Food was just okay. We waited forever to be waited on and to receive our food. The service was sub par as well.

Waited to be seated, which I understand. Then had no service for about 20 minutes at the table. Asked for someone to take our order. The owner did, and then about 15-20 minutes after we ordered we still have no food so we asked and the owner was not very sympathetic. Simply said "we are busy, it's coming". Over about a 10 minute period our food was brought out plate by plate, no one received their complete order at once, everyone in our party got their food at different times. No acknowledgment of the poor service. No discount offered. No apology. We will not be returning. read more

I wish I would have read the bad reviews before coming here. It seems like many Hispanic families experienced a similar situation as my family and I did today. We waited approx 45 minutes for a table to not get service. The waitress didn't bother to take our order nor offer drinks, kept going around us attending to other white families who were seated after us, offering crackers to their white kids and babying them.. mind you, we had kids too. I kept trying to catch their attention but it seemed they purposely kept turning their heads... After waiting 20 mins we walked out.. Small details is what makes this place worth a visit. The salsa is homemade as is the rum sauce. The biscuits and gravy had chunks of corn beef instead of boring sausage. The fruit cup is real fresh fruit and not in syrup. The red pepper, feta, and spinach omelette was fluffy and full of toppings. The pumpkin pancakes with rum sauce are crazy good. I really want to try the pancakes and anything with the rum sauce. Maybe a slice of pie. They have no public wifi. The local paper doesn't have a crossword so don't waste your 75 cent in the machine out front. The bathroom was sparkling and smelled of the Alps in springtime. I came on a week day and sat at the counter. Service was outstanding. I also don't care if my server is a Nazi and there is a long wait if the food is good. I love this home town spot. Breakfast is always very yummy and great comfort food. I had lunch here for the first time yesterday and ordered the Kettle Club and it was awesome. I also had one of the most delicious berry cobblers. I would love to give this place 4 stars but the reason I can't is it's slow service and slow food. The restaurant is also a bit hodgepodge with its decor and seating. If you have some time this place is definitely worth a try for its home taste cooking. read more

While out and about on an early Sunday morning I yelped looking for good pancakes. The Kopper Kettle Kafe popped up. We both ordered the Double Header, too much good for each of us. Mine: 2 eggs, 4 bacon (comes with 2 bacon 2 sausage) and 2 pumpkin pancakes w/butter rum sauce. His: Egg whites, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, Belgian waffle. We loved our breakfast. Only 4 stars for 2 reasons. 1: egg whites we not good. Must be box stuff, we asked but the young man said he didn't know if they were real or not. 2: parking is very limited. We have no problem walking but noticed an older couple had to park pretty far and they we slow to walk. We walked with them just to keep them company. Very, very GOOD COFFEE!! Ok, our first time here. I had the eggs, hash browns and French toast. The eggs were done perfect as was the hash browns, nice and crispy. The French toast is thick and very tasty. Wife had eggs, home fries and bacon. It was all done perfectly. Her scrambled eggs were not runny at all. The bacon was very good. They weren't under done and lumpy. The service was very good. The atmosphere is really cool. Like you're eating outside of bistros on the sidewalk. If you like it a little quieter, definitely get here before 9:00. At 9:00 it seems to get a little louder. I used to love this place. I loved her lemon bars,pies, and cookies. The last couple of time's me and my daughters along with our friend, had horrible service. We had a young lady as our server, never got my toast after she said it was coming, it came at the end when we were leaving. We just went 2 weekends ago, and the skinny older waitress has always been rude but this time, she made us feel horrible. My friend stayed in to pay the bill as her ass dropped it off when she dropped off our food, her ass is too old that she probably didn't remember she dropped it off. He asked is this our check and I said yes it is, that was that. Me and my daughters walk out, here come old lady shouting " hey did you pay apple pay? I said what and she repeated herself my reply was " he's paying right now. She went back in and as he wrapped up paying she asked if he needed help. The owner was worried about her rent going up! Definitely hit this place by word of the mouth hearing they had great breakfast. Viewing their menu, the Monte Cristo spoke to me with "Devour me!!". I would have given this place a straight up 4 stars. HOWEVER...... The service was particularly horrible to my family..... 1) The first indication was the unwelcoming greeting of "you can seat anywhere". No hello or good morning etc.... Whereas other patrons were brought to their seats with menus. 2) Upon seating, we did not receive any menus for at least 10 minutes to see what great food they supposedly are known for. 3) We were short one silverware set at the table. Given I did not need a silverware set, I made due without needing the utensils. 4) Our drinks barely arrived at our table, after me noticing a couple who arrived later than my family, had gotten their food whereas we have not given our orders as our waitress was MIA..... 5) After 40 mins, our food arrived. I give it their food was really good. Waitress never returned to check up on us, offer refills, or see if we needed anything else. 6) We literally had to get up and look for the waitress when we needed simply extra napkins. I had observed neighboring patrons/couples/families and I did notice their service was a bit more friendly and the waitress was more attentive to them. At no point, we expressed any rudeness or displeasure back to the waitress. I still felt the need to point out the service was particularly bad to us. Unfortunately, I would even say a bit of racism was handed to us because we were the only family in there of different ethnicity. I do feel bad to give this place a 1 star but the service was seriously horrid. I would not go back because my family and I did feel uncomfortable eating here. DNR (DO NOT RETURN) stamped! read more

Went in for breakfast while I was back in town. There was a short line of other people waiting for a seat. This place was really busy. We finally got called after a wait but is was not that bad. We were seated at a table in the middle of the room. Not bad. Our server came right over and took our drink order. She came right back with the waters we ordered. We then ordered our breakfast. Thinking it would be a while I went for a paper out front. When I got back our food was just coming out! WOW! fast cooks!! The breakfast was real hot and looked great. My scrambled eggs were perfect! Not overcooked at all. The potatoes were good as well. My bacon was crisp and not a lot of fat. The toast was really good to. good and buttered!! All in all the breakfast here is one of the best we have had. We both were extremely happy with how the food was prepared and the taste. We usually do not concur on anything but the food we did! The service was also great! The place was clean and set up nice like old fashioned in some way with pictures on the walls and older tables. brings you back to the old places I ate at when I was a kid. The best homemade food! The atmospheres very warm and charming. Like being at grandmas house. They make homemade soups everyday. Two of my favorites being green bean casserole soup and the cream of mushroom. On this particular occasion I enjoyed the pork chops with house made apple sauce. The apple sauce is chunky and delightful. Their homemade jam served with the dinner roll is to die for. They actually sell it up front if you want to buy some and take some home. I frequently order their open faced turkey sandwich which is make with whole chunks of real turkey not deli sliced meats like some restaurants. The service is impeccable. And I won't even get started on the homemade desserts. But the buttermilk pie...OMG! read more

Kopper Kettle is a good spot for breakfast, especially how fast they get you in. I was a little skeptical to check this place out based on the Yelp reviews. I'm glad I did go because the food was good. The service was fine, I didn't experience any rude servers. The first time I went I ordered a veggie omelet and my boyfriend ordered a bacon avo omelette. Both the meals were delicious, omelets were fluffy. Next time I went I had to order the famous pumpkin pancakes. I am so glad I did they tasted just like pumpkin pie and really satisfied my sweet tooth. My boyfriend ordered the corn beef and hash which I tried and was very flavorful. Service was terrible. Went in on a Sunday which yes is a busy time however we were told wait was only 15 mins wait ended up being 30 mins. And then we ordered immediately and still waited for over 40 mins for our sub par food. I got the French toast and in between my pieces was a mushroom and some cheese! Very odd since I didn't order anything that had those ingredients. There was one waitress there that looked as if she had just rolled out of bed. Hair unkept, very beyond dirty apron and her pants and shoes were filthy as well. I know finding help is hard but a cleanliness standard must be kept up in the food industry. As mentioned previously, I am not a breakfast person but when I roll out of bed early enough the gf and I hit up the KKK. They serve typical comfort food with country clutter strewn on the walls. The KKK is a good family restaurant and you are likely to see a couple generations of families eating together or run into old friends/neighbors while dinning. I more often than not go the cinnamon raisin french toast with rum sauce. That meal is heaven on earth and will leave you undoing the top button on your jeans after your done. KKK is always packed on weekend mornings but we have never had to wait to be seated. Expect a 20 minute wait for food that won't leave you wishing you had gone some where else. Such a cute brunch place in Yucaipa! Great food, adorable decor, and friendly service. My sisters and I didnt want to go to Dennys again, so Yelp led us to a great brunch option. My sisters got pancakes, oatmeal, turkey sandwich, potato cheddar soup, and I got biscuits and gravy with an egg, sausage links and one blueberry pancake. We enjoyed it all. Just picked up a To Go order- Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, home fries& white toast. Eggs very easy & home fries crispy 2 times I specified this!!!! Total opposite! Eggs hard, limp potatoes & chicken fried steak so tough couldn't cut it without using a steak knife! Very disappointed. The main room has an intimate yet fun feel to it. The servers are constantly making sure you're OK and the food is incredible. We've always gone for breakfast and they have a ton of options to pick from. Whether you're a veg head or a meat lover, they will have something for you and I guarantee it will be delicious.
