This place was absolutely amazing! We had the chefs special rolls and chicken ramen but added spicy and it was 10/10. The service was also outstanding. This is definitely going to be our go to ramen place.

I love love this place. We come here once every two weeks. The kemah roll is my favorite. Sushi is delicious, so is the ramen. Service is always on point. Great for lunch or a date.

Food is fantastic. We love the beef ramen and all the sushi rolls. Servers are friendly. Casual hidden gem!

Overall impression: kind of just ok Average price:15-25/person Food My ramen was just okay. Nothing special. The edamame tasted a tad bit old. The chirashi cuts were pretty bad. Looked like they were done with a hacksaw. And the quality was not great. Ambience: Nothing wrong with this Service: We had a server that didn't seem to be that great with people. He also didn't seem to know much about the menu and couldn't answer any questions very well. Value As you can tell from above, not too impressed.

Normally when I order it is perfect. Today I ordered on DoorDash (just chicken, noodles and meat) I was given everything else.

Ordered just meat, noddles and broth. Received everything else. Ordered from DoorDash, would still expect the business to read the full order. Ive spent the last 5 minutes picking off everything I didn't order.

I had this place bookmarked for sometime and I finally had the chance to go check it out! Never judge a book by its cover because it was tucked away in a corner somewhere. The inside is so cute. Very well decorated and quaint! Reminds me of many ramen places in Asia. I love the atmosphere. Now, the food. My husband and I ordered a couple items off their menu and we loved some, liked some and some were just okay. My husband was blown away by their original tonkatsu ramen (5/5), I also had a couple sips and bites here and there and their flavors are rich and cooked nicely together. Salmon sushi: 3.5/5, I liked it a lot but it wasn't mind blowing. Does taste fresh but something was off about it. Can't put my finger on it. Smoke salmon sushi: 4/5, this one was better! Maybe because it was smoked salmon and the flavors balanced well here. Komeya roll: this one was both of our favorite. 5/5. The crunch and flavors balanced each other out perfectly. Space center roll: 3/5. I feel like this one was just there for aesthetic. The taste however, was just so so. My husband ordered the shrimp and veggie tempura (4/5). He really liked it but the shrimp was just okay. Lastly, I had the escolar sashimi, (4/5) I like their take on this. They dressed it with their sauces and sprinkled some flavor on top. However, if everything was taken away and it was just the fish, it was a bit chewy and the cut was a little awkward, so the additions to the sashimi was a good choice. Place was super cute and filled up quickly. We'll come back to try their other ramens and rolls out another time. I'm glad I came here today! It was a nice find!

Really outstanding ramen especially for the price! I had the black tonkotsu which was really flavorful. My partner had the curry chicken and really loved it as well. Prices are really reasonable ~$13 for a bowl. I've had $20 ramen that wasn't as good. The amount of food was good but if you're super hungry I'd recommend adding an appetizer. They also have happy hour all day Sunday! Service was exemplary and food came out fast. Plentiful parking. Cute interior inside.

It has been awhile since I've eaten inside Komeya, I usually order it on DoorDash for pick up. And I was always pleased with the quality of the packaging and the food. Today we decided to dine there. It's a small place but not crowded. The decor is fun and authentic. Our server was so nice and helpful when ordering. Tonight we came for the sushi/ sashimi and rolls. My son ordered ramen as well which he really enjoys. The food also came quickly. I have to say we were not disappointed. The sushi pieces were delicious, quality fish and the slices were generous. Same goes for the sashimi , the salmon , ocean trout, yellow tail were our favorites for sashimi and sushi but they have many selections to choose from. My husband loves the California rolls and the shaggy dog. The Texas roll was yummy as well. We will definitely be back . If you live in the area definitely come and give it a try for ramen and sushi .

The food here is delicious! Our favorite is the chicken ramen and shaggy dog! It's such a treat coming here, and the staff is always so kind!

Boutique space. If you like basic ramen and not a lot of stuff in your ramen, this is your place. I like how they do the pork chasu for the tonkotsu black ramen. Asked my waitress for seasoning to top my edamame, she brings back a brown sauce. I've asked five times and still cannot get the name, but she stated the owner makes it in-house. Tried asking to buy a bottle (yes it was that good y'all), bur she said he does not sell it. He should; it was that yummy!!!!

The sushi is always perfect and so is the Ramen! Been here many times and recommend to all my friends!!

The atmosphere is so cute, I felt like I was at a ramen stall in Japan. The staff is so warm and welcome. Pus the ramen is insanely good for the price, better than some $20 bowls that I've had.

(if you dont at least give your server a piece of cake, please do better! cake is meant to be shared and celebrating is for anyone). i wasn't able to finish my ramen despite the pix. i definitely took it home and ate it for brunch the following saturday and the flavours still held up. bonné appétit c.

Flying V Harvest was fantastic. I drank that broth like I just came out of the Sahara. So good. The Impossible meat fusion is a funny add but a good protein bump. It was a few days ago but I think I'm still full from that ramen bowl. The vibe is modern high ceiling bumping music; my in-laws found it to be too loud. I think they are giving you an excuse to lean in and get a little closer to your companion. The vibe is chic yet also casual so bring whoever you want but this would work for date night. The font on the menus is squint inducing so do your research ahead of time or prepare to spend more time perusing the menu than usual, especially with the dim lighting. They offer thin or thick noodles and can mix some broth options to adjust spice level. Drinks- the smoked in front of your face whiskey is a treat and a show. Solid spot. No regrets. Salivating at the thought of the next visit.

I had a great experience at ramen Tatsu-ya. It was my first time here & I was very impressed…read more I ordered the "mi-so-hot" & it was amazing. First - the ramen came out super fast. I was very surprised. And my broth was so delicious. It had such a rich umami flavor due to the miso & I thought the spice level was perfect. Honestly - I could eat jhst that broth for a whole meal. Unlike buldak or some other spicy ramens - the main selling point wasn't the spice. You could get an additional "spice bomb" if you wanted some more heat. The ramen toppings were good but not outstanding - same with the noodles. I thought the "mi-so-hot" was easily 3x better than "the og". The broth in "the og" was pretty interesting and more unique tasting. It felt like the main notes were just umami, pork, and oil. Not bad, but felt like it was missing a little something to make it truly good. If I had just got the OG, I'd rate this place a bit lower - but as it stands I'd 100% come back here for the "mi-so-hot" The interior was pretty nice. It was more "communal style seating" with a couple of big tables. There is also some smaller booths. It's an "order at the counter" type restaurant as well. I saw several comments about parking & was a bit concerned when driving over. I know that part of westheimer is always packed! But there is an attached parking lot & at 3pm on a Sunday, there was plenty of parking! Also - there is some street parking in the neighborhood north of the shop. Overall - will 100% be coming back for some more spicy ramen. Would recommend

Ramen gachi I'm on a…read morequest to find the best tonktosu ramen! Unfortunately this isn't the one, but it's still a great bowl! Service: immediate. Friendly. One waitress served everyone in the restaurant while I was there. She was speedy in taking and delivering orders. She seemed very nice! Food: ordered Tonkotsu Gachi and my mom ordered the yuzu. Food arrived very quickly, though we ordered no appetizers. The tonkotsu broth was rich and velvety in texture, but more like a mild umami in flavor. The chashu pork was pale, but melt in your mouth buttery and bursting with savory pork goodness! The marinated egg wasn't brought up to temperature with the broth -- a little cooler than room temperature, with a medium oozy yolk. It felt like the marinade penetrated all through to the yolk -- it was great! I welcomed the novel choice to use red onion over the usual scallions. It was a nice touch of color and brought in that bright, juicy onion flavor that I crave. Noodles were perfect texture. Not too hard or mushy. This bowl feels made to focus on the broth and flavor and not so much an instagram post. Delicious!! My only complaint was a very very very slight bitterness in the background. I couldn't pin where it was coming from. Maybe that's a risk of simmering bones for so long. I'll keep this short because I couldn't just eat my moms bowl... The Yuzu shio broth was clearer, with bright, citrusy, and savory body. The bamboo shoots were golden (grilled?) with a little snap to it. Reminds me of a king oyster mushroom. This is really a unique broth and I haven't had anything like it. You should definitely try it! Restaurant: clean, neat, every table literally has its place /orientation. Deep wood furniture, honeyed lighting, and dark window shades give the restaurant a cozy chic ambience despite visiting around noon. Good food, great service. Great prices. Large portions.

I chose the tonkatsu ramen with the lunch special add on of pork and rice for 3.90. The ramen was a 7/10 for me. The egg, the pork and the broth lacked flavor. The flavor on the pork in the rice dish was better, but the rice was overcooked and mushy. I gave up on my bowl about halfway through and left unsatisfied. I don't think I'll be back.
