their Ramen noodles which is of the thinner variety, more like the Cantonese style noodles, it still has a bite when it is presented to you, my suggestion is to enjoy the noodles first and savour the topping after with the broth! Pork & Veggie Gyoza Juicy & flavourful, it is more to the Shanghai style where the wrappings are a tiny bit thicker then the normal Japanese style. Still, it presents more texture when you bite into it! The bottom is pan fried till crispy & golden brown! Dip it in the house made gyoza sauce or I prefer to use their own Vinegar mix with pepper flakes to give it an extra kick! Decor & service both outstanding, as it presents a clean & modern atmosphere! I am glad to see the more famous ramen shops willing to expanding into the "suburbs" and not only limited to the "ramen row" in downtown Vancouver any more!

I've had kokoro in their downtown location before, I recall it being a place to grab a delicious bowl of dry mix ramen with exceptionally attentive service. Although the decor & wait times were acceptable at this location, I was disappointed in the staff's lack of attentiveness to wait our table. If the store model is for staff to wait a designated section of the store, then my waiter basically only took my order, never touched base since. Alternatively, the wait staff for the table over checked in with her patrons at a suitable time interval, offered water refills and did the full service that kokoro is known for. Food wise, still great. I enjoy the dry but sauciness aspect of the overall mazesoba dish, particularly enjoying the bounciness of the noodles & ramen egg! It's been a while since I last dined at kokoro, I forgot that I'm not a big fan of the deep fried chunks of fatty meat. Note to self: order the dish without fatty chunks of meat, look at the pictures closely. If I wasn't a regular patron, I wouldn't know that this dish is offered with a small scoop of rice as the final hurrah of the dish. Looping back to the unattentiveness of our server, my table and I waited and eyed her signaling that we were finished and ready for the next, still no one got to us in the next 15minutes. By the time the server of another table came to us, basically wanting the table back due to line forming at the door, we were settled & full from our meal, disappointed and ready to go. Overall decent food as a chained (?) ramen joint, on the higher price range, only acceptable with an equally high level of service.

Having previously ordered a meal on DoorDash before, I figured I'd try the restaurant in person. Stopped by with the lady on the way home from some errands. Decided to eat a early dinner and dropped in right before happy hour. Ordered the Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba for myself, and the lady ordered a Mince Bowl. Time to serve was a bit slow, but most likely due to being understaffed that hour, the waitress that handled our stuff was nice to check on us a couple times. The mentaiko mazesoba was pretty good for the most part, I expected more of the spice or kick from the Mentaiko but it was fairly muted. Overall flavors were still creamy, with good seasoning from the meat and green onions. The Mince bowl was your standard mince bowl, nothing out of the ordinary, did come out very fresh though! Flavors were fine. The hokkaido crème cup was pretty tasty, wasn't too sweet, and had a very creamy texture. If you like Soft Peaks, you'll definitely like the ice cream here. 〇【Menu Items Ordered】 ・Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba, $17.95 ・Mince Bowl, $8.45 ・Hokkaido Crème Cup, $5.75 Ttl: $32.15 CAD (tax excl.) 〇【Personal Scoring】 ・Food/Drinks: 3.5 ・Service: 4.0 ・Atomsphere: 4.0 ・CP: 3.0 〇【Misc memo】 ・NFC Contactless Payment ・Vegetarian available ・Full Bar ・Street parking available ・Take-out available

Limited time ramen with the highest level spice challenge

Think this was the Tonkatsu ramen. Got the spiciest level which they double checked to warn me against. Definitely the spiciest noodle I've ever had. After a couple bites, my mouth was burning so much every preceding bite was more painful. I had to take a lot of break, drink water, and wipe my profusely sweating face between bites. I could tell the flavor was good but my tongue was gone. I enjoy the refreshing feeling after eating deathly spicy food though. 8/10 overall

It's the Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba we know and love from downtown, except now it's a little more accessible for those of us who live out in Burnaby/Coquitlam! I was only able to order takeout as the restaurant hasn't reopened for dine-in service yet, but I wasn't disappointed with the taste! I feel like the portions might be a little smaller when doing take out than when dining in; it both looked and felt that way. They still do give a bit of extra rice for free to mix in at the end, but the portion was pretty small. The salmon avocado don wasn't bad; I liked the soy marinade on the salmon. I like how they adapted to takeout service by exchanging the raw egg yolk for a soft boiled half egg, and I thought their packaging was both aesthetic and more eco-friendly than plastic or styrofoam. Good to know I can come back here in the future if I don't want to make the trek downtown!

Mazesoba has always intrigued my gf and I. Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba was something that popped up on out instagram feeds from time to time so we wanted t ogive it a try! Parking is easy with a parking garage out back and some street side as well. Seating was plentiful so we were seated right away. We started off with the Pork Gyoza and Takoyaki. I decided to get the Niku and my gf got the Zenbu. The gyoza was nice and crunchy with wonderful seasoned ground pork. The takoyaki had tons of bonito flakes and had a good drizzle of the sauce. The process of eating the Mazesoba is part of the experience. Being able to mix all the ingredients and adding your own sauces to you liking is kinda fun! Both bowls were very tasty and had a good potion of meat and toppings which is always welcome in my books! Overall we were super happy and stuffed. They have a lot of options to choose from so we definitely will be back soon!

Honestly we didn't know what to except when we first rolled up. But its good to know that they have their own (though limited) parking area in front of the restaurant. The restaurant did have a bar kind of vibe, but I think its mostly due to covid. Lots of local and small restaurants had to adjust. Making more space for take out order and leaving more space for customers to spread out. Once seated the menu was super straight forward. Ramen Ranging from $15-$17. Broth made from pork, beef and chick bones. Noodles made in house (which is amazing). They are also offering Korean comforts like Gukbap, [a comforting, traditional Korean dish consisting of hot soup served with rice.] - google ai . Perilla Ramen, a Korean sesame leaf or grounded seed, bringing a nutty flavour to the dish. Of course if you're feeling like sharing then they have some dumplings and fried chicken to share. We specifically wanted to order the Smoked Pork ($10.25). It did not disappoint. It had a good ratio of fat and meat and it melted in the mouth. Very little chewing needed. The pickled radish was a fantastic and refreshing palette cleanser. I think the only disappointing part was that there wasn't enough pork. We also ordered: Regular Ramen $14.95 Perilla Ramen $16.75 I believe that all the ramens come with a nice chunk of smokey fall-apart pork, a jammy egg and green onions. But I do love how they had the corn, spinach and mushroom on the side (for those picky eaters). Ramengers feat. Smoking Pig are doing something right for sure! I heard that the spicy ramen is highly raved about. I'm excited to try it on my next visit. Keep up the good work! Also check their socials for updates.

The menu is simple and you would expect the quality to be very good. However I was very disappointed. The broth is a pork bone broth but on the lighter side. Not much oils or fats in it. The price is really good for a bowl of ramen that includes an egg, chashu, and some side veggies. The soup did not come piping hot though. The noodles are the worst part. They are super soggy from the very beginning and worse than instant noodles. That is where the majority of the score is lost. Another thing is that the spicy ramen level 3 is extemely spicy. Like a level 7 and higher. Not recommended for anyone looking for medium spicy. Since this is a korean japanese fusion, they serve perilla ramen and fried chicken. The fried chicken had a different batter than other korean fried chicken places. It's nice and crispy but the downside is that there is too much batter and the chicken is not juicy at all.
