I went with my friend to this restaurant for dinner, and we both ordered the chicken ramen. The wait time was about 35 minutes. As for the ramen, it was very inconsistent. My noodles were hot, but the broth was warm. The egg was running, but the broth wasn't hot enough to solidify the egg yolk. For my friend, the egg was solidified upon serving. The broth was chalky/powdery and thick. The vegetables in the ramen were cold, but the broth wasn't hot enough for it to warm the vegetables. Overall, the quality was inconsistent in ramen. I've been to Jinya multiple times, and Jinya is consistently better. I can't comment on the sushi because I didn't try it. Also, the environment was kind of awkward in my opinion, but the art on the walls gives a nice visual. read more

I got the Tonkotsu black ramen. It wasn't good. The soup wasn't too flavorful and I kept getting a weird metallic taste. Just go to Jinya. The fried calamari was bad. Very chewy, stringy, not crunchy, and surprisingly cold. The takoyaki was okay, but there were only 4 pieces. read more

This place is amazing. The taxes roll is phenomenal, the gyoza were also very good and the sauce that came with them was great with the sushi. I've also tried the crunch roll, the crunch dynamite, and the shaggy dog but the taxes is a notch above those. Prices are very good as well. read more

Very cute little sushi/ramen place in the clear lake area. I have never actually dined in but it looks very hip and modern inside. I have ordered several to go orders and their food is very good. Portions are on the small side but the location is very convenient to where I live and I will continue to order. I am a picky eater, especially when it comes to Ramen, so when I tell you that this place is legit - take my word for it! The atmosphere is really nice for a date, or group hangout. When we came here, we ordered the edamame, sushi, ramen, desserts, and sake and it didn't break the bank! The chicken ramen is flavorful, with the meat tender and delicious. Love this place. Masa used to be my sushi spot in the area, but Komeya is simply better in all aspects. Some of my favorites are the Honey Moon roll and the Ocean Trout sushi pieces. It took us a while to try this place because we have a picky 6 year old, but she loves the chicken nuggets on the kids menu. Service has been great on each visit. Sadly the appetizers aren't worth it considering the quantity they contain compared to the price. So unless you're ok with spending extra money I'd suggest going straight for the meal. And the food comes out at a reasonable time so it's not like you'll be sitting there hungry waiting for your food a long time. The rolled sushi is absolutely amazing. Got the Kemah and spider roll and I will definitely be back for more. The service was quick. Pretty busy for a small place but well worth it. He charged me twice for my ramen and then said he refused to accept the door dash order I made and paid for, and I had to pay him again. Yes, I understand that Komeya claims this is some sort of scam, but here's the deal. They could've made money off of 4 of us by offering to honor it anyway. OMG!! Everyone should give Komeya a try. Great atmosphere but it pales in comparison to the Itamae (sushi chef). This guy was hilarious. I would come back just for the conversation. He stated he had 30 years of being a chief and it shows. He served me an off menu roll that was melt in you mouth good. I will definitely be coming back to try new rolls and ramen.
