Stopped by for lunch, the staff was not around I had to come up to ask for help, when we ordered a our lunch we did not enjoy chicken salad the peanut sauce had horrible flavor when I asked for a different sauce she said "this all we have, my customers like it" then she left did not offer us anything instead. This place is disgusting. If I could give zero stars I would. The food was horrible and the customer service was even worse. We ordered pad thai, and shrimp salad rolls. Our pad Thai was average but we both ordered the exact same thing and they were both different missing so many things.. our shrimp salad rolls were RANCID. Yes, RANCID. Went in for lunch. Ordered pad Thai and and a Thai salad. The salad was just wedge lettuce, cucumber and a piece of tomato. When we asked the waitress for a different dressing because their peanut sauce had a funny taste she said no. She said they warm up peanut butter then put it on the salad. Needless to say we didn't eat the salad and were not give any alternate "dressings" or sauces to eat it with. When my husband picked up our order the woman added an extra #39!!! I called her right away and she said to bring it back and they'd credit my order. I've eaten here once before with a friend that introduced me to this restaurant. I had white wine, Crab Puffs & Yellow Curry. This particular visit was fantastic. The service from Victoria was great. The food was very tasty and well done. Fast-forward 4 months later. My friend and I went in 2 days ago. The restaurant had 2 other patrons, and just my friend and I. We sat down at a booth & the server (male owner) gave us menu's, then completely ignored us for 6 minutes. 3 people came in whom was obviously friends of the owner. He sat them down, promptly gave them water, menu's the whole thing. My friend and i were sitting for another 5 minutes....just waiting. No water, no check-back. After 15 minutes without another word from the server the other owner Victoria came out of the back chomping on some food she was eating and greeted the new arrivals and again, completely ignored my table. We decided to get up and before we left, i expressed we had been waiting for 15 minutes for service, and we had been there before the friends came in. She didn't even look up to apologize at all. She said "Ya, that's fine" and continued conversing with her friends. I suggest being friends with the owners to get any type of service. Otherwise, you won't be acknowledged passed having menu's thrown on the table. read more

The owners are from Thailand, and authentic Thai food is what you'll get.. If you don't see something on the menu you like, ask for it - they'll modify anything to your tastes. The Salad Rolls (w/ shrimp - ask them to add it) and Green Curry w/ Tofu is our standard fare. And the curry is packed with vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, carrots, peppers, onions... every time). This is the most underwhelming Thai and skimpy servings I've ever had. They charge the same price as other places for their spring rolls, yet they don't include any shrimp and it's pretty much only romaine lettuce. It's a rip off. Then their fried rice is a huge pile of rice with a skimpy amount of frozen peas, carrots and onions thrown in. They put 5 cashews, a couple pieces of chicken and pineapple on the top so it appears like your getting substance. In addition, it lacks flavor. The service isn't good either. It appears like they are struggling and trying to give you the least amount of quality food, so they can maximize their profit. I understand everyone needs to make money, but they should not serve subpar food and charge the same price as the other local Thai restaurants - that being said go to Arawan Thai. read more

HUGE portion, got the bottom of the pot. 15 or so bamboo shoots thrown on top. Ingredients list green onion. 1/2" piece in the mess. Ate 1/4 cup and disgusted with oil (seemed rancid) tossed it. We usually come here whenever we are craving Thai food. They have papaya salad served Laos style and we always get this as our appetizer. The lady there is so sweet. Despite that, the food last time was just okay. We ordered the lemon grass grilled chicken which was just okay and my husband ordered the pad Thai which is was good. We have ordered all their curries before and compared to what we have ate before, the curries are just okay. We're newer to this area so we hope to find a place that will wow us every time. read more

We're huge fans of Thai in this family and when we stumbled across Kop Chai we were very excited... we've been looking for a replacement for our fav Thai restaurant in Atlanta (also I'm addicted to roti and Thai tea, what can I say). The menu is pretty limited but it has all the traditional fare. Thankfully my little kid-type-beasts are an adventurous sort and weren't daunted at all. While they didn't serve the items we were 'used' to (like Mee siam or roti) the menu DID have a nice array of choices. The restaurant is small with brisk take out traffic and it took a while to get service, but the food was AMAZING. Spicy dishes were perfectly spicy, the panang was subtle and delicate and even the left overs I had for lunch today were epic! I only gave the restaurant a three star rating because waiting for service was pretty sorry. Next time we order we're going to get take out. I'll adjust my rating then. read more

Don't actually know what happened to the two young men that used to be there all the time but I sure do miss them. Service is way down taste of food is ok but cleanliness and attention to detail made me want to stop going there. We went for dinner ordered an appetizer finished that and the exact same appetizer was brought out to our table put on top of the old dirty plate the first chicken satay was brought out on with yes as you know the sticks might have been in our mouths fingers and hands touching the plate and we touched that plate as well. The server came back 2 min later and removed the chicken satay from our table and put in on the table of the family next to us. Working in hospitality of course I said something to the family as I would have wanted someone to call that to my attention. It's been consistent drop in service same good food but it makes me wonder if they do that what happens in the kitchen.... read more
