No lie, kolaches in general are one of my all time favorite foods. Kolaches is a Czech pastry, usually sweet with a pocket of fruit filling. In Texas, we got the savory version of it usually filled with some sort of meat, mainly sausage. I grew up on these things and they always hit the spot. It is really hard to mess them up. Some places are superior to others due to the dough or the quality of the ingredients they put inside. I would say Kolache Factory is one of those places that does use the best ingredients to make great products. This location is in a shopping strip with a bunch of other food spots. It's pretty large inside and it always seems to have a steady crowd inside as well as taking food to go. Customer service is always great. Almost on every occasion I have been in, I get some sort of freebie either by my good looks or maybe it's because I use their app. I like to think it's the first part. I have my go to places in Pearland and have driven by Kolache Factory for years. That was until recently when I was delivered a tasty treat to my office. I took one bite and thought I've been depriving myself of this place for years. It was that same weekend I visited this store. If you're gonna name your store after a type of food, you better go all out and showcase that item in different ways. They do that here with a huge variety of different kolaches. They have the usual fruit and sausage kinds, but they also have some very unique items. They have filled croissants, Korean beef, pepperoni, brisket and chicken enchilada to name a few. Their sausage and cheese uses top quality sausage and is a must get. Another favorite is the ham and cheese croissant. It is filled with scrambled eggs, ham and cheese is a meal in itself. If something sweet sounds good, they have different fruit options as well as things like cinnamon rolls, muffins and twists. You can wash it all down with coffee, tea, or a cold drink. So many options here. This chain started in Houston and has expended alot to different areas including outside of Texas now. I do like to support local, but when it comes to kolaches, this place is top tier. I will definitely be back! read more

First visit in Houston and our local friend took us to Kolache for a quick bite.  I didn't know what a Kolache was before this trip and glad I got to taste this deliciousness. So many flavors and choices to choose from! With Yelp check-in you get a sausage and cheese kolache for free. The 2 of us share: Korean Beef Croissant, Pepperoni Pizza, Brisket and a cream spinach. Be sure to ask for it to warm up because it tastes so much better! The Korean beef was too spicy for me, however perfect for my hubby.  My favorite is the original sausage with cheese and the brisket. Love these soft warm buns! Turns out there's a couple location in So Cal/OC area, but that's still a drive for me in LA. Hopefully Kolache will expand in LA area, if not then I will have to come back to TX. read more

This place is great! The service is consistently exceptional no matter which employee you get. The kolaches are good and they've got a nice variety including monthly specials that are typically a hit. My faves are the chicken enchilada and the sausage & gravy. Other standouts include the ranchero, pepperoni, and steak and cheese. If you've got a sweet tooth, any of the fruit kolaches will do the trick or the yummy cinnamon roll. Wash any (or all, lol) of this down with one of their perfectly brewed iced lattes and you've got yourself a quick, deliciously fresh tasty morning treat. I've got to circle back to the customer service one more time. Very great workers here. Thanks for always providing an exceptional experience whether inside the restaurant or in your drive-thru. They are very patient btw. With all of the great selections newbies easily become overwhelmed by the options and have a hard time deciding what to get but the workers are understanding and patiently wait for patrons to decide. I know b/c I've brought several out of towners here and they've all been overwhelmed by the menu. *I'll leave you with one tip, check-in on Yelp for a free kolache with your purchase! Service is friendly. The food is a bit inconsistent as I went on a Monday morning and the chicken inside the Chicken Enchilada Kolache was not fresh. When I bit into it, the chicken was a bit hard like it was old. Very disappointing. Plus I've been twice and the bottom of it is always greasy looking and I've not seen it that severe at other location. The sausage & gravy was ok. I'm use to the sausage being more finely chopped within the gravy. I guess the other locations freshness/attention to detail has spoiled me a bit. I don't mean to be a "karen" but better care can be taken when making the Kolaches, as I have had them made correctly here before so I think it's just a consistency issue. read more

Not sure if this is a family run establishment, but employees need major training. They have no idea what they offer at the store (no idea about the seasonal items posted in the drive-thru, no idea what types of milk they have) and have had the same woman overheat the kolache to the point that even after cooling it for almost 10 minutes, it burnt my toddlers mouth. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen if you don't better train your employees. read more

Kolache's are a Houston/Texas thing. We got a bunch for the road home. We had some sweet (cherry and cream cheese) and a number of savory. They are usually $2 or $3 each and are about the size of the palm of your hand. What are they? They are a stuffed dough ball that is baked. I come here most mornings as it is right next door to a Starbucks, so very nice with my morning coffee. I use the app and get the rewards for kolaches, even though it takes me ordering roughly 50 kolaches to get 1 for free with the app. I usually get the ham and cheese kolache, which is like a little doughy ball (delicious bread, so buttery and sweet) filled with super small diced ham (also delicious, if not a little watery) and swiss cheese melted all around the inside for one great bite. Only complaint about the kolache is the ham pieces are so small when I'm nearly done with the kolache and theres not enough bread to hold them in they start to spill out and kind of get everywhere. Depending on the day, service is usually fast given how busy it is, and the manager definitely knows his stuff - super friendly and quick. The girl with the galaxy visor is usually also fast, but the other girl that works the drive through doesn't feel fully trained even though I've seen her there for months. DO NOT GO HERE! Took 15 min to order in the drive thru (was only behind 1 car), kolaches were cold despite being told they were warmed up, and my kolache was missing cheese (I ordered a Sausage and cheese kolache... should be pretty simple). If I could give them a 0/5, I would. The location in River oaks is fantastic and never disappoints. Definitely will not give this Pearland location my business. read more

This is by far the biggest and fanciest kolache shop I've ever visited! I arrived around 10am and opted to go inside rather than use the drive thru. Very spacious, tons of tables and a few booths and one the other side of the room there is a living room set-up. Fireplace, tv, coffee table, comfy chairs...you will feel right at home. They still had a great selection even thou it was close to lunch time. I got a sausage and gravy and a bacon and cheese, both were fresh and very tasty. read more

I went to this location today, not a good experience today. First I went through the drive thru, my mistake the guy working drive thru only wanted to do I car at a time, so I waited. Next when I get to the window because it's cold this morning he barely opened the window I had to reach to give my credit card and get my food because didn't put in a jacket so he could do his job. Ordered 4 ham and cheese which she wrote down on my order of 11 kolaches....I got 4 egg sausage and cheese instead.

As a kid I did not really enjoy this place but now I love it. The love loss was due to only eating the basic Kolaches which I don't find very appealing. The chicken enchilada, Jalapeño popper, ranchero and the specials are really great and keep me coming back. The jalapeño popper is probably my favorite, the cream cheese and that smoky bacon with just the right amount of spice are so yummy. read more

We have been getting kolaches from here since my 2 kids were toddlers; kolaches are kid friendly finger food! I tried their new Boudain kolache today. Too much & too tough a dough compared to boudain kolaches from the local donut shops (and I've tried most if not all the local shops). Try using a lighter dough like you use for croissants (or make one flakier than your usual kolache dough). It's not working the way it is. read more

I don't understand why this place has 2.5 stars because it is not bad here. I love the big sign that says on the front window, "buy three, get three free". When you walk in, it is spacious and clean! It was my first time seeing a kolache this nice. Plus, there is a nice couch and TV as their "living room" area. There was a line and people dining in, so it is not an empty place. The kolaches taste the same like any other kolache factory at other locations. The customer service was nice and quick. I'm giving a 4 star because my kolaches were cold/warm but all I had to do was ask to heat it up and they did. My faves are the chicken enchilada and the sausage/jalopeno/cheese! Service was very quick. We went through the drive thru. Our server was very nice. She asked if we wanted the kolaches warmed, which we did, and she complied. I wish they were heated up a little more than they were. The kolaches tasted good. We wish the dough was a little more substantial. I go to this location quite a bit. It is always good. The selection is great, everything is always fresh and clean. A little tip to know is if you go after 130pm everything is half off. They close at 2pm. I don't suggest the drive thru it moves slow. But go inside I can get in and out in under 3 minutes. read more

The kids working here mean well, but I have never had my order correct. Ever. At least one kolache is not the one I ordered every time I have come here. They switch it out easy enough, but it is frustrating. Sometimes my food is hot, fresh, and delicious, but most of the time it is a bit stale. The bacon here is very fatty, almost raw. The potato is incredible. Always enjoy anything with potato in it. Sweet ones are usually pretty good. This is an OK option if nothing else is available, but definitely needs some work. read more

The variety of Kolaches and pastries is immense so save yourself some time and trouble by going online and looking at their menu before rolling up to order.... You'll stare at the menu for 5 minutes and hold up the line..... BELIEVE ME!!!
