I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable.
