This place used to be my go-to place for getting my parts painted. I even recommended them to friends and family but I won't be doing that and won't be coming back myself after my most recent experience. I needed some parts painted (a total of 3) and did not hesitate to coming here as I've had good past experiences with them. While dropping off my parts they told that they would call me and let me know an estimate. A week goes by and nothing so I gave them a call and asked if there's any updates, the lady took my name and number down and said that she would look into it and give me a call back but another week goes by any still nothing. So again, I called but alas the same thing happened, name and number down and will call me back. Another week goes by and finally I get a call from them saying that extra work will need to be done and they told me how much the extra work will be and I went ahead and accepted it. Mind you they never gave me my estimate throughout this whole time. Two weeks go by I called and asked for an update, they told me that my parts will be ready for pick up at the end of the week, the guy on the phone ran some numbers and he told me a total that was way more than I expected! I had no choice but to pay because one of the parts is rare and discontinued. This business seem to be suffering from a little disorganization which at the end bites the customer(s) on the butt. Beware. Tl;dr I wanted an estimate, never got one, then got slapped with a high bill. Seems almost like a scam. read more

Picked up the car last week of May, memorial day week. 2 part review, the 3 star is an average of both experiences. : 5/5 STARS for the body work on my Silver 99 Camaro SS. They gave me an estimate, and actually went under the estimate which I appreciated; they found that could save some of the parts versus buying new ones and replacing them. The work was done in a timely manner considering that monday was Memorial day and they were closed, and my maro is looking like it never had the damage at all. Highly recommended for any and all body work that you might need. 1/5 STARS for my estimate on window regulators, door bezel, and door switch panel (the thing that houses the lock/unlock button and the window up/down button), and communications relating to said estimate. Story: the day I picked up the my maro and paid for it, I spoke to Brian face to face and asked what the estimate would be for both my windows since neither one works. Its summer and i just want to be able to open my windows. On the driver side, my door switch panel is sticking out, and the door bezel is cracked. They did such an amazing job with the repair and did it so quick, I figured it wouldnt hurt to ask for an estimate on the windows. He said hell call me back the next day with the estimate. Cool. NP. I drove my car home. Next day, called and checked in, asked if he had the estimate, was told he didn't have it ready yet, and he would call me back. Cool. NP. Not tilted yet. Literally called a week later, spoke to Aiden, asked once again if they had the estimate, and this time was told that he would call me back, TODAY (the day off), cool. Waited and waited. Never got a call back. Last week, wednesday 6-23-18, while waiting for my camaro to get an oil change, I called again, Aiden picked up. By this point im salty af. I introduced my self again "Hey, its Jason, with the silver camaro" I explicitly told him i've called MULTIPLE times for this estimate, and i was getting sick of it. He assured he'd get right on it. Cool. Finally right? Nope. He did call back and gave me an estimate on my WINDSHIELD repair. #almost But reminded him i asked about my car Windows, not Windshield. Once again, he said he would call back. Hasn't since then. Over it. Im not oblivious. This is a legit family business and they are probably busy, totally understandable. But MY take from all this? My small money/repair estimate is no good here. Regardless of what actually happened, THIS is what it shows me from all this back and forth. Its not a big enuf job for it to be memorable, so its just forgotten, clearly, with the Windshield mistake. Take it for whats its worth. Im over it. 5/5 if you need body repair done, fast and legit, and above a $1000 bucks. 1/5 if you need anything else, and costs less then $1000. read more

Had a very bad experience with a mobile dent repair guy that couldn't match my truck's paint. From what was a small door ding turned into a complete nightmare. Found this place on Yelp. Bryan's estimate was very reasonable. He quoted me 2 to 3 days to complete the repair. The actual job took 5 days because they found some issues with their paint job and needed to respray the truck. I went to go visit this place assuming I would have a large estimate for my car that has a little dent and paint swiped off. I met Byron and he said he could probably wipe the scrape off with acetone so he got a rag and wiped it off and within 2-3 minutes my car was back to normal color! They did a fantastic job fixing the driver's side doors of my car damaged in a minor fender bender. A friend recommended this shop. The repair cost was very reasonable. Eden, who did the estimate, was friendly and kept me posted on the progress of the repair. The quality of workmanship was superb; the paint blending was spot-on. This review is kinda late. Nevertheless it's well deserved. About 1 year ago I came here after I accidentally hit a curb that knocked the side bumper of my car completely off. It was still completely intact but it got unscrewed with the force. I drived a Mazda at the time and I went to 3 body shops who were all charging about 100 bucks (more or less). One shop recommended I come here. I told the man what had happened and he asked me do you still have the screws and I said I have most of them. He was kinda dark skinned Asian. Appeared to maybe be the owner. Not sure. I went back to the place where I hit the curb and found like 2 more screws. Anyways. I came back and the guy went to work right in front of me. He broke out some tools and got underneath my car and began drilling it back in place. I took a picture of him working to post it here on yelp some day but unfortunately I cannot find it. I will post it when I do. Long story short he made my car look normal again in about 15 min. And when I offered to pay he refused. "He said don't worry about it." I couldn't believe it. I understand he didn't spend much time fixing it but regardless he was on the ground fixing my car. I insisted giving him 60 bucks for his time. I think he ended up taking 20 because I wouldn't stop insisting. I left that place shocked and enlightened. You don't meet people like that these days. Although that was a year ago I still remember, and although it's late here's a well deserved 5 star review. 5 star at a minimum. Kono's body shop does exceptional work and their service is amazing. Both my mom and myself have had work done on our cars here. The damage on my mother's car was much more extensive. A driver ran a red light and smashed her front end. By the time they finished the job, it looked like a new car. Recently my front bumper was damaged when someone backed into it. Bryan was very thorough explaining to me how some shops will only repair the patch that was damaged but after a year or two, the different paint would show up. I decided to have them repair it and it looks perfect. They are honest and provide excellent workmanship. read more

I'm way late at writing this review but, I can say that I've been to Konos maybe three or 4 times already bc of a recommendation and it was honestly the best recommendation they could have given me. It's been so consistent. My three or four visits spanned over two years so far and have all been due to pieces of my car hanging off bc of bad driving. Every time I come by, they're fair, to the point, and they will literally explain every option from the cheapest/quickest fix that would still be a viable option to the most permanent or more costly one. Even then, he will try to find the most inexpensive way to do that. There's even been times when I have scratches or bumps on my car and he's tried to just buff it out in front of me, take someone else's car paint off, etc and then charged nothing. Just helpful!! They're also super fast at finding parts and getting work done. The pictures attached are from the latest work. Bought a whole new trunk + labor for less than $350. He could've went with another option that would have cost me $1300 but he kept looking for the cheapest trunk that matched read more

I had my BMW repaired here after experiencing a minor fender bender. I didn't claim with my insurance as Kono gave me a very good price for fixing the damage which is under what my deductable is. So, I was happy with the price. While the car was being fixed, I had to rent a car at rate of $30. Then, some things didn't go as planned. 1) Kono had to wait for a part which took 5 days to come in. It was just a clip that cost $10. So, for that clip, I paid $150 in car rental fees. Had he made that clear to me from the start, I would have gone to a BMW dealership and picked up the part myself. So, I definitely didn't save any money. 2) When I arrived to receive the car, the bumper was not even installed right. Part of it was sticking out. Kono took the bumper apart and started rationalizing about why the part won't fit One of his employees were making suggestions, but he wouldn't listen at first. Then, the employee insisted this the wrong part. So, in order to get this part to work, Kono sanded down my bumper to accomodate the part. Very unprofessional. He treated my car as if it was an 1/25 scale model car. 3) The car was obviously taken for a joy ride. I brought in the car with 1/3 of a tank. And, it was at 1/5 when I picked it up. 4) Whoever took my car out for a joy ride obviously didn't clean their hands. White finger marks were left on my steering wheel, stick and door. 5) To add injury to insult, the coins in my coin box was empty. It had about three bucks worth of change when I brought it in. Small amount, but it shows this place is not trust worthy. 6) A plastic seam that joins the bumper to the body was damaged. I don't know whether it was damaged during the accident or during the repair process. Nevertheless, it was left unrepaired. I was recommended to this place by my mechanic that I've gone to for a few years. I thought this place would be trustworthy despite the appearance of the establishment being less than professional. Anyways, highly not recommended. Didn't give a 1 star as I can imagine a worse situation when dealing with auto repair people. read more

I had my car repainted here. I really love my car, but sitting in the sun had done its damage to the roof and trunk. My mechanic told me about this place, and I am so glad that I brought it here. They did an excellent job. It looks beautiful! This is a family run place, and they stand by their work and service. Bryan, the owner, kept me updated with the process, and followed through with what was promised. He even had the car headlights cleaned for me. Joyce, his sister, works behind the counter, and she's friendly and helpful. There was another lady (I don't know her name) , and she's really sweet. When I was picking up my car, I ran into a mechanic who worked on it, and he asked me what I thought of the paint job. I told him it was fantastic. You can tell he was really proud of his work, and let me tell you, he should be. A friend of mine saw the car, and she couldn't believe how great the paint job looked. I always have good service here. Few people at the Norms Reeves Honda in Cerritos Auto square recommend this place. My whole family takes their Honda's and Acura's here. Ive had a door replace that my mom ran into Had suspension installed here and when a bolt was too tight to install coilovers i bought he loosened it right up for free and sent me on my way. Its a family business from what i can see and they are pretty accurate with the estimated time frame and quotes. Its kind of hard to see but it has red letters and the building is white and it behind another building which makes it hard to see. Brought in my 1987 Camry in for an issue with the trunk striker. Wasn't sure if they could do anything for it given how old the car is. Most shops won't even touch the car because of its age. The striker broke off from the body of the car and there wasn't going to be a quick fix to repair it. They managed to weld in new sheet metal in a very confined space and not only fixed the striker, but also adjusted the trunk so now everything sits flush. I took the car to a local Toyota dealer for a second opinion prior to starting the repair. Toyota wasn't able to fix it.
