We visited Kong Dog after grabbing coffee drinks at Cotti Coffee on our initial visit while we were walking along Michigan Ave, it was a few blocks from our hotel. The 1st time we stopped was to try the coffee-and we saw the menu for Kong Dog-so we knew we were going to go back to try. You can order on the App or at the kiosk inside. While the wait for food/drinks did take sometime, the food tasted fresh and was hot. I ordered the ramen and add a boiled egg and dumplings. My sister and her friend tried the Korean Corn dogs. They said their food was good and my ramen was good as well.

Finally got to try this place, so good! the original and the sweet chili doritos ones are awesome! Next time I visit Chicago, im getting the hot cheeto one lol. Good quick service, and hot fresh food. Cool little spot right off Michigan.

This was a really fun Korean corndog place. We do not have Korean corn dogs in the city that I live, so I was excited to try them. There were lots of different options, and ordering was very easy through their kiosk. The food was delicious and arrived quickly, and we love the different options for customization, we would definitely come back.

I needed something affordable and hand held to eat while walking around Chicago, so I passed by Kong Dog and had to try it! They were quick with service and making sure the Korean-style corn dog was made fresh. I chose to get the original Kong Dog as it was my first time trying it and I wanted a baseline to review it. The establishment itself isn't exciting outside or indside. However, what drew me in was a 10% discount for anyone holding a college ID (yes I still have mine surprisingly). It came out hot and it was kind of what I expected. Nothing outstanding, but not plain and boring. I like the sweet and savory of the corn dog, combined with a dusting of sugar. It was a bit too much of the breading around the corn dog, but otherwise it sufficed for a quick bite! Overall, if this was the closest and fastest option for a quick bite, I wouldn't mind coming here again. In Chicago, there are so many places to try.

Food was hot, delicious and really good. I was so impressed by the corn dog! I got the sweet potato corn dog and we also got the dorito corn dog. Both of us got ours 1/2 cheese, 1/2 meat. Omg. The cheese... so good. Also got the Teppoki. Was not impressed at all by the sauce. It tasted like tomato soup with some hot sauce in it. The dish cakes and rice cakes were good in it. Also split the beef pot stickers. They come out all dressed I. The most amazing sauce with French fries as well too! Such a delicious treat. Workers were friendly and quick with our order.

I was in the mood for a hot dog in the area, and this has them despite their website only listing corndogs. Maybe hot dogs are location specific? So don't fear you can get both dog styles here. When I went, neither of the order machines were working, so the one employee had to take orders and make them, which seems like a bad management choice. I got the New Chicago Dog - a hot dog with the unusual topics lettuce, tomato, onions, condiments. Basically a burger in hot dog form. It was more toppings than hot dogs, but it was an interesting try. Bathroom available for customers (code on the receipt) and they had a free water self-serve machine which was nice. Maybe a corn dog would have been better. It was okay for a quick bite.

We stopped by this place to have a snack one recent afternoon. One of us was a bit hungry and ordered a Cheezy Super Dog, and the others just ordered regular corn dogs (one Potato and one Ramen). They all tasted pretty good and tided us over until dinner time.

I was so excited to finally try a Korean hot dog! I got the fried ramen cheese hot dog and my husband got the hot cheetos hot dog. We got the sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping. You have the option to add to your dog or have it on the side; regardless, definitely recommend getting some sort of sauce because it will be too dry without. Overall, it was as cheesy as expected and I am going to make it my mission to try everything on the menu.

I'm not a huge fan of corn dogs so I wasn't expecting much, but I went with my daughter because she's a huge fan. This is a chain and this location has been open for a few months and seems popular. They have a lot of options and extras and easy ordering, either by kiosk or at the register. I chose the standard one with a hot dog that's all beef. The breading was crisp and a bit thick for my liking. My daughter loves the one with the potato coating. I tasted it and it was good. I was surprised that they don't have a cheese dog. You can get one that's filled with all cheese or 1/2 cheese, 1/2 hot dog so I may try that next time. Students get a 10% discount. They have boba drinks and a lot of options to choose from so even if you're it a big fan, you're sure to find something you'll like.

Love Kong Dog and was glad that a location on Michigan Ave opened up! So convenient, and easy to grab a tasty treat close to all the attractions on the Loop. The food here is the same as the other Kong Dog locations (korean corn dogs, tasty sides & drinks), and the interior has a lot of seating as well if you don't want to take your food to-go. Highly recommend grabbing a korean corn dog if you haven't tried one yet!

We ate a Kong dog while we were in Chicago and I'm a save is pretty neat inside. We really enjoyed the ambience of the place. Service was fine. Nothing bad it was in downtown Chicago Chicago had a pretty view of the snow that was coming down of the main streets. We got a couple corndogs and they were pretty good. We enjoyed ourselves I would recommend it.

Classic with tomato, onion, hot peppers.

Then I saw the KBBQ menu and all bets were off. I immediately pivoted and ordered the chef's tasting set, the Diweji, featuring pork jowl, pork collar, and pork belly, complete with an assortment of banchan. Zero regrets. And here's the part that should tell you everything you need to know: I am a certified radish hater. I avoid it whenever possible. Yet somehow, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the radish banchan and asking for more. Even the soup - which also featured radish - was absolutely delicious. If Perilla can convert someone who actively dislikes radish into a fan for one meal, that's saying something. The soju was exactly what I wanted with Korean barbecue: crisp, clean, and refreshing. I appreciate that it was neutral rather than overly sweet. The flavored, sweeter versions aren't really my thing unless the food is setting my mouth on fire. Speaking of spice, the wings were good: juicy, well-executed, and satisfying but I kept wishing they packed a little more heat. They weren't spicy at all, and a bigger kick would have taken them from very good to unforgettable. As for the meats, the pork jowl was gloriously rich and fatty, exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The pork collar ended up being my favorite: flavorful, tender, and with just the right balance of meat and fat. The pork belly was comforting and familiar - the classic KBBQ staple done well, with beautifully rendered edges and that indulgent quality that makes it a crowd-pleaser for a reason. The set also came with potatoes that were unexpectedly delicious. My only complaint? It was far too much food for one person. The service deserves its own mention. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The entire meal was delivered with efficiency and a smile, making a solo diner feel completely comfortable lingering and enjoying the experience. What I thought would be a quick happy hour stop turned into one of my favorite meals.

We ordered a seafood soup, seafood pancake, and a salmon crunch roll. We quickly realized that this was an atypical Korean restaurant experience as we did not receive banchan and there were not many traditional options on the menu. I think that should've been our cue to go, but we stayed and were very disappointed. The service was extremely slow. We had to ask multiple times when it was coming, and when the food finally came out, it was underseasoned and the texture was very off. The seafood pancake tasted deep fried and had chunks of imitation crab. It had the texture of an unrisen focaccia. The soup was tasteless, and the salmon roll was drenched in mayo and eel sauce. They also gave us a "special" hot sauce that tasted like just a mix of sriracha and Tabasco. Small highlights: the ambiance was nice; it seemed clean. Waiter was nice enough. I hate giving bad reviews, but this was quite a shocking meal.

Perilla is a tastefully decorated restaurant, both loungey and rich, but still makes you feel like the joint is all for you. You know, 5 star service is such a lost art, it makes you forget how much you miss it when all of a sudden it happens to be right in front of you. Ricardo, our bartender, what a gem. Forget about the perfectly made drinks that were served to us. Ricardo made us feel right at home with his kind disposition and friendly demeanor. But it doesn't just stop at Ricardo. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. We could have been served 7-11 sushi at this point and I still would have left 5 stars. Food time. The kimchi pork dumplings were an absolute flavor bomb and that parmesan broth gave the dumplings a little extra kick that took it to the next level. Plus, I love when the dumpling wrapper has a little chew to it and isn't this soft mush that dissolves in your mouth. The beef fat frites were a nice treat as well. They were not extra or over the top in anyway. But you can tell when something is done well and correctly, just like these fries were. The Premium Steakhouse Set, in my opinion, is all two people need to enjoy this very special experience. All the accompanying condiments were exceptional on their own and could have functioned as their own course. The Japchae glass noodles were a stunner. The real sleeper was the chopped lettuce greens tossed in their chili vinaigrette. Could have eaten 20 bowls of those lettuce greens. Sadly, I forgot the name of our server who cooked and cut our meat for us. She really added to the experience.
