Koolfi has some of the most unique flavors out of any creamery I've been to. It was hard picking from their variety of flavors, but eventually I decided on the vegan dark chocolate and date & walnut. I've never seen a dosa cone, so made sure to have my scoops served in that and it was such a unique and flavorful combo. I love that they have ample seating indoors and outdoors. I would say this store has potential. From their sample flight, I've tried malted chocolate, Kapi, Malai, Banana Gulab and Lotis and Rose. I wanted to give them 5 stars for the flavors - Kapi was definitely a strong coffee, Malai has the classic Indian flavots of cardamom and saffron and the pistacchio flavor was abundant. Banana gulab tasted like eating fresh bananas. Lotis and Rose was also flavorful. The space could use some TLC. There were 2 customers taking some thing to go during my visit, but even if the store was not busy, I needed to clean the table I was using. There were only 2 tables inaide, one that coupd seat 6-8 people, and a small round table that we used. Will I come back? We came here on a Saturday right before they opened and didn't realize they were still getting ready. We were meeting up with friends so we didn't mind waiting outside the gate. The owner let us know she's still setting up but we are more than welcome to hangout in the patio until they did and she opened the gate for us. It was hot so we were super thankful for the hospitality. After they opened we tried their flavors and you get two scoops per person. This is pretty standard these days especially after Covid. We tried the mango lassi and guava red chilli. Both were delicious but I would recommend mango lassi if you're a first timer. What I ended up trying was the Gulab Jamun Sundae. Let me tell you it was bomb dot com. I was initially disappointed by the price for the portion, but after eating it I understood why it was so small. The flavors were super decadent and rich. That small amount was definitely enough for this sundae. I would recommend trying it at some point during your adventures here at Koolfi. One last bit, there is limited indoor seating and a handful of outdoor seating. Its definitely not a come during peak time with friends place but a pick up and go spot. I could tell there was a lot of love and passion put behind this business. The various ice cream flavors are so inventive and unlike anything i've seen at any other ice cream shop and everything is made fresh in house! I asked the clerk. "Yeah, we don't have that one today. It's the owner's birthday, so this week her favorite flavors are the ones available." What about the Salted Caramel Ghee Fudge? "Ah! Sorry. That one's not here either. We just had it yesterday." I'm annoyed that I need to tell my wife that they don't have either flavor. She wanted to tell me to leave, but neither of us had other options in mind. So, disappointed, she told me to order a scoop of Cookies 'n Cream. The ice cream was good, but how am I supposed to return when I have to guess what the flavors are? The website shows a variety of flavors, but evidently, those flavors advertise their pints. I was told I'm limited to only two samples, so I tried the raspberry black pepper, which I personally liked because it was sweet with a savory kick, and the mom's cardamom which was heavy on cardamom flavor. They had another butterscotch with cashew praline flavor that I wish I could've sampled. I ultimately decided to get a split single (which is $6.50 before tax and tip) of matcha and raspberry (a new flavor) and kheer rice pudding (also a new flavor, seasonal), and paid via cash since they have a $10 minimum for using credit card. The matcha and raspberry just had hints of raspberry that I couldn't really tasted and mostly tastes like matcha. It was still good if you like raspberry. I really liked the kheer rice pudding flavor, more than I like the actual dessert, as it was sweet and savory at the same time. I still enjoy their ice cream, and they offer various foods including sundaes, toast, and coffee. And when I say unique, I mean flavor combinations I've never imagined together before. They allow you to sample 2 flavors per person and have rotating flavors. I got a Split Single Scoop which was $1 more than a regular single scoop. I got a half scoop of the Klassic Koolfi (pistachios, walnuts, saffron, cardamom, and rose water) and half scoop of the Chai flavor (can't remember the exact name of it). I'd say the scoops were pretty generous so it was a reasonable price especially for having such unique flavors. When I first tried the Klassic Koolfi, it was good, but I didn't realize how much I'd like it until I was a few bites into my actual scoop. It was pretty floral and aromatic so it took a little bit to grow on me. However, it quickly grew on me and I loved how creamy the Klassic Koolfi was. I loved how I tasted something different in each bite which just shows how nuanced this flavor was. My favorite thing was searching for the little pistachio bits like they were treasure. The Chai flavor was good, but I actually didn't sample it before getting it because there were so many other flavors I wanted to try. I just assumed it would be a safe option to go with. I liked the flavor of it, but compared to the Klassic Koolfi, the texture was slightly icy. I assumed this was the case since there was more water content in the ice cream from the tea. Obviously, they have ice cream available but if you browse their menu they also offer quite a bit of other desserts, drinks, and savory items. You can sample some of their flavors before decided to choose one. They also offer split scoops, if you can't decide, for just a dollar or so more. Or you can go in on a flight and enjoy multiple flavors. I went with their Mango Lassi. The staff mentioned it was a crowd favorite and I can see why. The sweet mango flavor hits the spot without being too tart. I also tried the bombay butterscotch and was having a hard time choosing between the two - that was so good too! I love being able to find these incredible ice cream flavors you can't get anywhere else, including the Klassic (Malai) Koolfi that has delicious cardamom seasoning paired with rose water and pistachios, saffron and walnuts. This particular trip I opted for the Gulab Jamun sundae which had warm, syrupy gulab jamun donuts for the base, ice cream scope of your choice, and topping of crushed pistachios and rose petals.
