I stopped by a few minutes later, they took my contact info, and about an hour later I received a text saying the repair was complete. When I returned, the staff member (a brunette with long hair) told me that not only had she reattached the two buttons, but she had also reinforced the other two at no additional charge. first time visit, and they ruined my dress. I took the damaged dress back the next day to complain, and the lady behind the counter told me the young man who took my order was new and should have told me that the dress may be ruined if dry cleaned due to the material. when I told her I was not warned of potential damage when I dropped it off, and when I picked up all the clothes from him, he didn't even mention that the dress was damaged, even though there's a note, from the cleaning crew, attached to the dress to 'inform the owner of damaged dress'. I saw the note after I got home and found out the dress was completely ruined. She told me she'll ask her manager to call me and gave me her manager's contact number, and said that typically I will get a refund for the damaged dress. I never received any returned call from the manager. when I emailed her manager and left several messages with the manager, it was not returned. after 2 weeks of no response from the manager, I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company (thank goodness I used cc). bad service, bad quality, definitely NOT going back!!!!! read more

Walked in the door, only to NOT be greeted by a young lady in an Eyore Onesie (can't make this up). She didn't look up from what she was doing (playing whatever on her phone). I had garments I needed dry cleaned, a leather coat and my wool peacoat. I asked how much each would be and about how long they'd take. Again, without looking up ever, and in a Ben Stein "Bueller, Bueller, Bueller" voice, she drones out "$112 per item, and it'll take three to eight weeks, minimum." (Yes, 3 to 8 WEEKS PER GARMENT. $112 A PIECE) I haven't ever anywhere paid that amount to have a leather jacket cleaned. And 3 to 8 weeks minimum? Just hearing her response, I already know she the All Star Employee. Losing business left and right. Quality? None. Service? None. Zero Value in this establishment. I was able to take my garments to another dry cleaner. 2 days and $58 a piece. Steer clear from Kona Cleaners on Limonite, they clearly have no need to do business. If you need quick alterations , this is not the place. I was informed , you need to have your own measurements then they send out your clothes but takes two weeks just "fyi" But... Worst service ever. 1st I had a shirt that was dirty and missing buttons therefore I had them redone and locate the buttons that were missing . They ended up replacing the buttons with cheap buttons therefore I could no longer use the shirt. I requested for the shirt to be replaced, but they refused. They charged me for the dry cleaning that took four weeks to clean for that shirt. On 9-25-25 I went to pick up a shirt and she stated that they could not find it even though in there system it shows being there . The tenant told me you probably already picked it up. I told her I did not and I need to speak to someone therefore she gave me Karla's. Number who is the manager? When speaking to Karla she told me it must've been picked up already therefore they cannot do anything about it. I've been going to Kona cleaners for over 10 years and always the service has been great. Michelle (no longer there) and Anna are amazing. Lately though (the last 6 months) the quality of the pressing of my white shirts has been very poor. Not sure if they have too many clothes together after they come from the plant, but I shouldn't have to re-press my clothes after picking them up from the cleaners. This has happened way too many times, and there's nothing the ladies at the front counter can do about it. Please fix this issue so I don't have to start shopping for a different dry cleaner. I have received pants and tops that have obviously not been cleaned and I've had to return and point out. I recently took a new uniform top that needed to be pressed. I asked the girl on the front desk why the price wasn't itemized when it was dropped off by my daughter and she said " we don't do that not unless she asked for it". she received an email the next day for $200.68 for shirt,blouse and skirts (22 items). it's her first time to go to kona cleaner and she didn't know how it works. the girl just printed a pick up tab, no price, no details, she got home and she handed it to me. I asked her how much and she said that the girl will email her the price. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Do not take any as they call it "fake leather" jackets here. They will damage it and claim it was already like that. Very disappointed and disgusted with their customer service and how they had to lie to cover up their mess up! Why wouldn't you call to confirm there was "damage" on the left shoulder of my jacket to begin with before even accepting to dry clean a "damaged" item. It doesn't make sense. Kona has always been reliable and consistent. When I am in a jam they have 24hr turnaround and even offer same day service if you get it in by 7am. The only thing I could say is they are a little expensive. If you go on there web page they offer specials or coupons from time to time. Good service is never cheap. read more

Overall, I have to express my satisfaction with the finished product upon return. I only go to Kona when I need my suits returned next day, otherwise I go to my regular down the street. I've had alterations here before with a hem on slacks and take in with a jacket and was pleased with the results. The dry cleaning seems quality like with a gentle crisp to the fabric and the extra care added with paper filling the sleeves and a button hook on the jacket, I do enjoy the fluffs and don't mind paying for that extra TLC. Not to mention the txt message you receive when your clothes are ready for pick up. Tailoring is on site and dry cleaning care is done elsewhere at a main location in Orange County. You will occasionally see the Kona Truck at 7Am on the 91E heading to the hub. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. But I will say that the one star they earned was due to the customer service of the 2 young ladies I interacted with. They were both extremely nice, and apologetic. They deserve all of the kudos. That is where it stops. Saying that I'm pissed about my experience is an understatement. I called in to Kona cleaners on August 7th at around noon. I wanted to know if they cleaned mattress toppers, the turn around, and cost. The young lady was very helpful. She took all of my info, asked me a few questions, and said she would give me a call back with my quote. Very shortly after she called back and advised that yes they clean them, it would be $75, would need to be cleaned offsite, and could take up to a week, possibly sooner. I dropped it off same day in time for it to make the truck that would take it offsite to the factory for cleaning. I didn't hear anything for a few days, so On Thursday I called in to get a status. I was advised that it wasn't ready, but they would message the factory to get an update. The factory only operates at night now due to the covid 19 pandemic and staffing requirements. She advised that it should arrive the next day, as that would be the week that I was quoted. I called in on Friday and was advised that it still wasn't ready, and that they had received all deliveries so to try again tomorrow. Which brings us to today! I called in to see if it was ready and was advised that it had just been delivered, but the factory refuses to clean it! They said that it had signs of wear and tear and they didn't want to be liable. My mattress topper has no wear and tear. I am the ONLY person who sleeps on it. My mattress wasn't a cheap purchase. It features a 300 thread count cotton duvet cover, a mixture of premium silicone fiber, baffled memory foam clusters, airflow pressure relief memory foam which is what I wanted steam cleaned as per vendor recommendation. Alas, if you don't want to clean it then fine. But why keep it over a week with no communication!!? The icing on the cake is the fact that when I picked it up, it was filthy! Like it was dragged across the ground and mishandled. It wasn't in a protective bag. It looked like it had a rough journey and was just throw around with no respect or regard for safety or cleanliness. The young lady struggled with bringing it up front, and had much body contact with it. In the covid 19 environment, that isn't exactly ideal! I'm incredibly upset. I will never solicit this business again. I now need to have my topper cleaned more than ever. Unacceptable! read more

First time I picked it up it was still stained and dirty I gave it back and then they proceeded to put it inside a washer machine. So, I asked the receptionist to write down the instructions I told her, she did. On 10/19, I received a text that the altered pants is ready. THE PANTS WAS CUT AND SEWN INTO A SHORTS!!!!!! I was so pissed! The receptionist called someone and I was instructed to leave the pants, someone will call me to arrange reimbursement of the RUINED pants!! The pants is needed in a week! I could feel my blood pressure way up!!! So, I just grabbed the pants instead and took it to someone who understands detailed instructions. What do you think? Should I ask Kona cleaners to pay for the repair of the pants their seamstress RUINED? Update: 10/21/21 Karla, the business manager - I give her a 4 stars for resolving my issue. I dropped off my a 3-piece graduation regalia (gown, sash, and Master's degree hood) as well as several blankets (6) and a pair of curtains last weekend. On Wednesday evening, July 29th, I picked up my graduation regalia, 2 small blankets, and a queen blanket - the remaining items were not yet ready for pick up. When I got home that evening and unloaded my items, I saw - to my complete shock - that my Master's hood was beyond ruined. BEYOND ruined. I cannot believe the damage. I cannot believe your employees - not the cleaners, not one associate, NO ONE said a single thing to acknowledge the extensive damaged done to my hood. Mind you - my graduation commencement ceremony was the very next day (Thursday, July 29th). I paid $70 for the items I picked up on Wednesday. I'm so disgusted with the lack of care, quality, and professionalism your employees and company have demonstrated. I expect a full refund for ALL of my items. In addition to my ruined hood, my two small blankets were FRIED. FRIED. They are no longer soft but crispy and permanently ruined. I can't even begin to imagine what I will find when I pick up my curtains and remaining blankets. This is so grossly unacceptable. So I moved to the area and had to say goodbye to my regular dry cleaner spot. A friend of mine recommended Kona Cleaners to take my work uniforms. I was so impressed with the prices and hours! Overall, my experience has been very pleasant. The employees are extremely helpful and polite. I had a minor issue on a uniform shirt where a crease kept coming back from the plant not aligned with the center of the pocket. To be honest, I thought the shirt would be scrapped bc it would end up being double creased if I had them fix it. I brought it to their attention and they sent it back twice (for free). The employees were extremely understanding and adamant that it be corrected. Ultimately, The crease was realigned and the shirt looks brand new! I have been coming to this place since it opened. Just recently, I asked to have an order for same day cleaning service which they offer. They called me and said, "Our driver took the wrong dry cleaning and it won't be available til tomorrow at 2pm." It didn't bother me cause my appointment was at 3pm. Then they called the next day and said, "Our driver forget the dress you dropped off, but they brought the shirt." This time is really made me upset because I needed those items for a photo shoot which ended up getting canceled and costing me money. Update: Since the incident happened, Management personally reached out and attempted to rectify the situation with us.
