Didn't try any food items per se but did order a few of their drinks. Really wanted to fall in love with this place, but it was just ok. My blended coffee tasted like the powdered coffee from the can at Costco. Despite me adding extra espresso shots, it was just a sugary milk with a hint of coffee. The refresher my husband ordered seemed like a Red Bull over ice. And my son's fruit smoothie was sooo sweet he couldn't drink more than a few sips. Was super bummed because it was right down the road from us and I love me some good coffee and drinks. However I must say I love the drive up idea. The menu items are cute, creative and easy to read. The staff was super helpful, responsive to all our questions and very friendly. Tried it my one time, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be back. Sorry! read more

Some of the best coffee on the island, I always bring my family when they come to visit. My sisters and I came everyday during their week trip, they were hooked lol a couple of times my drink didn't look like the picture so I just ask to make sure now one drink was just mini marshmallows on the menu it said marshmallow fluff and there wasn't much fluff about it, the drink was still so tasty tho so no biggie, same for the milkchiatto picture had whip didn't come with whip :,( staff is nice, some of the girlies are nicer than the others.. the açaí is soo good , wish I could get a bigger size! read more

Another gem I stumbled on in my trip to the Big Island. Whenever I travel I'm about finding a good local coffee spot to try and County Grounds did not disappoint. On our way back to our resort after breakfast I saw their cute drive thru stand and had to stop. We decided to get one of their fall beverages and one from their standard menu -- both were super fantastic! My husband got the SIGNATURE SIP which had chocolate mocha + caramel + hazelnut + coconut. I picked one from their holiday menu and went with their recommendation, the Mummy Mocha which was white chocolate + toffee nut + salted caramel (I subbed mine with Oat Milk). Let me know when you're ready to open one here in Orange County in Southern California... I'm ready for you! LOL read more

I got one of the summer seasonal drinks, the Nutty Hawaiian. I am not a big coffee drinker, but I absolutely loved the way this tasted. I wish I got a bigger size. This drink was more on the sweet side, so it's a good drink if you prefer sweet. Love their concept. It's a cute drive through coffee shop. Their chocolate chip banana bread is good and I get them cold brew with sweet cream on top. The cold brew is great! My husband got a black coffee and liked it as well. They do a good job. I've been here a few times and the only complaint is they load iced drinks with ice - so you pay 2x for half the quantity. I forgot to ask for light ice this time and for a 16oz cold brew, it felt like I just had a few sips before the drink was gone. read more

This mini roadside barista barn came highly recommended by a coworker. Being a lover of tea and coffee, especially on Hawaii island, and someone that likes to support local businesses, I made it a point to swing on by. I'm so happy I did. It's a drive-up/drive-through roadside mini cottage, with modern flare and a feminine touch. There was a little bit of a line of vehicles, but it moved fast. The outside, surrounding the cottage, was festively decorated for Halloween. There are two opportunities for you to look at the posted menus before pulling to the window to order, where they also have a posted menu. Besides coffee and tea, they also serve smoothies and they have a food menu that changes daily. So don't think...oh, I'll try that next time. No! Get all the things. There were two ladies working there this morning, who were patient in explaining their menu and giving recommendations. I opted for 20 oz of the hot chai latte with oat milk. Delicious!!! If I didn't have a flight to catch, I would have gone back around and ordered another. I can't have just a drink for breakfast and since their menu changes daily, I had to try their lilikoi roll. It's ginormous (that's what she said...sorry, I couldn't help myself)! The bread is soft and fresh with lots of delicious lilikoi butter. I took a few bites, then saved the rest until I got to a microwave to heat it up...then it was next level. I will definitely be back to try their coffee on my next visit to Waimea. read more

A great addition to coffee shops in the Kamuela-Waimea area. This drive thru espresso/coffee shop is very good. My favorite is Signature Sip blended with whipped cream. My wife is very happy they have a few sugar free flavors. Her favorite is a Milky Way sugar free, fat free, 3/4 sweet, over ice. We were on our way to Kona from a tour at Waipi'o Valley and we needed a kick of energy to continue our drive. We made it 5 minutes before closing and it's such a small, cute drive thru and I'm so happy that we didn't miss it! I ordered the iced emerald pineapple latte and it was a pleasant surprise! Something a little different that I'm not used to. My boyfriend, who doesn't really drink coffee himself, ordered the iced snickers mocha and he LOVED it! The caramel and hazelnut flavor balanced out the chocolate mocha very well. And on the cup was a lovely surprise: a chocolate covered espresso bean! My boyfriend thought it was a chocolate covered raisin (I know, weirdo, right?) and just popped it right into his mouth and boy did he regret not savoring that flavor! Like I said, he is not a coffee drinker but he said it was a flavor that he'll never forget. Unfortunately, because we made it right before closing, we couldn't go back to inquire about it, but Ashley was very responsive on google message when we asked about it. They sell it in 3oz backs, so hopefully, when we make it back to Waimea, we'll be buying a couple! All in all, I definitely recommended coming here when you are around the area! read more

This is the cutest coffee place to hit our town of Waimea. My favorite has been Waimea Coffee Co. for years, but unfortunately it takes about 15-20 mins for food and coffee there and can be pretty pricey so that's a treat more than anything. Starbucks has been my quick go to with their order online and loyalty program but the coffee sucks there. However, now that this darling coffee stop is open, I will definitely be a loyal repeater. Great customer service and don't let the line fool you...they are pretty quick. Also, prices are very reasonable and the quality is on point! So far, I've had the Mudslinger, the Signature Sip, the Lilikoi Roll and my daughter had the Jolly Rancher Refresher. All 5 Star. Hoping they will start a loyalty card, but regardless this will be my morning stop. Support Local! In fact, I think their slogan is Sip Local. Enjoy!! read more

The barista was nice and made me a different drink when I told her I didn't like it...so I tried their signature iced. It was also extremely sweet and I didn't end up drinking it.
