I would strongly AVOID this dry cleaner. I brought in a silk dress with a stain. They attempted to remove it twice and failed. I took the dress to HAMILTON CLEANERS, who removed the stain immediately without any issue. More recently, I brought in my husband's trousers that had a small chocolate smudge and a pencil mark. After the first attempt, the stains remained. They asked to redo the cleaning, so I gave them another chance. When I returned, the original stain area was surrounded by a large oily ring that had not been there before. When I raised the issue, I was told the ring had already been there when I dropped off the trousers, which is a lie. I was then asked to sign a form saying they are not at fault, which I refused. I was also told that no chemicals had been used, despite the obvious residue left behind. And when they called the person who cleaned it in Spanish he told them he used a chemical, and I understand Spanish. So they lied again. My experience has been that not only were STAINS NOT REMOVED but the clothes were DAMAGED WITH NEW CHEMICAL STAINS. Lately, my clothes have been coming back dirtier than when I dropped them off -- particularly my whites, which now return in a dull gray, dingy condition. But what has pushed me to write is my most recent experience. I dropped off a long black satin formal dress a week ago and was told it would be done 2 days later on Wednesday. I came in on Thursday for pick up and was told only the suit which i dropped off with it was complete because the dress had melted glue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only disappointments here is that I didn't receive a call to let me know my ready date was pushed back (the location is further from my home) and my second being that it's fully open back so the top half is fully visible both sides.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It feels like if they had given a simple once over front and back of the garment before washing/applying heat they would have been able to easily remove the fashion tape but instead it was melted in the cleaning process creating a bigger issue. I left the garment on Thursday, being told to come back next day and it would be ready. I came in the next day as requested later in the day and was told it was still not ready/successfully cleaned. Quick service when I came in and they still had my information from the other location. They gave me a 2 day turnaround time for about 8 pieces of dress clothes which was more than enough time for what I needed it for. We then went to Kona Cleaners on Brookhurst (we didn't know that they don't have machines there) she called the Kona Cleaners on 17th and ask if we could come down and get our shirt pressed, and the guy on the other line said yes, the girl there I believe her name was Emma was so helpful and said to ask for Oscar! We got in the car and drove to 17th when we walked in we were greeted by Oscar. He helped us by pressing his shirt and even his pants, then sent us on our way without charge. WOW. Before I begin this, I want to start by saying that I have attempted to speak with a manager about this on three separate occasions. Oscar, if you attempt to message me publicly on this review, it will mean nothing to me because you refused to return my phone calls and you refused to speak with me while I was physically in the store. I tried to work with you before writing this review. I got married at the beginning of June after waiting two and a half long years through COVID. After my wedding, I happened to receive an email from Kona Cleaners with a coupon for 20% off cleaning and preserving of a wedding gown since it is "wedding season." I had no idea what preserving was, but I knew I needed my gown cleaned, so I added the coupon to my account and went in. When I arrived, I dropped off my gown and two other items. The person who took my order asked what I wanted and I said I wanted a cleaning and that I had a coupon on my account. I did not state that I wanted the gown to be preserved. The person helping me let me know my gown would be ready in about a month because wedding gowns are delicate and take time to clean. I said no problem. The person helping me did not give me a quote and did not look at my dress; they just took it to the back. Fast forward to the end of June, about two weeks after dropping my dress off. I receive an email stating my order was ready to pick up and I owe Kona Cleaners over $500 for my dress. I was obviously shocked at this price because I didn't understand how cleaning a wedding dress could be that expensive. I called immediately and asked and was told the manager, Oscar, would call me back. After not hearing back for two days, my husband called on July 1st, asking to speak to Oscar. When we were not called back for the second time, after waiting through the holiday weekend, I called again today, July 6th, and asked to speak to a manager. I just wanted to understand how the cost was so high. I was told by the employee I would get a phone call from Oscar in "a few minutes." Hours went by without a call. So, I decided to go in to speak with them directly. When I walked in, I was greeted by a very kind employee who asked what would warrant the need for a manager and he listened to what happened. He told me that I should have been quoted and I should have been walked through what each option was, as there are apparently many options when it comes to wedding gowns. As a first-time bride, I had no idea. The employee thought that maybe since the coupon had the word "preservation" on it, the person who took it assumed that was what I wanted. An assumption, though, is not an agreement! The person who originally took my order happened to be there and went to the back to call Oscar, who had left for the day. When the employee returned, she told me there was nothing that could be done and that I had to pay the bill or they keep my dress. She said that because the service had been completed, the service I did NOT ask for, I had to pay for it or lose my dress. I asked again to please speak to a manager and was denied since she had just spoken with him. Between paying the bill and losing my dress, I chose to, unfortunately, pay the bill. I will NEVER go to Kona Cleaners again. I will encourage my friends and family to stop as well. I cannot believe that a company would not give an estimate or explanation and then expect people to foot such a large bill. I especially couldn't believe that I couldn't just get a response from a manager. You need to do better as a business. Don't give excuses and don't blame other people, just be clear and UPFRONT with services and pricing. I feel totally cheated, lied to, and taken advantage of as someone who has never gone through this process before. Called around to get a jacket cleaned and steamed in one day. They said they'd do it. I come to pick it up following day. At first they "couldn't find it" then said it would be ready by Tuesday (3 days later). They found it it wasn't done properly or to their satisfaction. FLOUNCES are not pleats! I bought a dress off of another lolita for nearly $400. I took it in because of the cigarette smell. I got it back and it not only STILL SMELLS, but someone who either didn't know what they were doing or didn't care, pressed everything flat. Put uneven creases in all of the organza pieces, including the bustle, which is now flat too. I would love a refund because they didn't take care of the smell, but wrinkled it! I tried to get another gown cleaned but they said "putting it in the washer would ruin the interfacing on the sleeves." THE WASHER? I left it there to repair a few spots anyway. But I will hurry to get it back before anything happens. I should have walked away when the manager smugly told me I was wrong when I identified the source of a stain ON MY OWN GOWN. First off, I want to say that I don't like writing yelp reviews because I think everyone deserves a second chance at rectifying any mistakes or issues with the provided service. With that said, I had 3 white aprons that needed to be hemmed, dry cleaned, and pressed to ensure that all the wrinkles were removed. It's a basic piece of fabric: a white rectangular linen apron with two front pockets. I spoke to the tailor and asked for 5 inches to be taken off the bottom. I also asked if they could dry clean the aprons and asked if they could please get all of the wrinkles out. A basic task, or so I thought. When I picked them up 10 days later (they were ready in 8 days), the hem was a little shorter than expected but that's not what I have an issue with. All three aprons still had wrinkles in them as if they hadn't been cleaned at all. When I asked the lady behind the counter why the wrinkles hadn't been removed, she checked her system and said they had only dry cleaned two of the aprons? She offered to reclean all 3 aprons for free but I needed them for work the next day so I left one with her to dry clean again. I specifically told her no wrinkles and to please use starch if need be. A couple days later, I came back to pick up my single apron and noticed that the apron looked exactly the same with all of the wrinkles intact. The lady offered to dry clean it again for free but I needed the apron for work 2 hours later so I gave up and took the apron home. It took me over an hour to iron which could've easily been avoided had they actually cleaned the apron. My advice? Only come here if you don't mind having wrinkly clothes. On the bright side, all the employees are very polite and helpful but I'm still not coming back which is disappointing. read more

I'm honestly so done with these cleaners I have just picked up my order and two of my favorite go to dresses are missing a couple months ago. It was a favorite skirt. I've tried to go on the Internet and try to locate dresses and the skirt and cannot replace them. I thought it was a one time incident with the skirt, but now my two favorite dresses that I came back from vacation from our missing I even double checked my entire closet, pulled it all out to make sure maybe they didn't return it and sure enough I'm positive that when I dropped it off they never returned them. When I got there the price went to $86 that's with the 50% off !! Which would have made it $172 without the discount card. I could have purchased a new one!
