I have been wanting try this place out for a while now. Came here with one of my friends for lunch to try it out. The staff here were really nice and I liked the aesthetic of the restaurant. I got the Pick 2 Sushi Combo w Salad. The Ginger Salad had good flavor to it, I just wish the greens were a bit more bite sized. The sushi here was okay, it had a slight fishiness to it though. I did like their sushi rice it had a good consistency/bite. The Matcha Tiramisu was quite good, not too sweet and the perfect amount of matcha. I would come back to try the Donburi or Ramen.

First, this location has a small parking lot because it's a small space. DO NOT BE FOOLED! I highly would recommend going for lunch. Their lunch special is amazing. (See: menu photo) Also, because it is not a large space, it create a very intimate environment. The pricing and options in the menu are perfect for a date night and are adequately priced. Try the spicy crispy salmon or spicy crispy tuna. It's a unique take that I've not ever tried but may have to go back just for this. The service was extremely quick and perfectly took care of all our needs. All in all, I'd go back. I'm leery of going on a weeknight because the space likely fills up quick but worth the wait.

Went with several friends for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant probably has about 10 tables total, so it is not that big. We ordered each type of food on the menu (sushi, rice bowl, ramen, dumplings) . The sushi wasn't bad- just a basic tastes and nothing fancy. The ramen was mediocre - one of them was okay but the other one that my friend ordered said it had no flavor and tasted just like water and salt. The beef rice teryki donburi was not good at all, we actually sent it back. The meat was super tough and not juicy. It looked like it wasn't seared at all and but boiled. It also had no flavor. In the picture is the chicken katsu curry, which was better but not great but was filling.

Kombu exterior and interior is trendy and cozy. This building has parking spaces for convenience. It's located on Aloma Ave in Winter Park, so I've eaten here a handful of times over the years for a quick lunch. They use to have a Galbi lunch, but it's since been discontinued. Kombu offers a fair selection of sushi and lunch menu during the day. Soup or salad comes with the entrees. The miso soup was standard but better than most sushi spots in town. I felt their ginger dressing tasted more like vinaigrette than ginger. We only ordered the Eel Donburi and Steak Bento Box since we were rushed for time that day. The eel was good, but average compared to other sushi restaurants and served over long grained rice. The steak was chewy, yet the teriyaki sauce was flavorful so it made up for the dish. You can't go wrong with California roll. The sushi was also mediocre. I'm allergic to Escolar and Tilapia raw so when I asked the server if I could switch out the item, I was told it wasn't possible. Unless I opted for all California Roll and no sushi pieces. The service was lackluster. The gentleman who waited on us seemed to lack confidence in his knowledge. He didn't bother asking management regarding my allergy comment to raw Escolar or Tilapia. Also, he didn't come back to check on us about our experience. Only the assistant server refilled our water. Overall, if you're looking for a quick bite with no expectations, this restaurant is the one for you. I don't know if I'd come back again, but if I had to, I would probably give it one last chance to redeem themselves, I'm all for supporting local small eateries, however, it has consistently disappointed me so far. To be fair, maybe I'll try all sushi and rolls next time in hopes that there's improvement in food and service. I try to root for small businesses to succeed.

Cute sushi spot! Very intimate with a limited amount of seating. Rolls were fresh and fairly priced. Sat next to the sushi station and could watch the food being made. Also ordered the takoyaki which was delicious. Our server was present and polite. Would definitely go again :)

Ohhhh wow, is this going to become my new go-to sushi spot? Normally I have a place that I automatically go to when I want sushi. It's familiar, decently priced, and not far. In contrast, Kombu is about 5 minutes further from my usual place, a little more expensive, but the quality is better, and the place is nicer. They have decently priced lunch specials. Also, Kombu seems to have more authentic Japanese items, including Takoyaki which is one of my favorites. I'm really looking forward to trying more of their food.

Definitely the perfect time to grab some fresh sushi for lunch. I was greeted as soon as I entered the location. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the whole time I was there. My pick during this time was their pick 2 lunch special. That is a total of 16 pieces of sushi in total for only 13.95 ,basically 14, dollars. I tried the Tampa and Crunch roll. Also, the chicken karaage since I normally enjoy that at most sushi places. I would definitely come back for lunch or dinner again. Everything tasted fresh and left a great memory for me. I love the openness within the restaurant. It made it seem bigger than it actually was.

Adding another review to suggest the Shrimp Katsu Curry. The Katsu Shrjmp has a delicious crunch and flavor! The curry base with veggies and rice are a simple alternative option for a hearty and savory meal. Definitely need to try the other food options on the menu other than ramen and sushi!

Stopped by DOMU while visiting Orlando, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip…read more The restaurant has a modern, welcoming atmosphere with a clean interior and a lively energy without feeling too loud. The seating was comfortable, and despite how popular the restaurant is, everything felt well organized. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends. The ramen absolutely lived up to the hype. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with deep umami flavor without feeling overly salty or heavy. You could tell it had been simmered for hours because every spoonful had so much depth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--firm and chewy with just the right amount of bite, so they held up well in the broth from the first bite to the last. The biggest surprise of the meal was actually the chicken wings. I ordered them because they seemed to be a popular appetizer, but they ended up stealing the show. They were incredibly crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and coated with a flavorful glaze that had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and a little bit of heat. I can definitely see why so many people recommend ordering them alongside the ramen. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I can see why DOMU is considered one of Orlando's top ramen spots. Between the flavorful broth, perfectly textured noodles, unforgettable chicken wings, and welcoming atmosphere, it was a meal that exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Orlando.

Sip & Savor 2026 Review!…read more Wow, it's been just over a year since I've been back to the OG Domu in Audubon Park at East End Market. We decided to go try for a table as the Sip & Savor promo was going and on this weekend afternoon it had rained hard so we thought the crowds would be dissipated. Spoiler alert, they were not and we walked into a 2-hour wait! Folks, Domu does not take reservations so you almost always have a wait! Keep in mind that the wait time they quote is often higher than what you'll actually have to wait. In any event, we will were lucky to get a seat at the busy bar then the other seat when the guest eating alone got up and left (Nice)! The menu is largely the same. It hasn't changed much over the years. Yes, they have seasonal specials from time to time but they are relying on their classic goodness that has sustained them for 10 years. Keep in mind, much has changed in the past 10 years, including in the ramen scene. Nevertheless, the drink menu has their classic cocktails and some new ones as well. At the bar we had a couple beverages and we also tried the bok choy appetizer. The bok choy is charred and comes with a lemon slice and is a simple, yet delicious, first dish to eat. At about the 1 hour and 10 minutes, our seat always ready. Keep in mind, I went with the kitchen seats which probably added some extra time but well under the 2-hour initial quote. Sitting at the table with views into the kitchen is always on point in my opinion. You tend to get better service overall and you get to see different aspects of the kitchen and how it operates. The Sip and saver promo was the same as last year. It includes three of their classic wings, the Richie Rich ramen, and the soft serve of the moment which today was Cookie monster. Both the wings and the Richie Rich ramen were on point and still contain that classic goodness that put them on the map! Overall, Domu hasn't changed and for some, that's a good thing. Even the menu prices are fair IMO for bowl of ramen, protein, a few vegetables. The drinks are around $12 which is fairly priced. I continue to see that the sale of alcohol has gone way down as compared to previous generations and I did see a number of tables with just water. As a supporter, I would suggest Domo invest in mocktails and or promoting them more. I haven't visited the other Domu locations, but, I would wager that this location is due for a refresh. Side note, The Cookie monster was okay (Kelly's ice cream is a better version). If you're going to stay with classic goodness then bring back the honey vanilla that used to be around!

To start, they have a great Happy Hour 3-6 pm with a limited menu, but Sapporo drafts and local brews are under $5 each. That is a win right there. They also have beer and Sake flights. My Go to here is the Tonkotsu Black Ramen, but I have had the others and never a bad experience. There is something really welcoming about Jinya. I suspect they treat there staff well and hire the right people. Everytime I am here I feel like they are over staffed, but there are plenty of tables inside and out in this intimate venue. My two favorite happy hour dishes are the Salmon Pke Tacos and the Crispy Chicken. I used to live on Lake Eola Park and I so miss coming here. Glad I stumbled in here today.

The tofu was very soft and not my favorite in terms of flavor, but everything else in the Spicy Creamy V Ramen was delicious. I also tried the Impossible meat bao, but the texture of the meat was a bit too firm or overcooked for my liking, especially paired with the soft bao bun. That said, I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu, as there are so many options to choose from. Our server, Carl, was very friendly and attentive. So if you're a long time Central Florida resident, then you know that street is very walkable and super cute with the park nearby but also high end. I mean it has a Williams Sonoma, like casually. The restaurant is located at 525 S Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. My boyfriend did get the reservation I think about a month in advance. It very much surprised me as one of my goals is to try new places in Orlando, and this was one that he had been to that I hadn't been to. So A++++ for him. So the restaurant had a super nice atmosphere but was very booked out. There were heart balloons at every table. So the decor was absolutely in the room with us lol. The service was very nice and I feel that they were very attentive and almost felt like maybe they had been trained to provide a certain feeling to customers. I'm sure they had been. Getting into the food, I'm not sure what the bill was. I wasn't allowed to look at it. I will say that I'm sure it was at least $100. I did leave feeling very full, but I do feel like that's a lot of money for me to feel full. We ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was a Miso-glazed Chilean sea bass on a plate with ginger-sake eggplant, butter garlic sautéed spinach, and Japanese potato purée. It's a large plate and we did share, but it was not the whole fish. I think if I pay $45 for a fish, I want the whole fish. My rating is 8.5/10. It was incredibly delicious, but I want the rest of my fish. We also got the Kanpungi, which was fried Korean style boneless chicken bites smothered in a spicy soy sauce glaze. My rating of this is 9/10. I think it was great and was very filling for an appetizer. We accidentally ran into our friends at the restaurant, who had sent us a bottle of sake. The sake was great. We sent back a non-alcoholic cocktail they had and a sake based cocktail. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but the service presented and delivered back and forth between our table in a manner I can only describe as carrier pigeon-esque. They did great. I love fanfare. I think for a first date, this is a great place to bring someone you have been talking to for a little bit and want to show that you have a good stable job in this economy and like foods outside of American food. I wasn't on a first date as a note lol. My overall rating is 7.5/10. I mean I think everything was great, but that price stabbed me a little. My boyfriend did suggest to me that it would have been a higher rating if we had gotten one of the rolls. So that's on me. It is in a great walkable neighborhood though. So you are getting charged for ambiance.
