It's a weird place. In a not-so-sexy part of town over there in that constantly churning highwayland near Full Sail. But the food they're serving here is unique and delicious. The restaurant itself if themed around anime and more specifically Dragonball Z. So kids are going to love it. Kids will especially love the Japanese sodas and treats they serve. Other than the anime themed decor the place is rather stark. And the service is too. It's really more of a quick-serve, order at the counter kind of place, than it is a legitimate restaurant. But they're known for their tonkotsu ramen and for good reason. The flavors are perfect. The cook on the pork is almost like a sear, providing a nice grilled flavor to the broth. My review is very in between because the food that we chose wasn't the greatest. I love ramen but this just didn't do it for me. It was ok. The pork was my least favorite. It had some fatty parts in the middle. The broth for the miso was kinda of thick and salty. My son got the tonkotsu and his broth was better but the pork was still the same. The decor in this restaurant is A1!!! The overall aura of the place is very anime-centric, which would trick you into thinking it was food would be mediocre. The interior is mainly Dragon Ball Z/anime themed which I thought was cute, and there were many seating options available. The employee taking my order was courteous. We had red miso ramen and veggie ramen and also an appetizer of Karaage, as well as some strawberry sake! All absolutely amazing! The Tonkotsu Ramen is my go to DoorDash order. It is consistently SO GOOD! I had ramen in many cities across the US, and this is a standout. The pork literally melts in your mouth, and the broth is very flavorful (but be warned, it is pretty salty). I literally JUST left this establishment and it was not a great experience. For starters, when we came in, we picked up a menu to read and make choices. While we were doing that, the lady at the counter seemed impatient and kept tapping her fingers on the counter. I then ordered the Curry Tori Ramen, and my boyfriend ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. The Curry Ramen was viscous and did not have good flavor. It was also lukewarm, and not hot in the SLIGHTEST. When we asked for a refund, the worker said "It's already been contaminated, we can't take it back." ....No one asked them to take it back. We asked for a refund since there was a full bowl of ramen not eaten. I honestly don't care what you do with it lol. No refund given for piss poor service. Anyway, they only got the second star because the Tonkotsu ramen was actually hot and not horrible. The atmosphere is also nice, so that is the only reason for the second star. I think there's more of conspiracy online about featuring Ramen than other information these days. Maybe I don't get it. It's soup! There are people that don't like soup, but they love Ramen. Why? It doesn't make sense. I've paid less for delicious Lobster Bisque than what some of these ramen places charge. Call me crazy, I guess. Was it bad? No. But was it mind-boggling must have Tik-Tok Dance Instagram worthy? Definitely No. The chicken appetizer was pricey and it was pretty rubbery. The soup was Ok, but nothing stood out with the pork or black garlic or whatever else was in there. Also, The pandemic gave every restaurant an excuse to put their food in plastic bowls and stuff. Came here on a Wednesday early evening with a couple friends. A friendly hostess allowed us to sit at the tables while we waited for our other friends to join us. We ordered at the counter not too far from our table and I went with the Red Tonkotsu Ramen for 13.50. After ordering, we were given glasses for our drinks (I just had water) to get at the fountain. Within about 10 minutes, our soups arrived. It was a good bowl with a good amount of al dente noodles, mushrooms, pork, and egg. The pork and egg were very flavorful and delicious. The broth had a hint of spices for a small kick, but still on the milder side. I did wish there was more pork to enjoy as there were only 3 pieces that I savored every bit. The service was friendly and helpful, and very nice enough to turn down the music when requested. All employees were wearing their masks. The atmosphere had a lot of dragon ball anime drawings with anime music in the background (probably from dragon ball as well). There was an ample amount of booth seating, and some seating at the bar where you can watch your soup being made. Dragon bowl is in a strip mall where there is also a Ross and Lucky Market. I was pleasantly surprised by Dragon Bowl Ramen, just as I was surprised by the decor inside because I didn't realize that the name is a play on the Dragon Ball Z theming. If you're a DBZ fan, you'll love the art on the walls. It makes for a great background for pictures. I found this fast service restaurant by searching on Yelp. I went with a group of 8. The front of the house area is open for dining (the high top seating) and they also take carry-out orders. Our table shared a few appetizers. I enjoyed the Pork Gyoza, which are pan fried dumplings. I also enjoyed the Krab Rangoon. The fried squid was lacking; it comes as fried rings but it was mostly batter. I would skip this appetizer. I had the Black Tonkotsu Ramen for me entree: it is the original Tonkostu Ramen in the Hakata style served with Dragon Bowl's black garlic oil. I added a soft boiled egg in addition to my bowl. The flavor of the broth is bold and creamy. They add lots of toppings and give you a heaping portion of noodles. Although it's served in plasticware, don't sleep on this food! The ramen is excellent and will warm you from the inside out. Although I'm not an Orlando resident, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dragon Bowl Ramen to anyone looking for this tasty Japanese noodle soup. read more

Dragon Bowl was coming with a lot of hype lately as a big contender in the ramen scene. Decided to give it a go and overall they are very good for what they're main items are. The atmosphere itself was surprisingly nice for a counter service location in a strip plaza. Dragon Ball imagery is everywhere-without being over the top. The staff was friendly, I can see why waits can sometimes stack up as they are limited staffing (just one cook and a cashier/server/everything else). As an open kitchen concept you're able to watch the cook and he seems to take pride in what he does-as evident by the presentation. For the food- the ramen is very good. The ingredients all taste fresh and the flavors mix well together without any over powering the others. I went with Black Tonkotsu and was very pleased, especially since this area isn't known for ramen and requires a bit of a drive for quality. The noodles were not as expected- still good but not your standard curly. I was with others and some bowls consisted of the more standard "thin curly" noodles while others (like mine) used "thin straight". Figured I'd share that bit in case anyone is die hard over the type of noodles used. The appetizers were nothing to really go crazy over. They looked (and tasted) as though they certainly weren't made in house but rather purchased from a supplier and reheated. Don't get me wrong, they were not bad, but if you were expecting the traditional crispy, flaky chicken pieces know that you'll get something more flat with batter not as flavorful. Overall, it was very good and I'd eat the food again. The prices aren't terrible but they do mirror what you could get at a traditional sit down where everything is made in house while this location is counter service and not everything is crafted in the kitchen at this location. That said, again there aren't many great ramen options nearby so it's not a deal breaker for me, and I understand costs are rising in general lately. The only big detractors were not food related: if you're thirsty you must pay up- even if just want a cup of water. They use a fountain for sodas so I'm not sure why a cup of water is such a big deal. You are not given receipts-even if you press the receipt button. The receipt still prints but the cashier just collects and tosses. This happened not only for myself but for others with me. They will eventually print another and give you your receipt but only if you ask them again-I'm not sure the logic behind this especially if there is clearly an option that customers are pressing to get a printed receipt. read more

We checked this place because of the ramen photos and that was pretty dang good! The tonkotsu ramen broth tasted full body and rich. The pieces of slice pork in there wasn't the typical cha sui but none the less super tender and also a bit fatty. The tonkotsu ramen was fantastic and I definitely get it again. We tried other items such as fried calamari and the kaarage. Both of these tasted greasy and kind of a miss for me. The kaarage was tasty but the batter was just too thick. The calamari was kind of strange as it was served with a sweet and sour sauce. The place isn't fully open to dine in but there are some high tops to sit but although if it was busy, it be hard to separate from another party. I've never experienced service that was so rude in my life, and downloaded Yelp specifically because of the way I was treated tonight. Not one to leave negative reviews anywhere, and usually only leave positive reviews on the internet but this person doesn't need to be interacting with the public. I don't even understand why she treated me this way, and will do my best to provide details. Around 9:45 pm tonight, 2/9/25, I went to Dragon Bowl to pick up an order I was delivering to a customer. I walked in, gave the name of the customer I was picking up for and was glared at and told I need to provide the list of items on the order. So I read the two items and she glared again and made some awkward noises of disgust and rudely told me that I should show her my phone, which I did. Then another condescending look and told me to hold it closer. Said something else rudely. WTF. I don't know what lead to her attitude or those rude faces. She did have to take a moment from mopping up in the back or something, but why make this simple pick up transaction into an awful experience and treat a customer, or delivery driver (or anyone for that matter), to treat them so terribly? We were planning on going to Dragon Bowl soon to try it out as we have delivered from there a few times over the last couple months, but will likely never go there for any reason. We will pass on to our network how we were treated tonight. I'm still blown away and dumbfounded; was caught completely off-guard when this went down. Being a rather passive person and treated like garbage for no reason, after working all night for crap wages with delivery apps. Not a huge football fan, but did pass up watching the super-bowl tonight to try and earn some extra bucks doing deliveries and had to deal with this. That lady who was working tonight is better suited for a job that has little to no interaction from the public. The nori on the Ramen tasted a little bit weird, it's a lot different than what I'm used to I think. I think that the ramen tasted a little bit more greasy than spicy. The takoyaki balls were 6/10 in my opinion- a lot more flour than octopus. there was probably one small piece of a tentacle and the rest was just flour. My husband was feeling under the weather (and frankly so was I) and we wanted some good soup. Not just any soup, Ramen was flooding my mind. My best friend Genesis Y. had mentioned this place so we decided to try it out. The restaurant is definitely Dragonball themed, awesome artwork lining the walls, and anime intros playing inside. As a Dragonball fan myself, it left quite the impression. The employee at the register was polite and took out orders, and it wasn't long before our food came out. The broth wasn't as flavorful as some other ramen broths I've had, but the eggs had a bunch of flavor so I mixed those into the broth well and that made the broth taste really great.
