I ordered some sushi rolls the other day had it delivered and I got so sick throwing up diarrhea. I was sick for three days. I believe I had food poisoning. This is not the first time and I thought I would try it one more time. But the same thing happened. I will never order from there again or go back. I don't think they keep their sushi cold enough. The sushi is very inexpensive but not the best quality. The tuna and salmon are decent but the fish not regularly ordered like mackerel often has a frozen feel to it. I'm a fan of Yummy1. I've ordered from them a few times and their sushi is always fresh and delicious. I've only done pick up orders since I just started going during the pandemic. The staff is nice and welcoming in this little cozy restaurant and I think I will continue to go there. All-You-Can-Eat sushi style restaurants have sure been popping up all over Long Island the last few years and my friends have been finding all of them! This place offers you an All-You-Can-Eat deal for either around $16.99 with soup, salad and rolls or $18.99 to include more specialty rolls. Some of the other places have been also offering hot and cold appetizers as a selection. I found they were quite reluctant to give us all of the rolls we requested at first and in general, the staff was a little on the shy side. My friend and I found the fish to be a little salty. Overall, I find I have had better quality, fresher and meatier rolls and better selections but I would be willing to give them another go. read more

This place had wonderful customer service. Unfortunately, their sushi and food does not live up to the expectation of their service. Don't get me wrong, the price of the food is great with sushi being 50% off. However, we went and ordered the shrimp tempura roll and it was just cooked shrimp with fried crunchies added inside the sushi. Usually they would fry the shrimp so there is breading on the shrimp, but not this one. This place is incredibly amazing! They are a small shop so sometimes service can be slow, but if you're not in a rush this is a great place to grab sushi. Love the lunch specials they have. It's affordable but doesn't compromise the quality (idk what that other guy was talking about with frozen fish, I've been here countless times and NEVER had that experience). As I mentioned, the place itself is rather small with a couple tables. It's cute and homey but I can imagine it getting cramped and loud quickly if there's a few groups there. I was here once. They do offer all-you-can-eat sushi. However they are reluctant to give you everything when you order a lot. The yellowtail was a little bit salty. Overall I thought the food was okay. I've had better, and I've had worse elsewhere. The cheapest all-you-can-eat option gives you most hand rolls, sushi pieces, soup, and salad for $16.99. For $18.99 they also offer all you can eat with additional specialty sushi rolls. read more

We live in Merrick, they are fairly new and we are new to the neighborhood. We have placed orders with them and every time we order an hour later they food does not show up. The first time was ok then it went downhill from there...the last 2-3 times we called after an hour and they said the delivery driver was out far away, we picked it up that time. This time we called after an hour and the same answer so we have to pick it up she offered to take $ off the bill which really isn't the point of a delivery. This is a relatively new sushi restaurant to the Merrick area. Their food is phenomenal, fresh, and the staff are always friendly. Everything is done in a timely manner and all of the sushi on the menu is absolutely delicious. By far the best sushi in Merrick, and prices can't be beat. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and family, and I would definitely recommend it over all of the other sushi places in the Merrick area. A must try. Fish is fresh, rolls are interesting and well crafted. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I can't speak to dining in the restaurant as we always order in, but my wife just picked up our order and said it was nice enough and clean. read more

Only sushi here. No cooked food. Discounted prices always result in cheap frozen fish. You can't have daily fresh fish for a discount. Cheap grade of food for only a slightly discounted price. I'd rather pay a couple of bucks more to get fresh quality fish and have the option to get cooked food. I don't understand saving $2-$4 for food I put in my stomach. Its obvious you get what you pay for and if I want sushi it should be fresh quality fish. Btw other places in the area actually have the same prices when you compare. You get more fish and less rice at other local places that don't show 50% off. Yummy 1 Sushi is deceiving people to try and make a business. They are deceiving themselves. When you eat out you want quality food for a fair price or just go to McDonalds where they even raised prices. 50% of here is not on everything either. Be safe, I wouldn't eat discount sushi. Is the last reviewer aware that 85-90 percent of the fish eaten in this country is imported? Is he aware that 80-85 percent of that is frozen? If you are eating fish at a small local sushi bar on Long Island, it's a pretty good bet it is previously frozen. I also remember reading somewhere that it was a law that US sushi restaurants had to freeze their fish to kill parasites. I don't know if that's true, but thinking you're getting fresher fish because you are paying a dollar or two more is foolish. If you think the other Sushi joint up the block has fresh fish I think you're wrong. How many species on the sushi menu are caught in this area that you could get "fresh"? If you aren't standing on the dock you have no idea what you're getting. Watch any show about the fishing industry and almost all of the fish are packed on ice for the trip home. Have you ever seen a tuna auction? These huge hulks are frozen to -70 degrees and can blister your bare hand on contact. I agree that portion size could be better. The sushi and sashimi here are as good as the other offerings in the area. Good luck finding your "fresh" fish. read more
